< Matthew 26 >

1 AND it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said to his disciples,
Napasamak nga idi naibaga ni Jesus amin dagitoy a sasao, kinunana kadagiti adalanna,
2 Ye know that after two days is the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.
“Ammoyo kalpasan ti dua nga aldaw, isun ti Ilalabas, ket maiyawatto ti Anak ti Tao tapno mailansa iti krus.”
3 Then were the chief priests and scribes, and the elders of the people gathered together in the palace of the high-priest, called Caiaphas.
Kalpasanna, naguummong dagiti panguloen a papadi ken dagiti panglakayen dagiti tattao idiay palasio ti kangatoan a padi, nga agnagan iti Caifas.
4 And they consulted together, how they might seize Jesus by guile, and put him to death.
Nagtutulaganda a tiliwenda ni Jesus a sililimed ket papatayenda isuna.
5 But they said, Not on the feast-day, lest there be a tumult among the people.
Ta kunada, “Saan a bayat ti piesta tapno saan a tumaud ti riribuk kadagiti tattao.”
6 Now when Jesus was at Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper,
Ita, kabayatan ti kaadda ni Jesus idiay Betania iti balay ni Simon nga addaan iti sakit a ketong,
7 there came to him a woman having an alabaster-box of very precious aromatic ointment, and poured it upon his head as he sat at table.
bayat a nakasadag isuna iti lamisaan, immay kenkuana ti maysa a babai nga adda awitna nga alabastro a pagikkan iti nangina unay a pangsapsapo ket imbukbokna daytoy iti ulo ni Jesus.
8 But when the disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, For what end is this waste?
Ngem idi nakita dagiti adalanna daytoy, naka-ungetda ket kinunada, “Apay met a sinayangna daydiay?
9 For this ointment might have been sold for a considerable sum, and given to the poor.
Mabalin daytoy nga ilako iti nangina ket maited kadagiti nakurapay.”
10 Then Jesus knowing it, said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath performed a good act upon me:
Ngem ammo daytoy ni Jesus, kinunana kadakuada, “Apay a rirriribukenyo daytoy a babai? Ta nasayaat ti inaramidna kaniak.
11 for the poor ye have always with you, but me ye have not always:
Kanayon nga adda iti dennayo dagiti nakurapay ngem saan a kanayon nga addaak kadakayo.
12 for in pouring this odoriferous ointment on my body, she hath done it for my burial.
Ta idi imbukbokna daytoy a pangsapsapo iti bagik, inaramidna daytoy para iti pannakaitanemko.
13 Verily I say unto you, Wherever this Gospel is preached through the whole world, what she hath done shall be also spoken of for a memorial of her.
Pudno, ibagak kadakayo, sadinoman a pakaikasabaan daytoy nga ebanghelio iti entero a lubong, ti inaramid daytoy a babai ket maibaganto a pakalaglagipan kenkuana.”
14 Then went one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, to the chief priests,
Ket maysa kadagiti sangapulo ket dua, a managan iti Judas Iscariote, ti napan kadagiti panguloen a papadi
15 and said, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? Then they placed before him thirty pieces of silver.
ket kinunana, “Ania ti mabalinyo nga ited kaniak no iyawatko isuna kadakayo?” Nangtimbangda iti tallo-pulo a pidaso iti pirak para kenkuana.
16 And from that time he sought an opportunity to deliver him up to them.
Manipud iti dayta a kanito ket nangbirok isuna iti gundaway tapno iyawatna isuna kadakuada.
17 Then on the first day of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying to him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover?
Ita, iti umuna nga aldaw ti tinapay nga awan ti lebadurana, dimteng dagiti adalan ni Jesus ket kinunada, “Sadino ti kayatmo a pangisaganaanmi a panganam iti taraon ti Ilalabas?”
18 And he said, Go into the city, unto such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand: I will keep the passover with my disciples at thy house.
