1 Samuel 26
1 And the Ziphites came unto Saul to Gibeah, saying: 'Doth not David hide himself in the hill of Hachilah, which is before Jeshimon?'
౧గిబియాలో ఉన్న సౌలు దగ్గరికి జీఫు నివాసులు వచ్చి, దావీదు యెషీమోను ఎదుట హకీలా కొండలో దాక్కున్నాడని తెలియజేశారు.
2 Then Saul arose, and went down to the wilderness of Ziph, having three thousand chosen men of Israel with him, to seek David in the wilderness of Ziph.
౨సౌలు లేచి ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల్లో ఏర్పరచబడిన 3,000 మందిని తీసుకు దావీదును వెదకడానికి జీఫుకు బయలుదేరాడు.
3 And Saul pitched in the hill of Hachilah, which is before Jeshimon, by the way. But David abode in the wilderness, and he saw that Saul came after him into the wilderness.
౩సౌలు యెషీమోను ఎదుట ఉన్న హకీలా కొండలో దారి పక్కన దిగినప్పుడు, ఎడారిలో ఉంటున్న దావీదు తనను పట్టుకోవాలని సౌలు వచ్చాడని విని,
4 David therefore sent out spies, and understood that Saul was come of a certainty.
౪గూఢచారులను పంపి “సౌలు కచ్చితంగా వచ్చాడు” అని తెలుసుకున్నాడు.
5 And David arose, and came to the place where Saul had pitched; and David beheld the place where Saul lay, and Abner the son of Ner, the captain of his host; and Saul lay within the barricade, and the people pitched round about him.
౫తరువాత దావీదు లేచి సౌలు సైన్యం మకాం వేసిన స్థలానికి వచ్చి, సౌలు, సౌలు సైన్యాధిపతి, నేరు కొడుకు అబ్నేరు నిద్రపోతున్న స్థలం చూశాడు. సౌలు శిబిరం మధ్యలో నిద్ర పోతున్నప్పుడు సైనికులు అతని చుట్టూ పడుకున్నారు.
6 Then answered David and said to Ahimelech the Hittite, and to Abishai the son of Zeruiah, brother to Joab, saying: 'Who will go down with me to Saul to the camp?' And Abishai said: 'I will go down with thee.'
౬అప్పుడు దావీదు “శిబిరంలో ఉన్న సౌలు దగ్గరికి నాతో కలసి ఎవరు వస్తారు” అని హిత్తీయుడైన అహీమెలెకును సెరూయా కొడుకు, యోవాబు సోదరుడైన అబీషైని అడిగాడు. “నీతో నేను వస్తాను” అని అబీషై అన్నాడు.
7 So David and Abishai came to the people by night; and, behold, Saul lay sleeping within the barricade, with his spear stuck in the ground at his head; and Abner and the people lay round about him.
౭దావీదు, అబీషైలు రాత్రి సమయంలో ఆ శిబిరం దగ్గరికి వెళితే సౌలు శిబిరం మధ్యలో పండుకుని నిద్రపోతున్నాడు. అతని ఈటె అతని దిండు పక్క నేలకు గుచ్చి ఉంది. అబ్నేరు, ఇతరులు సౌలు చుట్టూ పండుకుని నిద్రపోతున్నారు.
8 Then said Abishai to David: 'God hath delivered up thine enemy into thy hand this day; now therefore let me smite him, I pray thee, with the spear to the earth at one stroke, and I will not smite him the second time.'
౮అప్పుడు అబీషై దావీదును చూసి “దేవుడు ఈ రోజున నీ శత్రువుని నీకు అప్పగించాడు. నీకు ఇష్టమైతే అతడు భూమిలో దిగిపోయేలా ఆ ఈటెతో ఒక్కపోటు పొడుస్తాను. ఒక దెబ్బతో పరిష్కారం చేస్తాను” అన్నాడు.
9 And David said to Abishai: 'Destroy him not; for who can put forth his hand against the LORD'S anointed, and be guiltless?'
౯అప్పుడు దావీదు “నువ్వు అతణ్ణి చంపకూడదు, యెహోవా చేత అభిషేకం పొందినవాణ్ణి చంపి దోషి కాకుండా ఉండడం ఎవరివల్లా కాదు.
10 And David said: 'As the LORD liveth, nay, but the LORD shall smite him; or his day shall come to die; or he shall go down into battle, and be swept away.
