1 Chronicles 17

1 And it came to pass, when David dwelt in his house, that David said to Nathan the prophet: 'Lo, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of the covenant of the LORD dwelleth under curtains.'

۱ و واقع شد چون داود در خانه خود نشسته بود که داود به ناتان نبي گفت: « اينک من خانه سرو آزاد ساکن مي باشم و تابوت عهد خداوند زير پرده ها است.»

2 And Nathan said unto David: 'Do all that is in thy heart; for God is with thee.'

۲ ناتان به داود گفت: « هر آنچه در دلت باشد به عمل آور زيرا خدا با تو است.»

3 And it came to pass the same night, that the word of God came to Nathan, saying:

۳ و در آن شب واقع شد که کلام خدا به ناتان نازل شده،گفت:

4 'Go and tell David My servant: Thus saith the LORD: Thou shalt not build Me a house to dwell in;

۴ « برو و به بنده من داود بگو خداوند چنين مي فرمايد: تو خانه اي براي سکونت من بنا نخواهي کرد.

5 for I have not dwelt in a house since the day that I brought up Israel, unto this day; but have gone from tent to tent, and from one tabernacle to another.

۵ زيرا از روزي که بني اسرائيل را بيرون آوردم تا امروز در خانه ساکن نشده ام بلکه از خيمه به خيمه و مسکن به مسکن گردش کرده ام.

6 In all places wherein I have walked among all Israel, spoke I a word with any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to feed My people, saying: Why have ye not built Me a house of cedar?

۶ و به هر جايي که با تمامي اسرائيل گردش کرده ام، آيا به احدي از داوران اسرائيل که براي رعايت قوم خود مأمور داشتم، سخني گفتم که چرا خانه اي از سرو آزاد براي من بنا نکرديد؟

7 Now therefore thus shalt thou say unto My servant David: Thus saith the LORD of hosts: I took thee from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, that thou shouldest be prince over My people Israel;

۷ و حال به بنده من داود چنين بگو: يهُوَه صبايوت چنين مي فرمايد: من تو را از چراگاه از عقب گوسفندان گرفتم تا پيشواي قوم من اسرائيل باشي.

8 and I have been with thee whithersoever thou wentest, and have cut off all thine enemies from before thee; and I will make thee a name, like unto the name of the great ones that are in the earth.

۸ و هر جايي که مي رفتي، من با تو مي بودم و جميع دشمنانت را از حضور تو منقطع ساختم و براي تو اسمي مثل اسم بزرگاني که بر زمين اند پيدا کردم.

9 And I will appoint a place for My people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in their own place, and be disquieted no more; neither shall the children of wickedness waste them any more, as at the first,

۹ و به جهت قوم خود اسرائيل مکاني تعيين نمودم و ايشان را غرس کردم تا در مکان خويش ساکن شده، باز متحرک نشوند، و شريران ايشان را ديگر مثل سابق ذليل نسازند.

10 even from the day that I commanded judges to be over My people Israel; and I will subdue all thine enemies. Moreover I tell thee that the LORD will build thee a house.

۱۰ و از ايامي که داوران را بر قوم خود اسرائيل تعيين نمودم و تمامي دشمنانت را مغلوب ساختم، تو را خبر مي دادم که خداوند خانه اي براي تو بنا خواهد نمود.

11 And it shall come to pass, when thy days are fulfilled that thou must go to be with thy fathers, that I will set up thy seed after thee, who shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom.

۱۱ و چون روزهاي عمر تو تمام شود که نزد پدران خود رحلت کني، آنگاه ذريت تو را که پسران تو خواهد بود، بعد از تو خواهم برانگيخت و سلطنت او را پايدار خواهم نمود.

12 He shall build Me a house, and I will establish his throne for ever.

۱۲ او خانه اي براي من بنا خواهد کرد و من کرسي او را تا به ابد استوار خواهم ساخت.

13 I will be to him for a father, and he shall be to Me for a son; and I will not take My mercy away from him, as I took it from him that was before thee;

۱۳ من او را پدر خواهم بود و او مرا پسر خواهد بود و رحمت خود را از او دور نخواهم کرد چنانکه آن را از کسي که قبل از تو بود دور کردم.

14 but I will settle him in My house and in My kingdom for ever; and his throne shall be established for ever.'

۱۴ و او را در خانه و سلطنت خودم تا به ابد پايدار خواهم ساخت و کرسي او استوار خواهد ماند تا ابدالآباد.»