Kinunana, “Mapankayo iti siudad, iti maysa a tao ket ibagayo kenkuana, 'Imbaga ti Maestro, “Umadanin ti tiempok. Rambakak ti Ilalabas iti balaymo a kaduak dagiti adalak.'””
19 And his disciples did as Jesus commanded them; and they made ready the passover.
Inaramid dagiti adalan ti imbilin ni Jesus kadakuada, ket insaganada ti taraon iti Ilalabas.
20 And when the evening was come, he sat down at table with the twelve.
Idi dimteng ti rabii, nagtugaw isuna tapno mangan a kaduana dagiti sangapulo ket dua nga adalan.
21 And as they were eating, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.
Bayat a mangmanganda, kinunana, “Pudno, ibagak kadakayo, a maysa kadakayo ti mangliputto kaniak.”
22 And exceedingly grieved, they began to say to him every one of them, Lord, am I the person?
Kasta unay ti panagladingitda, ket nangrugi a nagdamag ti tunggal maysa kenkuana, “Apo siak kadi ti ibagbagam?”
23 But he answering said, He that dippeth his hand with me into the dish, that man shall betray me.
Simmungbat isuna, “Ti kaduak a nagsawsaw iti daytoy a mallukong ket isunto ti mangliput kaniak.
24 The Son of man indeed is departing, as it is written of him: but wo to that man, by whom the Son of man is betrayed! well had it been for that man if he had never had a being.
Mapanto ti Anak ti Tao, a kas naisurat maipapan kenkuana. Ngem asi pay dayta a tao a mangliput iti Anak ti Tao! Nasaysayaat pay a saanen a naiyanak dayta a tao.
25 Then Judas, who betrayed him, addressing him said, Master, is it I? He saith to him, Thou hast named the person.
Kinuna ni Judas, a mangliput kenkuana, “Siak kadi daytoy, Rabbi?” Kinunana kenkuana, “Kinunamon.”
26 Then as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessing, brake, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.
Bayat a mangmanganda, innala ni Jesus ti tinapay, binendisionanna daytoy, ket pinisipisina. Intedna daytoy kadagiti adalan ket kinunana, “Mangalakayo, mangankayo. Daytoy ti bagik.”
27 And taking the cup, and giving thanks, he gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of this:
Nangala iti kopa ket nagyaman, sana inted kadakuada ket kinunana, “Uminomkayo amin iti daytoy.
28 for this is my blood, that blood of the new testament, which is shed for many, for the remission of sins.
Ta daytoy ti darak iti tulag a maiparukpok para iti adu para iti pannakapakawan dagiti basbasol.
29 And I tell you, That I will no more henceforth drink of this produce of the vine, until that day when I drink it with you, new, in the kingdom of my Father.
Ngem ibagak kadakayo, saanakton nga uminom manen iti bunga daytoy a puon ti ubas, agingga iti dayta nga aldaw nga uminomak iti baro, a kaduakayo, iti pagarian ni Amak.”
30 And when they had sung an hymn, they went out to the mount of Olives.
Idi nakapagkantada iti himno, rimmuarda a napan idiay Bantay Olibo.
31 Then saith Jesus unto them, Ye all will be offended at me this night: for it is written, “I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.”
Ket kinuna ni Jesus kadakuada, “Umadayokayonto amin iti daytoy a rabiik gapu kaniak, ta naisurat, “Dangrakto ti agpaspastor ket agkaiwaranto dagiti karnero ti arban.
32 But after I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee.
Ngem kalpasan a mapagungarak, umun-unaakto kadakayo idiay Galilea.”
33 Then Peter, taking up the word, said to him, Though all should be offended at thee, yet will I never be offended.
Ngem kinuna ni Pedro kenkuana, “Uray no umadayodanto amin gapu kenka, saanakto a pulos nga umadayo kenka.”
34 Jesus saith to him, I tell thee of a certainty, that this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.
Kinuna ni Jesus kenkuana, “Pudno, ibagak kenka, iti daytoy met laeng a rabii sakbay nga agtaraok ti kawitan ilibaknakto iti mamitlo a daras.”
