2 Samuel 22
1 And David spoke unto the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul;
૧દાઉદને ઈશ્વરે તેના સર્વ શત્રુઓના તથા શાઉલના હાથથી છોડાવ્યો, તે દિવસે દાઉદે ઈશ્વરની આગળ આ ગીત ગાયું:
2 and he said: The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;
૨તેણે કહ્યું, “ઈશ્વર મારો ખડક, મારો કિલ્લો તે મને બચાવનાર છે.
3 The God who is my rock, in Him I take refuge; my shield, and my horn of salvation, my high tower, and my refuge; my saviour, Thou savest me from violence.
૩ઈશ્વર મારા ખડક છે. હું તેમના પર ભરોસો રાખીશ. તેઓ મારી ઢાલ તથા મારા તારણનું શિંગ, મારા ઊંચા બુરજ તથા મારું આશ્રયસ્થાન છે, તે મારા ઉદ્ધારક ત્રાતા છે, તેઓ મને જુલમથી બચાવે છે.
4 Praised, I cry, is the LORD, and I am saved from mine enemies.
૪ઈશ્વર જે સ્તુતિને યોગ્ય છે તેમને હું હાંક મારીશ, તેથી હું મારા શત્રુઓથી બચી જઈશ.
5 For the waves of Death compassed me. The floods of Belial assailed me.
૫કેમ કે મૃત્યુનાં મોજાંઓએ મને ઘેરી લીધો, દુર્જનોના ધસારાએ મને બીવડાવ્યો.
૬શેઓલનાં બંધનોએ મને ઘેરી લીધો, મરણની જાળમાં હું સપડાઈ ગયો. (Sheol h7585)
7 In my distress I called upon the LORD, yea, I called unto my God; and out of His temple He heard my voice, and my cry did enter into His ears.
૭એવી કટોકટીમાં મારા સંકટમાં મેં ઈશ્વરને વિનંતી કરી; મારા પ્રભુને પોકાર કર્યો; તેમણે તેમના સભાસ્થાનમાંથી મારો અવાજ સાંભળ્યો, મારી અરજ તેમને કાને પહોંચી.
8 Then the earth did shake and quake, the foundations of heaven did tremble; they were shaken, because He was wroth.
૮ત્યારે પૃથ્વી હાલી તથા કાંપી. આકાશના પાયા હાલ્યા તથા કાંપ્યા, કારણ કે પ્રભુ ક્રોધિત થયા હતા.
9 Smoke arose up in His nostrils, and fire out of His mouth did devour; coals flamed forth from Him.
૯તેમના નસકારોમાંથી ધુમાડો ચઢયો, અને તેમના મુખમાંથી ભસ્મ કરી નાખનારો અગ્નિ બહાર આવ્યો. તેનાથી અંગારા સળગી ઊઠ્યા.
10 He bowed the heavens also, and came down; and thick darkness was under His feet.
૧૦અને ઈશ્વર આકાશોને નમાવીને નીચે ઊતર્યા, તેમના પગ નીચે ગાઢ અંધકાર વ્યાપેલો હતો.
11 And He rode upon a cherub, and did fly; yea, He was seen upon the wings of the wind.
૧૧પછી તેઓ કરુબ પર સવારી કરીને ઊડ્યા. વાયુની પાંખો પર દેખાયા.
12 And He made darkness pavilions round about Him, gathering of waters, thick clouds of the skies.
૧૨અને તેમણે અંધકારને, પાણીના ઢગલાને, આકાશના ગાઢ વરસાદી વાદળોને પોતાની આસપાસ આચ્છાદન બનાવ્યાં.
13 At the brightness before Him coals of fire flamed forth.
૧૩તેમની સામેના પ્રકાશથી અગ્નિના અંગારા સળગી ઊઠ્યા.
14 The LORD thundered from heaven, and the Most High gave forth His voice.
૧૪આકાશમાંથી ઈશ્વરે ગર્જના કરી. પરાત્પરે અવાજ કર્યો.
15 And He sent out arrows, and scattered them; lightning, and discomfited them.
૧૫તેમણે તીર મારીને તેમના શત્રુઓને વિખેરી નાખ્યા વીજળી મોકલીને તેઓને થથરાવી નાખ્યા.
16 And the channels of the sea appeared, the foundations of the world were laid bare by the rebuke of the LORD, at the blast of the breath of His nostrils.
૧૬ત્યારે ઈશ્વરની ધાકધમકીથી, તેમના નસકોરાના શ્વાસના ઝપાટાથી, સમુદ્રનાં તળિયાં દેખાયાં, જગતના પાયા ઉઘાડા થયા.
17 He sent from on high, He took me; He drew me out of many waters;
૧૭તેમણે ઉપરથી હાથ લંબાવીને મને પકડી લીધો! પાણીમાં ઊઠનારાં મોજાંઓમાંથી તેઓ મને બહાર લાવ્યા.
