Philippians 1
1 PAUL and Timothy, servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:
ⲁ̅ⲡⲁⲩⲗⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲧⲓⲙⲟⲑⲉⲟⲥ ⲛⲓⲉⲃⲓⲁⲓⲕ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ⳿ⲛⲛⲓⲁⲅⲓⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲉⲧϧⲉⲛ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ⲛⲏⲉⲧϣⲟⲡ ϧⲉⲛ ⲫⲓⲗⲓⲡⲡⲟⲓⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓⲉⲡⲓⲥⲕⲟⲡⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓⲇⲓ⳿ⲁⲕⲱⲛ.
2 grace be unto you and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
ⲃ̅⳿ⲡ⳿ϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲙ ⳿ⲧϩⲓⲣⲏⲛⲏ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲫϯ ⲡⲉⲛⲓⲱⲧ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲉⲛ⳪ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅.
3 I give thanks to my God on every remembrance of you,
ⲅ̅ϯϣⲉⲡ⳿ϩⲙⲟⲧ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲛ ⲡⲁⲛⲟⲩϯ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛⲙⲉⲩⲓ ⲧⲏⲣϥ.
4 always in every prayer of mine for you all, making request with joy,
ⲇ̅⳿ⲉϯⲣⲁ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⳿ⲛⲥⲏⲟⲩ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲁⲧⲱⲃϩ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲣⲁϣⲓ ⲉⲓ⳿⳿ⲓⲣⲓ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲧⲱⲃϩ.
5 for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day even until now;
ⲉ̅⳿ⲉ⳿ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲙⲉⲧ⳿ϣⲫⲏⲣ ⲉⲧⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲟⲛ ⲓⲥϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲓ⳿ⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛϩⲟⲩⲓⲧ ϣⲁ ⳿ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲉϯⲛⲟⲩ.
6 being confident of this very thing, that he who hath wrought in you the good work will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ:
ⲋ̅ⲉⲣⲉ ⲡⲁϩⲏⲧ ⲑⲏⲧ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲫⲁⲓ ϫⲉ ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲁϥⲉⲣϩⲏⲧⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⳿ϥⲛⲁϫⲉⲕ ⲟⲩϩⲱⲃ ⳿ⲉⲛⲁⲛⲉϥ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϣⲁ ⲡⲓ⳿ⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅.
7 as it is right for me to think this of you all, because I bear you on my heart, both in my bonds and in my defence and the confirmation of the gospel, as being all of you sharers in my grace.
ⲍ̅ⲕⲁⲧⲁ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲟⲩϩⲱⲃ ⳿ⲙⲙⲏⲓ ⲛⲏⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉⲩⲙⲉⲩⲓ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ϫⲉ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲭⲏ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϧⲣⲏⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲁϩⲏⲧ ⲛⲉⲙ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲁ⳿ⲥⲛⲁⲩϩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϧⲣⲏⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲧⲁⲁⲡⲟⲗⲟⲅⲓⲁ ⲛⲉⲙ ⳿ⲡⲧⲁϫⲣⲟ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲟⲛ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϣⲫⲏⲣ ⳿ⲉⲡⲓ⳿ϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙⲏⲓ.
8 For God is my witness, how earnestly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.
ⲏ̅ⲡⲁⲙⲉⲑⲣⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲡⲉ ⲫϯ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⳿ⲉ ϯⲙⲉⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲙⲉⲧϣⲁⲛ⳿ⲑⲙⲁϧⲧ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅.
9 And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and all understanding;
ⲑ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉϯⲧⲱⲃϩ ⲉⲑⲃⲏⲧϥ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ ⲉⲧⲓ ⲙⲁⲗⲗⲟⲛ ⲕⲉⲙⲁⲗⲗⲟⲛ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲥⲉⲣϩⲟⲩ⳿ⲟ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲡ⳿ⲉⲙⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲉⲥⲑⲉⲥⲓⲥ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ.
10 that ye may prove the things that are excellent, in order that ye may be sincere and without offence unto the day of Christ;
ⲓ̅ⲉⲑⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲉⲣⲇⲟⲕⲓⲙⲁⲍⲓⲛ ⳿ⲛⲛⲏⲉⲧⲉⲣⲛⲟϥⲣⲓ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲧⲟⲩⲃⲏⲟⲩⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛⲁⲧϭⲣⲟⲡ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲡ⳿ⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⳿ⲙⲠⲭ̅ⲥ̅.
