2 Chronicles 27

1 Jotham was twenty and five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Jerushah the daughter of Zadok.

De veinte y cinco años era Joatam, cuando comenzó a reinar, y diez y seis años reinó en Jerusalem. El nombre de su madre fue Jerusa, hija de Sadoc.

2 And he did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, according to all that his father Uzziah had done; howbeit he entered not into the temple of the LORD. And the people did yet corruptly.

Este hizo lo recto en ojos de Jehová conforme a todas las cosas que había hecho Ozías su padre, salvo que no entró en el templo de Jehová: que aun el pueblo corrompía.

3 He built the upper gate of the house of the LORD, and on the wall of Ophel he built much.

Este edificó la puerta mayor de la casa de Jehová, y en el muro de la fortaleza edificó mucho.

4 Moreover he built cities in the hill-country of Judah, and in the forest he built castles and towers.

También edificó ciudades en las montañas de Judá, y labró palacios y torres en los bosques.

5 He fought also with the king of the children of Ammon, and prevailed against them. And the children of Ammon gave him the same year a hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand measures of wheat, and ten thousand of barley. So much did the children of Ammon render unto him, in the second year also, and in the third.

También este tuvo guerra con el rey de los hijos de Ammón, a los cuales venció: y diéronle los hijos de Ammón en aquel año cien talentos de plata, y diez mil coros de trigo, y diez mil de cebada: esto le dieron los hijos de Ammón, y lo mismo en el segundo año, y en el tercero.

6 So Jotham became mighty, because he ordered his ways before the LORD his God.

Así que Joatam fue fortificado, porque preparó sus caminos delante de Jehová su Dios.

7 Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all his wars, and his ways, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.

Lo demás de los hechos de Joatam, y todas sus guerras, y sus caminos, he aquí, está escrito en el libro de los reyes de Israel y de Judá.

8 He was five and twenty years old when he began to reign, and reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem.

Cuando comenzó a reinar era de veinte y cinco años, y diez y seis años reinó en Jerusalem.

9 And Jotham slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David; and Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.

Y durmió Joatam con sus padres, y sepultáronle en la ciudad de David: y reinó en su lugar Acaz su hijo.
