< Philippians 2 >

1 IF there be then any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any communion of spirit, if any bowels and compassions,
Kale bwe wabaawo okubazaamu endasi kwonna mu Kristo, oba okusanyusa kwonna okw’okwagala, oba okussa ekimu mu mwoyo, oba okwagala okw’engeri yonna, oba okusaasira,
2 fulfil ye my joy, that ye may be united in sentiment, having the same love, of one soul, of one mind.
mutuukirize essanyu lyange, mulowoozenga bumu, nga mulina okwagala, n’omwoyo gumu, nga mulowooza bumu,
3 Let nothing be done contentiously or vain-gloriously; but in humility reckoning others superior to yourselves.
nga temukola kintu na kimu olw’okuvuganya wadde okwewaana okutaliimu, wabula mu bwetoowaze nga buli muntu agulumiza munne okusinga bwe mwegulumiza mwekka,
4 Let not each aim at their own particular interests, but every man at those of others.
nga buli muntu tatunuulira bibye yekka, naye ng’afaayo ne ku by’abalala.
5 Let the same sentiment of mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Mubengamu endowooza eri eyali mu Kristo Yesu,
6 who being in the form of God counted it no usurpation to claim equality with God:
ye newaakubadde nga yali mu kifaananyi kya Katonda, Teyeerowooza kwenkanankana ne Katonda,
7 but emptied himself, assuming the form of a servant, made after the similitude of mortal men;
wabula yeewaayo n’afuuka ng’omuddu, era n’azaalibwa ng’omuntu, era n’alabikira mu kifaananyi ky’omuntu,
8 and found in fashion as man, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, even to the death of the cross.
ne yeetoowaza, n’aba muwulize n’okutuukira ddala ku kufa, ate okufa okw’okukomererwa ku musaalaba.
9 Wherefore God also hath transcendently exalted him, and bestowed on him a name which is above every name:
Katonda kyeyava amugulumiza, n’amuwa erinnya erisinga amannya gonna;
10 that to the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of beings celestial and terrestrial, and infernal;
buli vviivi ery’abo abali mu ggulu n’abali ku nsi, era n’abali wansi w’ensi liryoke lifukaamirirenga erinnya lya Yesu,
11 and every tongue should confess that the Lord Jesus is Messiah, to the glory of God the Father.
era buli lulimi lwatulenga nga Yesu Kristo ye Mukama, Katonda Kitaffe aweebwe ekitiibwa.
12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always been obedient, not only during my presence with you, but now much more in my absence, with fear and trembling work out your own salvation.
Noolwekyo abaagalwa, nga bwe muli abawulize bulijjo nga ndi nammwe, kaakano nga bwe siri nammwe mube bawulize nnyo n’okusinga bwe mwali. Munyiikirenga okukola ebiraga nti mwalokolebwa, nga mutya era nga mukankana.
13 For it is God who worketh effectually in you both to will and to perform of his good pleasure.
Kubanga Katonda yakolera mu mmwe, era yabaagazisa n’abasobozesa okukola by’ayagala, olw’okumusanyusa.
14 Do all things without murmurings or disputes:
Buli kye mukola mukikolenga awatali kwemulugunya wadde empaka,
15 that ye may be blameless and harmless, the children of God, inoffensive, in the midst of an untoward and perverse generation, among whom ye shine as luminaries in the world;
mulyoke mube nga temuliiko kyakunenyezebwa nga muli balongoofu, mube abaana ba Katonda abatalina bbala, wakati mu mulembe ogwakyama era omwonoonefu, mwe mubeere ekyokulabirako eky’amaanyi mu nsi,
16 holding up the word of life, that I may glory in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, nor laboured in vain.
nga munyweza ekigambo ky’obulamu gye bali, ndyoke mbeere n’eky’okwenyumiriza ku lunaku lwa Kristo, okulaga nti ssaddukira bwereere so ssaateganira busa.
17 Yea, and should I become the victim, in the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.
Naye singa ddala nfukibwa ng’ekiweebwayo ekyokunywa ku ssaddaaka ne ku kuweereza okw’obwakabona okw’okukkiriza kwammwe, nsanyukira wamu nammwe mwenna.
18 In like manner do ye also joy and rejoice with me.
Era nammwe musanyukire wamu nange.
19 But I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy shortly unto you, that I also may be refreshed in spirit, when I know your affairs.
Mukama waffe Yesu bw’alisiima nsuubira okubatumira mangu Timoseewo, ndyoke ntereere omwoyo nga ntegedde ebibafaako.
20 For I have no one like minded with him, who will genuinely care for your affairs.
Kubanga tewali mulala alina ndowooza nga yange,
21 For all seek their own interests, not those of Christ Jesus.
kubanga abalala bonna beenoonyeza byabwe ku bwabwe, so si ebya Yesu Kristo.
22 But ye have known the trial of him, that, as a son with a father, he hath served with me in the gospel.
Naye ye Timoseewo mumumanyi nga bw’asaanira, kubanga aweerereza wamu nange, ng’omwana bw’akolera awamu ne kitaawe nga tukola omulimu gw’okubuulira Enjiri.
23 Him therefore I hope to send immediately as soon as I see clearly what will become of me.
Kale oyo gwe nsuubira okubatumira amangu ddala nga naakamanya nga bwe nnaabeera.
24 But I have confidence in the Lord that I myself shall come shortly.
Naye nkakasa nti Mukama waffe bw’alisiima, nange nze kennyini sirimala bbanga ddene nga sinnajja eyo.
25 But I have thought it necessary to send unto you Epaphroditus, my brother, and fellow-labourer, and fellow-soldier, but your messenger, and the minister who supplied my want.
Era ndabye nga kisaanye okubatumira owooluganda Epafuladito mukozi munnange, era mulwanyi munnange, naye ate nga mutume wammwe, omuweereza ow’eby’obwakabona ow’eby’etaago byange,
26 For indeed he greatly longed after you all, and was very sorry that ye had heard that he had been sick.
ayagala ennyo okubalaba, mwenna, eyeeraliikirira ennyo olw’obutabalaba, kubanga mwawulira nga yalwala.
27 For sick indeed he was, nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, that I might not have sorrow upon sorrow.
Ddala yalwala era yali kumpi n’okufa. Kyokka Katonda yamusaasira, naye era teyasaasira ye yekka, wabula nange yansaasira ennaku n’eteenneeyongera.
28 I have sent him therefore the more diligently, that seeing him once more ye may rejoice, and I be less sorrowful.
Noolwekyo nayagala nnyo okumutuma gye muli mulyoke musanyuke okumulaba nate, ekyo kikendeeze ku nnaku gye nnina.
29 Receive him therefore in the Lord with all joy, and honourably treat those that are such:
Kale mumwanirize nnyo n’essanyu lyonna mu Mukama waffe, era abantu abali ng’oyo mubassangamu ekitiibwa,
30 for in the work of Christ he was nigh unto death indifferent about life, that he might afford me that service which it was not in your power to render me.
kubanga yabulako katono okufa ng’ali ku mulimu gwa Kristo, ng’akola ebyo bye mwandinkoledde singa mwali nange.