11 filled with fruits of righteousness, which by Jesus Christ are to the glory and praise of God.
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲙⲉϩ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲧⲁϩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϯⲙⲉⲑⲙⲏⲓ ⲡⲓ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲉⲩⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲧⲁⲓⲟ ⳿ⲙⲫϯ.
12 Now I wish you, brethren, to know, that the things which have befallen me have rather conduced to the progress of the gospel;
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ϯⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲑⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛ⳿ⲉⲙⲓ ⲛⲁ⳿ⲥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲛⲏⲉⲧϣⲟⲡ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲓ ⲁⲩ⳿ⲓ ⲙⲁⲗⲗⲟⲛ ⲉⲩ⳿ⲡⲣⲟⲕⲟⲡⲏ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲟⲛ.
13 so that my bonds are manifest in Christ through the whole palace, and all other places;
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ϩⲱⲥⲧⲉ ⲛⲁ⳿ⲥⲛⲁⲩϩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲟⲩϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲉⲩⲟⲩⲟⲛϩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓ⳿ⲡⲣⲉⲧⲱⲣⲓⲟⲛ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲧⲥⲱϫⲡ.
14 and very many of our brethren in the Lord, assuming confidence from my chains, are more abundantly bold, fearlessly to preach the word.
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲡϩⲟⲩ⳿ⲟ ⳿ⲛⲛⲓ⳿ⲥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲉⲧϧⲉⲛ Ⲡ⳪ ⳿ⲛⲥⲉⲭⲁ ⳿ϩⲑⲏⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲛⲁ⳿ⲥⲛⲁⲩϩ ⳿ⲛϩⲟⲩⲟ ⲙⲁⲗⲗⲟⲛ ⳿ⲛⲥⲉⲉⲣⲧⲟⲗⲙⲁⲛ ⳿ⲉⲥⲁϫⲓ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲥⲁϫⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲫϯ ⳿ⲛⲁⲧⲉⲣϩⲟϯ.
15 Some indeed do it in a spirit of envy and strife; but some also preach Christ with cordial good-will:
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϩⲁⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲫⲑⲟⲛⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩ⳿ϣϭⲛⲏⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲟⲩϯⲙⲁϯ ⲥⲉϩⲓⲱⲓϣ ⳿ⲙⲠⲭ̅ⲥ̅.
16 the one indeed preach Christ out of contention, not with purity of intention, thinking to add affliction to my bonds:
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ⲛⲁⲓ ⲙⲉⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ ⲉⲩ⳿ⲉⲙⲓ ϫⲉ ⲉⲓⲭⲏ ⲉⲩⲁⲡⲟⲗⲟⲅⲓⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲟⲛ.
17 but the others of love, knowing that I am exposed for the defence of the gospel.
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲛⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩ⳿ϣϭⲛⲏⲛ ⲥⲉϩⲓⲱⲓϣ ⳿ⲙⲠⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲧⲟⲩⲃⲟ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲩⲙⲉⲩⲓ ⳿ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲛⲟⲥ ⲟⲩϩⲟϫϩⲉϫ ⳿ⲛⲛⲁ⳿ⲥⲛⲁⲩϩ.
18 What then? if Christ is preached in whatever manner it be, whether in pretext or reality, even in this do I rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ⲁϧⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲡⲗⲏⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲥⲙⲟⲧ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲓⲧⲉ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲗⲱⲓϫⲓ ⲓⲧⲉ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲑⲙⲏⲓ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲥⲉϩⲓⲱⲓϣ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲫⲁⲓ ϯⲣⲁϣⲓ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲓ⳿ⲉⲣⲁϣⲓ ⲟⲛ.
19 For I know that this shall issue in my salvation through your prayers, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ϯ⳿ⲉⲙⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ϫⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛⲏⲓ ⲉⲩⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛⲧⲱⲃϩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⳿ⲡⲥⲁϩⲛⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲡ͞ⲛⲁ̅ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅.
20 according to my firm expectation and hope, that I shall be confounded by no event, but that with all boldness, as always hitherto, Christ shall now also be magnified in my body, whether by my life or death.
