1 Chronicles 26
1 For the courses of the doorkeepers: of the Korahites: Meshelemiah the son of Kore, of the sons of Asaph.
門を守る者の組は次のとおりである。すなわちコラびとのうちでは、アサフの子孫のうちのコレの子メシレミヤ。
2 And Meshelemiah had sons: Zechariah the first-born, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel the fourth;
メシレミヤの子たちは、長子はゼカリヤ、次はエデアエル、第三はゼバデヤ、第四はヤテニエル、
3 Elam the fifth, Jehohanan the sixth, Eliehoenai the seventh.
第五はエラム、第六はヨハナン、第七はエリヨエナイである。
4 And Obed-edom had sons: Shemaiah the first-born, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, and Sacar the fourth, and Nethanel the fifth;
オベデ・エドムの子たちは、長子はシマヤ、次はヨザバデ、第三はヨア、第四はサカル、第五はネタネル、
5 Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Peullethai the eighth; for God blessed him.
第六はアンミエル、第七はイッサカル、第八はピウレタイである。神が彼を祝福されたからである。
6 Also unto Shemaiah his son were sons born, that ruled over the house of their father; for they were mighty men of valour.
彼の子シマヤにも数人の子が生れ、有能な人々であったので、その父の家を治める者となった。
7 The sons of Shemaiah: Othni, and Rephael and Obed and Elzabad his brethren, valiant men; Elihu also, and Semachiah.
すなわちシマヤの子たちはオテニ、レパエル、オベデ、エルザバデで、エルザバデの兄弟エリウとセマキヤは力ある人々であった。
8 All these were of the sons of Obed-edom: they and their sons and their brethren, able men in strength for the service; threescore and two of Obed-edom.
これらは皆オベデ・エドムの子孫である。彼らはその子たちおよびその兄弟たちと共にその勤めに適した力ある人々で、合わせて六十二人、みなオベデ・エドムに属する者である。
9 And Meshelemiah had sons and brethren, valiant men, eighteen.
メシレミヤにも子たちと兄弟たち合わせて十八人あって、皆力ある人々であった。
10 Also Hosah, of the children of Merari, had sons: Shimri the chief — for though he was not the firstborn, yet his father made him chief —
メラリの子孫ホサにも子たちがあった。そのかしらはシムリ、これは長子ではなかったが、父はこれをかしらにしたのであった。
11 Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, Zechariah the fourth; all the sons and brethren of Hosah were thirteen.
次はヒルキヤ、第三はテバリヤ、第四はゼカリヤである。ホサの子たちと兄弟たちは合わせて十三人である。
12 These courses of the doorkeepers, even the chief men, had wards over against their brethren, to minister in the house of the LORD.
これらは門を守る者の組の長たる人々であって、その兄弟たちと同様に務をなして、主の宮に仕えた。
13 And they cast lots, as well the small as the great, according to their fathers' houses, for every gate.
彼らはそれぞれ門のために小なる者も、大なる者も等しく、その氏族にしたがってくじを引いた。
14 And the lot eastward fell to Shelemiah. Then for Zechariah his son, a discreet counsellor, they cast lots; and his lot came out northward.
東の門のくじはシレミヤに当った。また彼の子で思慮深い議士ゼカリヤのためにくじを引いたが、北の門のくじがこれに当った。
15 To Obed-edom southward; and to his sons the Storehouse.
オベデ・エドムには南の門のくじ、その子たちには倉のくじ、
16 To Shuppim and Hosah westward, by the gate of Shallecheth, at the causeway that goeth up, ward against ward.
シュパムとホサには西の門のくじが当った。これは坂の大路にあるシャレケテの門のかたわらにあった。守る者と守る者とが相対していた。
17 Eastward were six Levites, northward four a day, southward four a day, and for the Storehouse two and two.
東の方には毎日六人、北の方には毎日四人、南の方には毎日四人、倉には二人と二人、
18 For the Precinct westward, four at the causeway, and two at the Precinct.
西の方パルバルには大路に四人、パルバルに二人。
19 These were the courses of the doorkeepers; of the sons of the Korahites, and of the sons of Merari.
門を守る者の組は以上のとおりで、コラの子孫とメラリの子孫であった。
20 And of the Levites, Ahijah was over the treasuries of the house of God, and over the treasuries of the hallowed things.
