1 Samuel 15
1 And Samuel said unto Saul: 'The LORD sent me to anoint thee to be king over His people, over Israel; now therefore hearken thou unto the voice of the words of the LORD.
၁တဖန် ရှမွေလ က၊ ထာဝရဘုရား ၏လူ ဣသရေလ အမျိုးကို အုပ်စိုးစေခြင်းငှါသင့် ကို ဘိသိက် ပေးမည် အကြောင်း၊ ငါ့ ကို အထက်ကစေလွှတ် တော်မူသည်ဖြစ်၍ ၊ ယခု မှာ ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ စကား တော်ကို နားထောင် လော့။
2 Thus saith the LORD of hosts: I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he set himself against him in the way, when he came up out of Egypt.
၂ကောင်းကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေ အရှင်ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့် တော်မူသည်ကား၊ အဲဂုတ္တု ပြည်မှ ထွက် လာသောဣသရေလအမျိုး၌၊ အာမလက် အမျိုးပြု သော ဆီးတားခြင်းအမှုကို ငါမှတ်လျက်ရှိ၏။
3 Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.'
၃ယခု သွား ၍ ထိုအမျိုးကို လုပ်ကြံ လော့။ နှမြော ခြင်းမ ရှိဘဲ၊ ရှင်းရှင်း ဖျက်ဆီး ၍ ၊ ယောက်ျား ၊ မိန်းမ ၊ သူငယ် ၊ နို့စို့ မှစ၍ ၊ သိုး ၊ နွား ၊ ကုလားအုပ် ၊ မြည်း တို့ကိုသတ် လော့ဟု ရှောလု အား ဆင့်ဆို သည် အတိုင်း၊
4 And Saul summoned the people, and numbered them in Telaim, two hundred thousand footmen, and ten thousand men of Judah.
၄ရှောလု သည် လူ တို့ကို စုဝေး စေ၍ တေလိမ် မြို့မှာ စာရင်း ယူသဖြင့် ၊ ခြေသည် သူရဲနှစ် သိန်း၊ ယုဒ စစ်သူရဲတသောင်း ရှိကြ၏။
5 And Saul came to the city of Amalek, and lay in wait in the valley.
၅ရှောလု သည်လည်း အာမလက် မြို့ သို့ စစ်ချီ ၍ ချိုင့် ၌ တပ်ချ ပြီးမှ၊
6 And Saul said unto the Kenites: 'Go, depart, get you down from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy you with them; for ye showed kindness to all the children of Israel, when they came up out of Egypt.' So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites.
၆ကေနိ လူတို့ရှိရာသို့ စေလွှတ်လျက်၊ သင် တို့ကို အာမလက် လူတို့နှင့်အတူ ငါဖျက်ဆီး မည်ဟု စိုးရိမ်စရာရှိသောကြောင့်၊ သူတို့အထဲက ထွက် သွား၍ နေရာ ပြောင်းကြလော့။ ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသား တို့သည် အဲဂုတ္တု ပြည်မှ ထွက် လာသောအခါ ၊ သင်တို့သည် ကျေးဇူး ပြု ကြပြီဟု မှာ လိုက်သည် အတိုင်း ၊ ကေနိ လူတို့သည် အာမလက် လူတို့အထဲ က ထွက်သွား ကြ၏။
7 And Saul smote the Amalekites, from Havilah as thou goest to Shur, that is in front of Egypt.
၇ရှောလု သည် ဟဝိလ မြို့မှစ၍ အဲဂုတ္တု ပြည် တစ်ဘက်တချက် ၌ နေသော ရှုရ မြို့တိုင်အောင်အာမလက် လူတို့ကို လုပ်ကြံ လေ၏။
8 And he took Agag the king of the Amalekites alive, and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword.
၈အာမလက် ရှင်ဘုရင် အာဂတ် ကို အရှင် ဘမ်းမိ ၏။ လူ အပေါင်း တို့ကို ထား ဖြင့် ရှင်းရှင်းဖျက်ဆီး လေ၏။
9 But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, even the young of the second birth, and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them; but every thing that was of no account and feeble, that they destroyed utterly.
၉သို့ရာတွင် ရှောလု နှင့် လူ များတို့သည် အာဂတ် မင်းနှင့်တကွ၊ သိုး နွား အမြတ် အလတ်၊ ဆူ သော သိုးသငယ် ၊ ကောင်း သော ဥစ္စာရှိသမျှ ကို နှမြော ၍ ရှင်းရှင်းမ ဖျက်ဆီး ကြ။ အသုံး မဝင် ယုတ်မာ သော ဥစ္စာ ရှိသမျှ ကိုသာ ရှင်းရှင်းဖျက်ဆီး ကြ၏။
10 Then came the word of the LORD unto Samuel, saying:
၁၀ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ နှုတ်ကပတ် တော်သည် ရှမွေလ သို့ ရောက် လာ၍၊
11 'It repenteth Me that I have set up Saul to be king; for he is turned back from following Me, and hath not performed My commandments.' And it grieved Samuel; and he cried unto the LORD all night.
