1 Chronicles 29

1 And David the king said unto all the congregation: 'Solomon my son, whom alone God hath chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great; for the palace is not for man, but for the LORD God.

১রাজা দায়ূদ তারপর সমস্ত লোকের সমাবেশ কে বললেন, “আমার ছেলে শলোমনকেই ঈশ্বর বেছে নিয়েছেন; তার বয়সও বেশী নয় এবং অভিজ্ঞতাও কম। এই কাজ খুব মহৎ, কারণ এই বড় প্রাসাদটি ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর জন্য, কোনো মানুষের জন্য নয়।

2 Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for the things of gold, and the silver for the things of silver, and the brass for the things of brass, the iron for the things of iron, and wood for the things of wood; onyx stones, and stones to be set, glistering stones, and of divers colours, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance.

২আমার ক্ষমতা অনুসারে আমি আমার ঈশ্বরের ঘরের জন্য এই সব জোগাড় করে রেখেছি সোনার জিনিসের জন্য সোনা, রূপার জিনিসের জন্য রূপা, পিতলের জিনিসের জন্য পিতল, লোহার জিনিসের জন্য লোহা এবং কাঠের জিনিসের জন্য কাঠ। এছাড়া বৈদুর্যমণি, বসাবার জন্য বিভিন্ন মণি, চক্‌চকে পাথর, নানা রঙয়ের পাথর ও সমস্ত রকমের দামী পাথর রেখেছি আর অনেক মার্বেল পাথরও রেখেছি।

3 Moreover also, because I have set my affection on the house of my God, seeing that I have a treasure of mine own of gold and silver, I give it unto the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house,

৩এই পবিত্র উপাসনা ঘরের জন্য আমি যা যা জোগাড় করেছি তা ছাড়াও আমার ঈশ্বরের ঘরের প্রতি আমার ভালবাসার জন্য এখন আমি আমার নিজের সোনা ও রূপা দিচ্ছি।

4 even three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, wherewith to overlay the walls of the houses;

৪সেই ঘরের দেয়াল ঢাকবার জন্য এবং কারিগরদের সমস্ত কাজের জন্য আমি মোট একশো সতেরো টন ওফীরের সোনা ও দুইশো তিয়াত্তর টন খাঁটি রূপা দিলাম।

5 of gold for the things of gold, and of silver for the things of silver, and for all manner of work to be made by the hands of artificers. Who then offereth willingly to consecrate himself this day unto the LORD?'

৫আজ আপনারা কে কে স্ব-ইচ্ছায় হয়ে সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে নিজেকে উৎসর্গ করে দান দিতে চান?”

6 Then the princes of the fathers' houses, and the princes of the tribes of Israel, and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the rulers over the king's work, offered willingly;

৬তখন বংশের নেতারা, ইস্রায়েলীয়দের বিভিন্ন গোষ্ঠীর নেতারা, হাজার সৈন্যের ও শত সৈন্যের সেনাপতিরা ও রাজার কাজের তদারককারীরা স্ব-ইচ্ছায় হয়ে দান করলেন।

7 and they gave for the service of the house of God of gold five thousand talents and ten thousand darics, and of silver ten thousand talents, and of brass eighteen thousand talents, and of iron a hundred thousand talents.

৭ঈশ্বরের ঘরের কাজের জন্য তাঁরা একশো পঁচানব্বই টন সোনা, দশ হাজার সোনার অদর্কোন, তিনশো নব্বই টন রূপা, সাতশো দুই টন পিতল ও তিন হ্যাঁজার নয়শো টন লোহা দিলেন।

8 And they with whom precious stones were found gave them to the treasure of the house of the LORD, under the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.

৮যাঁদের কাছে দামী পাথর ছিল তাঁরা সেগুলো সদাপ্রভুর ঘরের ভান্ডারে রাখবার জন্য গের্শোনীয় যিহীয়েলের হাতে দিলেন।

9 Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with a whole heart they offered willingly to the LORD; and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.

৯তাঁরা খুশী মনে এবং খোলা হাতে সমস্ত অন্তর দিয়ে সদাপ্রভুকে দিতে পেরে আনন্দিত হলেন। রাজা দায়ূদও খুব আনন্দিত হলেন।

10 Wherefore David blessed the LORD before all the congregation; and David said: 'Blessed be Thou, O LORD, the God of Israel our father, for ever and ever.

