Romans 2
1 THEREFORE thou art inexcusable, O man, even every one that judgeth: for in the very thing wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest art living in the practices of the same things.
Rumal riꞌ at, at xapachinaq man kuya taj kabꞌij chi man awetaꞌm taj ri kabꞌano are kaqꞌat tzij pa kiwiꞌ nikꞌaj chik, jeriꞌ rumal are kaqꞌat tzij pa kiwiꞌ nikꞌaj chik, kaqꞌat xuqujeꞌ tzij paꞌwiꞌ at, rumal je katnoꞌjinik jetaq ri kenoꞌjin aꞌreꞌ.
2 But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth, against those who practise such things.
Kamik qetaꞌm chi ri uqꞌatoj tzij ri Dios qas sukꞌ ubꞌanik pa kiwiꞌ ri kakibꞌan etzelal.
3 For thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest those who do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?
¿Teꞌq pa akꞌuꞌx chi katwinik katanimaj cho ri uqꞌatoj tzij ri Dios, at ri kaqꞌat tzij pa kiwiꞌ nikꞌaj chik, kabꞌan xuqu ya awe ri etzelal ri kakibꞌan aꞌreꞌ?
4 Or despisest thou the riches of his kindness and patience and long-suffering, ignorant that this goodness of God is leading thee to repentance?
¿La man kawilo chi kawetzelaj ri utzilal re ri uqꞌinomal ri Dios, xuqujeꞌ ri rutzil ukꞌuꞌx xuqujeꞌ ri kochꞌonik? ¿La man kachomaj chi are karaj katukꞌam apanoq rech kakꞌex akꞌuꞌx?
5 But after thy obdurate and impenitent heart treasurest up for thyself wrath at the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God,
Rumal ri ukowil ri awanimaꞌ ri man karaj taj kukꞌex ribꞌ, xaq xwi kamulij oyawal paꞌwiꞌ pa ri qꞌij are kukꞌut ribꞌ ri sukꞌalaj uqꞌatoj tzij ri Dios.
6 who will recompense to every man according to his works;
Jeriꞌ rumal ri Dios kutoj na chkijujunal ri taqalik kakikꞌamawaꞌj cho ri kichak.
7 to those who, in the patient practice of good works, seek glory and honour and immortality―eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
Ri Dios kuya na jun alik kꞌaslemal chike ri winaq ri are tajin kakibꞌan utz taq chak, kakitzukuj juluwem, kakitzukuj chi nim kiꞌlik, xuqujeꞌ kakitzukuj kꞌaslemal. (aiōnios g166)
8 But to those who are of a contentious spirit, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation, and wrath;
Are kꞌu ri winaq ri kakibꞌan nimal, ri kakilij ubꞌanik ri etzelal, kaqꞌat na tzij pa kiwiꞌ rukꞌ kꞌaxal rumal ri Dios.
9 tribulation and anguish upon every soul of man that doeth wickedness, of the Jew first, and also of the Greek.
Kape na bꞌis xuqujeꞌ kꞌaxal pa kiwiꞌ ri winaq ri kakibꞌan etzelal, nabꞌe kape pa kiwiꞌ ri winaq aꞌj Israel, kꞌa te riꞌ pa kiwiꞌ ri man aꞌj Israel taj.
10 But glory and honour and peace be to every man who doeth that which is good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek:
Are kꞌu ri winaq ri kakibꞌan utzilal, kayaꞌtaj na kiqiꞌj, kanimarisax na, xuqujeꞌ kayaꞌtaj na jaꞌmaril chike, nabꞌe na ri winaq aꞌj Israel, kꞌa te riꞌ ri man aꞌj Israel taj.
11 for there is no acceptance of persons with God.

12 For as many as have sinned without the law, shall perish also without the law: and as many as have sinned under the law shall be judged by the law;
Kojonel ri e makuninaq ri man ketaꞌm taj uwach ri taqanik, kasach na kiwach man chuxeꞌ taj ri taqanik; are kꞌu ri ketaꞌm ri taqanik, kꞌa te riꞌ xemakunik kaqꞌat na tzij pa kiwiꞌ jetaq ri kubꞌij ri taqanik.
13 for the hearers of the law are not righteous before God, but the doers of the law shall be counted righteous;
Je kꞌu riꞌ rumal che ri Dios man are ta kubꞌij sukꞌ chike ri xaq xwi kakitatabꞌej ri kubꞌij ri taqanik xane are e sukꞌ ri kakibꞌan ri kubꞌij ri taqanik.
14 (for when the Gentiles, who have not the law naturally, do the things of the law, these, though not having the law, are a law unto themselves:
Jeriꞌ rumal cher ri winaq ri man aꞌj Israel taj ri maj ri taqanik ri tzꞌibꞌatalik kukꞌ, kakibꞌan ri kubꞌij ri taqanik, pune maj kitaqanik, areꞌ e taqanik chibꞌil kibꞌ.
15 which exhibit the practice of the law written on their hearts, their conscience also bearing its testimony, and their mutual reasonings at intervals bringing accusations or forming excuses; )
Rukꞌ waꞌ riꞌ kakikꞌutu chi pa kanimaꞌ tzꞌibꞌatal wi ri kutoqꞌij ri taqanik, xuqujeꞌ ri kichomabꞌal kuqꞌalajisaj chi jeriꞌ, rumal kꞌo jujun mul ri kichomabꞌal kuꞌtzujuj xuqujeꞌ jujun mul chik kuꞌtoꞌo.
