< Matthew 4 >

1 THEN was Jesus led away by the spirit into the wilderness, to be tempted by the devil.
Le nendese’ i Arofo Masiñey mb’ am-babangoañ’ ao t’i Iesoà ho zizie’ i mpañìnjey.
2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterwards he became hungry.
Nililitse efapolo andro naho efapolo halen-dre vaho nisaliko,
3 And the tempter coming to him said, If thou art the Son of God, command that these stones be made loaves.

Fa hoe ty natoi’ Iesoà aze: Pinatetse ty hoe: Tsy mahakama avao ty mahaveloñe’ ondaty fa ze hene tsara miakatse am-palie’ Iehovà.

10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Avaunt Satan! for it is written, “Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and to him only thou pay divine adoration.”
