Deuteronomy 30
1 And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt bethink thyself among all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee,
Ocurrirá que, cuando hayan caído sobre ti todas estas cosas, la bendición y la maldición, que he puesto delante de ti, y las recuerdes entre todas las naciones a las que Yahvé vuestro Dios te ha expulsado,
2 and shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and hearken to His voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thy heart, and with all thy soul;
y vuelvas a Yahvé vuestro Dios y obedezcas su voz según todo lo que hoy te ordeno, tú y tus hijos, con todo tu corazón y con toda tu alma,
3 that then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the peoples, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee.
que entonces Yahvé vuestro Dios te liberará del cautiverio, tendrá compasión de ti, y volverá y te reunirá de todos los pueblos donde Yahvé vuestro Dios te ha dispersado.
4 If any of thine that are dispersed be in the uttermost parts of heaven, from thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will He fetch thee.
Si tus desterrados están en los confines de los cielos, de allí te reunirá Yahvé vuestro Dios, y de allí te hará volver.
5 And the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and He will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.
El Señor, tu Dios, te llevará a la tierra que poseyeron tus padres, y la poseerás. Te hará un bien y aumentará tu número más que el de tus padres.
6 And the LORD thy God will circumcise thy heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.
El Señor, tu Dios, circuncidará tu corazón y el de tu descendencia, para que ames al Señor, tu Dios, con todo tu corazón y con toda tu alma, para que vivas.
7 And the LORD thy God will put all these curses upon thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, that persecuted thee.
Yahvé vuestro Dios pondrá todas estas maldiciones sobre tus enemigos y sobre los que te odian, que te persiguen.
8 And thou shalt return and hearken to the voice of the LORD, and do all His commandments which I command thee this day.
Volverás y obedecerás la voz de Yahvé, y pondrás en práctica todos sus mandatos que hoy te ordeno.
9 And the LORD thy God will make thee over-abundant in all the work of thy hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good; for the LORD will again rejoice over thee for good, as He rejoiced over thy fathers;
Yahvé vuestro Dios te hará prosperar en toda la obra de tu mano, en el fruto de tu cuerpo, en el fruto de tu ganado y en el fruto de tu tierra, para bien; porque Yahvé volverá a alegrarse de ti para bien, como se alegró de tus padres,
10 if thou shalt hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which are written in this book of the law; if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul.
si obedeces la voz de Yahvé vuestro Dios, para guardar sus mandamientos y sus estatutos que están escritos en este libro de la ley, si te vuelves a Yahvé vuestro Dios con todo tu corazón y con toda tu alma.
11 For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not too hard for thee, neither is it far off.
Porque este mandamiento que hoy os ordeno no es demasiado duro para vosotros ni demasiado lejano.
12 It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say: 'Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, and make us to hear it, that we may do it?'
No está en el cielo, para que digáis: “¿Quién subirá por nosotros al cielo, nos lo traerá y nos lo proclamará para que lo cumplamos?”
13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say: 'Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, and make us to hear it, that we may do it?'
Tampoco está más allá del mar, para que digáis: “¿Quién irá por nosotros al mar, nos lo traerá y nos lo anunciará para que lo hagamos?”
14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.
Pero la palabra está muy cerca de ti, en tu boca y en tu corazón, para que la cumplas.
15 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil,
He aquí que hoy he puesto ante vosotros la vida y la prosperidad, y la muerte y el mal.
16 in that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His ordinances; then thou shalt live and multiply, and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest in to possess it.
Porque hoy te ordeno que ames a Yahvé, tu Dios, que sigas sus caminos y guardes sus mandamientos, sus estatutos y sus ordenanzas, para que vivas y te multipliques, y para que Yahvé, tu Dios, te bendiga en la tierra a la que entras a poseer.
17 But if thy heart turn away, and thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;
Pero si vuestro corazón se aparta y no queréis escuchar, sino que os dejáis arrastrar y adoráis a otros dioses y les servís,
18 I declare unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish; ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over the Jordan to go in to possess it.
Yo os declaro hoy que pereceréis. No prolongaréis vuestros días en la tierra donde paséis el Jordán para entrar a poseerla.
19 I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that I have set before thee life and death, the blessing and the curse; therefore choose life, that thou mayest live, thou and thy seed;
Llamo a los cielos y a la tierra para que sean testigos hoy de que he puesto ante ustedes la vida y la muerte, la bendición y la maldición. Elige, pues, la vida, para que vivas tú y tu descendencia,
20 to love the LORD thy God, to hearken to His voice, and to cleave unto Him; for that is thy life, and the length of thy days; that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD swore unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.
para amar a Yahvé vuestro Dios, para obedecer su voz y para aferrarte a él; porque él es tu vida y la duración de tus días, para que habites en la tierra que Yahvé juró a tus padres, a Abraham, a Isaac y a Jacob, que les daría.