18 He delivered me from mine enemy most strong, from them that hated me, for they were too mighty for me.
૧૮તેમણે મારા બળવાન શત્રુથી, જેઓ મારો દ્રેષ કરે છે તેઓથી મને બચાવ્યો, તેઓ મારા કરતા વધારે શક્તિશાળી હતા.
19 They confronted me in the day of my calamity; but the LORD was a stay unto me.
૧૯મારી વિપત્તિને દિવસે તેઓ મારી વિરુદ્ધ ઊઠ્યા, પણ મારો આધાર ઈશ્વર હતા.
20 He brought me forth also into a large place; He delivered me, because He delighted in me.
૨૦વળી તેઓ મને ખુલ્લી જગ્યામાં લઈ આવ્યા. તેમણે મને છોડાવ્યો, કેમ કે તેઓ મારા પર પ્રસન્ન હતા.
21 The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath He recompensed me.
૨૧ઈશ્વરે મારા ન્યાયીપણા પ્રમાણે મને પ્રતિફળ આપ્યું; તેમણે મારા હાથની શુદ્ધતા પ્રમાણે મને બદલો આપ્યો છે.
22 For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
૨૨કેમ કે મેં ઈશ્વરના માર્ગોનું પાલન કર્યું છે અને દુરાચાર કરીને હું મારા પ્રભુથી ફરી ગયો નથી.
23 For all His ordinances were before me; and as for His statutes, I did not depart from them.
૨૩કેમ કે તેમનાં સર્વ ન્યાયકૃત્યો મારી આગળ હતાં; તેમના વિધિઓથી હું દૂર ગયો નથી.
24 And I was single-hearted toward Him, and I kept myself from mine iniquity.
૨૪વળી હું તેમની આગળ નિર્દોષ હતો, મેં પાપમાં પડવાથી પોતાને સંભાળ્યો છે.
25 Therefore hath the LORD recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to my cleanness in His eyes.
૨૫તે માટે ઈશ્વરે મારા ન્યાયીપણા પ્રમાણે તથા તેમની દ્રષ્ટિમાં મારી શુદ્ધતા પ્રમાણે મને પ્રતિફળ આપ્યું છે.
26 With the merciful Thou dost show Thyself merciful, with the upright man Thou dost show Thyself upright,
૨૬કૃપાળુની સાથે તમે કૃપાળુ દેખાશો, નિર્દોષ માણસની સાથે તમે નિર્દોષ દેખાશો.
27 With the pure Thou dost show myself pure; and with the crooked Thou dost show Thyself subtle.
૨૭શુદ્ધની સાથે તમે શુદ્ધ દેખાશો, હઠીલાની સાથે તમે હઠીલા દેખાશો.
28 And the afflicted people Thou dost save; but Thine eyes are upon the haughty, that Thou mayest humble them.
૨૮દુઃખી લોકોને તમે બચાવશો, પણ ઘમંડીઓને નીચા નમાવવા સારુ તમે તેઓના પર કરડી દ્રષ્ટિ કરો છો. એ સારુ કે તમે તેઓને નીચા નમાવો.
29 For Thou art my lamp, O LORD; and the LORD doth lighten my darkness.
૨૯કેમ કે, હે ઈશ્વર, તમે મારો દીવો છો. ઈશ્વર મારા અંધકારને પ્રકાશિત કરશે.
30 For by Thee I run upon a troop; by my God do I scale a wall.
૩૦કેમ કે તમારી સહાયથી હું સૈન્ય પર આક્રમણ કરું છું. મારા ઈશ્વર થકી હું દીવાલ કૂદી જાઉં છું.
31 As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried; He is a shield unto all them that take refuge in Him.
૩૧કેમ કે ઈશ્વરનો માર્ગ તો સંપૂર્ણ છે. ઈશ્વરનું વચન શુદ્ધ છે. જેઓ તેમના પર ભરોસો રાખે છે તે સર્વની તેઓ ઢાલ છે.
32 For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a Rock, save our God?
૩૨કેમ કે પ્રભુ સિવાય ઈશ્વર કોણ છે? અને આપણા પ્રભુ સિવાય ગઢ કોણ છે?
33 The God who is my strong fortress, and who letteth my way go forth straight;
૩૩ઈશ્વર મારા ગઢ અને આશ્રય છે તેઓ નિર્દોષ માણસને તેમના માર્ગમાં ચલાવે છે.
34 Who maketh my feet like hinds', and setteth me upon my high places;
૩૪તેઓ મારા પગને હરણીના પગ જેવા કરે છે અને મને ઉચ્ચસ્થાનો પર બિરાજમાન છે.
35 Who traineth my hands for war, so that mine arms do bend a bow of brass.
૩૫તેઓ મારા હાથોને યુદ્ધ કરતા શીખવે છે, તેથી મારા હાથ પિત્તળનું ધનુષ્ય તાણે છે.
