Daniel 9
1 In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, who was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans;
En el año primero de Darío, hijo de Asuero, de la nación de los Medos, el cual fue puesto por rey sobre el reino de los Caldeos:
2 in the first year of his reign I Daniel meditated in the books, over the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that He would accomplish for the desolations of Jerusalem seventy years.
En el año primero de su reino, yo Daniel miré atentamente en los libros el número de los años del cual habló Jehová al profeta Jeremías, que había de fenecer la asolación de Jerusalem en setenta años.
3 And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes.
Y volví mi rostro al Señor Dios, buscándole en oración, y ruego, en ayuno, y cilicio, y ceniza.
4 And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made confession, and said: 'O Lord, the great and awful God, who keepest covenant and mercy with them that love Thee and keep Thy commandments,
Y oré a Jehová mi Dios, y confesé, y dije: Ahora, Señor, Dios grande, digno de ser temido, que guardas el concierto y la misericordia con los que te aman, y guardan tus mandamientos.
5 we have sinned, and have dealt iniquitously, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, and have turned aside from Thy commandments and from Thine ordinances;
Hemos pecado, hemos hecho iniquidad, hemos hecho impíamente, y hemos sido rebeldes, y nos hemos apartado de tus mandamientos, y de tus juicios.
6 neither have we hearkened unto Thy servants the prophets, that spoke in Thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
No hemos obedecido a tus siervos los profetas que en tu nombre hablaron a nuestros reyes, y a nuestros príncipes, a nuestros padres, y a todo el pueblo de la tierra.
7 Unto Thee, O Lord, belongeth righteousness, but unto us confusion of face, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither Thou hast driven them, because they dealt treacherously with Thee.
Tuya es, Señor, la justicia, y nuestra la confusión de rostro, como el día de hoy es a todo hombre de Judá, y a los moradores de Jerusalem, y a todo Israel, a los de cerca, y a los de lejos, en todas las tierras donde los has echado, a causa de su rebelión con que rebelaron contra ti.
8 O LORD, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against Thee.
O! Jehová, nuestra es la confusión de rostro: de nuestros reyes, de nuestros príncipes, y de nuestros padres, porque pecamos a ti.
9 To the Lord our God belong compassions and forgivenesses; for we have rebelled against Him;
De Jehová nuestro Dios es el tener misericordia, y el perdonar, aunque nosotros nos rebelamos contra él.
10 neither have we hearkened to the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in His laws, which He set before us by His servants the prophets.
Y no obedecimos a la voz de Jehová nuestro Dios para andar por sus leyes, las cuales él dio delante de nosotros por mano de sus siervos los profetas.
11 Yea, all Israel have transgressed Thy law, and have turned aside, so as not to hearken to Thy voice; and so there hath been poured out upon us the curse and the oath that is written in the Law of Moses the servant of God; for we have sinned against Him.
Y todo Israel traspasó tu ley, apartándose por no oír tu voz: por lo cual la maldición y la jura que está escrita en la ley de Moisés, siervo de Dios, ha destilado sobre nosotros, porque pecamos contra él.
12 And He hath confirmed His word, which He spoke against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil; so that under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem.
Y él afirmó su palabra que habló sobre nosotros, y sobre nuestros jueces, que nos gobernaron, trayendo sobre nosotros tan grande mal: que nunca fue hecho debajo del cielo, cual el que fue hecho en Jerusalem.
13 As it is written in the Law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us; yet have we not entreated the favour of the LORD our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and have discernment in Thy truth.
Como está escrito en la ley de Moisés, todo aquel mal vino sobre nosotros: y nunca rogamos a la faz de Jehová nuestro Dios, para convertirnos de nuestras maldades, y entender tu verdad.
14 And so the LORD hath watched over the evil, and brought it upon us; for the LORD our God is righteous in all His works which He hath done, and we have not hearkened to His voice.
Y apresuróse Jehová sobre el castigo, y trájolo sobre nosotros; porque es justo Jehová nuestro Dios en todas sus obras que hizo, porque no obedecimos a su voz.
15 And now, O Lord our God, that hast brought Thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast gotten Thee renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly.
Ahora pues Señor Dios nuestro, que sacaste tu pueblo de la tierra de Egipto con mano poderosa, y ganaste para ti nombre como este día, pecamos, impíamente hemos hecho.
