Ecclesiastes 2
1 I said in my heart: 'Come now, I will try thee with mirth, and enjoy pleasure'; and, behold, this also was vanity.
၁တဖန်ငါ သည် ကိုယ် စိတ်နှလုံး ထဲမှာ ပြော သည် ကား၊ လာ ပါ။ ရွှင်လန်း ခြင်းအားဖြင့် သင့် ကိုငါစုံစမ်း မည်။ သို့ဖြစ်၍ ၊ ကာမဂုဏ် ၌ ပျော်မွေ့ လော့ဟု ဆိုရာတွင်၊ ထို အမှုအရာသည်လည်း အနတ္တ ဖြစ်လေ၏။
2 I said of laughter: 'It is mad'; and of mirth: 'What doth it accomplish?'
၂ရယ်မော ခြင်းကို သင်သည် အရူး ဖြစ်၏ဟူ၍၎င်း၊ ရွှင်လန်း ခြင်းကို အဘယ်ကြောင့် ဤသို့ ပြု သနည်း ဟူ၍၎င်း ငါဆိုရ ၏။
3 I searched in my heart how to pamper my flesh with wine, and, my heart conducting itself with wisdom, how yet to lay hold on folly, till I might see which it was best for the sons of men that they should do under the heaven the few days of their life.
၃တဖန်လူ သား တို့သည် မိုဃ်း ကောင်းကင်အောက် ၌၊ တသက်လုံး ပြု သင့်သောအမှုကောင်း ကို သိ အံ့သောငှါ ၊ ပညာ တရားကို လေ့ကျက် လျက် နှင့်၊ စပျစ်ရည် အလို သို့ လိုက်၍ ၊ မိုက် သောအကျင့်ဓလေ့၌ ကျင်လည် ခြင်းငှါ ၊ ငါကြံစည် ၏။
4 I made me great works; I builded me houses; I planted me vineyards;
၄ကြီးကျယ်သောအလုပ်ကို စီရင် ၍ အိမ် တို့ကို ဆောက် ၏။ စပျစ် ဥယျဉ်တို့ကိုလည်း စိုက် ၏။
5 I made me gardens and parks, and I planted trees in them of all kinds of fruit;
၅ဥယျာဉ် အမျိုးမျိုးကို ပြုစု ၍ ၊ ခပ်သိမ်း သော အသီး မျိုးကို သီးသောအပင် တို့ကိုလည်း စိုက် ၏။
6 I made me pools of water, to water therefrom the wood springing up with trees;
၆သစ်ပင် မျိုး နှင့် ပြည့်စုံသောတော ကို ရေ လောင်း စရာဘို့ ရေကန် တို့ကိုလည်း လုပ် ၏။
7 I acquired men-servants and maid-servants, and had servants born in my house; also I had great possessions of herds and flocks, above all that were before me in Jerusalem;
၇ကျွန် ယောက်ျား၊ ကျွန် မိန်းမတို့ကိုသိမ်းယူ ၍ ၊ ကျွန်သားပေါက် များလည်း ရှိ ကြ၏။ ငါ့ အရင် ၊ ယေရုရှလင် မြို့၌ ဖြစ် ဘူးသော သူ အပေါင်း တို့ထက် ၊ ငါ သည်တိရစ္ဆာန် အကြီးအငယ်တို့နှင့် အလွန် ရ တတ်၏။
8 I gathered me also silver and gold, and treasure such as kings and the provinces have as their own; I got me men-singers and women-singers, and the delights of the sons of men, women very many.
၈ရွှေ ငွေ ကို၎င်း ၊ ရှင်ဘုရင် နှင့်ဆိုင်သောဘဏ္ဍာ ၊ ကျေးရွာတို့၌ ခွဲသောအခွန်ကို၎င်းငါဆည်းပူး ၏။ အငြိမ့် သမားယောက်ျားမိန်းမတို့ကို၎င်း ၊ လူ သား တို့ ပျော်မွေ့ တတ်သော ကြင်လျှာမိန်းမ မောင်းမမိဿံတို့ကို၎င်းငါသိမ်းယူ ၏။
9 So I was great, and increased more than all that were before me in Jerusalem; also my wisdom stood me in stead.
၉ထိုသို့ ငါ့ အရင် ၊ ယေရုရှလင် မြို့၌ ဖြစ် ဘူးသောသူ အပေါင်း တို့ထက် ၊ ငါသည် တိုးပွါး ၍ ကြီးမြင့် ခြင်းသို့ ရောက်၏။ ငါ့ ပညာ လည်း တည် လျက်ရှိ၏။
10 And whatsoever mine eyes desired I kept not from them; I withheld not my heart from any joy, for my heart had joy of all my labour; and this was my portion from all my labour.