16 in the day when God shall judge the hidden things of men, according to my gospel by Jesus Christ.
Jeriꞌ kakꞌulmataj na pa ri qꞌij are kuqꞌat na tzij ri Dios pa Jesucristo, pa kiwiꞌ ri jastaq ri xaq chaꞌwal ubꞌanom ri winaq, jeriꞌ kubꞌij ri utz laj tzij.
17 Lo! thou art named a Jew, and restest on the law, and boastest in God,
Ri at kꞌut ri kabꞌij chi at aj Israel, chi are ri taqanik kattoꞌwik xuqujeꞌ kanimarisaj awibꞌ rumal cher kꞌo ariqoj ibꞌ rukꞌ ri Dios,
18 and knowest the will of God, and bringest to the test the things that are different, being instructed out of the law;
awetaꞌm ri urayibꞌal ukꞌuꞌx ri Dios xuqujeꞌ kachꞌobꞌo jachike ri qas utz ubꞌanik jeriꞌ rumal cher at pixibꞌatal rukꞌ ri taqanik,
19 and hast confidence that thou thyself art a leader of the blind, a light of those who are in darkness,
kabꞌij chi awetaꞌm, chi at kꞌamal bꞌe kech ri e moyabꞌ xuqujeꞌ at kitunal ri e kꞌo pa ri qꞌequꞌmal.
20 an instructor of the uninformed, a teacher of babes, holding the form of knowledge and of truth in the law.
Kabꞌij chi at yoꞌl kꞌutuꞌn chikiwach ri maj ketaꞌm, ajtij kech akꞌalabꞌ, awetaꞌm pa ri taqanik ri etaꞌmabꞌal xuqujeꞌ ri qas tzij.
21 Thou therefore who teachest another, dost thou not teach thyself? thou that proclaimest aloud that a man should not steal, dost thou steal?
At ri kaya kꞌutuꞌn chike nikꞌaj chik ¿jas che man kaya ta kꞌutuꞌn chibꞌil awibꞌ? Kabꞌij chi man utz taj kabꞌan elaqꞌ ¿jas kꞌu che katelaqꞌik?
22 thou that sayest, Do not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that holdest idols in abomination, dost thou commit sacrilege?
At ri kabꞌij chi man utz taj kuꞌtzukuj kebꞌ rachajil ri ixoq o kebꞌ rixoqil ri achi, ¿kꞌa te riꞌ je kabꞌan at? At ri kaꞌwetzelaj ri e bꞌanom taq dios ri keqꞌijilaꞌxik, ¿kꞌa te riꞌ katelaqꞌ loq pa taq ri templos ri keqꞌijilaꞌx wi?
23 thou who gloriest in the law, dishonourest thou God by the transgression of the law?
At ri kabꞌan nimal rumal cher awetaꞌm ri taqanik, ¿kꞌa te riꞌ kaya pa ukꞌixibꞌal ri Dios rumal man kanimaj taj ri taqanik?
24 for the name of God is blasphemed through you among the heathen, as it is written.
Ri tzꞌibꞌatalik kubꞌij: Iwumal iwe kabꞌix awas taq tzij che ri Dios kumal ri winaq ri man aꞌj Israel taj.
25 For circumcision indeed is advantageous, if thou practise the law: but if thou art a transgressor of the law, thy circumcision becomes uncircumcision,
Ri circuncisión kꞌo kutayij we are kawilij unimaxik ri taqanik, are kꞌu we man kanimaj, at junam kukꞌ ri man kojtal ta ketal.
26 If then the uncircumcision observe the righteous judgments of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be accounted for circumcision?
We ri winaq ri man aꞌj Israel taj kakibꞌan ri kubꞌij ri taqanik, ¿la man kꞌu kabꞌix riꞌ chike chi okisatal xuqujeꞌ ketal aꞌreꞌ rumal ri kakibꞌano?
27 And the uncircumcision by nature which fulfilleth the law shall condemn thee, who through the letter and circumcision art a transgressor of the law.
Ri man sakꞌital taj, kunimaj kꞌu ri taqanik, kuqꞌat na tzij paꞌwiꞌ at, jeriꞌ rumal kꞌo ri taqanik tzꞌibꞌatalik awukꞌ xuqujeꞌ okisatal awetal, kꞌa te riꞌ kaqꞌipij qaj ri taqanik.
28 For not he who is outwardly such, is the Jew; neither is that which is outward in the flesh, circumcision.
Man are ta ri kilitajik kabꞌanow che jun chi aj Israel, xuqujeꞌ man are ta ri kukoj retal jun pa ri utyoꞌjal.
29 But he is a Jew who is such inwardly; and circumcision is of the heart, in spirit, not in letter; whose praise is not from men, but from God.
Pa ranimaꞌ kunaꞌ wi jun we aj Israel, ri etal rech ri animaꞌaj, are ri Uxlabꞌixel kabꞌanowik, man are taj ri taqanik ri tzꞌibꞌatalik bꞌanowinaq. Ri winaq aj Israel ri jeriꞌ kanoꞌjinik, kaya na uqꞌij rumal ri Dios man kumal taj ri winaq.
