Amos 8
1 Thus the Lord GOD showed me; and behold a basket of summer fruit.
Xudavənd Rəbb mənə belə bir görüntü göstərdi: budur, bir səbət yay meyvəsi gördüm.
2 And He said: 'Amos, what seest thou?' And I said: 'A basket of summer fruit.' Then said the LORD unto me: The end is come upon My people Israel; I will not again pardon them any more.
O məndən soruşdu: “Amos, sən nə görürsən?” Mən cavab verdim: “Bir səbət yay meyvəsi”. Rəbb mənə dedi: “Xalqım İsrailin axır günü yetişib. Artıq onlardan əl çəkməyəcəyəm.
3 And the songs of the palace shall be wailings in that day, saith the Lord GOD; the dead bodies shall be many; in every place silence shall be cast.
Həmin gün saray nəğmələri fəryada çevriləcək. Meyit meyit üstə düşəcək, hər tərəfə atılacaq. Sonra sükut olacaq”. Xudavənd Rəbb belə bəyan edir.
4 Hear this, O ye that would swallow the needy, and destroy the poor of the land,
Siz, ey möhtacları tapdalayıb əzənlər, ey kasıbların başını yeyənlər, indi buna qulaq asın!
5 Saying: 'When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell grain? and the sabbath, that we may set forth corn? making the ephah small, and the shekel great, and falsifying the balances of deceit;
Deyirsiniz: “Təzə Ay mərasimi nə vaxt sona çatacaq ki, taxılı başqasına sataq? Şənbə günü nə vaxt qurtaracaq ki, buğdanı satışa qoyaq? Qoy ölçünü azaldaq, qiyməti də artıraq, aldadıcı tərəzi quraq.
6 That we may buy the poor for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes, and sell the refuse of the corn?'
Qoy yoxsulları pula, möhtacları bir cüt çarığa satın alaq, buğdanın tör-töküntüsünü də sataq”.
7 The LORD hath sworn by the pride of Jacob: Surely I will never forget any of their works.
Yaqubun fəxri olan Rəbb belə and içmişdir: “Onların bütün işlərini heç vaxt unutmayacağam”.
8 Shall not the land tremble for this, and every one mourn that dwelleth therein? Yea, it shall rise up wholly like the River; and it shall be troubled and sink again, like the River of Egypt.
Bundan ötrü deyilmi ki, yer titrəyəcək, orada yaşayan hər kəs yasa batacaq? Bəli, bütün yer Nil çayı kimi qabaracaq, Misirdəki Nil çayı kimi coşandan sonra çəkiləcək.
9 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord GOD, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day.
Xudavənd Rəbb bəyan edir: “Həmin gün günorta günəşi batıracağam, Yer üzündə gündüzü qaraldacağam.
10 And I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins, and baldness upon every head; and I will make it as the mourning for an only son, and the end thereof as a bitter day.
Bayramlarınızı yasa döndərəcəyəm, Bütün mahnılarınızı mərsiyəyə çevirəcəyəm. Hər kəsin belinə çul büründürəcəyəm, Hər başın saçını qırxdıracağam. Yeganə oğula yas tutulan kimi O günü sona qədər acı edəcəyəm”.
11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD.
Xudavənd Rəbb bəyan edir: “Budur, elə günlər gələcək ki, Ölkəyə qıtlıq göndərəcəyəm. Bu günlərdə çörək və suyun qıtlığı deyil, Rəbbin sözlərinin qıtlığı olacaq.
12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east; they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.
İnsanlar Rəbbin sözünü axtaracaq. Dənizdən-dənizə, Şimaldan şərqə qədər Sürətlə gəzib-dolaşacaqlar, Lakin onu tapmayacaqlar.
13 In that day shall the fair virgins and the young men faint for thirst.
Həmin gün gözəl qızlar, igid oğlanlar Susuzluqdan qəşş edəcəklər.
14 They that swear by the sin of Samaria, and say: 'As thy God, O Dan, liveth'; and: 'As the way of Beer-sheba liveth'; even they shall fall, and never rise up again.
Samariyanın bütlərə and içib ‹Ey Dan, allahının haqqı!›, ‹Beer-Şevaya gedən yol haqqı!› deyən adamlar Yıxılacaq və bir daha qalxmayacaq”.