၁၀ငါ့ မျက်စိ တပ်မက် လိုချင်သောအရာ တစုံတခုကိုမျှ ငါမ ငြင်း ၊ ငါ့ စိတ် ရွှင်လန်း စရာ တစုံတခု ကိုမျှမ ပယ်။ ငါ ကြိုးစား သမျှ တို့၌ ဝမ်းမြောက် လျက်ရှိ ၍ ၊ ကြိုးစား ခြင်း အကျိုး ကိုခံရ၏။
11 Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do; and, behold, all was vanity and a striving after wind, and there was no profit under the sun.
၁၁ထိုအခါ ငါ စီရင် ပြုပြင်သမျှ ၊ ငါ ကြိုးစား အားထုတ်သမျှတို့ ကိုငါ ကြည့်ရှု ၍ ၊ အလုံးစုံ တို့သည် အနတ္တ အမှု၊ လေ ကိုကျက်စား သော အမှုဖြစ်ကြ၏။နေ အောက် မှာကောင်း သောအကျိုးတစုံတခုမျှမ ရှိ။
12 And I turned myself to behold wisdom, and madness and folly; for what can the man do that cometh after the king? even that which hath been already done.
၁၂တဖန် ငါ လှည့် ၍ ပညာ တရားကို၎င်း ၊ လျှပ်ပေါ် ခြင်းနှင့် မိုက်မဲ ခြင်းတရားတို့ကို၎င်းဆင်ခြင် ၏။ ရှင်ဘုရင် နောက် မှာ ဖြစ် သောသူ သည် အဘယ် သို့ပြုနိုင်သနည်း။ ပြုဘူး သည်အတိုင်း သာ ပြု နိုင်၏။
13 Then I saw that wisdom excelleth folly, as far as light excelleth darkness.
၁၃သို့ရာတွင် ၊ အလင်း သည် မှောင်မိုက် ထက် မြတ် သကဲ့သို့ ၊ ပညာ သည် မိုက်မဲ ခြင်းထက် မြတ် သည် ကို ငါ သိမြင် ၏။
14 The wise man, his eyes are in his head; but the fool walketh in darkness. And I also perceived that one event happeneth to them all.
၁၄ပညာရှိ သောသူ၏ မျက်စိ တို့သည် သူ ၏ ဦးခေါင်း ၌ ရှိ၏။ မိုက် သောသူမူကား ၊ မှောင်မိုက် ၌ ကျင်လည် တတ်၏။ သို့သော်လည်း ထိုသူ အပေါင်း တို့သည် တခု တည်းသောအမှု နှင့် တွေ့ကြုံတတ်သည် ကို ငါရိပ်မိ ၏။
15 Then said I in my heart: 'As it happeneth to the fool, so will it happen even to me; and why was I then more wise?' Then I said in my heart, that this also is vanity.
၁၅သို့ဖြစ်၍ ၊ မိုက် သောသူတွေ့ကြုံ သကဲ့သို့ ၊ ငါ သည် တွေ့ကြုံ လျှင် ၊ အဘယ် ကြောင့်သူ့ထက်သာ၍ပညာရှိ သနည်းဟူ၍၎င်း၊ ဤ အမှုအရာသည်လည်း အနတ္တ ဖြစ်သည်ဟူ၎င်း ငါ အောက်မေ့ ၏။
16 For of the wise man, even as of the fool, there is no remembrance for ever; seeing that in the days to come all will long ago have been forgotten. And how must the wise man die even as the fool!
၁၆ယခု ဖြစ်သမျှသော အမှုအရာတို့ကို နောင် ကာလ ၌ မေ့လျော့လိမ့်မည်ဖြစ်၍၊ မိုက် သောသူသည် အစဉ် မ အောက်မေ့သကဲ့သို့၊ ပညာရှိ သောသူကိုလည်း အစဉ်မ အောက်မေ့ တတ်။ ပညာရှိ သောသူသည် မိုက် သောသူ သေသကဲ့သို့ သေ တတ်ပါသည်တကား။
17 So I hated life; because the work that is wrought under the sun was grievous unto me; for all is vanity and a striving after wind.
၁၇ထိုကြောင့် ၊ အသက်ရှင် ခြင်းကို ငါငြီးငွေ့ ၏။ နေ အောက် မှာ ပြု သော အမှု သည် ငါ ၌ ခက်ခဲ ၏။ အလုံးစုံ တို့သည် အနတ္တ အမှု၊ လေ ကိုကျက်စား သောအမှု ဖြစ်ကြ ၏။
18 And I hated all my labour wherein I laboured under the sun, seeing that I must leave it unto the man that shall be after me.
၁၈ထိုမှတပါး ၊ ငါ သည်နေ အောက် မှာ ကြိုးစား အားထုတ်သော အမှုအလုံးစုံ တို့ကို ငါငြီးငွေ့ ရသောအကြောင်း ဟူမူကား၊ ထို အမှုကိုငါ့ နောက် မှဖြစ် လတံ့သောသူ အဘို့ ငါချန်ထား ရမည်။
19 And who knoweth whether he will be a wise man or a fool? yet will he have rule over all my labour wherein I have laboured, and wherein I have shown myself wise under the sun. This also is vanity.
