1 Chronicles 6

1 The sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

4 Eleazar begot Phinehas, Phinehas begot Abishua;

6 and Uzzi begot Zerahiah, and Zerahiah begot Meraioth;

9 and Ahimaaz begot Azariah, and Azariah begot Johanan;

10 and Johanan begot Azariah — he it is that executed the priest's office in the house that Solomon built in Jerusalem —

15 and Jehozadak went into captivity, when the LORD carried away Judah and Jerusalem by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar.

Jehotsadak se n’andò in esilio quando l’Eterno fece menare in cattività Giuda e Gerusalemme da Nebucadnetsar.

16 The sons of Levi: Gershom, Kohath and Merari.

Figliuoli di Levi: Ghershom, Kehath e Merari.

17 And these are the names of the sons of Gershom: Libni, and Shimei.

Questi sono i nomi dei figliuoli di Ghershom: Libni e Scimei.

18 And the sons of Kohath were Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel.

Figliuoli di Kehath: Amram, Jtsehar, Hebron e Uziel.

19 The sons of Merari: Mahli, and Mushi. And these are the families of the Levites according to their fathers' houses.

Figliuoli di Merari: Mahli e Musci. Queste sono le famiglie di Levi, secondo le loro case patriarcali.

20 Of Gershom: Libni his son, Jahath his son, Zimmah his son;

22 The sons of Kohath: Amminadab his son, Korah his son, Assir his son;

23 Elkanah his son, and Ebiasaph his son, and Assir his son;

che ebbe per figliuolo Elkana, che ebbe per figliuolo Ebiasaf, che ebbe per figliuolo Assir,

24 Tahath his son, Uriel his son, Uzziah his son, and Shaul his son.

che ebbe per figliuolo Tahath, che ebbe per figliuolo Uriel, che ebbe per figliuolo Uzzia, che ebbe per figliuolo Saul.

25 And the sons of Elkanah: Amasai, and Ahimoth.

Figliuoli di Elkana: Amasai ed Ahimoth,

26 As for Elkanah: the sons of Elkanah: Zophai his son, and Nahath his son;

che ebbe per figliuolo Elkana, che ebbe per figliuolo Tsofai, che ebbe per figliuolo Nahath,

27 Eliab his son, Jeroham his son, Elkanah his son.

che ebbe per figliuolo Eliab, che ebbe per figliuolo Jeroham, che ebbe per figliuolo Elkana.

28 And the sons of Samuel: the first-born Vashni; then Abiah.

Figliuoli di Samuele: Vashni, il primogenito, ed Abia.

29 The sons of Merari: Mahli; Libni his son, Shimei his son, Uzzah his son;

Figliuoli di Merari: Mahli, che ebbe per figliuolo Libni, che ebbe per figliuolo Scimei, che ebbe per figliuolo Uzza,

30 Shimea his son, Haggiah his son, Asaiah his son.

che ebbe per figliuolo Scimea, che ebbe per figliuolo Hagghia, che ebbe per figliuolo Asaia.

31 And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the LORD, after that the ark had rest.

Questi son quelli che Davide stabilì per la direzione del canto nella casa dell’Eterno, dopo che l’arca ebbe un luogo di riposo.

32 And they ministered with song before the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, until Solomon had built the house of the LORD in Jerusalem; and they took their station at their service according to their order.

Essi esercitarono il loro ufficio di cantori davanti al tabernacolo, davanti la tenda di convegno, finché Salomone ebbe edificata la casa dell’Eterno a Gerusalemme; e facevano il loro servizio, secondo la regola loro prescritta.

33 And these are they that took their station, and their sons. Of the sons of the Kohathites: Heman the singer, the son of Joel, the son of Samuel;

34 the son of Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Eliel, the son of Toah;

38 the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, the son of Israel.

39 And his brother Asaph, who stood on his right hand; even Asaph the son of Berechiah, the son of Shimea;

40 the son of Michael, the son of Baaseiah, the son of Malchijah;

44 And on the left hand their brethren the sons of Merari: Ethan the son of Kishi, the son of Abdi, the son of Malluch;

45 the son of Hashabiah, the son of Amaziah, the son of Hilkiah;

46 the son of Amzi, the son of Bani, the son of Shemer;

figliuolo d’Amtsi, figliuolo di Bani, figliuolo di Scemer,

47 the son of Mahli, the son of Mushi, the son of Merari, the son of Levi.

