2 Chronicles 20
1 And it came to pass after this, that the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and with them some of the Ammonites, came against Jehoshaphat to battle.
| و بعد از این، بنی موآب و بنی عمون و باایشان بعضی از عمونیان، برای مقاتله بایهوشافاط آمدند. | ۱ |
2 Then there came some that told Jehoshaphat, saying: 'There cometh a great multitude against thee from beyond the sea from Aram; and, behold, they are in Hazazon-tamar' — the same is En-gedi.
| و بعضی آمده، یهوشافاط راخبر دادند و گفتند: «گروه عظیمی از آن طرف دریا از ارام به ضد تو می‌آیند و اینک ایشان درحصون تامار که همان عین جدی باشد، هستند.» | ۲ |
3 And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek unto the LORD; and he proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.
| پس یهوشافاط بترسید و در طلب خداوند جزم نمود و در تمامی یهودا به روزه اعلان کرد. | ۳ |
4 And Judah gathered themselves together, to seek help of the LORD; even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek the LORD.
| ویهودا جمع شدند تا از خداوند مسالت نمایند واز تمامی شهرهای یهودا آمدند تا خداوند راطلب نمایند. | ۴ |
5 And Jehoshaphat stood in the congregation of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the LORD, before the new court;
| و یهوشافاط در میان جماعت یهودا واورشلیم، در خانه خداوند، پیش روی صحن جدید بایستاد، | ۵ |
6 and he said: 'O LORD, the God of our fathers, art not Thou alone God in heaven? and art not Thou ruler over all the kingdoms of the nations? and in Thy hand is power and might, so that none is able to withstand Thee.
| و گفت: «ای یهوه، خدای پدران، ما آیا تو در آسمان خدا نیستی و آیا تو بر جمیع ممالک امت‌ها سلطنت نمی نمایی؟ و در دست تو قوت و جبروت است و کسی نیست که با تومقاومت تواند نمود. | ۶ |
7 Didst not Thou, O our God, drive out the inhabitants of this land before Thy people Israel, and gavest it to the seed of Abraham Thy friend for ever?
| آیا تو خدای ما نیستی که سکنه این زمین را از حضور قوم خود اسرائیل اخراج نموده، آن را به ذریت دوست خویش ابراهیم تا ابدالاباد داده‌ای؟ | ۷ |
8 And they dwelt therein, and have built Thee a sanctuary therein for Thy name, saying:
| و ایشان در آن ساکن شده، مقدسی برای اسم تو در آن بنا نموده، گفتند: | ۸ |
9 If evil come upon us, the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we will stand before this house, and before Thee — for Thy name is in this house — and cry unto Thee in our affliction, and Thou wilt hear and save.
| حینی که بلا یا شمشیر یا قصاص یا وبا یاقحطی بر ما عارض شود و ما پیش روی این خانه و پیش روی تو (زیرا که اسم تو در این خانه مقیم است ) بایستیم، و در وقت تنگی خود نزد تواستغاثه نماییم، آنگاه اجابت فرموده، نجات بده. | ۹ |
10 And now, behold, the children of Ammon and Moab and mount Seir, whom Thou wouldest not let Israel invade, when they came out of the land of Egypt, but they turned aside from them, and destroyed them not;
| و الان اینک بنی عمون و موآب و اهل کوه سعیر، که اسرائیل را وقتی که از مصر بیرون آمدنداجازت ندادی که به آنها داخل شوند، بلکه ازایشان اجتناب نمودند و ایشان را هلاک نساختند. | ۱۰ |
11 behold, they render unto us evil, to come to cast us out of Thy possession, which Thou hast given us to inherit.
| اینک ایشان مکافات آن را به ما می‌رسانند، به اینکه می‌آیند تا ما را از ملک تو که آن را به تصرف ما داده‌ای، اخراج نمایند. | ۱۱ |
12 O our God, wilt Thou not execute judgment on them? for we have no might against this great multitude that cometh against us; neither know we what to do; but our eyes are upon Thee.'
