Exodus 9
1 Then the LORD said unto Moses: 'Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him: Thus saith the LORD, the God of the Hebrews: Let My people go, that they may serve Me.
Entonces Jehová dijo a Moisés: Entra a Faraón, y díle: Jehová, el Dios de los Hebreos, dice así: Deja ir a mi pueblo, para que me sirvan:
2 For if thou refuse to let them go, and wilt hold them still,
Porque si no lo quieres dejar ir, y aun los detuvieres,
3 behold, the hand of the LORD is upon thy cattle which are in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the herds, and upon the flocks; there shall be a very grievous murrain.
He aquí, la mano de Jehová será sobre tus ganados que están en el campo, caballos, asnos, camellos, vacas, y ovejas con pestilencia gravísima:
4 And the LORD shall make a division between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt; and there shall nothing die of all that belongeth to the children of Israel.'
Y Jehová hará separación entre los ganados de Israel, y los de Egipto, que nada muera de todo lo de los hijos de Israel:
5 And the LORD appointed a set time, saying: 'Tomorrow the LORD shall do this thing in the land.'
Y Jehová señaló tiempo, diciendo: Mañana hará Jehová esta cosa en la tierra.
6 And the LORD did that thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt died; but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.
Y el día siguiente Jehová hizo esta cosa, que todo el ganado de Egipto murió; mas del ganado de los hijos de Israel no murió uno.
7 And Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not so much as one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. But the heart of Pharaoh was stubborn, and he did not let the people go.
Entonces Faraón envió a ver, y he aquí que del ganado de los hijos de Israel no había muerto uno. Y el corazón de Faraón se agravó, y no dejó ir al pueblo.
8 And the LORD said unto Moses and unto Aaron: 'Take to you handfuls of soot of the furnace, and let Moses throw it heavenward in the sight of Pharaoh.
Y Jehová dijo a Moisés y a Aarón: Tomáos vuestros puños llenos de la ceniza de un horno, y espárzala Moisés hacia el cielo delante de Faraón.
9 And it shall become small dust over all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.'
Y volverse ha en polvo sobre toda la tierra de Egipto, que en los hombres y en las bestias se volverá en sarna que eche vejigas, por toda la tierra de Egipto.
10 And they took soot of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses threw it up heavenward; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man and upon beast.
Y ellos tomaron la ceniza del horno, y pusiéronse delante de Faraón, y esparcióla Moisés hacia el cielo, y vino una sarna que echaba vejigas así en los hombres como en las bestias:
11 And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boils were upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians.
Que los magos no podían estar delante de Moisés a causa de la sarna, porque hubo sarna en los magos, y en todos los Egipcios.
12 And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses.
Y Jehová endureció el corazón de Faraón para que no los oyese, como Jehová lo había dicho a Moisés.
13 And the LORD said unto Moses: 'Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say unto him: Thus saith the LORD, the God of the Hebrews: Let My people go, that they may serve Me.
Entonces Jehová dijo a Moisés: Levántate de mañana, y ponte delante de Faraón, y díle: Jehová, el Dios de los Hebreos, dice así: Deja ir mi pueblo para que me sirva.
14 For I will this time send all My plagues upon thy person, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none like Me in all the earth.
Porque de otra manera esta vez yo envío todas mis plagas a tu corazón, y en tus siervos, y en tu pueblo, para que entiendas, que no hay otro como yo en toda la tierra.
15 Surely now I had put forth My hand, and smitten thee and thy people with pestilence, and thou hadst been cut off from the earth.
Porque ahora yo extenderé mi mano para herirte a ti y a tu pueblo de pestilencia, y serás quitado de la tierra.
16 But in very deed for this cause have I made thee to stand, to show thee My power, and that My name may be declared throughout all the earth.
Porque a la verdad yo te he puesto para declarar en ti mi poderío, y que mi nombre sea contado en toda la tierra.
17 As yet exaltest thou thyself against My people, that thou wilt not let them go?
Tú aun te ensalzas contra mi pueblo para no dejarlos ir.