35 Peter said to him, Though I should die with thee, never will I deny thee. In like manner also said all the disciples.
Kinuna ni Pedro kenkuana, “Uray no masapul a matayak a kaduam, dikanto ilibak.” Ket isu met laeng ti imbaga amin dagiti dadduma nga adalan.
36 Then cometh Jesus with them to a place called Gethsemane, and saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.
Kalpasanna, kimmuyog ni Jesus kadakuada a napan iti disso a maawagan iti Getsemani ket kinunana kadagiti adalanna, “Agtugawkayo ditoy kabayatan iti ipapanko sadiay ken agkararagak.
37 And taking Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, he began to be deeply sorrowful, and to be overwhelmed with dejection.
Inkuyogna ni Pedro ken ti dua a putot ni Zebedeo ket nangrugi a nagladingit unay ken nariribukan.
38 Then saith he to them. My soul is exceeding sorrowful even to death: abide here, and watch with me.
Kinunana kadakuada, “Nakaro unay ti panagladingit ti kararuak, a kaslaak la matay. Agtalinaedkayo ditoy ket makipagbantaykayo kaniak.”
39 And going a little farther, he fell on his face, praying, and saying, My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt.
Immadayo bassit isuna, nagpakleb isuna ket nagkararag. Kinunana, “Amak, no mabalin la koma, palubosam a lumabas daytoy a kopa kaniak. Nupay kasta, saan nga iti pagayatak ngem ti pagayatam.
40 And he cometh to the disciples, and findeth them sleeping, and he saith to Peter, Is it so, that ye have not strength to watch with me one hour?
Napan isuna kadagiti adalanna ket nasarakanna ida a matmaturog, ket kinunana kenni Pedro, “Apay, saankayo kadi a makapagbantay a kaduak iti maysa nga oras?
41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh weak.
“Agbantaykayo ken ikararagyo a saankayo a sumrek iti sulisog. Kinapudnona ti espiritu ket sipapalubos ngem nakapuy ti lasag.”
42 Again the second time he went away, and prayed, saying, O my Father, If it be not possible, that this cup pass from me, but that I should drink it, thy will be done.
Immadayo isuna iti maikadua a daras ket nagkararag, kinunana, “Amak, no saan daytoy a makalabas malaksid nga inumek, ti pagayatam ti matungpal.
43 And coming, he found them asleep again, for their eyes were weighed down.
Napan manen ket nasarakanna ida a matmaturog, ta nadagsenen dagiti matmatada.
44 And leaving them, he went away again, and prayed the third time, repeating the same sentence.
Ket iti panangibatina manen kadakuada, immadayo ket napan nagkararag iti maikatlo a daras. Ket isu met laeng dagiti imbagana.
45 Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Do ye still sleep on, and repose yourselves? lo! the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
Napan manen ni Jesus kadagiti adalanna ket kinunana kadakuada, “Matmaturogkayo pay laeng kadi ken agin-inana? Kitaenyo, umadanin ti oras, ket maliputan ti Anak ti Tao kadagiti ima dagiti managbasol.
46 Arise, let us go: lo! he that betrayeth me approaches.
Bumagonkayo, intayon. Kitaenyo, asidegen ti mangliput kaniak.”
47 And while he was yet speaking, behold, Judas one of the twelve came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people.
Bayat nga agsasao pay laeng isuna, dimteng ni Judas, ti maysa kadagiti Sangapulo ket dua. Adu a tattao ti dimteng a kaduana, manipud kadagiti panguloen a papadi ken panglakayen dagiti tattao. Immayda a sikakampilan ken nakaiggem iti pang-or.
48 Now he that betrayed him had given them a signal, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that is he: seize him.
Ita, ti lalaki a mangliput kenni Jesus ket nangted kadakuada iti pagilasinan, a kunana, “No siasino ti agkak, isuna daydiay. Tiliwenyo isuna.”
