< Mark 4 >

1 AND again he began to teach by the sea side: and a vast multitude was assembled about him, so that he went into a vessel to sit down on the sea, and all the multitude was on the land close by the sea.
Ate era n’atandika okuyigiriza ku lubalama lw’ennyanja. Ekibiina ky’abantu kinene nnyo ne bakuŋŋaana okumwetooloola. Kyeyava alinnya mu lyato n’ayigiriza ng’atudde omwo.
2 And he taught them in parables many things, and said unto them in the course of his teaching,
Yabayigirizanga ebintu bingi mu ngero. N’abayigiriza ng’agamba nti,
3 Hear me! Behold, a sower went out to sow;
“Muwulirize. Waaliwo omulimi eyafuluma okusiga ensigo.
4 and it came to pass as he sowed, some fell by the road side, and the birds of the air came and ate it up.
Bwe yali ng’azimansa ng’asiga mu nnimiro, ezimu ne zigwa ku mabbali g’ekkubo ennyonyi ne zijja ne zizirya.
5 And some fell on a rocky soil, where it had not much mold, and immediately it sprung up, because it had no depth of earth:
N’endala ne zigwa ku ttaka ery’ekyaziyazi awatali ttaka lingi, ezo ne zimera mangu kubanga tezaali mu ttaka gwanvu.
6 and when the sun arose it was scorched up; and because it had not root, it withered away.
Awo omusana bwe gwayaka ne zikalirawo, kubanga emirandira gyali kungulu.
7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up with it and choked it, and it produced no fruit.
Endala ne zigwa mu maggwa. Awo ensigo ne zikula kyokka amaggwa ne gazitta ne zitabala bibala.
8 And some fell on good ground, and produced fruit, growing up, and increasing, and yielded one part thirty fold, and another sixty, and another an hundred.
Endala ne zigwa ku ttaka eddungi, ezo ne zibala ebibala, ezimu emirundi amakumi asatu, endala emirundi nkaaga, n’endala kikumi.”
9 And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
N’abagamba nti, “Oyo alina amatu agawulira awulire.”
10 But when they were alone, those who were about him with the twelve, asked him the meaning of the parable.
Awo bwe yasigala yekka, abayigirizwa be ekkumi n’ababiri n’abantu abalala, ne bamubuuza amakulu g’engero ezo ze yabagerera.
11 And he said to them, To you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to those who are without, all things are in parables:
Yesu n’abagamba nti, “Mmwe muweereddwa omukisa okumanya ekyama ekifa ku bwakabaka bwa Katonda ekyakisibwa abantu abalala abali ebweru waabwo.”
12 That seeing they may see, yet not perceive; and hearing may hear, yet not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins be forgiven them.
“Balaba bulabi naye nga tebeetegereza, era n’okuwulira bawulira naye tebategeera, si kulwa nga bakyuka ne basonyiyibwa.”
13 And he saith to them, Know ye not this parable? and how will ye know all parables?
“Kale obanga temutegedde makulu ga lugero luno olwangu bwe luti mulitegeera mutya endala ze ŋŋenda okweyambisa nga njigiriza?
14 The sower soweth the word.
Omusizi asiga ekigambo y’asiga.
15 Now these are they by the road side; where the word is sown; and when they have heard, immediately Satan cometh, and taketh away the word sown on their hearts:
Ate ensigo ezaagwa ku mabbali g’ekkubo, be bawulira ekigambo, amangwago Setaani n’ajja n’akibatwalako.
16 and these in like manner are they who were sown on the rocky soil; who when they have heard the word, instantly with joy receive it;
Ate ensigo ezaagwa ku byaziyazi, gy’emitima gy’abantu abawulira ekigambo amangwago ne bakyaniriza n’essanyu.
17 and have no root in themselves, but are temporary professors: afterwards, when tribulation cometh or persecution for the word’s sake, immediately they are offended.
Naye tebalina mirandira, babeera bulungi okusooka, naye olutuukibwako ebizibu oba okuyigganyizibwa olw’ekigambo amangwago babivaako.
18 And those are the sown among the thorns; such as are hearers of the word;
Ate endala ezaagwa mu maggwa, be bawulira ekigambo,
19 but the anxious cares of this world, and the seducing nature of wealth, and inordinate desires after other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. (aiōn g165)
naye okweraliikirira n’okusikirizibwa eby’obugagga n’okwegomba ebintu ebirala, bizikiriza ekigambo ne kitabala bibala. (aiōn g165)
20 And these are they who are sown on the good ground, such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirty fold, and some sixty, and some an hundred.
Ettaka eddungi gy’emitima gy’abantu abawulira ekigambo ne bakkiririza ddala era ne bavaamu ebibala, emirundi amakumi asatu, abalala emirundi nkaaga, n’abalala kikumi.”
21 And he said unto them, Is a lamp brought out to be put under a bushel, or under a bed, and not to be placed on a stand?
