1 Kings 16
1 And the word of the LORD came to Jehu the son of Hanani against Baasa, saying:
Y fue palabra de Jehová a Jehú, hijo de Hanani, contra Baasa, diciendo:
2 'Forasmuch as I exalted thee out of the dust, and made thee prince over My people Israel; and thou hast walked in the way of Jeroboam, and hast made My people Israel to sin, to provoke Me with their sins;
Por cuanto yo te levanté del polvo, y te puse por príncipe sobre mi pueblo Israel, mas tú has andado en el camino de Jeroboam, y has hecho pecar a mi pueblo Israel, provocándome a ira en sus pecados:
3 behold, I will utterly sweep away Baasa and his house; and I will make thy house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat.
He aquí yo barro la posteridad de Baasa, y la posteridad de su casa; y pondré tu casa, como la casa de Jeroboam, hijo de Nabat.
4 Him that dieth of Baasa in the city shall the dogs eat; and him that dieth of his in the field shall the fowls of the air eat.'
El que de Baasa fuere muerto en la ciudad, los perros le comerán: y el que de él fuere muerto en el campo, comerle han las aves del cielo.
5 Now the rest of the acts of Baasa, and what he did, and his might, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
Lo demás de los hechos de Baasa, y las cosas que hizo, y su fortaleza, ¿no está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Israel?
6 And Baasa slept with his fathers, and was buried in Tirzah; and Elah his son reigned in his stead.
Y durmió Baasa con sus padres, y fue sepultado en Tersa; y reinó en su lugar Ela su hijo.
7 And moreover by the hand of the prophet Jehu the son of Hanani came the word of the LORD against Baasa, and against his house, both because of all the evil that he did in the sight of the LORD, to provoke Him with the work of his hands, in being like the house of Jeroboam, and because he smote him.
Y asimismo había sido palabra de Jehová por Jehú, hijo de Hanani, profeta, sobre Baasa, y sobre su casa, y sobre todo lo malo que hizo delante de los ojos de Jehová, provocándole a ira con las obras de sus manos, que sería hecha como la casa de Jeroboam: y sobre que le había herido.
8 In the twenty and sixth year of Asa king of Judah began Elah the son of Baasa to reign over Israel in Tirzah, and reigned two years.
En el año veinte y seis de Asa rey de Judá, comenzó a reinar Ela, hijo de Baasa, sobre Israel en Tersa, dos años:
9 And his servant Zimri, captain of half his chariots, conspired against him; now he was in Tirzah, drinking himself drunk in the house of Arza, who was over the household in Tirzah;
E hizo conjuración contra él su siervo Zambri, príncipe sobre la mitad de los carros: y estando él en Tersa bebiendo, y embriagado en casa de Arsa su mayordomo en Tersa,
10 and Zimri went in and smote him, and killed him, in the twenty and seventh year of Asa king of Judah, and reigned in his stead.
Vino Zambri, y le hirió, y mató en el año veinte y siete de Asa rey de Judá, y reinó en su lugar.
11 And it came to pass, when he began to reign, as soon as he sat on his throne, that he smote all the house of Baasa; he left him not a single man-child, neither of his kinsfolks, nor of his friends.
Y reinando él, y estando asentado en su trono hirió toda la casa de Baasa sin dejar en ella meante a la pared, ni sus parientes ni amigos.
12 Thus did Zimri destroy all the house of Baasa, according to the word of the LORD, which He spoke against Baasa by Jehu the prophet,
Y así rayó Zambri toda la casa de Baasa, conforme a la palabra de Jehová, que había hablado contra Baasa por Jehú profeta:
13 for all the sins of Baasa, and the sins of Elah his son, which they sinned, and wherewith they made Israel to sin, to provoke the LORD, the God of Israel, with their vanities.
Por todos los pecados de Baasa, y los pecados de Ela su hijo, con que ellos pecaron, e hicieron pecar a Israel, provocando a enojo a Jehová Dios de Israel con sus vanidades.
14 Now the rest of the acts of Elah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
Los demás hechos de Ela, y todas las cosas que hizo, ¿no está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Israel?
15 In the twenty and seventh year of Asa king of Judah did Zimri reign seven days in Tirzah. Now the people were encamped against Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines.
En el año veinte y siete de Asa rey de Judá, comenzó a reinar Zambri siete días en Tersa: y el pueblo había asentado campo sobre Gebbetón, ciudad de los Filisteos.
16 And the people that were encamped heard say: 'Zimri hath conspired, and hath also smitten the king'; wherefore all Israel made Omri, the captain of the host, king over Israel that day in the camp.
Y el pueblo que estaba en el campo oyendo decir: Zambri ha hecho conjuración, y ha muerto al rey, entonces todo Israel levantó por rey sobre Israel a Amrí, general del ejército, el mismo día en el campo.