レビびとのうちアヒヤは神の宮の倉および聖なる物の倉をつかさどった。
21 The sons of Ladan, the sons of the Gershonites belonging to Ladan, the heads of the fathers' houses belonging to Ladan the Gershonite: Jehieli.
ラダンの子孫すなわちラダンから出たゲルションびとの子孫で、ゲルションびとの氏族の長はエヒエリである。
22 The sons of Jehieli: Zetham, and Joel his brother, over the treasuries of the house of the LORD.
エヒエリ、ゼタムおよびその兄弟ヨエルの子たちは主の宮の倉をつかさどった。
23 Of the Amramites, of the Izharites, of the Hebronites, of the Uzzielites;
アムラムびと、イヅハルびと、ヘブロンびと、ウジエルびとのうちでは次のとおりであった。
24 Shebuel the son of Gershom, the son of Moses, was ruler over the treasuries.
すなわちモーセの子ゲルショムの子シブエルは倉のつかさであった。
25 And his brethren by Eliezer: Rehabiah his son, and Jeshaiah his son, and Joram his son, and Zichri his son, and Shelomith his son.
その兄弟でエリエゼルから出た者は、その子はレハビヤ、その子はエサヤ、その子はヨラム、その子はジクリ、その子はシロミテである。
26 This Shelomith and his brethren were over all the treasuries of the dedicated things, which David the king, and the heads of the fathers' houses, the captains over thousands and hundreds, and the captains of the host, had dedicated.
このシロミテとその兄弟たちはすべての聖なる物の倉をつかさどった。これはダビデ王と、氏族の長と、千人の長と、百人の長と、軍の長たちのささげたものである。
27 Out of the spoil won in battles did they dedicate to repair the house of the LORD.
すなわち彼らが戦いで獲たぶんどり物のうちから主の宮の修繕のためにささげたものである。
28 And all that Samuel the seer, and Saul the son of Kish, and Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah, had dedicated; whosoever had dedicated any thing, it was under the hand of Shelomith, and of his brethren.
またすべて先見者サムエル、キシの子サウル、ネルの子アブネル、ゼルヤの子ヨアブなどがささげた物。すべてこれらのささげ物はシロミテとその兄弟たちが管理した。
29 Of the Izharites, Chenaniah and his sorts were for the outward business over Israel, for officers and judges.
イヅハルびとのうちでは、ケナニヤとその子たちが、つかさおよびさばきびととしてイスラエルの外事のために選ばれた。
30 Of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his brethren, men of valour, a thousand and seven hundred, had the oversight of Israel beyond the Jordan westward; for all the business of the LORD, and for the service of the king.
ヘブロンびとのうちでは、ハシャビヤおよびその兄弟など勇士千七百人があって、ヨルダンのこなた、すなわち西の方でイスラエルの監督となり、主のすべての事を行い、王に奉仕した。
31 Of the Hebronites was Jerijah the chief, even of the Hebronites, according to their generations by fathers' houses. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were sought for, and there were found among them mighty men of valour at Jazer of Gilead.
ヘブロンびとのうちでは、系図と氏族によってエリヤがヘブロンびとの長であったが、ダビデの治世の第四十年に彼らを尋ね求め、ギレアデのヤゼルで彼らのうちから大勇士を得た。
32 And his brethren, men of valour, were two thousand and seven hundred, heads of fathers' houses, whom king David made overseers over the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half-tribe of the Manassites, for every matter pertaining to God, and for the affairs of the king.
ダビデ王は彼とその兄弟など氏族の長たち二千七百人の勇士をルベンびと、ガドびと、マナセびとの半部族の監督となし、すべて神につける事と王の事とをつかさどらせた。
