1 Samuel 7
1 And the men of Kiriath-jearim came, and fetched up the ark of the LORD, and brought it into the house of Abinadab in the hill, and sanctified Eleazar his son to keep the ark of the LORD.
キリアテヤリムの人來りヱホバのはこを携へのぼりこれを山のうへなるアビナダブの家にもちきたり其子エレアザルを聖てヱホバの櫃をまもらしむ
2 And it came to pass, from the day that the ark abode in Kiriath-jearim, that the time was long; for it was twenty years; and all the house of Israel yearned after the LORD.
其櫃キリアテヤリムにとどまること久しくして二十年をへたりイスラエルの全家ヱホバをしたひて歎けり
3 And Samuel spoke unto all the house of Israel, saying: 'If ye do return unto the LORD with all your heart, then put away the foreign gods and the Ashtaroth from among you, and direct your hearts unto the LORD, and serve Him only; and He will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.'
時にサムエル、イスラエルの全家に告ていひけるは汝らもし一心を以てヱホバにかへり異る神とアシタロテを汝らの中より棄て汝らの心をヱホバに定め之にのみ事へなばヱホバ汝らをペリシテ人の手より救ひださん
4 Then the children of Israel did put away the Baalim and the Ashtaroth, and served the LORD only.
ここにおいてイスラエルの人々バアルとアシタロテをすててヱホバにのみ事ふ
5 And Samuel said: 'Gather all Israel to Mizpah, and I will pray for you unto the LORD.'
サムエルいひけるはイスラエル人をことごとくミズパにあつめよ我汝らのためにヱホバにいのらん
6 And they gathered together to Mizpah, and drew water, and poured it out before the LORD, and fasted on that day, and said there: 'We have sinned against the LORD.' And Samuel judged the children of Israel in Mizpah.
かれらミズパに集り水を汲て之をヱホバのまへに注ぎ其日斷食して彼處にいひけるは我等ヱホバに罪ををかしたりとサムエル、ミズパに於てイスラエルの人を鞫く
7 And when the Philistines heard that the children of Israel were gathered together to Mizpah, the lords of the Philistines went up against Israel. And when the children of Israel heard it, they were afraid of the Philistines.
ペリシテ人イスラエルの人々のミズパに集れるを聞しかばペリシテ人の諸君主イスラエルにせめのぼれりイスラエル人これを聞てペリシテ人をおそれたり
8 And the children of Israel said to Samuel: 'Cease not to cry unto the LORD our God for us, that He save us out of the hand of the Philistines.'
イスラエルの人々サムエルに云けるは我らのために我らの神ヱホバに祈ることをやむるなかれ然らばヱホバ我らをペリシテ人の手よりすくひいださん
9 And Samuel took a sucking lamb, and offered it for a whole burnt-offering unto the LORD; and Samuel cried unto the LORD for Israel; and the LORD answered him.
サムエル哺乳羊をとり燔祭となしてこれをまつたくヱホバにささぐまたサムエル、イスラエルのためにヱホバにいのりければヱホバこれにこたへたまふ
10 And as Samuel was offering up the burnt-offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel; but the LORD thundered with a great thunder on that day upon the Philistines, and discomfited them; and they were smitten down before Israel.
サムエル燔祭をささげ居し時ペリシテ人イスラエル人と戰はんとて近づきぬ是日ヱホバ大なる雷をくだしペリシテ人をうちて之を亂し賜ければペリシテ人イスラエル人のまへに敗れたり
11 And the men of Israel went out of Mizpah, and pursued the Philistines, and smote them, until they came under Beth-car.
イスラエル人ミズパをいでてペリシテ人をおひ之をうちてベテカルの下にいたる
12 Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpah and Shen, and called the name of it Eben-ezer, saying: 'Hitherto hath the LORD helped us.'
サムエル一の石をとりてミズパとセンの間におきヱホバ是まで我らを助けたまへりといひて其名をエベネゼル(助けの石)と呼ぶ
13 So the Philistines were subdued, and they came no more within the border of Israel; and the hand of the LORD was against the Philistines all the days of Samuel.
ペリシテ人攻伏られて再びイスラエルの境にいらずサムエルの一生のあひだヱホバの手ペリシテ人をふせげり
14 And the cities which the Philistines had taken from Israel were restored to Israel, from Ekron even unto Gath; and the border thereof did Israel deliver out of the hand of the Philistines. And there was peace between Israel and the Amorites.
ペリシテ人のイスラエルより取たる邑々はエクロンよりガテまでイスラエルにかへりぬまた其周圍の地はイスラエル人これをペリシテ人の手よりとりかへせりまたイスラエル人とアモリ人と好をむすべり
15 And Samuel judged Israel all the days of his life.
サムエル一生のあひだイスラエルをさばき
16 And he went from year to year in circuit to Beth-el, and Gilgal, and Mizpah; and he judged Israel in all those places.
歳々ベテルとギルガルおよびミズパをめぐりて其處々にてイスラエル人をさばき
17 And his return was to Ramah, for there was his house; and there he judged Israel; and he built there an altar unto the LORD.
またラマにかへれり此處に其家あり此にてイスラエルをさばき又此にてヱホバに壇をきづけり