18 Behold, tomorrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the day it was founded even until now.
Pues he aquí que mañana a estas horas yo haré llover granizo muy grave, cual nunca fue en Egipto, desde el día que se fundó hasta ahora.
19 Now therefore send, hasten in thy cattle and all that thou hast in the field; for every man and beast that shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.'
Envía pues, recoge tu ganado, y todo lo que tienes en el campo; porque todo hombre o animal que se hallare en el campo y no fuere recogido a casa, el granizo descenderá sobre él, y morirá.
20 He that feared the word of the LORD among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses;
El de los siervos de Faraón, que temió la palabra de Jehová, hizo huir sus siervos y su ganado a casa:
21 and he that regarded not the word of the LORD left his servants and his cattle in the field.
Mas el que no puso en su corazón la palabra de Jehová, dejó sus siervos y sus ganados en el campo.
22 And the LORD said unto Moses: 'Stretch forth thy hand toward heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon beast, and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.'
Y Jehová dijo a Moisés: Extiende tu mano hacia el cielo, para que venga granizo en toda la tierra de Egipto sobre los hombres y sobre las bestias, y sobre toda la yerba del campo en la tierra de Egipto.
23 And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven; and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and fire ran down unto the earth; and the LORD caused to hail upon the land of Egypt.
Y Moisés extendió su vara hacia el cielo, y Jehová hizo truenos, y fuego discurría por la tierra: y llovió Jehová granizo sobre la tierra de Egipto.
24 So there was hail, and fire flashing up amidst the hail, very grievous, such as had not been in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.
Y hubo granizo, y fuego mezclado entre el granizo, muy grande cual nunca fue en toda la tierra de Egipto; desde que fue habitada.
25 And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and broke every tree of the field.
Y aquel granizo hirió en toda la tierra de Egipto todo lo que estaba en el campo, así hombres como bestias: asimismo toda la yerba del campo hirió el granizo, y quebró todos los árboles del campo.
26 Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.
Solamente en la tierra de Gosén, donde los hijos de Israel estaban, no hubo granizo.
27 And Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said unto them: 'I have sinned this time; the LORD is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.
Entonces Faraón envió a llamar a Moisés y a Aarón, y díjoles: Yo he pecado esta vez. Jehová es justo, y yo y mi pueblo impío.
28 Entreat the LORD, and let there be enough of these mighty thunderings and hail; and I will let you go, and ye shall stay no longer.'
Orád a Jehová, y cesen los truenos de Dios y el granizo; y yo os dejaré ir, y no quedaréis más aquí.
29 And Moses said unto him: 'As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread forth my hands unto the LORD; the thunders shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that thou mayest know that the earth is the LORD'S.
Y respondióle Moisés: En saliendo yo de la ciudad extenderé mis manos a Jehová, y los truenos cesarán, y no habrá más granizo, para que sepas que de Jehová es la tierra:
30 But as for thee and thy servants, I know that ye will not yet fear the LORD God.' —
Mas yo conozco a ti y a tus siervos de antes que temieseis de la presencia del Dios Jehová.
31 And the flax and the barley were smitten; for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was in bloom.
El lino y la cebada fueron heridos; porque la cebada estaba ya espigada, y el lino en caña.
32 But the wheat and the spelt were not smitten; for they ripen late. —
Mas el trigo y el centeno no fueron heridos, porque eran tardíos.
33 And Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread forth his hands unto the LORD; and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.
Y salido Moisés de con Faraón de la ciudad, extendió sus manos a Jehová, y cesaron los truenos y el granizo; y la lluvia no cayó más sobre la tierra.
34 And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.
Y viendo Faraón, que la lluvia había cesado, y el granizo y los truenos, perseveró en pecar, y agravó su corazón él y sus siervos.
35 And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the children of Israel go; as the LORD had spoken by Moses.
Y el corazón de Faraón se endureció, y no dejó ir los hijos de Israel, como Jehová lo había dicho por mano de Moisés.