၁၁ငါသည် ရှောလု ကို ရှင်ဘုရင် အရာ ၌ ခန့်ထားသည်အမှုကြောင့် နောင်တရ ၏။ သူသည် ငါ ၏ ပညတ် တို့ကို မ ကျင့် ၊ ငါ့ နောက် သို့မ လိုက်၊ လမ်းလွှဲပြီဟု မိန့် တော်မူ၏။ ရှမွေလ သည် ဝမ်းနည်း ၍ တညဉ့်လုံး ထာဝရဘုရား အား ဟစ်ကြော် ပြီးလျှင်၊
12 And Samuel rose early to meet Saul in the morning; and it was told Samuel, saying: 'Saul came to Carmel, and, behold, he is setting him up a monument, and is gone about, and passed on, and gone down to Gilgal.'
၁၂နံနက် စောစောထ ၍ ရှောလု ကို ကြိုဆို ခြင်းငှါ သွားသောအခါ၊ ရှောလု သည် ကရမေလ မြို့သို့ ရောက် ၍ အောင်တိုင် ကို စိုက် ပြီးမှ ၊ လှည့်လည် သဖြင့် ဂိလဂါလ မြို့သို့ လွန် သွားကြောင်းကို ကြားသောကြောင့်၊ ရှောလုရှိရာသို့ သွား လေ၏။
13 And Samuel came to Saul; and Saul said unto him: 'Blessed be thou of the LORD; I have performed the commandment of the LORD.'
၁၃ရှောလု ကလည်း၊ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် ကိုယ်တော် ကို ကောင်းကြီး ပေးတော်မူပါစေသော။ အကျွန်ုပ် သည် ထာဝရဘုရား အမိန့် တော်အတိုင်း ပြု ပါပြီဟု ဆို ၏။
14 And Samuel said: 'What meaneth then this bleating of the sheep in mine ears, and the lowing of the oxen which I hear?'
၁၄ရှမွေလ ကလည်း ၊ သို့ဖြစ်လျှင် ငါ ကြား ရသော သိုး မြည် သံ၊ နွား မြည် သံကား အဘယ်သို့ နည်းဟုမေး သော်၊
15 And Saul said: 'They have brought them from the Amalekites; for the people spared the best of the sheep and of the oxen, to sacrifice unto the LORD thy God; and the rest we have utterly destroyed.'
၁၅ရှောလု က၊ အာမလက် ပြည်မှ ဆောင် ခဲ့ပါပြီ။ လူ များတို့သည် ကိုယ်တော် ၏ဘုရား သခင်ထာဝရဘုရား အား ယဇ် ပူဇော်လိုသောငှါ အကောင်းဆုံး သော သိုး နွား တို့ကို နှမြော ၍၊ ကြွင်း သော အရာရှိသမျှတို့ကို ရှင်းရှင်းဖျက်ဆီး ပါပြီဟု ဆို ၏။
16 Then Samuel said unto Saul: 'Stay, and I will tell thee what the LORD hath said to me this night.' And he said unto him: 'Say on.'
၁၆ရှမွေလ ကလည်း ၊ နေ ပါဦးလော့။ မနေ့ည မှာ ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့် တော်မူသော စကားကို ပြန်ပြော ပါ မည်ဟု ရှောလု အား ဆို လျှင် ၊ ရှောလုက ပြော ပါတော့ဟုဆို ၏။
17 And Samuel said: 'Though thou be little in thine own sight, art thou not head of the tribes of Israel? And the LORD anointed thee king over Israel;
၁၇ရှမွေလ ကလည်း ၊ သင် သည် ကိုယ်အထင်အတိုင်း ငယ် သောသူဖြစ်လျက်ပင်၊ ဣသရေလ အမျိုး တို့ ၏ အထွဋ် သို့ ရောက်၍၊ ဣသရေလ ရှင်ဘုရင် အရာနှင့် ထာဝရဘုရား ဘိသိက် ပေးတော်မူသည် မ ဟုတ်လော။
18 and the LORD sent thee on a journey, and said: Go and utterly destroy the sinners the Amalekites, and fight against them until they be consumed.
၁၈ထာဝရဘုရား က၊ သွား လော့။ အပြစ် များသော အာမလက် အမျိုးသားတို့ကို ရှင်းရှင်းဖျက်ဆီး လော့။ မဖျက်ဆီး မှီ တိုင်အောင် စစ်တိုက် လော့ဟု သင့် ကို ဝေး သော အရပ်သို့ စေလွှတ် တော်မူ၏။
19 Wherefore then didst thou not hearken to the voice of the LORD, but didst fly upon the spoil, and didst that which was evil in the sight of the LORD?'
