Mark 14
1 NOW the passover and the feast of unleavened bread were but two days distant; and the chief priests, and the scribes, sought how they might seize him by craft, and kill him.
După două zile era sărbătoarea paștelui și a azimelor; și preoții de seamă și scribii căutau cum să îl prindă prin viclenie să îl ucidă.
2 But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be a commotion among the people.
Dar spuneau: Nu în sărbătoare, ca nu cumva să fie tulburare a poporului.
3 And when he was at Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at table, a woman came, having an alabaster vase of ointment, of genuine spikenard, of vast value: and breaking the vase, she let it flow down upon his head.
Și fiind el în Betania, în casa lui Simon leprosul, pe când ședea el la masă, a venit o femeie având un vas de alabastru cu ulei parfumat de mir de nard curat, foarte prețios; și a spart vasul și a turnat mirul pe capul lui.
4 And there were some who felt indignation within themselves, saying, Wherefore is this waste of the ointment made?
Și erau unii supărați în ei înșiși și spuneau: Pentru ce s-a făcut risipa aceasta de mir?
5 For it might have been sold for more than three hundred denarii, and given to the poor. And they bitterly murmured against her.
Fiindcă acesta s-ar fi putut vinde pe mai mult de trei sute de dinari și s-ar fi dat banii la săraci. Și cârteau împotriva ei.
6 Then said Jesus, Let her alone; why give ye her uneasiness? she hath performed a laudable act towards me.
Dar Isus a spus: Lăsați-o în pace; de ce o tulburați? A lucrat o lucrare bună față de mine.
7 For the poor ye have always with you, and when ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always.
Fiindcă pe săraci îi aveți totdeauna cu voi și oricând voiți, puteți să le faceți bine; dar pe mine nu mă aveți totdeauna.
8 What was in her power she hath done; she has seized the opportunity to anoint my body beforehand for burial.
Ea a făcut ce a putut; a venit dinainte ca să îmi ungă trupul pentru înmormântare.
9 Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached through the whole world, there shall, what she hath done, be told for a memorial of her.
Adevărat vă spun: Oriunde va fi predicată această evanghelie, prin întreaga lume și ce a făcut ea va fi spus, ca o amintire despre ea.
10 Then Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went unto the chief priests, that he might betray him unto them.
Și Iuda Iscariot, unul dintre cei doisprezece, s-a dus la preoții de seamă să li-l trădeze.
11 When they heard it, they rejoiced, and promised to give him a sum in silver. And he watched how opportunely he might deliver him up.
Și când au auzit, s-au bucurat și au promis să îi dea bani. Și căuta cum să îl trădeze la un moment potrivit.
12 And on the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the passover, his disciples said unto him, Where wilt thou that we go and prepare for thee to eat the passover?
Și în prima zi a azimelor, când înjunghiau paștele, discipolii lui i-au spus: Unde voiești să mergem și să pregătim ca să mănânci paștele?
13 And he sent two of his disciples, and saith unto them, Go into the city, and a man will meet you carrying a pitcher of water, follow him.
Și a trimis doi dintre discipolii săi și le-a spus: Mergeți în cetate și acolo veți întâlni un om purtând un ulcior de apă; urmați-l.
14 And where he enters, say to the master of the family. That the teacher saith, Where is the dining-room, where I may eat the passover with my disciples?
Și oriunde va intra, spuneți stăpânului casei: Învățătorul spune: Unde este camera de oaspeți, unde voi mânca paștele cu discipolii mei?
15 And he will shew you a large upper room ready furnished: there make preparation for us.
Și el vă va arăta o cameră mare de sus, așternută și pregătită; acolo să pregătiți pentru noi.
16 And his disciples went out, and came into the city, and found as he had spoken to them; and they made ready the passover.
Și discipolii lui s-au dus și au intrat în cetate și au găsit așa cum le spusese; și au pregătit paștele.
17 And when it was evening he came with the twelve.
Și după ce s-a făcut seară, a venit cu cei doisprezece.
18 And as they sat at table, and were eating, Jesus said, Verily I tell you, That one of you, who is eating with me, shall betray me.
Și pe când ședeau ei și mâncau, Isus a zis: Adevărat vă spun: Unul dintre voi care mănâncă cu mine mă va trăda.
19 And they began to be very sorry, and to say to him, one by one, Is it I? and another said, Is it I?
Și au început să se întristeze și să îi spună unul câte unul: Sunt eu? Și altul: Sunt eu?
20 But he answering said to them, It is one of the twelve, who is dipping his hand with me into the dish.
Iar el a răspuns și le-a zis: Este unul dintre cei doisprezece, care înmoaie cu mine în farfurie.
21 The Son of man indeed goeth, as it is written of him; but wo to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been desirable for that man if he had never been born.
Într-adevăr, Fiul omului se duce așa cum este scris despre el; dar vai acelui om prin care Fiul omului este trădat! Bine ar fi fost pentru acel om dacă el niciodată nu s-ar fi născut.
22 And as they were eating, Jesus taking a loaf, when he had blessed, brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
Și pe când mâncau ei, Isus a luat pâine și a binecuvântat și a frânt-o și le-a dat și a spus: Luați, mâncați; acesta este trupul meu.
23 And taking the cup, when he had given thanks, he gave it to them; and they all drank out of it.
Și a luat paharul și după ce a adus mulțumiri, le-a dat; și toți au băut din el.
24 And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.
Și le-a spus: Acesta este sângele meu, al noului testament, care se varsă pentru mulți.
25 Verily I say unto you, That I will henceforth no more drink of the produce of the vine, until that day when I shall drink it new in the kingdom of God.
Adevărat vă spun: Nicidecum nu voi mai bea din rodul viței, până în acea zi când îl voi bea nou în împărăția lui Dumnezeu.