౧౦యెహోవా మీద ఒట్టు, యెహోవాయే అతణ్ణి శిక్షిస్తాడు, అతడు ప్రమాదం వల్ల చస్తాడు, లేకపోతే యుద్ధంలో నశిస్తాడు.
11 The LORD forbid it me, that I should put forth my hand against the LORD'S anointed; but now take, I pray thee, the spear that is at his head, and the cruse of water and let us go.'
౧౧యెహోవా వలన అభిషేకం పొందినవాణ్ణి నేను చంపను. అలా చేయకుండా యెహోవా నన్ను ఆపుతాడు గాక. అయితే అతని దిండు దగ్గర ఉన్న ఈటె, నీళ్లబుడ్డి తీసుకు మనం వెళ్ళిపోదాం పద” అని అబీషైతో చెప్పాడు.
12 So David took the spear and the cruse of water from Saul's head; and they got them away, and no man saw it, nor knew it, neither did any awake; for they were all asleep; because a deep sleep from the LORD was fallen upon them.
౧౨సౌలు దిండు దగ్గర ఉన్న ఈటెను నీళ్లబుడ్డిని తీసుకు ఇద్దరూ వెళ్ళిపోయారు. యెహోవా వల్ల అక్కడు ఉన్న వారందరికీ గాఢనిద్ర కలిగింది. వారిలో ఎవ్వరూ నిద్ర నుండి లేవలేదు. ఎవ్వరూ వచ్చిన వాళ్ళను చూడలేదు, ఏం జరిగిందో ఎవరికీ తెలియలేదు.
13 Then David went over to the other side, and stood on the top of the mountain afar off; a great space being between them.
౧౩తరువాత దావీదు దూరంగా వెళ్ళి అక్కడ ఉన్న కొండపై నిలబడ్డాడు. వీరిద్దరి మధ్యా చాలా ఎడం ఉంది.
14 And David cried to the people, and to Abner the son of Ner, saying: 'Answerest thou not, Abner?' Then Abner answered and said: 'Who art thou that criest to the king?'
౧౪అప్పుడు ప్రజలు, నేరు కొడుకు అబ్నేరు వినేలా “అబ్నేరూ, నువ్వు మాట్లాడతావా?” అని గట్టిగా కేకవేస్తే, అబ్నేరు కేకలు వేస్తూ “రాజుకు నిద్రాభంగం చేస్తున్న నువ్వు ఎవరివి?” అని అడిగాడు.
15 And David said to Abner: 'Art not thou a valiant man? and who is like to thee in Israel? wherefore then hast thou not kept watch over thy lord the king? for there came one of the people in to destroy the king thy lord.
౧౫అప్పుడు దావీదు “నీకు ధైర్యం లేదా? ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల్లో నీలాంటి వాడు ఎవరు? నీకు యజమాని అయిన రాజుకు నువ్వెందుకు కాపలా కాయలేకపోయావు? నీకు యజమాని అయిన రాజును చంపడానికి ఒకడు దగ్గరగా వచ్చాడే.
16 This thing is not good that thou hast done. As the LORD liveth, ye deserve to die, because ye have not kept watch over your lord, the LORD'S anointed. And now, see, where the king's spear is, and the cruse of water that was at his head.'
౧౬నువ్వు చేసిన పని సరి కాదు, నువ్వు శిక్షకు పాత్రుడివే. యెహోవా వలన అభిషేకం పొందిన నీ యజమానికి నువ్వు రక్షణగా ఉండలేదు. యెహోవా మీద ఒట్టు, నువ్వు మరణశిక్ష పొందాల్సిందే. రాజు ఈటె ఎక్కడ ఉందో చూడు, అతని దిండు దగ్గర ఉన్న నీళ్లబుడ్డి ఎక్కడ ఉందో చూడు” అన్నాడు.
17 And Saul knew David's voice, and said: 'Is this thy voice, my son David?' And David said: 'It is my voice, my lord, O king.'
౧౭సౌలు దావీదు గొంతు గుర్తుపట్టి “దావీదూ, నాయనా, ఇది నీ గొంతే కదా” అని పిలిచాడు. అందుకు దావీదు “నా యజమానీ, నా రాజా, ఇది నా స్వరమే.
18 And he said: 'Wherefore doth my lord pursue after his servant? for what have I done? or what evil is in my hand?
౧౮నా యజమాని దాసుడనైన నన్ను ఈ విధంగా అతడు ఎందుకు తరుముతున్నాడు? నేనేం చేశాను? నా నుండి నీకు ఏ కీడు సంభవిస్తుంది?
