Deuteronomy 15
1 At the end of every seven years thou shalt make a release.
Ao final de cada sete anos, você deverá cancelar as dívidas.
2 And this is the manner of the release: every creditor shall release that which he hath lent unto his neighbour; he shall not exact it of his neighbour and his brother; because the LORD'S release hath been proclaimed.
É assim que será feito: todo credor deverá liberar o que emprestou a seu próximo. Ele não exigirá pagamento de seu vizinho e de seu irmão, pois a libertação de Javé foi proclamada.
3 Of a foreigner thou mayest exact it; but whatsoever of thine is with thy brother thy hand shall release.
De um estrangeiro você pode exigi-lo; mas o que quer que seja seu com seu irmão, sua mão deverá liberar.
4 Howbeit there shall be no needy among you — for the LORD will surely bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it —
No entanto, não haverá pobres com você (pois Yahweh certamente o abençoará na terra que Yahweh seu Deus lhe dá para que possua uma herança)
5 if only thou diligently hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all this commandment which I command thee this day.
se apenas você escutar diligentemente a voz de Yahweh seu Deus, para observar fazer todo este mandamento que eu lhe ordeno hoje.
6 For the LORD thy God will bless thee, as He promised thee; and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt rule over many nations, but they shall not rule over thee.
Pois Yahweh vosso Deus vos abençoará, como Ele vos prometeu. Você emprestará a muitas nações, mas não tomará emprestado. Vós governareis sobre muitas nações, mas elas não governarão sobre vós.
7 If there be among you a needy man, one of thy brethren, within any of thy gates, in thy land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thy heart, nor shut thy hand from thy needy brother;
Se um pobre homem, um de seus irmãos, estiver com você dentro de qualquer de suas portas em sua terra que Javé seu Deus lhe der, você não endurecerá seu coração, nem fechará sua mão de seu pobre irmão;
8 but thou shalt surely open thy hand unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need in that which he wanteth.
mas você certamente abrirá sua mão para ele, e certamente o emprestará o suficiente para sua necessidade, que lhe falta.
9 Beware that there be not a base thought in thy heart, saying: 'The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand'; and thine eye be evil against thy needy brother, and thou give him nought; and he cry unto the LORD against thee, and it be sin in thee.
Cuidado para que não haja um pensamento maligno em teu coração, dizendo: “O sétimo ano, o ano da libertação, está próximo”, e teu olho seja maligno contra teu pobre irmão e tu não lhe dês nada; e ele chore a Javé contra ti, e seja pecado para ti.
10 Thou shalt surely give him, and thy heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him; because that for this thing the LORD thy God will bless thee in all thy work, and in all that thou puttest thy hand unto.
Você certamente dará, e seu coração não ficará triste quando lhe der, porque é por isso que Javé, seu Deus, o abençoará em todo o seu trabalho e em tudo em que você colocar sua mão.
11 For the poor shall never cease out of the land; therefore I command thee, saying: 'Thou shalt surely open thy hand unto thy poor and needy brother, in thy land.'
Pois os pobres nunca deixarão de sair da terra. Portanto, ordeno-lhe que certamente abra sua mão para seu irmão, para seu necessitado e para seus pobres, em sua terra.
12 If thy brother, a Hebrew man, or a Hebrew woman, be sold unto thee, he shall serve thee six years; and in the seventh year thou shalt let him go free from thee.
Se seu irmão, um homem hebreu, ou uma mulher hebraica, for vendido a você e lhe servir seis anos, então no sétimo ano você o deixará ir livre de você.
13 And when thou lettest him go free from thee, thou shalt not let him go empty;
Quando você o deixar ir livre de você, você não o deixará ir vazio.
14 thou shalt furnish him liberally out of thy flock, and out of thy threshing-floor, and out of thy winepress; of that wherewith the LORD thy God hath blessed thee thou shalt give unto him.
Você o mobilará liberalmente de seu rebanho, de sua eira e de seu lagar de vinho. Como Javé, vosso Deus, vos abençoou, vós lhe dareis.
15 And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt, and the LORD thy God redeemed thee; therefore I command thee this thing to-day.
Recordarás que foste escravo na terra do Egito, e Javé, teu Deus, te redimiu. Portanto, ordeno-te isto hoje.
16 And it shall be, if he say unto thee: 'I will not go out from thee'; because he loveth thee and thy house, because he fareth well with thee;
Será, se Ele te disser: “Não sairei de ti”, porque Ele te ama e a tua casa, porque Ele está bem contigo,
17 then thou shalt take an awl, and thrust it through his ear and into the door, and he shall be thy bondman for ever. And also unto thy bondwoman thou shalt do likewise.
então tu pegarás um furador, e o empurrarás pelo ouvido dele até a porta, e Ele será teu servo para sempre. Também à tua serva, tu farás o mesmo.
18 It shall not seem hard unto thee, when thou lettest him go free from thee; for to the double of the hire of a hireling hath he served thee six years; and the LORD thy God will bless thee in all that thou doest.
Não te parecerá difícil quando o deixares ir livre de ti, pois ele tem sido o dobro do valor de uma mão contratada, pois ele te serviu seis anos. Yahweh teu Deus te abençoará em tudo o que fizeres.
19 All the firstling males that are born of thy herd and of thy flock thou shalt sanctify unto the LORD thy God; thou shalt do no work with the firstling of thine ox, nor shear the firstling of thy flock.
Você dedicará a Javé seu Deus todos os machos primogênitos que nasceram de seu rebanho e de seu rebanho. Você não fará nenhum trabalho com os primogênitos de seu rebanho, nem tosquiará os primogênitos de seu rebanho.
20 Thou shalt eat it before the LORD thy God year by year in the place which the LORD shall choose, thou and thy household.
Você o comerá antes de Yahweh seu Deus ano após ano no lugar que Yahweh escolher, você e sua família.
21 And if there be any blemish therein, lameness, or blindness, any ill blemish whatsoever, thou shalt not sacrifice it unto the LORD thy God.
Se tiver algum defeito - é coxo ou cego, ou tem algum defeito qualquer, você não o sacrificará a Javé seu Deus.
22 Thou shalt eat it within thy gates; the unclean and the clean may eat it alike, as the gazelle, and as the hart.
Você deve comê-lo dentro de seus portões. O impuro e o limpo o comerão da mesma forma, como a gazela e como o cervo.
23 Only thou shalt not eat the blood thereof; thou shalt pour it out upon the ground as water.
Somente você não deve comer seu sangue. Você o derramará no chão como água.
