2 Samuel 22
1 And David spoke unto the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul;
David pronunció las palabras de este cántico a Yavé el día cuando Yavé lo libró de la mano de Saúl y de todos sus enemigos:
2 and he said: The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;
Yavé es mi Roca, mi Fortaleza, y mi Libertador.
3 The God who is my rock, in Him I take refuge; my shield, and my horn of salvation, my high tower, and my refuge; my saviour, Thou savest me from violence.
ʼElohim es mi Roca, en Quien me refugio, Mi Escudo y el Fuerte de mi salvación, Mi alto Refugio y mi Salvador. De la violencia me libraste.
4 Praised, I cry, is the LORD, and I am saved from mine enemies.
Invoco a Yavé, Quien es digno de ser alabado Y soy salvo de mis enemigos.
5 For the waves of Death compassed me. The floods of Belial assailed me.
Me rodearon ondas de muerte Y torrentes de perversidad me aterraron.
Me ataron las cuerdas del Seol Y me alcanzaron las cuerdas de la muerte. (Sheol h7585)
7 In my distress I called upon the LORD, yea, I called unto my God; and out of His temple He heard my voice, and my cry did enter into His ears.
En mi angustia invoqué a Yavé. Invoqué a mi ʼElohim. Oyó mi voz desde su Templo, Y mi grito de auxilio llegó a sus oídos.
8 Then the earth did shake and quake, the foundations of heaven did tremble; they were shaken, because He was wroth.
La tierra fue conmovida y tembló. Se conmovieron los cimientos del cielo. Se estremecieron porque Él se airó.
9 Smoke arose up in His nostrils, and fire out of His mouth did devour; coals flamed forth from Him.
Humo subió de su nariz Y de su boca salió un fuego abrasador Que encendió brasas.
10 He bowed the heavens also, and came down; and thick darkness was under His feet.
Inclinó los cielos, Y descendió con espesa oscuridad debajo de sus pies.
11 And He rode upon a cherub, and did fly; yea, He was seen upon the wings of the wind.
Cabalgó sobre un querubín y voló. Voló sobre las alas del viento.
12 And He made darkness pavilions round about Him, gathering of waters, thick clouds of the skies.
Puso oscuridad alrededor de Él como escondedero, Oscuridad de aguas y densos nubarrones.
13 At the brightness before Him coals of fire flamed forth.
Con el resplandor de su Presencia se encendieron brasas.
14 The LORD thundered from heaven, and the Most High gave forth His voice.
Yavé tronó desde el cielo, ʼElyón dio su voz.
15 And He sent out arrows, and scattered them; lightning, and discomfited them.
Disparó sus flechas y los dispersó. Lanzó relámpagos, y los destruyó.
16 And the channels of the sea appeared, the foundations of the world were laid bare by the rebuke of the LORD, at the blast of the breath of His nostrils.
Entonces aparecieron los torrentes de las aguas Y quedaron descubiertos los cimientos del mundo a la reprensión de Yavé Por el soplo del aliento de su nariz.
17 He sent from on high, He took me; He drew me out of many waters;
Envió desde lo alto y me tomó. Me sacó de entre las aguas caudalosas.
18 He delivered me from mine enemy most strong, from them that hated me, for they were too mighty for me.
Me libró de un poderoso enemigo, Y de los que me aborrecían, Aunque eran más fuertes que yo.
19 They confronted me in the day of my calamity; but the LORD was a stay unto me.
Me enfrentaron en el día de mi quebranto, Pero Yavé fue mi Apoyo
20 He brought me forth also into a large place; He delivered me, because He delighted in me.
Y me sacó a lugar espacioso. Me libró, porque se agradó de mí.
21 The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath He recompensed me.
Yavé me premió según mi rectitud Y recompensó la pureza de mis manos,
22 For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
Porque guardé los caminos de Yavé Y no me aparté impíamente de mi ʼElohim.
23 For all His ordinances were before me; and as for His statutes, I did not depart from them.
Pues todos sus Preceptos estuvieron delante de mí, Y no me aparté de sus Estatutos.
24 And I was single-hearted toward Him, and I kept myself from mine iniquity.
Fui recto ante Él Y me guardé de mi maldad.
25 Therefore hath the LORD recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to my cleanness in His eyes.
Yavé me recompensó según mi rectitud Según la pureza de mis manos ante Él.
26 With the merciful Thou dost show Thyself merciful, with the upright man Thou dost show Thyself upright,
Con el misericordioso te muestras misericordioso, Y recto con el hombre íntegro.