၁၉သို့ဖြစ်၍ သင်သည် ထာဝရဘုရား ၏အမိန့် တော်ကို နား မ ထောင်ဘဲ၊ ရန်သူ၏ ဥစ္စာ ကို လုယူ၍ ထာဝရဘုရား ရှေ့ တော်၌ ဤဒုစရိုက် ကို အဘယ်ကြောင့် ပြု ဘိသနည်းဟု ပြောဆိုသော်၊
20 And Saul said unto Samuel: 'Yea, I have hearkened to the voice of the LORD, and have gone the way which the LORD sent me, and have brought Agag the king of Amalek, and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites.
၂၀ရှောလု က၊ အကျွန်ုပ်သည် ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ အမိန့် တော်ကို ဧကန်အမှန်နားထောင် ပါပြီ။ ထာဝရဘုရား စေခိုင်း တော်မူသော လမ်း သို့ လိုက် ပါပြီ။ အာမလက် ရှင်ဘုရင် အာဂတ် ကို ဆောင် ခဲ့၍ ၊ အာမလက် အမျိုးသားတို့ကို ရှင်းရှင်းဖျက်ဆီး ပါပြီ။
21 But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the chief of the devoted things, to sacrifice unto the LORD thy God in Gilgal.'
၂၁သို့ရာတွင် လူ များတို့သည် ဂိလဂါလ မြို့၌ ကိုယ်တော် ၏ ဘုရား သခင်ထာဝရဘုရား အား ယဇ် ပူဇော်လိုသောငှါ လုယူ သော သိုး နွား ၊ ရှင်းရှင်းဖျက်ဆီး အပ်သောအရာ အကောင်းဆုံး တို့ကို သိမ်းယူ ကြပါပြီဟု ပြောဆို ပြန်၏။
22 And Samuel said: 'Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt-offerings and sacrifices, as in hearkening to the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
၂၂ရှမွေလ ကလည်း ၊ ထာဝရဘုရား ၏အမိန့် တော်ကို နားထောင် ခြင်း၌ အားရတော်မူသကဲ့သို့ ၊ မီး ရှို့ရာ ယဇ်အစရှိသော ယဇ် မျိုးတို့ကို ပူဇော်ခြင်း၌ အားရ တော်မူမည်လော။ အလို တော်သို့ လိုက်ခြင်းသည် ယဇ် မျိုးထက် သာ၍ကောင်း၏။ နားထောင် ခြင်းသည် သိုး ထီးဆီဥ ထက် သာ၍ကောင်း၏။
23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as idolatry and teraphim. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, He hath also rejected thee from being king.'
၂၃ငြင်းဆန် သော သဘောသည် နတ်ဆိုး နှင့်ပေါင်းခြင်းကဲ့သို့၎င်း၊ ခိုင်မာ သော သဘောသည် ဗေဒင်တန်ဆာကို သုံးခြင်းကဲ့သို့၎င်း အပြစ် ကြီး၏။ သင်သည် ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ စကား တော်ကို ပယ် သောကြောင့် ၊ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် ရှင်ဘုရင် အရာကို နှုတ်၍ သင့် ကို ပယ် တော်မူပြီဟု ဆို ၏။
24 And Saul said unto Samuel: 'I have sinned; for I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD, and thy words; because I feared the people, and hearkened to their voice.
၂၄ရှောလု ကလည်း ၊ အကျွန်ုပ်သည် ပြစ်မှား ပါပြီ။ လူ များကို ကြောက် ၍ သူ တို့စကား ကို နားထောင် သောကြောင့် ၊ ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ အမိန့် တော်ကို၎င်း ၊ ကိုယ်တော် ၏ စကား ကို၎င်းလွန်ကျူး ပါပြီ။
25 Now therefore, I pray thee, pardon my sin, and return with me, that I may worship the LORD.'
၂၅အကျွန်ုပ် အပြစ် ကို သည်းခံ တော်မူပါ။ အကျွန်ုပ်သည် ကိုယ်တော်၏ ဘုရားသခင်ထာဝရဘုရား ကို ကိုးကွယ် မည်အကြောင်း ၊ အကျွန်ုပ် နှင့်အတူ ပြန် လာပါဟု တောင်းပန် သော်လည်း၊
26 And Samuel said unto Saul: 'I will not return with thee; for thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, and the LORD hath rejected thee from being king over Israel.'