১০দায়ূদ সমস্ত লোকের সামনে এই বলে সদাপ্রভুর গৌরব করলেন, হে সদাপ্রভু, আমাদের পূর্বপুরুষ ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর, অনাদিকাল থেকে অনন্তকাল পর্যন্ত তোমার গৌরব হোক।

11 Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty; for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is Thine; Thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and Thou art exalted as head above all.

১১হে সদাপ্রভু, মহিমা, শক্তি, জাঁকজমক, জয় আর গৌরব তোমার, কারণ স্বর্গের ও পৃথিবীর সব কিছু তোমারই। হে সদাপ্রভু, তুমিই সব কিছুর উপরে রাজত্ব করছ; তোমার জায়গা সবার উপরে।

12 Both riches and honour come of Thee, and Thou rulest over all; and in Thy hand is power and might; and in Thy hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.

১২ধন ও সম্মান আসে তোমারই কাছ থেকে; তুমিই সব কিছু শাসন করে থাক। তোমার হাতেই রয়েছে শক্তি আর ক্ষমতা; মানুষকে উন্নত করবার ও শক্তি দেবার অধিকার তোমারই।

13 Now therefore, our God, we thank Thee, and praise Thy glorious name.

১৩এখন, হে আমাদের ঈশ্বর, আমরা তোমাকে ধন্যবাদ দিই, তোমার গৌরবময় নামের প্রশংসা করি।

14 But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of Thee, and of Thine own have we given Thee.

১৪কিন্তু হে সদাপ্রভু, আমি কে আর আমার লোকেরাই বা কারা যে, আমরা এই ভাবে খুশী হয়ে নিজের ইচ্ছায় দিতে পারি? সব কিছুই তো তোমার কাছ থেকে আসে। তোমার হাত থেকে যা পেয়েছি আমরা কেবল তোমাকে তাই দিয়েছি।

15 For we are strangers before Thee, and sojourners, as all our fathers were: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is no abiding.

১৫আমরা তোমার চোখে আমাদের সমস্ত পূর্বপুরুষদের মতই পরদেশী বাসিন্দা। পৃথিবীতে আমাদের দিন গুলো ছায়ার মত, আমাদের কোনো আশা নেই।

16 O LORD our God, all this store that we have prepared to build Thee a house for Thy holy name cometh of Thy hand, and is all Thine own.

১৬হে আমাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু, তোমার পবিত্র নামের উদ্দেশ্যে একটা ঘর তৈরীর জন্য এই যে প্রচুর জিনিসের আয়োজন আমরা করেছি তা তোমার কাছ থেকেই এসেছে এবং এর সব কিছুই তোমার।

17 I know also, my God, that Thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things; and now have I seen with joy Thy people, that are present here, offer willingly unto Thee.

১৭হে আমার ঈশ্বর, আমি জানি যে, তুমি অন্তরের পরীক্ষা করে থাক এবং সততায় খুশী হও। এই সব জিনিস আমি খুশী হয়ে এবং অন্তরের সততায় দিয়েছি। আর এখন আমি দেখে আনন্দিত হলাম যে, তোমার লোকেরা যারা এখানে আছে তারাও কেমন খুশী হয়ে তোমাকে দিয়েছে।

18 O LORD, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this for ever, even the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of Thy people, and direct their heart unto Thee;

১৮হে সদাপ্রভু, আমাদের পূর্বপুরুষ অব্রাহাম, ইসহাক ও ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর, তোমার লোকদের অন্তরে এই রকম ইচ্ছা তুমি চিরকাল রাখ এবং তোমার প্রতি তাদের হৃদয় বিশ্বস্ত রাখ।

19 and give unto Solomon my son a whole heart, to keep Thy commandments, Thy testimonies, and Thy statutes, and to do all these things, and to build the palace, for which I have made, provision.'

১৯আমার ছেলে শলোমনকে এমন স্থির অন্তর দান কর যাতে সে তোমার আদেশ, তোমার বাক্য ও তোমার নিয়ম পালন করতে পারে এবং আমি যে প্রাসাদ তৈরীর আয়োজন করেছি তা তৈরী করতে পারে।

20 And David said to all the congregation: 'Now bless the LORD your God.' And all the congregation blessed the LORD, the God of their fathers, and bowed down their heads, and prostrated themselves before the LORD, and before the king.