27 With the pure Thou dost show myself pure; and with the crooked Thou dost show Thyself subtle.
Limpio te muestras con el limpio, Y sagaz con el perverso.
28 And the afflicted people Thou dost save; but Thine eyes are upon the haughty, that Thou mayest humble them.
Tú salvas al pueblo afligido, Pero tus ojos están sobre los altivos para humillarlos.
29 For Thou art my lamp, O LORD; and the LORD doth lighten my darkness.
¡Tú eres mi Lámpara, oh Yavé! ¡Oh Yavé, Tú alumbras mi oscuridad!
30 For by Thee I run upon a troop; by my God do I scale a wall.
Porque contigo puedo asaltar un ejército. Con mi ʼElohim puedo saltar sobre un muro.
31 As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried; He is a shield unto all them that take refuge in Him.
En cuanto a ʼEL, perfecto es su camino, Y acrisolada es la Palabra de Yavé. ʼEL es Escudo a todos los que se refugian en Él.
32 For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a Rock, save our God?
Porque ¿quién es ʼEL, excepto Yavé? ¿Y cuál roca hay además de nuestro ʼElohim?
33 The God who is my strong fortress, and who letteth my way go forth straight;
ʼEL es el que me ciñe de vigor Y perfecciona mi camino.
34 Who maketh my feet like hinds', and setteth me upon my high places;
ʼEL hace que mis pies sean como los de venados Y me establece en mis alturas.
35 Who traineth my hands for war, so that mine arms do bend a bow of brass.
El que adiestra mis manos para la batalla Y mis brazos para tensar el arco de bronce.
36 Thou hast also given me Thy shield of salvation; and Thy condescension hath made me great.
Me diste también el escudo de tu salvación Y me engrandeció tu benignidad.
37 Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, and my feet have not slipped.
Ensanchas mis pasos debajo de mí, Y no resbalan mis pies.
38 I have pursued mine enemies, and destroyed them; neither did I turn back till they were consumed.
Perseguí a mis enemigos y los destruí, Y no regresé hasta que fueron acabados.
39 And I have consumed them, and smitten them through, that they cannot arise; yea, they are fallen under my feet.
Los destruí, los destrocé para que no se levanten. Cayeron bajo mis pies.
40 For Thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle; Thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.
Pues Tú me dotaste de fuerza para la batalla. Doblegaste a mis enemigos debajo de mí.
41 Thou hast also made mine enemies turn their backs unto me; yea, them that hate me, that I might cut them off.
También hiciste que mis enemigos me volvieran la espalda, Para que yo destruya a los que me aborrecen.
42 They looked, but there was none to save; even unto the LORD, but He answered them not.
Clamaron, y no hubo quien salvara. Aun [clamaron] a Yavé, pero no los escuchó.
43 Then did I beat them small as the dust of the earth, I did stamp them as the mire of the streets, and did tread them down.
Los molí como polvo de la tierra. Los pisé y los trituré como el lodo de las calles.
44 Thou also hast delivered me from the contentions of my people; Thou hast kept me to be the head of the nations; a people whom I have not known serve me.
Tú me libraste de las contiendas de mi pueblo. Me guardaste para ser jefe de naciones. Pueblo que yo no conocía me sirvió.
45 The sons of the stranger dwindle away before me; as soon as they hear of me, they obey me.
Los hijos de extranjeros se someten a mí. Al oír de mí, me obedecen.
46 The sons of the stranger fade away, and come halting out of their close places.
Los extranjeros se debilitan Y salen temblorosos de sus encierros.
47 The LORD liveth, and blessed be my Rock; and exalted be the God, my Rock of salvation;
¡Viva Yavé! ¡Bendita sea mi Roca! ¡Engrandecido sea ʼElohim, la Roca de mi salvación!
48 Even the God that executeth vengeance for me, and bringeth down peoples under me,
El ʼEL que ejecuta venganza por mí, Y somete pueblos a mí.
49 And that bringeth me forth from mine enemies; yea, Thou liftest me up above them that rise up against me; Thou deliverest me from the violent man.
El que también me saca de entre los enemigos, Y aun me exalta por encima de los que se levantan contra mí.
50 Therefore I will give thanks unto Thee, O LORD, among the nations, and will sing praises unto Thy name.
Por tanto yo te alabaré, oh Yavé, entre las naciones. Cantaré alabanzas a tu Nombre.
51 A tower of salvation is He to His king; and showeth mercy to His anointed, to David and to his seed, for evermore.
Él engrandece las victorias de su rey, Y muestra misericordia a su ungido: A David y a sus descendientes para siempre.
