< Philippians 2 >
1 IF there be then any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any communion of spirit, if any bowels and compassions,
ⲁ̅ⲥⲟⲡⲥ ϭⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲥⲟⲗⲥⲗ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲛⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ ⲕⲟⲓⲛⲱⲛⲓⲁ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ ⲙⲛⲧⲛⲁⲏⲧ ⲛⲓⲙ ϩⲓ ⲙⲛⲧϣⲁⲛϩⲧⲏϥ
2 fulfil ye my joy, that ye may be united in sentiment, having the same love, of one soul, of one mind.
ⲃ̅ϫⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲁⲣⲁϣⲉ ϫⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲉⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲩⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲉⲩⲛⲧⲏⲧⲛ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲧⲉⲉⲓⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲟ ⲛⲟⲩϩⲏⲧ ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ
3 Let nothing be done contentiously or vain-gloriously; but in humility reckoning others superior to yourselves.
ⲅ̅ⲉⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲣ ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲁⲛ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲟⲩϯⲧⲱⲛ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲟⲩⲙⲛⲧϣⲟⲩϣⲟ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲑⲃⲃⲓⲟ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛϫⲓⲥⲉ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲛⲉⲣⲏⲩ ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲛ
4 Let not each aim at their own particular interests, but every man at those of others.
ⲇ̅ⲉⲙⲡⲟⲩⲁ ⲡⲟⲩⲁ ϣⲓⲛⲉ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲥⲁ ⲧⲉϥⲛⲟϥⲣⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲧⲁϩⲉⲛⲕⲟⲟⲩⲉ
5 Let the same sentiment of mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
ⲉ̅ⲡⲁⲓ ⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲛ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲟⲛ ⲉⲧϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲓⲏⲥ
6 who being in the form of God counted it no usurpation to claim equality with God:
ⲋ̅ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉϥϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲟⲣⲫⲏ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲙⲡϥⲟⲡϥ ⲉⲩⲧⲱⲣⲡ ⲉϣⲁϣϥ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
7 but emptied himself, assuming the form of a servant, made after the similitude of mortal men;
ⲍ̅ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲁϥⲡⲱϩⲧ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲁϥϫⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲙⲟⲣⲫⲏ ⲛϩⲙϩⲁⲗ ⲉⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛⲥⲙⲟⲧ ⲛⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲥⲭⲏⲙⲁ ⲁⲩϩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϩⲱⲥ ⲣⲱⲙⲉ
8 and found in fashion as man, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, even to the death of the cross.
ⲏ̅ⲁϥⲑⲃⲃⲓⲟϥ ⲉⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛⲥⲧⲙⲏⲧ ϣⲁϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲡⲙⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲥⲧⲁⲩⲣⲟⲥ
9 Wherefore God also hath transcendently exalted him, and bestowed on him a name which is above every name:
ⲑ̅ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ϩⲱⲱϥ ⲁⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϫⲁⲥⲧϥ ⲛϩⲟⲩⲟ ⲁϥⲭⲁⲣⲓⲍⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ⲙⲡⲣⲁⲛ ⲉⲧϩⲓϫⲛ ⲣⲁⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ
10 that to the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of beings celestial and terrestrial, and infernal;
ⲓ̅ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ϩⲙ ⲡⲣⲁⲛ ⲛⲓⲏⲥ ⲉⲣⲉⲡⲁⲧ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲕⲱⲗϫ ⲛⲉⲧϩⲛ ⲙⲡⲏⲩⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲧϩⲓϫⲙ ⲡⲕⲁϩ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲧϩⲁ ⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲙⲡⲕⲁϩ
11 and every tongue should confess that the Lord Jesus is Messiah, to the glory of God the Father.
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲛⲧⲉ ⲗⲁⲥ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲝⲟⲙⲟⲗⲟⲅⲉⲓ ϫⲉ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲡⲉ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲉⲡⲉⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲡⲉⲓⲱⲧ
12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always been obedient, not only during my presence with you, but now much more in my absence, with fear and trembling work out your own salvation.
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ϩⲱⲥⲧⲉ ⲛⲁⲙⲉⲣⲁⲧⲉ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲑⲉ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲉⲓϩⲁⲧⲉ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲁⲛ ⲙⲙⲁⲧⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ⲛϩⲟⲩⲟ ⲉⲛϯϩⲁⲧⲉ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲁⲛ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲟⲩⲥⲧⲱⲧ ⲁⲣⲓϩⲱⲃ ⲉⲡⲉⲧⲛⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ
13 For it is God who worketh effectually in you both to will and to perform of his good pleasure.
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛⲉⲣⲅⲓ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲛ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲙⲛ ⲡϫⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲱϣ
14 Do all things without murmurings or disputes:
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲁⲣⲓϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲁϫⲛ ⲕⲣⲙⲣⲙ ϩⲓ ⲙⲟⲕⲙⲉⲕ
15 that ye may be blameless and harmless, the children of God, inoffensive, in the midst of an untoward and perverse generation, among whom ye shine as luminaries in the world;
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛⲁⲧⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲁⲕⲉⲣⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲩⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲛⲧⲙⲏⲧⲉ ⲛⲧⲅⲉⲛⲉⲁ ⲉⲧϭⲟⲟⲩϭ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲧϭⲟⲟⲙⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛϩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲛⲛⲓⲣⲉϥⲣⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓⲛ ϩⲙ ⲡⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ
16 holding up the word of life, that I may glory in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, nor laboured in vain.