২০পরে দায়ূদ সমস্ত লোকদের বললেন, “আপনারা আপনাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর গৌরব করুন।” তখন তারা সবাই তাদের পূর্বপুরুষদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর গৌরব করল এবং সদাপ্রভু ও রাজার উদ্দেশ্যে উপুড় হয়ে প্রণাম জানাল।

21 And they sacrificed sacrifices unto the LORD, and offered burnt-offerings unto the LORD, on the morrow after that day, even a thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, with their drink-offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel;

২১পরের দিন তারা সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে পশু উৎসর্গ এবং হোমবলির অনুষ্ঠান করল। সমস্ত ইস্রায়েলীয়দের জন্য তারা এক হাজার ষাঁড়, এক হাজার ভেড়া ও এক হাজার ভেড়ার বাচ্চা উৎসর্গ করল এবং প্রত্যেকটির সঙ্গে নিয়মিত পানীয় উৎসর্গ করল এবং প্রচুর পশু দিয়ে অন্যান্য উৎসর্গের অনুষ্ঠান করল।

22 and did eat and drink before the LORD on that day with great gladness. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and anointed him unto the LORD to be prince, and Zadok to be priest.

২২সেই দিন তারা সদাপ্রভুর সামনে খুব আনন্দের সঙ্গে খাওয়া দাওয়া করল। তারা দায়ূদের ছেলে শলোমনকে এই দ্বিতীয় বার রাজা করল এবং তাঁকে রাজা ও সাদোককে যাজককে হিসাবে সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে অভিষেক করল।

23 Then Solomon sat on the throne of the LORD as king instead of David his father, and prospered; and all Israel hearkened to him.

২৩তখন শলোমন তাঁর বাবা দায়ূদের জায়গায় রাজা হিসাবে সদাপ্রভুর সিংহাসনে বসলেন। তিনি সব বিষয়ে সফলতা লাভ করলেন এবং সমস্ত ইস্রায়েল তাঁর কথামত চলত।

24 And all the princes, and the mighty men, and all the sons likewise of king David, submitted themselves unto Solomon the king.

২৪সমস্ত নেতারা ও সৈন্যেরা এবং রাজা দায়ূদের অন্য সব ছেলেরা রাজা শলোমনের অধীনতা স্বীকার করলেন।

25 And the LORD magnified Solomon exceedingly in the sight of all Israel, and bestowed upon him such royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel.

২৫সদাপ্রভু সমস্ত ইস্রায়েলের চোখে শলোমনকে খুব মহান করলেন এবং তাঁকে এমন রাজকীয় গৌরব দান করলেন যা এর আগে ইস্রায়েলের কোনো রাজাই পাননি।

26 Now David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel.

২৬যিশয়ের ছেলে দায়ূদ সমস্ত ইস্রায়েলের উপরে রাজত্ব করেছিলেন

27 And the time that he reigned over Israel was forty years: seven years reigned he in Hebron, and thirty and three years reigned he in Jerusalem.

২৭তিনি চল্লিশ বছর রাজত্ব করেছিলেন সাত বছর হিব্রোণে এবং তেত্রিশ বছর যিরূশালেমে।

28 And he died in a good old age, full of days, riches, and honour; and Solomon his son reigned in his stead.

২৮তিনি অনেক বছর বেঁচে থেকে ধন ও সম্মান লাভ করে খুব বুড়ো বয়সে মারা গেলেন। তাঁর ছেলে শলোমন তাঁর জায়গায় রাজা হলেন।

29 Now the acts of David the king, first and last, behold, they are written in the words of Samuel the seer, and in the words of Nathan the prophet, and in the words of Gad the seer;

২৯ভাববাদী শমূয়েলের, ভাববাদী নাথনের ও ভাববাদী গাদের ইতিহাস বইয়ে রাজা দায়ূদের রাজত্বের সমস্ত কথা শুরু থেকে শেষ পর্যন্ত লেখা রয়েছে।

30 with all his reign and his might, and the times that went over him, and over Israel, and over all the kingdoms of the countries.

৩০তাঁর রাজত্বের খুঁটিনাটি ও ক্ষমতার কথা এবং তাঁকে নিয়ে, ইস্রায়েলকে নিয়ে আর অন্যান্য দেশের সব রাজ্যগুলোকে নিয়ে যে সব ঘটনা ঘটেছিল সেই সব কথাও সেখানে লেখা রয়েছে।