၂၆ရှမွေလ က၊ သင် နှင့်အတူ ငါမ ပြန်။ သင်သည် ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ အမိန့် တော်ကို ပယ် သောကြောင့် ၊ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် ဣသရေလ ရှင်ဘုရင် အရာကို နှုတ်၍ သင့် ကို ပယ် တော်မူပြီဟု ရှောလု အား ဆို ပြီးမှ၊
27 And as Samuel turned about to go away, he laid hold upon the skirt of his robe, and it rent.
၂၇လှည့် သွား သောအခါ ရှောလုသည် ရှမွေလ ၏ ဝတ်လုံ စွန်း ကို ကိုင် ဆွဲ၍ ဝတ်လုံစုတ် လေ၏။
28 And Samuel said unto him: 'The LORD hath rent the kingdom of Israel from thee this day, and hath given it to a neighbour of thine, that is better than thou.
၂၈ရှမွေလ ကလည်း ၊ ယနေ့ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် ဣသရေလ နိုင်ငံ ကို သင် မှ ဆုတ် ယူ၍ ၊ သင့် ထက် ကောင်း သောသင် ၏ အိမ်နီးချင်း အား ပေး တော်မူပြီ။
29 And also the Glory of Israel will not lie nor repent; for He is not a man, that He should repent.'
၂၉ထိုမှတပါး ဣသရေလ အမျိုး၏ အစွမ်း သတ္တိဖြစ်သော ဘုရားသည် မုသာ သုံးခြင်း၊ နောင်တရ ခြင်း နှင့် ကင်းလွတ် တော်မူ၏။ နောင်တရ အံ့သောငှါ လူ ဖြစ်တော်မ မူဟုဆို သော်၊
30 Then he said: 'I have sinned; yet honour me now, I pray thee, before the elders of my people, and before Israel, and return with me, that I may worship the LORD thy God.'
၃၀ရှောလုက အကျွန်ုပ်ပြစ်မှား ပါပြီ။ သို့သော်လည်း အကျွန်ုပ် အမျိုးသား ချင်း အသက်ကြီး သူတို့ ရှေ့ ၌၎င်း ၊ ဣသရေလ အမျိုးရှေ့ ၌၎င်း၊ အကျွန်ုပ် ၏ ဂုဏ်အသရေကို မဖျက်ပါနှင့်။ အကျွန်ုပ်သည် ကိုယ်တော် ၏ ဘုရား သခင်ထာဝရဘုရား ကို ကိုးကွယ် ရမည်အကြောင်း ၊ အကျွန်ုပ် နှင့်အတူ ပြန် လာပါဟု တောင်းပန် သည်အတိုင်း၊
31 So Samuel returned after Saul; and Saul worshipped the LORD.
၃၁ရှမွေလ သည် ရှောလု နောက် သို့ လိုက်၍ ၊ ရှောလု သည် ထာဝရဘုရား ကို ကိုးကွယ် လေ၏။
32 Then said Samuel: 'Bring ye hither to me Agag the king of the Amalekites.' And Agag came unto him in chains. And Agag said: 'Surely the bitterness of death is at hand.'
၃၂ထိုအခါ ရှမွေလ က၊ အာမလက် ရှင်ဘုရင် အာဂတ် ကို ငါ့ ထံသို့ ခေါ် ခဲ့ကြဟု ဆို သည်အတိုင်း ၊ အာဂတ် က သေ ဘေးသည် စင်စစ် လွန် သွားပြီဟု ဆိုလျက် ရွှင်လန်း စွာလာ ၏။
33 And Samuel said: As thy sword hath made women childless, so shall thy mother be childless among women. And Samuel hewed Agag in pieces before the LORD in Gilgal.
၃၃ရှမွေလ က၊ မိန်းမ များတို့သည် သင် ၏ထား ကြောင့် သား ဆုံးသကဲ့သို့ ၊ သင် ၏ အမိ သည် သား ဆုံး သော မိန်းမ ဖြစ်ရမည်ဟုဆို လျက် ၊ ဂိလဂါလ မြို့မှာ ထာဝရဘုရား ရှေ့ တော်၌ အာဂတ် ကို အပိုင်းပိုင်း ဖြတ်စေ၏။
34 Then Samuel went to Ramah; and Saul went up to his house to Gibeath-shaul.
၃၄ထိုနောက် ရှမွေလ သည် ရာမ မြို့သို့သွား ၍ ရှောလု သည် မိမိ နေရာ ဂိဗာ မြို့၊ နန်းတော် သို့ ပြန် သွား လေ၏။
35 And Samuel never beheld Saul again until the day of his death; for Samuel mourned for Saul; and the LORD repented that He had made Saul king over Israel.
၃၅ရှောလု အနိစ္စ မရောက်မှီတိုင်အောင် ၊ ရှမွေလ သည် နောက် တဖန် အကြည့် အရှုမ လာ။ သို့ရာတွင်ရှမွေလ သည် ရှောလု အတွက် စိတ် မသာညည်းတွားလျက်နေ၏။ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် ရှောလု ကို ဣသရေလ ရှင် ဘုရင်အရာ၌ ခန့်ထားသော အမှုကို နောင်တရ တော်မူ၏။
