1 Chronicles 14
1 And Huram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and cedar-trees, and masons, and carpenters, to build him a house.
Kisha Hiramu mfalme wa Tire alituma wajumbe kwa Daudi, na miti ya mierezi, maseremala, na wajenzi. Walijenga nyumba kwa ajili yake.
2 And David perceived that the LORD had established him king over Israel, for his kingdom was exalted exceedingly, for His people Israel's sake.
Daudi alijua kuwa Yahweh alimfanya kuwa mfalme juu ya Waisraeli, na hivyo ufalme wake ulitukuzwa juu sana kwa ajili ya watu wa Israeli
3 And David took more wives at Jerusalem; and David begot more sons and daughters.
Ndani ya Yerusalemu, Daudi aliongeza wake, na akawa baba wa wana wengi na mabinti.
4 And these are the names of the children whom he had in Jerusalem: Shammua, and Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon;
Haya yalikuwa majina ya watoto waliozaliwa nae huko yerusalemu: Shammua, Shobabu, nathani, Solimoni,
5 and Ibhar, and Elishua, and Elpelet;
Ibhari, Elishama, Elpeleti,
6 and Nogah, and Nepheg, and Japhia;
Noga, Nefegi, Jafia,
7 and Elishama, and Beeliada, and Eliphelet.
Elishama, Beliada, na Elifeleti.
8 And when the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David; and David heard of it, and went out to meet them.
Sasa tangu Wafilisti waliposikia Daudi amepakwa mafuta kama mfalme juu ya Waisraeli, wote walitoka nje kwenda kumtafuta. Lakini Daudi alisikia kuhusu hilo nae akaenda nje kinyume nao.
9 Now the Philistines had come and made a raid in the valley of Rephaim.
Sasa wafilisti walikuja na kufanya shambulio katika bonde la Refaimu.
10 And David inquired of God, saying: 'Shall I go up against the Philistines? and wilt Thou deliver them into my hand?' And the LORD said unto him: 'Go up; for I will deliver them into thy hand.'
Kisha Daudi akaomba msaada kwa Mungu. Akasema, “Je niwashambulie Wafilisti? Utanipa ushindi juu yao?” Yahweh akamwambia, “Shambulia, kwa uhakika nitawakabidhi kwako.”
11 So they came up to Baal-perazim, and David smote them there; and David said: 'God hath broken mine enemies by my hand, like the breach of waters.' Therefore they called the name of that place Baal-perazim.
Kwa hivyo wakaja Baali Perazimu na akawashinda. Akasema, “Yahweh kapasua maadui zangu kwa mkono wangu kama vile mpasuko wa mafuriko ya maji.” Hivyo jina la sehemu ile likawa Baali Perazimu.
12 And they left their gods there; and David gave commandment, and they were burned with fire.
Wafilisti walitelekeza miungu yao pale, na Daudi akatoa amri wateketezwe kwa moto.
13 And the Philistines yet again made a raid in the valley.
Kisha Wafilisti wakavamia kwa mara nyingine tena.
14 And David inquired again of God; and God said unto him: 'Thou shalt not go up after them; turn away from them, and come upon them over against the mulberry-trees.
Hivyo Daudi akaomba msaada kwa Mungu tena. Mungu akamwambia, “Usiwashambulie kwa mbele, lakini wazunguke kwa nyuma yao na uwajie kupitia misitu ya balisamu.
15 And it shall be, when thou hearest the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry-trees, that then thou shalt go out to battle; for God is gone out before thee to smite the host of the Philistines.'
Utakaposikia sauti ya wanajeshi wanatembea kwenye upepo uvumao kutoka juu ya miti ya balisamu, kisha shambulia kwa nguvu. Fanya hivyo kwasababu Mungu atakutangulia kwenda kuwashambulia majeshi ya wafilisti.”
16 And David did as God commanded him; and they smote the host of the Philistines from Gibeon even to Gezer.
Hivyo Daudi alifanya kama Mungu alivyo muamuru. Aliwashinda jeshi la Wafilisti kutoka Gibeoni mpaka Gezeri.
17 And the fame of David went out into all lands; and the LORD brought the fear of him upon all nations.
Kisha umaarufu wa Daudi ukaenda katika nchi zote, na Yahweh akasababisha mataifa yote kumuhofia.