48 And their brethren the Levites were appointed for all the service of the tabernacle of the house of God.

49 But Aaron and his sons offered upon the altar of burnt-offering, and upon the altar of incense, for all the work of the most holy place, and to make atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.

Ma Aaronne ed i suoi figliuoli offrivano i sacrifizi sull’altare degli olocausti e l’incenso sull’altare dei profumi, compiendo tutto il servizio nel luogo santissimo, e facendo l’espiazione per Israele, secondo tutto quello che Mosè, servo di Dio, aveva ordinato.

50 And these are the sons of Aaron: Eleazar his son, Phinehas his son, Abishua his son;

Questi sono i figliuoli d’Aaronne: Eleazar, che ebbe per figliuolo Fineas, che ebbe per figliuolo Abishua,

51 Bukki his son, Uzzi his son, Zerahiah his son;

che ebbe per figliuolo Bukki, che ebbe per figliuolo Uzzi, che ebbe per figliuolo Zerahia,

52 Meraioth his son, Amariah his son, Ahitub his son;

che ebbe per figliuolo Meraioth, che ebbe per figliuolo Amaria, che ebbe per figliuolo Ahitub,

53 Zadok his son, Ahimaaz his son.

che ebbe per figliuolo Tsadok, che ebbe per figliuolo Ahimaats.

54 Now these are their dwelling-places according to their encampments in their borders: to the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites, for theirs was the first lot,

55 to them they gave Hebron in the land of Judah, and the open land round about it;

58 and Hilen with the open land about it, Debir with the open land about it;

60 and out of the tribe of Benjamin: Geba with the open land about it, and Alemeth with the open land about it, and Anathoth with the open land about it. All their cities throughout their families were thirteen cities.

61 And unto the rest of the sons of Kohath were given by lot, out of the family of the tribe, out of the half-tribe, the half of Manasseh, ten cities.

Agli altri figliuoli di Kehath toccarono a sorte dieci città delle famiglie della tribù di Efraim, della tribù di Dan e della mezza tribù di Manasse.

62 And to the sons of Gershom, according to their families, out of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.

Ai figliuoli di Ghershom, secondo le loro famiglie, toccarono tredici città, della tribù d’Issacar, della tribù di Ascer, della tribù di Neftali e della tribù di Manasse in Bashan.

63 Unto the sons of Merari were given by lot, according to their families, out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.

Ai figliuoli di Merari, secondo le loro famiglie, toccarono a sorte dodici città della tribù di Ruben, della tribù di Gad e della tribù di Zabulon.

64 So the children of Israel gave to the Levites the cities with the open land about them.

I figliuoli d’Israele dettero ai Leviti quelle città coi loro contadi;

65 And they gave by lot out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, and out of the tribe of the children of Benjamin, these cities which are mentioned by name.

dettero a sorte, della tribù dei figliuoli di Giuda, della tribù dei figliuoli di Simeone e della tribù dei figliuoli di Beniamino, le dette città che furono designate per nome.

66 And some of the families of the sons of Kohath had cities of their borders out of the tribe of Ephraim.

67 And they gave unto them the city of refuge, Shechem in the hill-country of Ephraim with the open land about it; Gezer also with the open land about it;

71 Unto the sons of Gershom were given, out of the family of the half-tribe of Manasseh, Golan in Bashan with the open land about it, and Ashtaroth with the open land about it;

Ai figliuoli di Ghershom toccarono: della famiglia della mezza tribù di Manasse, Golan in Bashan col suo contado e Ashtaroth col suo contado; della tribù d’Issacar,

72 and out of the tribe of Issachar: Kedesh with the open land about it, Dobrath with the open land about it;

73 and Ramoth with the open land about it, and Anem with the open land about it;

74 and out of the tribe of Asher: Mashal with the open land about it, and Abdon with the open land about it;

77 Unto the rest of the Levites, the sons of Merari, were given, out of the tribe of Zebulun, Rimmono with the open land about it, Tabor with the open land about it;

78 and beyond the Jordan at Jericho, on the east side of the Jordan, were given them, out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer in the wilderness with the open land about it, and Jahaz with the open land about it,

79 and Kedemoth with the open land about it, and Mephaath with the open land about it;