Awo Yesu n’ababuuza nti, “Waliwo omuntu akoleeza ettaala n’agivuunikako ekibbo oba n’agiteeka wansi w’ekitanda? Naye omuntu bw’akoleeza ettaala tagiteeka ku kikondo waggulu?
22 For there is nothing hid, but that it should be brought to light, nor is any thing concealed, but that it should come into open day.
Kubanga buli kintu kyonna ekikolebwa mu kyama kaakano, ekiseera kirituuka ne kiragibwa mu lwatu.
23 If any man hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Alina amatu agawulira awulire.
24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with the measure ye mete, shall it be measured back to you; and something over shall be given to you that hear.
Naye mwegendereze ebyo bye mbayigiriza.
25 For to him that hath, there shall more be given to him; but he that hath not, even that which he hath shall be taken away from him.
Alina aliweebwa na buli atalina aliggyibwako n’ebyo by’alina.”
26 And he said, The kingdom of heaven is of that kind, as if a man should cast seed into his field;
Awo Yesu n’abagamba nti, “Obwakabaka bwa Katonda bufaanaanyirizibwa n’omusizi asiga ensigo mu ttaka.
27 and sleep and rise, night and day, and the sown corn should sprout, and grow into length, he knoweth not how:
Ekiro yeebaka, n’emisana ne yeekolera by’ayagala, mu kiseera ekyo kyonna ensigo ziba zimera, naye ate nga takimanyi.
28 for the earth, naturally prolific, beareth fruit; first the blade, then the ear, then the full corn in the ear.
Ku bwalyo ettaka lireeta ekibala. Ensigo zisooka kusindika bulimi bwazo okuva mu ttaka, amatabi ne gajjako ebirimba by’eŋŋaano.
29 But when the grain is ready, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because harvest is come.
Eŋŋaano bw’eyengera omusizi ayanguwa mangu n’akwata akayuuyo, kubanga amakungula gatuuse.”
30 And he said, To what shall I liken the kingdom of God, and under what parabolic figure shall I represent it?
Awo Yesu n’ayongera n’abagamba nti, “Obwakabaka bwa Katonda tunaabugeraageranya na ki? Oba tukozese lugero ki okubunnyonnyola?
31 It is like a grain of mustard, which when it is sown in the earth, is among the least of all the seeds which are upon the earth:
Bufaananyizibwa n’akasigo aka kaladaali! Kubanga newaakubadde katono nnyo okusinga ensigo zonna ez’oku nsi,
32 but when it is sown, it groweth up and becomes greater than all herbaceous plants, and produceth vast branches; so that the birds of the air may roost under the shadow of it.
naye kavaamu omuti omunene nga gulina amatabi amanene, ennyonyi ez’omu bbanga mwe ziyinza okuzimba ebisu byazo.”
33 And with many such like parables spake he to them the word.
Yesu n’abuulira abantu ekigambo kya Katonda ng’akozesa engero nnyingi ezifaanana ng’ezo, nga bwe baasobolanga okuwulira.
34 And without a parable spake he not unto them; but in private he explained them all to his disciples.
Yesu bwe yabanga ayigiriza ebibiina yakozesanga engero, naye bwe yaddanga ebbali n’abayigirizwa be n’abannyonnyola amakulu agali mu ngero ezo.
35 And the same day he saith unto them, as the evening shut in, Let us pass over to the other side.
Ku lunaku olwo obudde nga buwungedde Yesu n’agamba abayigirizwa be nti, “Tuwunguke tulage emitala.”
36 And sending the multitude away, they took him just as he was in the vessel; and there were also some other little vessels with him.
N’aleka awo ekibiina, abayigirizwa be ne balinnya mu lyato Yesu mwe yali ne bagenda naye. Abantu abamu ne babagobera mu maato agaabwe.
37 And a great hurricane arose, and the waves broke into the vessel, so that it was now full of water:
Amangwago omuyaga mungi nnyo ne gukunta n’amayengo amagulumivu ne geeyiwa mu lyato ne libulako katono okujjula amazzi.
38 and he was in the stern, sleeping on a pillow: and they awoke him, and say unto him, Master, is it no concern to thee that we are perishing?
Yesu yali agalamidde emabega mu lyato nga yeezizise omutto yeebase. Awo abayigirizwa be ne bamuzuukusa nga bagamba nti, “Omuyigiriza, ggwe tofaayo nga ffenna tugenda okusaanawo?”
39 And rising, he with authority charged the wind, and said to the sea, Silence! be still! And the wind subsided, and there was a great calm.
N’azuukuka n’aboggolera omuyaga n’agamba ennyanja nti, “Tteeka, sirika.” Omuyaga ne gusirika n’ennyanja n’eteekera ddala.
40 And he said to them, Why are ye so timorous? How is it that ye have not confidence?
N’ababuuza nti, “Lwaki mutidde? Temunnaba kubeera na kukkiriza?”
41 And they were filled with the most reverential awe, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?
Ne batya nnyo, ne beebuuza nti, “Ono ye ani, embuyaga n’ennyanja gwe bigondera?”