16 O Lord, according to all Thy righteousness, let Thine anger and Thy fury, I pray Thee, be turned away from Thy city Jerusalem, Thy holy mountain; because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and Thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us.
O! Señor, según todas tus justicias, apártese ahora tu ira y tu furor de sobre tu ciudad Jerusalem, tu santo monte; porque a causa de nuestros pecados, y por la maldad de nuestros padres, Jerusalem y tu pueblo es dado en vergüenza a todos nuestros al derredores.
17 Now therefore, O our God, hearken unto the prayer of Thy servant, and to his supplications, and cause Thy face to shine upon Thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord's sake.
Ahora pues Dios nuestro, oye la oración de tu siervo, y sus ruegos; y haz que tu rostro resplandezca sobre tu santuario asolado, por el Señor.
18 O my God, incline Thine ear, and hear; open Thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city upon which Thy name is called; for we do not present our supplications before Thee because of our righteousness, but because of Thy great compassions.
Inclina, o! Dios mío, tu oído, y oye: abre tus ojos, y mira nuestros asolamientos, y la ciudad, sobre la cual es llamado tu nombre; porque no confiados en nuestras justicias derramamos nuestros ruegos delante de tu presencia, mas en tus muchas misericordias.
19 O Lord, hear, O Lord, forgive, O Lord, attend and do, defer not; for Thine own sake, O my God, because Thy name is called upon Thy city and Thy people.'
Oye, Señor: Perdona, Señor: Está atento, Señor, y haz: no pongas dilación por ti mismo, Dios mío; porque tu nombre es llamado sobre tu ciudad, y sobre tu pueblo.
20 And while I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God;
Aun estaba hablando, y orando, y confesaba mi pecado, y el pecado de mi pueblo Israel, y derramaba mi ruego delante de Jehová mi Dios, por el monte santo de mi Dios:
21 yea, while I was speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, approached close to me about the time of the evening offering.
Aun estaba hablando en oración, y aquel varón Gabriel, al cual había visto en visión al principio, volando con vuelo me tocó, como a la hora del sacrificio de la tarde.
22 And he made me to understand, and talked with me, and said: 'O Daniel, I am now come forth to make thee skilful of understanding.
E hízome entender, y habló conmigo, y dijo: Daniel, ahora he salido, para hacerte entender la declaración.
23 At the beginning of thy supplications a word went forth, and I am come to declare it; for thou art greatly beloved; therefore look into the word, and understand the vision.
Al principio de tus ruegos salió la palabra, y yo he venido para enseñártela, porque tú eres varón de deseos. Entiende pues la palabra, y entiende la visión.
24 Seventy weeks are decreed upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sin, and to forgive iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal vision and prophet, and to anoint the most holy place.
Setenta semanas están determinadas sobre tu pueblo, y sobre tu santa ciudad, para fenecer la prevaricación, y concluir el pecado, y expiar la iniquidad, y para traer la justicia de los siglos, y para sellar la visión y la profecía, y ungir la santidad de santidades.
25 Know therefore and discern, that from the going forth of the word to restore and to build Jerusalem unto one anointed, a prince, shall be seven weeks; and for threescore and two weeks, it shall be built again, with broad place and moat, but in troublous times.
Sepas pues, y entiendas, que desde la salida de la palabra para hacer volver el pueblo, y edificar a Jerusalem, hasta el Mesías Príncipe habrá siete semanas, sesenta y dos semanas; entre tanto se tornará a edificar la plaza, y el muro en tiempos angustiosos.
26 And after the threescore and two weeks shall an anointed one be cut off, and be no more; and the people of a prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; but his end shall be with a flood; and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
Y después de las sesenta y dos semanas el Mesías será muerto, y no por sí; y el pueblo príncipe viniendo destruirá la ciudad, y el santuario, cuyo fin será como con avenida de aguas: hasta que al fin de la guerra sea talada con asolamiento.
27 And he shall make a firm covenant with many for one week; and for half of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease; and upon the wing of detestable things shall be that which causeth appalment; and that until the extermination wholly determined be poured out upon that which causeth appalment.'
Y en otra semana confirmará el concierto a muchos: a la mitad de la semana hará cesar el sacrificio, y el presente; y a causa del ala de las abominaciones vendrá asolamiento, hasta que perfecto acabamiento se derrame sobre el pueblo asolado.