| ای خدای ما آیا توبر ایشان حکم نخواهی کرد؟ زیرا که ما را به مقابل این گروه عظیمی که بر ما می‌آیند، هیچ قوتی نیست و ما نمی دانیم چه بکنیم اما چشمان ما به سوی تو است.» | ۱۲ |
13 And all Judah stood before the LORD, with their little ones, their wives, and their children.
| و تمامی یهودا با اطفال و زنان و پسران خود به حضور خداوند ایستاده بودند. | ۱۳ |
14 Then upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, the Levite, of the sons of Asaph, came the spirit of the LORD in the midst of the congregation;
| آنگاه روح خداوند بر یحزئیل بن زکریا ابن بنایا ابن یعیئیل بن متنیای لاوی که از بنی آساف بود، درمیان جماعت نازل شد. | ۱۴ |
15 and he said: 'Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat: thus saith the LORD unto you: Fear not ye, neither be dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's.
| و او گفت: «ای تمامی یهودا و ساکنان اورشلیم! و‌ای یهوشافاط پادشاه گوش گیرید! خداوند به شما چنین می‌گوید: ازاین گروه عظیم ترسان و هراسان مباشید زیرا که جنگ از آن شما نیست بلکه از آن خداست. | ۱۵ |
16 To-morrow go ye down against them; behold, they come up by the ascent of Ziz; and ye shall find them at the end of the valley, before the wilderness of Jeruel.
| فردا به نزد ایشان فرود آیید. اینک ایشان به فراز صیص برخواهند آمد و ایشان را در انتهای وادی در برابر بیابان یروئیل خواهید یافت. | ۱۶ |
17 Ye shall not need to fight in this battle; set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem; fear not, nor be dismayed; to-morrow go out against them; for the LORD is with you.'
| دراین وقت بر شما نخواهد بود که جنگ نمایید. بایستید و نجات خداوند را که با شما خواهد بودمشاهده نمایید. ای یهودا و اورشلیم ترسان وهراسان مباشید و فردا به مقابل ایشان بیرون رویدو خداوند همراه شما خواهد بود.» | ۱۷ |
18 And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground; and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell down before the LORD, worshipping the LORD.
| پس یهوشافاط رو به زمین افتاد و تمامی یهودا و ساکنان اورشلیم به حضور خداوندافتادند و خداوند را سجده نمودند. | ۱۸ |
19 And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites and of the children of the Korahites, stood up to praise the LORD, the God of Israel, with an exceeding loud voice.
| و لاویان ازبنی قهاتیان و از بنی قورحیان برخاسته، یهوه خدای اسرائیل را به آواز بسیار بلند تسبیح خواندند. | ۱۹ |
20 And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said: 'Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe His prophets, so shall ye prosper.'
| و بامدادان برخاسته، به بیابان تقوع بیرون رفتند و چون بیرون می‌رفتند، یهوشافاط بایستادو گفت: «مرا بشنوید‌ای یهودا و سکنه اورشلیم! بر یهوه خدای خود ایمان آورید و استوارخواهید شد و به انبیای او ایمان آورید که کامیاب خواهید شد.» | ۲۰ |
21 And when he had taken counsel with the people, he appointed them that should sing unto the LORD, and praise in the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and say: 'Give thanks unto the LORD, for His mercy endureth for ever.'
| و بعد از مشورت کردن با قوم بعضی را معین کرد تا پیش روی مسلحان رفته، برای خداوند بسرایند و زینت قدوسیت راتسبیح خوانند و گویند خداوند را حمد گوییدزیرا که رحمت او تا ابدالاباد است. | ۲۱ |
22 And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set liers-in-wait against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, that were come against Judah; and they were smitten.
| و چون ایشان به‌سراییدن و حمد گفتن شروع نمودند، خداوند به ضد بنی عمون و موآب و سکنه جبل سعیر که بر یهودا هجوم آوده بودند، کمین گذاشت و ایشان منکسر شدند. | ۲۲ |
23 For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them; and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another.
| زیرا که بنی عمون و موآب بر سکنه جبل سعیر برخاسته، ایشان را نابود و هلاک ساختند، و چون از ساکنان سعیر فارغ شدند، یکدیگر را به‌کار هلاکت امدادکردند. | ۲۳ |
24 And when Judah came to the watch-tower of the wilderness, they looked upon the multitude; and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and there were none that escaped.
| و چون یهودا به دیده بانگاه بیابان رسیدند وبه سوی آن گروه نظر انداختند، اینک لاشه‌ها برزمین افتاده، و احدی رهایی نیافته بود. | ۲۴ |
25 And when Jehoshaphat and his people came to take the spoil of them, they found among them in abundance both riches and dead bodies, and precious jewels, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away; and they were three days in taking the spoil, it was so much.