ⲕ̅ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲡⲁϫⲓⲛϫⲟⲩϣⲧ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲧⲁϩⲉⲗⲡⲓⲥ ϫⲉ ϯⲛⲁϣⲓⲡⲓ ⲁⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ϩⲗⲓ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲡⲁⲣⲣⲏⲥⲓⲁ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⳿ⲛⲥⲏⲟⲩ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲙ ϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲉϥ⳿ⲉⲁⲓⲁⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲁⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲓⲧⲉ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲡⲱⲛϧ ⲓⲧⲉ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲫⲙⲟⲩ.
21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
ⲕ̅ⲁ̅⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲡⲁⲱⲛϧ ⲡⲉ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲡⲙⲟⲩ ⲟⲩϩⲏⲟⲩ ⲛⲏⲓ ⲡⲉ.
22 But if it be his will, that I should live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my travail: and what to chuse I know not.
ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ⲓⲥϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲱⲛϧ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲧⲥⲁⲣⲝ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲟⲩⲟⲩⲧⲁϩ ⳿ⲛϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲏⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉϯⲛⲁⲥⲟⲧⲡϥ ⳿ⲛϯ⳿ⲉⲙⲓ ⲁⲛ.
23 For I am in a strait between the two, having an earnest longing to be dissolved, and to be with Christ, for this is far, far better:
ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ⲥⲉ⳿ⲁⲙⲟⲛⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲡⲓ⳿ⲥⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲉⲧⲉⲡⲓⲑⲩⲙⲓⲁ ⲉⲥⲉ⳿ⲛⲧⲟⲧ ⳿ⲉⲃⲱⲗ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛⲧⲁϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⳿ⲛϩⲟⲩ⳿ⲟ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲙⲁⲗⲗⲟⲛ ⳿ϥⲥⲟⲧⲡ.
24 but to abide in the flesh may be more necessary for you.
ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ⲡⲓϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲇⲉ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲧⲥⲁⲣⲝ ⲟⲩⲁⲛⲁⲅⲕⲉⲟⲛ ⳿ⲛϩⲟⲩ⳿ⲟ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ.
25 And being so persuaded, I know that I shall stay and continue with you all for your progress and joy of faith;
ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉⲣⲉ ⲡⲁϩⲏⲧ ⲑⲏⲧ ϯ⳿ⲉⲙⲓ ϫⲉ ϯⲛⲁⲟϩⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛ⳿ⲡⲣⲟⲕⲟⲡⲏ ⲛⲉⲙ ⳿ⲫⲣⲁϣⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲛⲁϩϯ.
26 that your glorying may abound in Christ Jesus for me by my coming again unto you.
ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛϣⲟⲩϣⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉϥⲉⲣϩⲟⲩ⳿ⲟ ϧⲉⲛ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϧⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲡⲁϫⲓⲛ⳿ⲓ ϩⲁⲣⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲟⲛ ⳿ⲛⲕⲉⲥⲟⲡ.
27 Only conduct yourselves worthily as becometh the gospel of Christ; that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one soul wrestling together in the faith of the gospel;
ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ⲙⲟⲛⲟⲛ ⲁⲣⲓⲡⲟⲗⲓⲧⲉⲩⲉⲥⲑⲉ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲡⲉⲙ⳿ⲡϣⲁ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲟⲛ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲁⲓϣⲁⲛ⳿ⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲁⲛⲁⲩ ⳿ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲓⲧⲉ ⳿ⲛϯ ϧⲁⲧⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⲁⲛ ⳿ⲛⲧⲁⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟϩⲓ ⳿ⲉⲣⲁⲧⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲡ͞ⲛⲁ̅ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲟⲩⲯⲩⲭⲏ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲓ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϣⲫⲏⲣ ⳿ⲛϧⲓⲥⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲛⲁϩϯ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲟⲛ.
28 and not dismayed on any occasion by your adversaries; which is indeed the proof of perdition to them, but of salvation to you, and that from God.
ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲟϣⲡ ⲁⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ⳿ϩⲗⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲛⲏ ⳿ⲉϯⲟⲩⲃⲉ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲡⲟⲩⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲟⲩⲧⲁⲕⲟ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲫϯ ⲡⲉ.
29 For this favour on the part of Christ is granted you, not only that ye should believe on him, but also that ye should suffer for his sake;
ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ϫⲉ ⲁⲩⲧⲏⲓϥ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϩⲙⲟⲧ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲟⲩ ⲙⲟⲛⲟⲛ ⳿ⲉⲛⲁϩϯ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⳿ⲉϣⲉⲡ⳿ⲙⲕⲁϩ ⲟⲛ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϩⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲉϫⲱϥ.