36 Thou hast also given me Thy shield of salvation; and Thy condescension hath made me great.
૩૬વળી તમે તમારા ઉદ્ધારની ઢાલ મને આપી છે, તમારી કૃપાએ મને મોટો કર્યો છે.
37 Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, and my feet have not slipped.
૩૭તમે મારા પગ નીચેની જગ્યા વિશાળ કરી છે, જેથી મારા પગ લપસી ગયા નથી.
38 I have pursued mine enemies, and destroyed them; neither did I turn back till they were consumed.
૩૮મેં મારા શત્રુઓની પાછળ પડીને તેઓનો નાશ કર્યો છે. તેઓનો નાશ થયો ત્યાં સુધી હું પાછો ફર્યો નહિ.
39 And I have consumed them, and smitten them through, that they cannot arise; yea, they are fallen under my feet.
૩૯મેં તેઓનો સંહાર કર્યો છે તથા તેઓને એવા વીંધી નાખ્યા છે કે તેઓ પાછા ઊઠી શકે એવા રહ્યા નથી. તેઓ મારા પગ આગળ પડ્યા છે.
40 For Thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle; Thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.
૪૦કેમ કે તમે યુદ્ધને માટે મારી કમરે સામર્થ્યરૂપી પટ્ટો બાંધ્યો છે; મારી સામે ઊઠનારાઓને તમે મારે આધીન કર્યા છે.
41 Thou hast also made mine enemies turn their backs unto me; yea, them that hate me, that I might cut them off.
૪૧વળી તમે મારા શત્રુને મારી આગળ અવળા ફેરવ્યા છે. કે જેઓ મને ધિક્કારે તેઓનો હું નાશ કરું.
42 They looked, but there was none to save; even unto the LORD, but He answered them not.
૪૨તેઓએ મદદને માટે પોકાર કર્યો પણ તેમને બચાવનાર કોઈ ન હતું; તેઓએ ઈશ્વરને વિનંતી કરી પણ તેમણે તેઓને જવાબ આપ્યો નહિ.
43 Then did I beat them small as the dust of the earth, I did stamp them as the mire of the streets, and did tread them down.
૪૩ત્યારે મેં તેઓ પર પ્રહાર કરીને તેમને ધરતીની ધૂળ જેવા કરી દીધા. મેં તેઓને રસ્તાના કાદવની જેમ મસળી નાખ્યાં. તેઓને ચોગમ વિખેરી નાખ્યા.
44 Thou also hast delivered me from the contentions of my people; Thou hast kept me to be the head of the nations; a people whom I have not known serve me.
૪૪તમે મારા લોકના વિવાદોથી પણ મને છોડાવ્યો છે. વિદેશીઓનો અધિપતિ થવા માટે તમે મને સંભાળી રાખ્યો છે. જે લોકોને હું ઓળખતો નથી તેઓ મારી તાબેદારી કરશે.
45 The sons of the stranger dwindle away before me; as soon as they hear of me, they obey me.
૪૫વિદેશીઓ લાચારીથી મારે શરણ આવશે. મારા વિષે સાંભળતાં જ તેઓ મારો પડ્યો બોલ ઝીલશે.
46 The sons of the stranger fade away, and come halting out of their close places.
૪૬વિદેશીઓ ક્ષય પામશે અને તેઓ પોતાના કિલ્લાઓમાંથી ધ્રૂજતા બહાર આવશે.
47 The LORD liveth, and blessed be my Rock; and exalted be the God, my Rock of salvation;
૪૭ઈશ્વર જીવંત છે! મારા ખડકની પ્રશંસા હો! મારા ઉદ્ધારરૂપી ખડક સમાન ઈશ્વર ઊંચા મનાઓ.
48 Even the God that executeth vengeance for me, and bringeth down peoples under me,
૪૮એટલે જે ઈશ્વર મારા વૈરીઓનો બદલો લે છે, જે લોકોને મારી સત્તા નીચે લાવે છે.
49 And that bringeth me forth from mine enemies; yea, Thou liftest me up above them that rise up against me; Thou deliverest me from the violent man.
૪૯તેઓ મારા શત્રુઓની પાસેથી મને છોડાવે છે. મારી સામે ઊઠનારા પર તમે મને ઊંચો કરો છો. તમે બળાત્કારી માણસથી મને બચાવો છો.
50 Therefore I will give thanks unto Thee, O LORD, among the nations, and will sing praises unto Thy name.
૫૦એ માટે લોકો મધ્યે, હે ઈશ્વર, હું તમારી આભારસ્તુતિ કરીશ; હું તમારા નામનાં સ્ત્તોત્ર ગાઈશ.
51 A tower of salvation is He to His king; and showeth mercy to His anointed, to David and to his seed, for evermore.
૫૧ઈશ્વર પોતાના રાજાને વિજય અપાવે છે, પોતાના અભિષિક્ત પર, એટલે દાઉદ તથા તેના સંતાન પર, સદા સર્વકાળ સુધી મહેરબાની રાખે છે.”
