2 Chronicles 4
1 Moreover he made an altar of brass, twenty cubits the length thereof, and twenty cubits the breadth thereof, and ten cubits the height thereof.
Weiter fertigte er einen kupfernen Altar an, zwanzig Ellen lang, zwanzig Ellen breit und zehn Ellen hoch.
2 Also he made the molten sea of ten cubits from brim to brim, round in compass, and the height thereof was five cubits; and a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about.
Und er fertigte das Meer, aus Erz gegossen, von einem Rande bis zum anderen zehn Ellen weit, ringsum rund und fünf Ellen hoch, und eine Schnur von dreißig Ellen umspannte dasselbe ringsum.
3 And under it was the similitude of oxen, which did compass it round about, for ten cubits, compassing the sea round about. The oxen were in two rows, cast when it was cast.
Unterhalb aber war es ganz ringsum von Rindergestalten - je zehn auf die Elle - umgeben; die umgaben das Meer ringsum, zwei Reihen von Rindern, die gleich bei seinem Gusse mitgegossen waren.
4 It stood upon twelve oxen, three looking toward the north, and three looking toward the west, and three looking toward the south, and three looking toward the east; and the sea was set upon them above, and all their hinder parts were inward.
Es stand auf zwölf Rindern; drei waren gegen Norden gewendet, drei gegen Westen, drei gegen Süden und drei gegen Osten. Das Meer aber ruhte oben auf ihnen, und alle ihre Hinterteile waren nach innen gewendet.
5 And it was a handbreadth thick; and the brim thereof was wrought like the brim of a cup, like the flower of a lily: it received and held three thousand baths.
Und seine Dicke betrug eine Handbreite, und sein Rand war wie der Rand eines Bechers gestaltet, nach Art einer Lilienblüte; es faßte dreitausend Bath.
6 He made also ten lavers, and put five on the right hand, and five on the left, to wash in them; such things as belonged to the burnt-offering they washed in them; but the sea was for the priests to wash in.
Weiter fertigte er zehn Becken; fünf davon stellte er rechts und fünf links auf, damit man darin wüsche (Man spülte darin ab, was zum Brandopfer gehört); das Meer aber, damit sich die Priester darin wüschen.
7 And he made the ten candlesticks of gold according to the ordinance concerning them; and he set them in the temple, five on the right hand, and five on the left.
Sodann fertigte er die goldenen Leuchter, zehn an der Zahl, gemäß der für sie geltenden Vorschrift, und stellte sie in den Hauptraum, fünf zur Rechten und fünf zur Linken.
8 He made also ten tables, and placed them in the temple, five on the right side, and five on the left. And he made a hundred basins of gold.
Weiter fertigte er zehn Tische und stellte sie in den Hauptraum, fünf zur Rechten und fünf zur Linken; auch fertigte er hundert goldene Sprengschalen.
9 Furthermore he made the court of the priests, and the great court, and doors for the court, and overlaid the doors of them with brass.
Sodann machte er den Vorhof der Priester und den großen Hof und Thüren zu dem Hof; die zugehörigen Thürflügel überzog er mit Erz.
10 And he set the sea on the right side of the house eastward, toward the south.
Das Meer aber stellte er auf der Südseite des Tempels auf, nach Osten zu, gegenüber dem Süden.
11 And Huram made the pots, and the shovels, and the basins. So Huram made an end of doing the work that he wrought for king Solomon in the house of God:
Und Huram fertigte die Töpfe, Schaufeln und Sprengschalen, und so vollendete Huram die Arbeiten, die er dem Könige Salomo am Tempel Gottes gefertigt hatte:
12 the two pillars, and the bowls, and the two capitals which were on the top of the pillars; and the two networks to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the top of the pillars;
zwei Säulen und die beiden Kugeln der Knäufe oben auf den Säulen und die beiden Gitter, um die beiden Kugeln der Knäufe oben auf den Säulen zu bedecken,
13 and the four hundred pomegranates for the two networks: two rows of pomegranates for each network, to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were upon the top of the pillars.
und die vierhundert Granatäpfel für die beiden Gitter, zwei Reihen Granatäpfel für jedes Gitter;
14 He made also the bases, and the lavers made he upon the bases;
ferner die zehn Gestühle und die zehn Becken auf den Gestühlen
15 one sea, and the twelve oxen under it.
und das eine Meer und die zwölf Rinder darunter.
16 The pots also, and the shovels, and the flesh-hooks, and all the vessels thereof, did Huram his master craftsman make for king Solomon for the house of the LORD of bright brass.
Und die Töpfe, Schaufeln, Gabeln und alle zugehörigen Geräte fertigte Huram-Abiw dem Könige Salomo für den Tempel Jahwes aus poliertem Erz.
17 In the plain of the Jordan did the king cast them, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zeredah.
In der Jordansaue ließ sie der König gießen, in Formen von Thonerde, zwischen Sukkoth und Zereda.
18 Thus Solomon made all these vessels in great abundance; for the weight of the brass could not be found out.
Und Salomo ließ alle diese Geräte in sehr großer Anzahl fertigen, denn das Gewicht des Erzes wurde nicht festgestellt.
19 And Solomon made all the vessels that were in the house of God, the golden altar also, and the tables whereon was the showbread;
Und Salomo fertigte alle die Geräte, die sich im Tempel Gottes befanden: den goldenen Altar, die Tische mit den Schaubroten darauf,
20 and the candlesticks with their lamps, that they should burn according to the ordinance before the Sanctuary, of pure gold;
die Leuchter samt den zugehörigen Lampen, damit sie vorschriftsmäßig vor dem Hinterraum angezündet würden, aus feinem Gold,
21 and the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs, of gold, and that perfect gold;
und die Büten, Lampen und Lichtscheren aus Gold - und zwar aus lauterstem Gold -
22 and the snuffers, and the basins, and the pans, and the fire-pans, of pure gold. And as for the entry of the house, the inner doors thereof for the most holy place, and the doors of the house, that is, of the temple, were of gold.
und die Messer, Sprengschalen, Schüsseln und Pfannen aus feinem Gold. Und was die Thüren des Tempels betrifft, so waren ihre inneren Flügel, die zum Allerheiligsten führten, und die Thürflügel des Gebäudes, die zum Hauptraume führten, von Gold.