၁၉ထိုသူသည် ပညာရှိ မည်လော ၊ မိုက် မည်လောဟု အဘယ်သူ ပြော နိုင်သနည်း။ ထိုသူ သည် ငါကြိုးစား အားထုတ်သမျှ၊ နေ အောက် မှာငါ့ပညာ ကို ထင်ရှားပြလေ သမျှ သော အမှု တို့ကို အစိုးရ လိမ့်မည်။ ထို အမှုအရာသည် လည်း အနတ္တ ဖြစ် ၏။
20 Therefore I turned about to cause my heart to despair concerning all the labour wherein I had laboured under the sun.
၂၀ထိုကြောင့် နေ အောက် မှာ ငါကြိုးစား အားထုတ်သမျှ တို့၌ မြော်လင့် စရာမရှိ။ စိတ်ပျက်အောင်တဖန် ငါ ကြံစည် ၏။
21 For there is a man whose labour is with wisdom, and with knowledge, and with skill; yet to a man that hath not laboured therein shall he leave it for his portion. This also is vanity and a great evil.
၂၁အကြောင်း မူကား၊ ပညာရှိ လျက် သိပ္ပံ အတတ် နှင့် ပြည့်စုံလျက် ၊ အမှု အောင်လျက် ကြိုးစား အားထုတ်သော သူ ဖြစ် သော်လည်း ၊ မ ကြိုးစား ၊ အားမထုတ်သောသူ ဝင်စရာဘို့ ထိုအမှုကိုစွန့် ထားရမည်။ ထို အမှုအရာသည် လည်း အနတ္တ အမှု၊ အလွန် ဆိုး သောအမှုဖြစ်၏။
22 For what hath a man of all his labour, and of the striving of his heart, wherein he laboureth under the sun?
၂၂လူ သည်နေ အောက် မှာ ကြိုးစား အားထုတ်သော အမှု အလွန်စိတ် စွဲလမ်း သောအမှု၊ အလုံးစုံ တို့၌ အဘယ် အကျိုးရှိ သနည်း။
23 For all his days are pains, and his occupation vexation; yea, even in the night his heart taketh not rest. This also is vanity.
၂၃သူ ၏နေ့ရက် အပေါင်း တို့သည် ဝမ်းနည်း ခြင်း၊ သူ ၏အလုပ် အကိုင်လည်း ငြိုငြင် ခြင်းဖြစ်၏။ ညဉ့် အခါ၌ ပင် သူ ၏စိတ် နှလုံးမ ငြိမ် ရ။ ထို အမှုအရာသည်လည်း အနတ္တ ဖြစ်၏။
24 There is nothing better for a man than that he should eat and drink, and make his soul enjoy pleasure for his labour. This also I saw, that it is from the hand of God.
၂၄စား သောက် ခြင်းငှါ ၎င်း၊ ကြိုးစား အားထုတ်ရာ၌ စိတ် နှလုံးပျော်မွေ့ ခြင်းငှါ၎င်း၊ လူ ၌ ကောင်း သောအခွင့် မ ရှိ။ ဘုရား သခင်၏ကျေးဇူးတော် ကြောင့် သာ ၊ ထိုသို့ သော အခွင့်ကို ရနိုင်သည်ဟု ငါသိမြင် ၏။
25 For who will eat, or who will enjoy, if not I?
၂၅ဘုရား သခင်၏ အခွင့် မရှိဘဲ အဘယ်သူ စား ရ သနည်း။ အဘယ်သူ ခံစား ရသနည်း။
26 For to the man that is good in His sight He giveth wisdom, and knowledge, and joy; but to the sinner He giveth the task, to gather and to heap up, that he may leave to him that is good in the sight of God. This also is vanity and a striving after wind.
၂၆ရှေ့ တော်၌ ကောင်း သောသူ အား ဉာဏ် ပညာ၊ သိပ္ပံ အတတ်နှင့် ဝမ်းမြောက် ခြင်းအခွင့်ကိုပေး တော်မူ၏။ အပြစ် ရှိသောသူအား ပင်ပန်းစွာ အလုပ်လုပ်ရသောအခွင့်ကို၎င်း၊ ဘုရား သခင်၏ရှေ့ တော်၌ ကောင်း သောသူအား ပေး စရာဘို့ ၊ ဆည်ဖူး သိုထား ရသောအခွင့် ကို၎င်း ပေး တော်မူ၏။ ထို အမှုအရာသည်လည်း အနတ္တ အမှု၊ လေ ကိုကျက်စား သော အမှုဖြစ်၏။