| ویهوشافاط با قوم خود به جهت گرفتن غنیمت ایشان آمدند و در میان آنها اموال و رخوت وچیزهای گرانبها بسیار یافتند و برای خود آنقدرگرفتند که نتوانستند ببرند و غنیمت اینقدر زیادبود که سه روز مشغول غارت می‌بودند. | ۲۵ |
26 And on the fourth day they assembled themselves in the valley of Beracah; for there they blessed the LORD; therefore the name of that place was called The valley of Beracah, unto this day.
| و درروز چهارم در وادی برکه جمع شدند زیرا که درآنجا خداوند را متبارک خواندند، و از این جهت آن مکان را تا امروز وادی برکه می‌نامند. | ۲۶ |
27 Then they returned, every man of Judah and Jerusalem, and Jehoshaphat in the forefront of them, to go back to Jerusalem with joy; for the LORD had made them to rejoice over their enemies.
| پس جمیع مردان یهودا و اورشلیم و یهوشافاط مقدم ایشان با شادمانی برگشته، به اورشلیم مراجعت کردند زیرا خداوند ایشان را بر دشمنانشان شادمان ساخته بود. | ۲۷ |
28 And they came to Jerusalem with psalteries and harps and trumpets unto the house of the LORD.
| و با بربطها و عودها وکرناها به اورشلیم به خانه خداوند آمدند. | ۲۸ |
29 And a terror from God was on all the kingdoms of the countries, when they heard that the LORD fought against the enemies of Israel.
| وترس خدا بر جمیع ممالک کشورها مستولی شدچونکه شنیدند که خداوند با دشمنان اسرائیل جنگ کرده است. | ۲۹ |
30 So the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet; for his God gave him rest round about.
| و مملکت یهوشافاط آرام شد، زیرا خدایش او را از هر طرف رفاهیت بخشید. | ۳۰ |
31 And Jehoshaphat reigned over Judah; he was thirty and five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty and five years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Azubah the daughter of Shilhi.
| پس یهوشافاط بر یهودا سلطنت نمود وسی و پنج ساله بود که پادشاه شد و بیست و پنج سال در اورشلیم سلطنت کرد و اسم مادرش عزوبه دختر شلحی بود. | ۳۱ |
32 And he walked in the way of Asa his father, and turned not aside from it, doing that which was right in the eyes of the LORD.
| و موافق رفتار پدرش آسا سلوک نموده، از آن انحراف نورزید و آنچه در نظر خداوند راست بود بجا می‌آورد. | ۳۲ |
33 Howbeit the high places were not taken away; neither as yet had the people set their hearts unto the God of their fathers.
| لیکن مکان های بلند برداشته نشد و قوم هنوز دلهای خود را به سوی خدای پدران خویش مصمم نساخته بودند. | ۳۳ |
34 Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, first and last, behold, they are written in the words of Jehu the son of Hanani, which is inserted in the book of the kings of Israel.
| و بقیه وقایع یهوشافاط از اول تا آخر دراخبار ییهو ابن حنانی که در تواریخ پادشاهان اسرائیل مندرج می‌باشد، مکتوب است. | ۳۴ |
35 And after this did Jehoshaphat king of Judah join himself with Ahaziah king of Israel; the same did very wickedly;
| و بعد از این، یهوشافاط پادشاه یهودا بااخزیا پادشاه اسرائیل که شریرانه رفتار می‌نمود، طرح آمیزش انداخت. | ۳۵ |
36 and he joined him with himself to make ships to go to Tarshish; and they made the ships in Ezion-geber.
| و در ساختن کشتیهابرای رفتن به ترشیش با وی مشارکت نمود وکشتیها را در عصیون جابر ساختند. | ۳۶ |
37 Then Eliezer the son of Dodavahu of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying: 'Because thou hast joined thyself with Ahaziah, the LORD hath made a breach in thy works.' And the ships were broken, that they were not able to go to Tarshish.
| آنگاه العازر بن دوداواهوی مریشاتی به ضد یهوشافاطنبوت کرده، گفت: «چونکه تو با اخزیا متحدشدی، خداوند کارهای تو را تباه ساخته است.» پس آن کشتیها شکسته شدند و نتوانستند به ترشیش بروند. | ۳۷ |