49 And immediately approaching to Jesus, he said, Hail, master; and kissed him.
Dagdagus a napan isuna kenni Jesus ket kinunana, “Kablaaw, Rabbi!” Ket inagkanna isuna.
50 Then spake Jesus to him, Friend, for what purpose art thou here? Then approaching they laid hands on Jesus, and seized him.
Kinuna ni Jesus kenkuana, “Gayyem, aramidem no ania ti immayam nga aramiden.” Ket immayda, tinengngelda ni Jesus, ket tiniliwda isuna.
51 And behold, one of those who were with Jesus stretching out his hand, drew his sword, and striking at a servant of the high-priest, cut off his ear.
Pagammoan, maysa kadagiti kadua ni Jesus ti nangiyunnat iti imana, inasutna ti kampilanna ket sinigpatna ti adipen ti kangatoan a padi ket naisina ti lapayagna.
52 Then saith Jesus unto him, Return thy sword into its sheath: for all who take the sword, shall perish by the sword.
Ket kinuna ni Jesus kenkuana, “Isublim iti ayanna ti kampilanmo, ta amin dagiti agaramat iti kampilan ket mapukawto met laeng babaen iti kampilan.
53 Thinkest thou, that I cannot now entreat my Father, and he will give me more than twelve legions of angels?
Ipagarupyo kadi a saanak a makaawag iti Amak, ket ibaonna iti nasursurok pay ngem iti sangapulo ket dua nga armada dagiti anghel?
54 But how then would the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?
Ngem kasano ngarud a matungpal dagiti Nasantoan a Sursurat, a masapul a mapasamak daytoy?”
55 In that hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are ye come out as against a robber, with swords and staves to apprehend me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid not hold upon me.
Iti dayta a tiempo kinuna ni Jesus kadagiti adu a tattao, “Immaykayo kadi ditoy a sikakampilan ken addaan iti pang-or a mangtiliw kaniak a kaslaak la agtatakaw? Inaldawak nga agtugtugaw idiay templo a nangisursuro, ket saandak a tiniliw.
56 But all this is come to pass, that the scriptures of the prophets should be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.
Ngem mapasamak amin daytoy tapno matungpal dagiti insurat dagiti profeta.” Ket amin dagiti adalan, imbatida isuna ken nagtatarayda.
57 Then they who had apprehended Jesus, brought him to Caiaphas the high-priest, where the scribes and elders were assembled.
Dagiti nangtiliw kenni Jesus impanda isuna iti balay ni Caifas a kangatoan a padi, a naguummongan dagiti eskriba ken dagiti panglakayen.
58 But Peter followed him at a great distance unto the palace of the high-priest, and entering in, sat down with the servants, to see the issue.
Ngem sinurot ni Pedro ni Jesus iti saan unay nga adayo manipud iti paraangan ti pangukoman ti kangatoan a padi. Napan isuna iti uneg ket nakitugaw kadagiti guardia tapno kitaenna ti mapasamak.
59 Now the chief priests and elders and the whole sanhedrim, sought false witness against Jesus, that they might put him to death;
Ita, mangbirbirok dagiti panguloen a papadi ken ti sibubukel a Konseho iti palso a pammaneknek maibusor kenni Jesus, tapno iti kasta ket mapapatay isuna.
60 and found none: and though many false witnesses came, they found it not sufficient. But at the last two false witnesses stepping forth,
Saanda a nakasarak iti ania, uray no adu a palso a saksi ti immay nagsaksi. Ngem saan a nagbayag, adda dua a nagpasango
61 said, This fellow said, I am able to pull down the temple of God, and to build it up in three days.
a nagkuna, “Kinuna daytoy a tao, 'Kabaelak a dadaelen ti templo ti Dios ket bangonek manen daytoy iti maikatlo nga aldaw.'”