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛϭⲉⲉⲧ ⲉⲡϣⲁϫⲉ ⲙⲡⲱⲛϩ ⲉⲩϣⲟⲩϣⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲡⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲉⲭⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲧⲁⲓⲡⲱⲧ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲡϫⲓⲛϫⲏ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲛⲧⲁⲉⲓϣ ⲡϩⲓⲥⲉ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲡϫⲓⲛϫⲏ
17 Yea, and should I become the victim, in the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲉϣϫⲉ ⲥⲉⲟⲩⲱⲧⲛ ⲙⲙⲟⲓ ⲉϫⲛ ⲧⲉⲑⲩⲥⲓⲁ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲗⲓⲧⲟⲩⲣⲅⲓⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛ ⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ϯⲣⲁϣⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ϯⲛⲁⲣⲁϣⲉ ⲛⲙⲙⲏⲧⲛ ⲧⲏⲣⲧⲛ
18 In like manner do ye also joy and rejoice with me.
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ⲛⲧⲱⲧⲛ ϩⲱⲧ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲣⲁϣⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲣⲁϣⲉ ⲛⲙⲙⲁⲓ
19 But I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy shortly unto you, that I also may be refreshed in spirit, when I know your affairs.
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ϯⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ⲇⲉ ϩⲙ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲉⲧⲛⲛⲉⲩ ⲧⲓⲙⲟⲑⲉⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩϭⲉⲡⲏ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲣⲉⲡⲁϩⲏⲧ ϩⲱ ⲙⲧⲟⲛ ⲉⲁⲓⲉⲓⲙⲉ ⲉⲡⲉⲧⲛⲟⲩⲱ
20 For I have no one like minded with him, who will genuinely care for your affairs.
ⲕ̅ⲙⲛϯ ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲉϥⲛⲏⲩ ⲉϩⲙ ⲡⲁϩⲏⲧ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲛⲁϥⲓ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲣⲟⲟⲩϣ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲱⲣϫ
21 For all seek their own interests, not those of Christ Jesus.
ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ⲉⲣⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲓⲙ ϣⲓⲛⲉ ⲛⲥⲁ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲟⲩ ⲛⲉ ⲛⲛⲁ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲁⲛ ⲓⲏⲥ
22 But ye have known the trial of him, that, as a son with a father, he hath served with me in the gospel.
ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲉⲓⲙⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲉϥⲇⲟⲕⲓⲙⲏ ϫⲉ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲛⲟⲩϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲉⲓⲱⲧ ⲁϥⲣϩⲙϩⲁⲗ ⲛⲙⲙⲁⲓ ⲉⲡⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲟⲛ
23 Him therefore I hope to send immediately as soon as I see clearly what will become of me.
ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ⲡⲁⲓ ϭⲉ ϯⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲧⲛⲛⲟⲟⲩϥ ⲛⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲉⲓϣⲁⲛⲉⲓⲙⲉ ⲉⲛⲉⲧϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲙⲙⲟⲓ
24 But I have confidence in the Lord that I myself shall come shortly.
ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ϯⲛⲁϩⲧⲉ ⲇⲉ ϩⲙ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϩⲱⲱⲧ ⲟⲛ ϯⲛⲏⲩ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩϭⲉⲡⲏ ϣⲁⲣⲱⲧⲛ
25 But I have thought it necessary to send unto you Epaphroditus, my brother, and fellow-labourer, and fellow-soldier, but your messenger, and the minister who supplied my want.
ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ⲁⲓⲟⲡϥ ⲇⲉ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲉϣϣⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲧⲛⲛⲟⲟⲩ ϣⲁⲣⲱⲧⲛ ⲛⲉⲡⲁⲫⲣⲟⲇⲓⲧⲟⲥ ⲡⲥⲟⲛ ⲡⲁϣⲃⲣ ⲣϩⲱⲃ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲁϣⲃⲣ ⲙⲁⲧⲟⲓ ⲉⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁⲡⲟⲥⲧⲟⲗⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲗⲓⲧⲟⲩⲣⲅⲟⲥ ⲛⲧⲁⲭⲣⲓⲁ
26 For indeed he greatly longed after you all, and was very sorry that ye had heard that he had been sick.
ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ⲉⲡⲉⲓⲇⲏ ⲛⲉϥⲟⲩⲉϣ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲧⲏⲣⲧⲛ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉϥⲙⲟⲕϩ ⲉⲡⲉϥϩⲏⲧ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϫⲉ ⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛⲥⲱⲧⲙ ϫⲉ ⲁϥϣⲱⲛⲉ
27 For sick indeed he was, nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, that I might not have sorrow upon sorrow.
ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ⲕⲁⲓⲅⲁⲣ ⲁϥϣⲱⲛⲉ ⲁϥϩⲱⲛ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲙⲟⲩ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲁⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛⲁ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲁⲩⲁⲁϥ ⲁⲛ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲛⲁⲓ ϩⲱ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲛⲛⲁϫⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲗⲩⲡⲏ ⲉϫⲛ ⲟⲩⲗⲩⲡⲏ
28 I have sent him therefore the more diligently, that seeing him once more ye may rejoice, and I be less sorrowful.
ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ⲁⲓⲧⲛⲛⲟⲟⲩϥ ϭⲉ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩϭⲉⲡⲏ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲣⲁϣⲉ ⲟⲛ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϩⲱ ⲛⲧⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲁϫⲛ ⲗⲩⲡⲏ
29 Receive him therefore in the Lord with all joy, and honourably treat those that are such:
ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ϣⲟⲡϥ ϭⲉ ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲛ ϩⲙ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ϩⲛ ⲣⲁϣⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲕⲱ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ⲛⲛⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲉⲉⲓⲙⲓⲛⲉ ⲉⲩⲧⲁⲓⲏⲩ
30 for in the work of Christ he was nigh unto death indifferent about life, that he might afford me that service which it was not in your power to render me.
