Daniel 10
1 In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a word was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the word was true, even a great warfare; and he gave heed to the word, and had understanding of the vision.
Năm thứ ba triều Vua Si-ru, nước Ba Tư, Đa-ni-ên (tức là Bên-tơ-sát-xa) thấy một khải tượng về cuộc đại chiến với những chi tiết thật chính xác và Đa-ni-ên hiểu được ý nghĩa của khải tượng.
2 In those days I Daniel was mourning three whole weeks.
Lúc ấy, tôi đang dành ba tuần lễ nhịn ăn, nhịn uống để khóc than.
3 I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.
Tôi cũng chẳng thiết gì đến việc xức dầu thơm hằng ngày trong suốt thời gian ấy.
4 And in the four and twentieth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, which is Tigris,
Ngày hai mươi bốn tháng giêng, tôi đang đứng quan sát bên bờ sông lớn Ti-gơ,
5 I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz;
bỗng thấy một Người mặc áo vải gai mịn thắt lưng đai vàng ròng,
6 his body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as torches of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to burnished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.
toàn thân sáng như bích ngọc, mặt chói rực như chớp nhoáng, mắt như đèn pha, tay chân như đồng đánh bóng và tiếng nói vang ầm như tiếng thét của đám đông.
7 And I Daniel alone saw the vision; for the men that were with me saw not the vision; howbeit a great trembling fell upon them, and they fled to hide themselves.
Chỉ một mình tôi thấy khải tượng này. Các người phụ tá tôi tuy không thấy khải tượng nhưng đều cảm giác một điều gì đáng sợ đến nỗi họ run rẩy, bỏ chạy đi tìm chỗ ẩn nấp.
8 So that I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me; for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength.
Tôi ở lại một mình, chứng kiến từ đầu đến cuối những diễn biến của khải tượng lớn này cho đến lúc kiệt sức và da mặt tái mét.
9 Yet heard I the voice of his words; and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I fallen into a deep sleep on my face, with my face toward the ground.
Tuy nhiên, tôi vẫn nghe tiếng Đấng ấy truyền bảo. Vừa nghe tiếng nói ấy, tôi ngã sấp mặt xuống đất.
10 And, behold, a hand touched me, which set me tottering upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands.
Bỗng, có bàn tay ai nắm tôi, đỡ tôi lên. Tôi run lẩy bẩy, đầu gối vẫn quỳ và hai tay chống trên đất.
11 And he said unto me: 'O Daniel, thou man greatly beloved, give heed unto the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright; for now am I sent unto thee'; and when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.
Người bảo tôi: “Anh Đa-ni-ên, người được Đức Chúa Trời yêu quý! Anh hãy cố hiểu những lời tôi nói và đứng thẳng lên. Vì tôi được Chúa sai đến thăm anh.” Vừa nghe tiếng nói ấy, tôi đứng thẳng lên nhưng vẫn còn run.
12 Then said he unto me: 'Fear not, Daniel; for from the first day that thou didst set thy heart to understand, and to humble thyself before thy God, thy words were heard; and I am come because of thy words.
Người tiếp: “Đa-ni-ên ơi, đừng sợ! Vì từ ngày anh chuyên tâm tìm hiểu và hạ mình trước mặt Đức Chúa Trời, lời cầu nguyện của anh đã được nhậm. Tôi được Chúa sai đến để trả lời về lời cầu nguyện đó.
13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days; but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I was left over there beside the kings of Persia.
Nhưng ác thần đang trị nước Ba Tư đã chặn đường tôi mất hai mươi mốt ngày. Tuy nhiên, Mi-ca-ên, là một thủ lãnh thiên binh, đến yểm trợ tôi nên tôi đã chiến thắng ác thần của Ba Tư
14 Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the end of days; for there is yet a vision for the days.'
Tôi xuống đây để giúp anh hiểu những diễn biến trong giai đoạn cuối cùng của dân tộc anh, vì khải tượng này còn lâu năm mới hiện thực.”
15 And when he had spoken unto me according to these words, I set my face toward the ground, and was dumb.
Nghe những lời ấy, tôi cúi mặt xuống và câm nín.
16 And, behold, one like the similitude of the sons of men touched my lips; then I opened my mouth, and spoke and said unto him that stood before me: 'O my lord, by reason of the vision my pains are come upon me, and I retain no strength.
Nhưng có ai giống như con người đưa tay sờ môi tôi nên tôi nói được. Tôi thưa với vị từ trời: “Thưa chúa, khi con thấy khải tượng, lòng con quặn thắt và kiệt sức.
17 For how can this servant of my lord talk with this my lord? for as for me, straightway there remained no strength in me, neither was there breath left in me.'
Con không thể nào thưa thốt gì với ngài vì con hoàn toàn kiệt lực, thậm chí hơi thở thoi thóp cũng muốn tắt luôn!”
18 Then there touched me again one like the appearance of a man, and he strengthened me.
Đấng giống như con người lại chạm đến người tôi, truyền cho tôi sức mạnh,
19 And he said: 'O man greatly beloved, fear not! peace be unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong.' And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said: 'Let my lord speak; for thou hast strengthened me.'
và bảo tôi: “Con là người Đức Chúa Trời yêu quý vô cùng! Đừng sợ! Hãy bình tĩnh và kiên cường! Con phải mạnh mẽ lên mới được.” Vừa nghe lời ngài, tôi bỗng đầy sức mạnh. Tôi nói: “Thưa chúa, xin ngài cứ dạy, vì ngài đã truyền sức mạnh cho con.”
20 Then said he: Knowest thou wherefore I come unto thee? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia; and when I go forth, lo, the prince of Greece shall come.
Người ấy giải thích: “Anh biết vì sao tôi đến đây không? Bây giờ, tôi quay lại chiến đấu với ác thần đang cai trị Ba Tư. Khi tôi ra đi, ác thần cai trị Hy Lạp sẽ xuất hiện.
21 Howbeit I will declare unto thee that which is inscribed in the writing of truth; and there is none that holdeth with me against these, except Michael your prince.
Nhưng tôi sẽ cho anh biết các lời ghi trong Kinh Chân Lý. Chẳng ai có can đảm giúp tôi trong các việc này trừ Mi-ca-ên là vua dân Chúa.”