19 Now therefore, I pray thee, let my lord the king hear the words of his servant. If it be the LORD that hath stirred thee up against me, let Him accept an offering; but if it be the children of men, cursed be they before the LORD; for they have driven me out this day that I should not cleave unto the inheritance of the LORD, saying: Go, serve other gods.
౧౯రాజా, నా యజమానీ, దాసుడనైన నా మాటలు విను. నా మీద పగ సాధించాలని యెహోవా నిన్ను ప్రేరేపిస్తే ఆయన అర్పణ స్వీకరించి ఆయన్ను శాంతిపరచవచ్చు. మనుషులెవరైనా నిన్ను ప్రేరేపించినట్టైతే వారు తప్పక యెహోవా దృష్టిలో శాపానికి గురి అవుతారు. ఎందుకంటే వారు, ‘నువ్వు దేశం విడిచిపెట్టి ఇతర దేవుళ్ళను పూజించు’ అని నాకు చెప్పి, యెహోవా సన్నిధానం నుండి నన్ను దూరం చేస్తున్నారు.
20 Now therefore, let not my blood fall to the earth away from the presence of the LORD; for the king of Israel is come out to seek a single flea, as when one doth hunt a partridge in the mountains.'
౨౦నా దేశానికి, యెహోవా సన్నిధానానికి దూరంగా నా రక్తం ఒలక నియ్యవద్దు. ఒకడు బయలుదేరి కొండలపై కౌజుపిట్టను వేటాడినట్టుగా ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజవైన నువ్వు పురుగులాంటి నన్ను వెదకడానికి బయలుదేరి వచ్చావు.”
21 Then said Saul: 'I have sinned; return, my son David; for I will no more do thee harm, because my life was precious in thine eyes this day; behold, I have played the fool and erred exceedingly.'
౨౧అప్పుడు సౌలు “నేను పాపం చేశాను, ఈ రోజు నా ప్రాణం నీ దృష్టిలో విలువైనదిగా ఉన్నదాన్నిబట్టి నేను నీకు ఇక ఎన్నడూ హాని తలపెట్టను. దావీదూ, నా కొడుకా, నా దగ్గరికి తిరిగి వచ్చేయి. పిచ్చి వాడిలాగా ప్రవర్తించి నేను ఎన్నో తప్పులు చేశాను” అని పలికాడు.
22 And David answered and said: 'Behold the king's spear! let then one of the young men come over and fetch it.
౨౨దావీదు “రాజా, ఇదిగో నీ ఈటె నా దగ్గర ఉంది. పనివాళ్ళలో ఒకడు వచ్చి దీన్ని తీసుకోవచ్చు” అన్నాడు.
23 And the LORD will render to every man his righteousness and his faithfulness; forasmuch as the LORD delivered thee into my hand to-day, and I would not put forth my hand against the LORD'S anointed.
౨౩“యెహోవా ఈ రోజున నిన్ను నాకు అప్పగించినప్పటికీ, నేను యెహోవా వలన అభిషేకించబడిన వాణ్ణి చంపకుండా వదిలినందువల్ల ఆయన నా నీతి, విశ్వాస్యతను బట్టి నాకు తగిన బహుమానం ఇస్తాడు.
24 And, behold, as thy life was much set by this day in mine eyes, so let my life be much set by in the eyes of the LORD, and let Him deliver me out of all tribulation.'
౨౪విను, ఈ రోజు నీ ప్రాణం నా దృష్టిలో విలువైనది అయినట్టే, యెహోవా నా ప్రాణాన్ని తన దృష్టికి మిన్నగా ఎంచి బాధలన్నిటిలోనుండి నన్ను రక్షిస్తాడు గాక” అని చెప్పాడు.
25 Then Saul said to David: 'Blessed be thou, my son David; thou shalt both do mightily, and shalt surely prevail.' So David went his way, and Saul returned to his place.
౨౫అప్పుడు సౌలు “దావీదూ, బిడ్డా, నీకు ఆశీర్వాదం కలుగు గాక. నీవు గొప్ప పనులు మొదలుపెట్టి విజయం సాధిస్తావు గాక” అని దావీదుతో చెప్పాడు. అప్పుడు దావీదు తన దారిన వెళ్లిపోయాడు. సౌలు కూడా తన స్థలానికి తిరిగి వచ్చాడు.