15 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.

۱۵ بر حسب تمامي اين کلمات و مطابق تمامي اين رؤيا ناتان به داود تکلم نمود.

16 Then David the king went in, and sat before the LORD; and he said: 'Who am I, O LORD God, and what is my house, that Thou hast brought me thus far?

۱۶ و داود پادشاه داخل شده، به حضور خداوند نشست و گفت: « اي يهُوَه خدا، من کيستم و خاندان من چيست که مرا به اين مقام رسانيدي؟

17 And this was a small thing in Thine eyes, O God; but Thou hast spoken of Thy servant's house for a great while to come, and hast regarded me after the manner of a man of high degree, O LORD God.

۱۷ و اين نيز در نظر تو اي خدا امر قليل نمود زيرا که درباره خانه بنده ات نيز براي زمان طويل تکلم نمودي و مرا اي يهُوَه خدا، مثل مرد بلند مرتبه منظور داشتي.

18 What can David say yet more unto Thee concerning the honour which is done to Thy servant? for Thou knowest Thy servant.

۱۸ و داود ديگر درباره اکرامي که به بنده خود کردي، نزد تو چه تواند افزود زيرا که تو بنده خود را مي شناسي.

19 O LORD, for Thy servant's sake, and according to Thine own heart, hast Thou wrought all this greatness, to make known all these great things.

۱۹ اي خداوند، به خاطر بنده خود و موافق دل خويش جميع اين کارهاي عظيم را به جا آوردي تا تمامي اين عظمت را ظاهر سازي.

20 O LORD, there is none like Thee, neither is there any God beside Thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

۲۰ اي يهُوَه مثل تو کسي نيست و غير از تو خدايي ني. موافق هر آنچه به گوشهاي خود شنيديم،

21 And who is like Thy people Israel, a nation one in the earth, whom God went to redeem unto Himself for a people, to make Thee a name by great and tremendous things, in driving out nations from before Thy people, whom Thou didst redeem out of Egypt.

۲۱ و مثل قوم تو اسرائيل کدام امتي بر روي زمين است که خدا بيايد تا ايشان را فديه داده، براي خويش قوم بسازد، و به کارهاي عظيم و مهيب اسمي براي خود پيدا نمايي و امّت ها را از حضور قوم خود که ايشان را از مصر فديه دادي، اخراج نمايي.

22 For Thy people Israel didst Thou make Thine own people for ever; and Thou, LORD, becamest their God.

۲۲ و قوم خود اسرائيل را براي خويش تا به ابد قوم ساختني و تو اي يهُوَه خداي ايشان شدي.

23 And now, O LORD, let the word that Thou hast spoken concerning Thy servant, and concerning his house, be established for ever, and do as Thou hast spoken.

۲۳ « و الآن اي خداوند کلامي که درباره بنده ات و خانه اش گفتي تا به ابد استوار شود و بر حسب آنچه گفتي عمل نما.

24 Yea, let it be established, and let Thy name be magnified for ever, that it may be said: The LORD of hosts is the God of Israel, even a God to Israel; and the house of David Thy servant shall be established before Thee.

۲۴ و اسم تو تا به ابد استوار و معظم بماند تا گفته شود که يهُوَه صبايوت خداي اسرائيل خداي اسرائيل است و خاندان بنده ات داود به حضور تو پايدار بماند.

25 For Thou, O my God, hast revealed to Thy servant that Thou wilt build him a house; therefore hath Thy servant taken heart to pray before Thee.

۲۵ زيرا تو اي خداي من بر بنده خود کشف نمودي که خانه اي برايش بنا خواهي نمود؛ بنابراين بنده ات جرأت کرده است که اين دعا را نزد تو بگويد.

26 And now, O LORD, Thou alone art God, and hast promised this good thing unto Thy servant;

۲۶ و الآن اي يهُوَه، تو خدا هستي و اين احسان را به بنده خود وعده دادي.

27 and now it hath pleased Thee to bless the house of Thy servant, that it may continue for ever before Thee; for Thou, O LORD, hast blessed, and so let Thy servant be blessed for ever.'

۲۷ و الآن تو را پسند آمد که خانه بنده خود را برکت دهي تا در حضور تو تا به ابد بماند زيرا که تو اي خداوند برکت داده اي و مبارک خواهد بود تا ابدالآباد.»
