Exodus 7
1 And the LORD said unto Moses: 'See, I have set thee in God's stead to Pharaoh; and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.
Y él Señor dijo a Moisés: Mira, yo te he puesto por dios a Faraón, y tu hermano Aarón será tu profeta.
2 Thou shalt speak all that I command thee; and Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land.
Di todo lo que te ordene que digas: y tu hermano Aarón dará palabra a Faraón para que los hijos de Israel salgan de su tierra.
3 And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and multiply My signs and My wonders in the land of Egypt.
Y haré arder el corazón de Faraón, y mis señales y maravillas aumentarán en la tierra de Egipto.
4 But Pharaoh will not hearken unto you, and I will lay My hand upon Egypt, and bring forth My hosts, My people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt, by great judgments.
Pero Faraón no los escuchará, y pondré mi mano sobre Egipto y sacaré a mis ejércitos, a mi pueblo, a los hijos de Israel, de Egipto, después de grandes castigos.
5 And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I stretch forth My hand upon Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them.'
Y los egipcios verán que yo soy el Señor, cuando mi mano se extienda sobre Egipto, y saque a los hijos de Israel de entre ellos.
6 And Moses and Aaron did so; as the LORD commanded them, so did they.
Y Moisés y Aarón lo hicieron así como el Señor les dio órdenes, así lo hicieron.
7 And Moses was fourscore years old, and Aaron fourscore and three years old, when they spoke unto Pharaoh.
Y Moisés tenía ochenta años, y Aarón ochenta y tres años, cuando dieron la palabra del Señor a Faraón.
8 And the LORD spoke unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying:
Y el Señor dijo a Moisés y Aarón,
9 'When Pharaoh shall speak unto you, saying: Show a wonder for you; then thou shalt say unto Aaron: Take thy rod, and cast it down before Pharaoh, that it become a serpent.'
Si Faraón te dice: “Déjame ver una maravilla”, entonces dile a Aarón: Toma tu vara y ponla en la tierra delante de Faraón para que se convierta en serpiente.
10 And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so, as the LORD had commanded; and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh and before his servants, and it became a serpent.
Entonces Moisés y Aarón fueron a Faraón e hicieron como el Señor había dicho: y Aarón posó su vara sobre el suelo delante de Faraón y sus siervos, y se hizo serpiente.
11 Then Pharaoh also called for the wise men and the sorcerers; and they also, the magicians of Egypt, did in like manner with their secret arts.
Entonces Faraón envió a los hombres sabios y los magos, y ellos, los magos de Egipto, hicieron lo mismo con sus artes secretas.
12 For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents; but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods.
Porque cada uno de ellos bajó su vara sobre la tierra, y se convirtieron en serpientes; pero la vara de Aarón se tragó las varas de ellos.
13 And Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken.
Pero el corazón de Faraón se endureció, y no los escuchó, como el Señor había dicho.
14 And the LORD said unto Moses: 'Pharaoh's heart is stubborn, he refuseth to let the people go.
Y el SEÑOR dijo a Moisés y Aarón: El corazón de Faraón no ha cambiado; él no dejará ir a la gente.
15 Get thee unto Pharaoh in the morning; lo, he goeth out unto the water; and thou shalt stand by the river's brink to meet him; and the rod which was turned to a serpent shalt thou take in thy hand.
Ve a Faraón por la mañana; cuando salga al agua, lo estarás esperando al borde del Nilo, con la vara que se convirtió en una serpiente en tu mano;
16 And thou shalt say unto him: The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, hath sent me unto thee, saying: Let My people go, that they may serve Me in the wilderness; and, behold, hitherto thou hast not hearkened;
Y dile: el Señor, el Dios de los hebreos, me ha enviado a ti, diciendo: Deja ir a mi pueblo, para que me den culto en el desierto; pero hasta ahora no has escuchado sus palabras.
17 thus saith the LORD: In this thou shalt know that I am the LORD — behold, I will smite with the rod that is in my hand upon the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.
Entonces el Señor dice: En esto puedes estar seguro de que yo soy el Señor; mira, con el toque de esta vara en mi mano, las aguas del Nilo se volverán sangre;
18 And the fish that are in the river shall die, and the river shall become foul; and the Egyptians shall loathe to drink water from the river.'
Y los peces en el Nilo vendrán a la destrucción, y el río arrojará un mal olor, y los egipcios no podrán, por disgusto, hacer uso del agua del Nilo para beber.
19 And the LORD said unto Moses: 'Say unto Aaron: Take thy rod, and stretch out thy hand over the waters of Egypt, over their rivers, over their streams, and over their pools, and over all their ponds of water, that they may become blood; and there shall be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood and in vessels of stone.'
Y el SEÑOR dijo: Di a Aarón: Extiende la vara que tienes en la mano sobre las aguas de Egipto, sobre los ríos, arroyos, y sobre toda extensión de aguas, para que se conviertan a sangre; y habrá sangre por toda la tierra de Egipto, en vasos de madera y en vasos de piedra.
20 And Moses and Aaron did so, as the LORD commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood.
Y Moisés y Aarón hicieron como Él Señor lo había dicho; y cuando su vara se alzó y se extendió sobre las aguas del Nilo ante los ojos de Faraón y sus siervos, toda el agua en el Nilo se convirtió en sangre;
21 And the fish that were in the river died; and the river became foul, and the Egyptians could not drink water from the river; and the blood was throughout all the land of Egypt.
Y los peces en el Nilo llegaron a ser destruidos, y salió un mal olor del río, y los egipcios no pudieron usar el agua del Nilo para beber; y hubo sangre en toda la tierra de Egipto.
22 And the magicians of Egypt did in like manner with their secret arts; and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken.
Y las magos de Egipto hicieron lo mismo con sus artes secretas; pero el corazón de Faraón se endureció, y no los escuchó, como el Señor había dicho.
23 And Pharaoh turned and went into his house, neither did he lay even this to heart.
Entonces Faraón entró en su casa, y no se tomó esto en serio.
24 And all the Egyptians digged round about the river for water to drink; for they could not drink of the water of the river.
Y todos los egipcios hicieron agujeros alrededor del Nilo para obtener agua potable, porque no podían usar el agua del Nilo.
25 And seven days were fulfilled, after that the LORD had smitten the river.
Y pasaron siete días, después que el Señor puso su mano en el Nilo.