62 And the high-priest rising up, said to him, Answerest thou nothing? what do these men witness against thee?
Nagtakder ti kangatoan a padi ket kinunana kenkuana, “Awan kadi ti maisungbatmo? Ania daytoy a panpaneknekanda maibusor kenka?”
63 But Jesus was silent. And the high-priest addressing him, said, I adjure thee, by the living God, that thou tell us, if thou art the Messiah, the Son of God.
Ngem naulimek ni Jesus. Kinuna ti kangatoan a padi kenkuana, “Bilinenka babaen iti sibibiag a Dios, ibagam kadakami no sika ti Cristo, nga Anak ti Dios.”
64 Jesus saith to him, Thou hast spoken the fact. Moreover I tell you, hereafter ye shall see the Son of man sitting at the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
Simmungbat ni Jesus kenkuana, “Nakunamon. Ngem ibagak kadakayo, manipud ita makitayonto ti Anak ti Tao nga agtugtugaw iti makannawan nga ima ti Pannakabalin, ken umay iti rabaw dagiti ulep iti langit.”
65 Then the high-priest rent his garments, saying, he hath blasphemed: what farther need have we of witnesses? lo! now ye have heard his blasphemy:
Kalpasanna, rinay-ab ti kangatoan a padi dagiti badona ket kinunana, “Nagsao isuna iti panagtabbaaw! Kasapulantayo pay kadi dagiti saksi? Kitaenyo, nangngegyo ita ti panagtabbaawna.
66 what think ye? They answered and said, He is deserving of death.
Ania ti makunayo?” Simmungbatda ket kinunada, “Maikari isuna a mapapatay.”
67 Then they spit in his face, and buffeted him about; and some slapt his face with their hands,
Ket tinupraanda ti rupana ken dinangranda isuna, ken sinipatda isuna,
68 saying, Prophesy to us, you Messiah, who it is that struck thee!
ket kinunada, “Pugtoam man kadakami, sika a Cristo. Siasino ti nangsipat kenka?”
69 Now Peter sat without in the hall: and there came to him a single maid-servant, saying, Thou also wert with Jesus of Galilee.
Ita, agtugtugaw ni Pedro iti ruar ti paraangan ti pangukoman, ket immasideg kenkuana ti maysa nga adipen a babai ket kinunana, “Kaduanaka met ni Jesus a taga-Galilea.”
70 But he denied it before them all, asserting, I know not what thou art saying.
Ngem inlibakna iti sangoananda amin, kinunana, “Saanko nga ammo ti ibagbagam.”
71 Then as he was going out at the gate, another maid-servant saw him, and saith to those who were there, This fellow also was with Jesus of Nazareth.
Idi rimmuar isuna iti ruangan, maysa pay nga adipen a babai ti nakakita kenkuana ket imbagana kadagiti adda sadiay, “Daytoy a lalaki ket kadua met ni Jesus a taga-Nazaret.”
72 Then again he denied with an oath, I know not the man.
Ket inlibakna manen a sinapataanna pay, “Saanko nga am-ammo dayta a tao.”
73 But after a little while they who stood by, came up and said to Peter, Assuredly thou also art one of them: for even thy speech maketh thee manifest.
Kalpasan iti apagbiit a kanito, immay dagiti agtaktakder iti asideg ket kinunada kenni Pedro, “Awan duadua a maysaka met kadakuada, ta mailasin iti panagsaom.
74 Then began he to utter the bitterest curses, and to swear, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew.
Ket nangrugi isuna nga agilunod ken agsapata, “Saanko nga am-ammo dayta a tao,” ket dagdagus a nagtaraok ti kawitan.
75 And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, who had said unto him, Before the cock shall crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And going out, he wept bitterly.
Nalagip ni Pedro dagiti sasao ni Jesus nga imbagana, “Sakbay nga agtaraok ti kawitan, ilibaknakto iti mamitlo a daras.” Ket rimmuar isuna ket nagsangsangit iti napait.