17 And Omri went up from Gibbethon, and all Israel with him, and they besieged Tirzah.
Y subió Amrí y todo Israel con él de Gebbetón, y cercaron a Tersa.
18 And it came to pass, when Zimri saw that the city was taken, that he went into the castle of the king's house, and burnt the king's house over him with fire, and died;
Y viendo Zambri tomada la ciudad se metió en el palacio de la casa real, y pegó fuego a la casa consigo; y murió,
19 for his sins which he sinned in doing that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, in walking in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin which he did, to make Israel to sin.
Por sus pecados con que él pecó, haciendo lo malo delante de los ojos de Jehová, y andando en los caminos de Jeroboam, y en sus pecados que hizo, haciendo pecar a Israel.
20 Now the rest of the acts of Zimri, and his treason that he wrought, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
Los demás hechos de Zambri, y su conspiración, que conspiró, ¿no está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Israel?
21 Then were the people of Israel divided into two parts: half of the people followed Tibni the son of Ginath, to make him king; and half followed Omri.
Entonces el pueblo de Israel fue dividido en dos partes; la mitad del pueblo seguía a Tebni, hijo de Ginet, para hacerle rey: y la otra mitad seguía a Amrí.
22 But the people that followed Omri prevailed against the people that followed Tibni the son of Ginath; so Tibni died, and Omri reigned.
Mas el pueblo que seguía a Amrí, pudo más que el que seguía a Tebni, hijo de Ginet: y Tebni murió, y Amrí fue rey.
23 In the thirty and first year of Asa king of Judah began Omri to reign over Israel, and reigned twelve years; six years reigned he in Tirzah.
En el año treinta y uno de Asa rey de Judá, Amrí reinó sobre Israel doce años: y en Tersa reinó seis años.
24 And he bought the hill Samaria of Shemer for two talents of silver; and he built on the hill, and called the name of the city which he built, after the name of Shemer, the owner of the hill, Samaria.
Este compró el monte de Samaria de Semer por dos talentos de plata: y edificó en el monte, y llamó el nombre de la ciudad que edificó, como el nombre de Semer, señor del monte de Samaria.
25 And Omri did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, and dealt wickedly above all that were before him.
E hizo Amrí lo malo delante de los ojos de Jehová, e hizo peor que todos los que habían sido antes de él.
26 For he walked in all the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and in his sins wherewith he made Israel to sin, to provoke the LORD, the God of Israel, with their vanities.
Porque anduvo en todos los caminos de Jeroboam, hijo de Nabat, y en su pecado con que hizo pecar a Israel, provocando a ira a Jehová Dios de Israel con sus vanidades.
27 Now the rest of the acts of Omri which he did, and his might that he showed, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
Lo demás de los hechos de Amrí, y todas las cosas que hizo, y sus valentías que hizo, ¿no está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Israel?
28 And Omri slept with his fathers, and was buried in Samaria; and Ahab his son reigned in his stead.
Y Amrí durmió con sus padres, y fue sepultado en Samaria; y reinó en su lugar Acab su hijo.
29 And in the thirty and eighth year of Asa king of Judah began Ahab the son of Omri to reign over Israel; and Ahab the son of Omri reigned over Israel in Samaria twenty and two years.
Y comenzó a reinar Acab, hijo de Amrí, sobre Israel el año treinta y ocho de Asa rey de Judá.
30 And Ahab the son of Omri did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD above all that were before him.
Y reinó Acab, hijo de Amrí, sobre Israel en Samaria, veinte y dos años. Y Acab, hijo de Amrí, hizo lo malo delante de los ojos de Jehová sobre todos los que fueron antes de él.
31 And it came to pass, as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took to wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Zidonians, and went and served Baal, and worshipped him.
Porque le fue ligera cosa andar en los pecados de Jeroboam, hijo de Nabat, y tomó por mujer a Jezabel, hija de Et-baal, rey de los Sidonios: y fue, y sirvió a Baal, y le adoró.
32 And he reared up an altar for Baal in the house of Baal, which he had built in Samaria.
E hizo altar a Baal, en el templo de Baal que él edificó en Samaria.
33 And Ahab made the Asherah; and Ahab did yet more to provoke the LORD, the God of Israel, than all the kings of Israel that were before him.
Hizo también Acab bosque: y añadió Acab haciendo provocar a ira a Jehová Dios de Israel, más que todos los reyes de Israel, que fueron antes de él.
34 In his days did Hiel the Bethelite build Jericho; with Abiram his first-born he laid the foundation thereof, and with his youngest son Segub he set up the gates thereof; according to the word of the LORD, which He spoke by the hand of Joshua the son of Nun.
En su tiempo Hiel de Bet-el reedificó a Jericó. En Abiram su primogénito la fundó: y en Segub su hijo postrero puso sus puertas, conforme a la palabra de Jehová que había hablado por Josué, hijo de Nun.