26 And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the mount of Olives.
Și după ce au cântat un imn, au ieșit înspre muntele Măslinilor.
27 And Jesus saith to them, All ye will be offended at me this night; for it is written, “I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be dispersed:”
Și Isus le-a spus: Voi toți vă veți poticni din cauza mea în această noapte, pentru că este scris: Voi bate păstorul și oile se vor împrăștia.
28 but after I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee.
Dar după ce eu voi fi înviat, voi merge înaintea voastră în Galileea.
29 Then said Peter unto him, Though all should be offended, yet will not I.
Dar Petru i-a spus: Chiar dacă toți se vor poticni, totuși eu nu.
30 And Jesus saith to him, Verily I tell thee, That to-day, in the course of this very night, before the cock crow twice, thou shalt thrice deny me.
Iar Isus i-a zis: Adevărat îți spun că: Astăzi, chiar în această noapte, înainte de a cânta cocoșul de două ori, mă vei nega de trei ori.
31 But he said with more vehement assertion, Though I should die with thee, yet would I in no wise deny thee. And they all spake also in the same manner.
Dar el vorbea mai vehement: Dacă ar trebui să mor cu tine, nicidecum nu te voi nega. Și toți au spus la fel.
32 And they come to a place called Gethsemane, and he saith to his disciples, Sit ye here whilst I shall pray.
Și au venit într-un loc al cărui nume era Ghetsimani; și le-a spus discipolilor săi: Ședeți aici, în timp ce mă voi ruga.
33 And he taketh Peter, and James, and John, with him; and he began to be filled with horrible dread, and to be sunk under dejection of spirit:
Și a luat cu el pe Petru și pe Iacov și pe Ioan; și a început să fie tulburat amarnic și foarte mâhnit.
34 and he saith to them, My soul is deeply afflicted even to death: abide here, and watch.
Și le-a spus: Sufletul meu este foarte întristat, chiar de moarte; rămâneți aici și vegheați.
35 And he went a little farther forward, and fell on the earth, and prayed, that if it were possible the hour might pass from him.
Și s-a dus puțin mai înainte și a căzut la pământ și se ruga ca, dacă ar fi posibil, timpul acesta să treacă de la el.
36 And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible to thee; remove this cup from me, nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt.
Și a spus: Abba, Tată, toate îți sunt posibile; ia de la mine acest pahar; cu toate acestea, nu ce voiesc eu, ci ce voiești tu.
37 And he came and found them asleep: and saith unto Peter, Sleepest thou? hast thou not strength to watch with me a single hour?
Și a venit și i-a găsit dormind și i-a spus lui Petru: Simone, dormi? Nu ai putut veghea o oră?
38 Watch ye and pray, that ye enter not into temptation; the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Vegheați și rugați-vă, ca nu cumva să intrați în ispită. Într-adevăr, duhul [este] plin de zel, dar carnea fără putere.
39 And again he went away, and prayed, speaking the same sentence.
Și din nou s-a dus deoparte și s-a rugat și a spus aceleași cuvinte.
40 And when he returned, he found them again sleeping; for their eyes were weighed down: and they knew not what to answer him.
Și când s-a întors, i-a găsit din nou adormiți, (fiindcă ochii le erau îngreunați) și nu știau ce să îi răspundă.
41 Then the third time he cometh, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and repose: it is enough, the hour is come; lo! the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners;
Și a venit a treia oară și le-a spus: Dormiți de-acum și odihniți-vă; este destul, a sosit timpul; iată, Fiul omului este trădat în mâinile păcătoșilor.
42 arise, let us go; behold, the traitor approaches me.
Ridicați-vă, să mergem; iată, cel ce mă trădează este aproape.
43 And immediately, while he was yet speaking, Judas, one of the twelve, came up, and a great multitude with him, with swords and staves, from the chief priests, and scribes, and elders.
Și îndată, pe când el încă vorbea, a venit Iuda, unul dintre cei doisprezece și împreună cu el o mulțime mare cu săbii și bâte, de la preoții de seamă și scribi și bătrâni.
44 Now he that betrayed him, had given them a countersign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that is he, seize him, and lead him off safely.
Și cel ce îl trădase le dăduse un semn, spunând: Pe oricare îl voi săruta, el este; prindeți-l și duceți-l în siguranță.
45 And coming, he immediately drew up to him and said, Rabbi, Rabbi, and kissed him.
Și venind, s-a apropiat îndată de el și a spus: Rabi, rabi; și l-a sărutat.
46 Then they laid their hands on him, and seized him.
Și și-au pus mâinile pe el și l-au prins.
47 And one particular person of those who stood by drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.
Iar unul dintre cei ce stăteau în picioare acolo a scos o sabie și a lovit pe un rob al marelui preot și i-a tăiat urechea.
48 And Jesus addressing them said, Are ye come out as against a robber, with swords and staves, to apprehend me?
Și Isus a răspuns și le-a zis: Ați ieșit ca împotriva unui tâlhar, cu săbii și bâte, ca să mă luați?
49 Daily was I with you in the temple teaching, and ye laid no hold upon me: but this is done that the scriptures might be fulfilled.
Zilnic am fost cu voi în templu învățându-vă și nu m-ați prins; totuși, scripturile trebuie să fie împlinite.
50 Then they all deserting him, fled.
Și toți l-au părăsit și au fugit.
51 And a certain youth followed him, having a linen cloth wrapped round his naked body; and the young men laid hold of him;
Și un anumit tânăr l-a urmat, având o pânză de in aruncată peste goliciunea lui; și cei tineri au pus mâna pe el;
52 and leaving the linen cloth behind, he fled naked from them.
Și a lăsat pânza de in și a fugit gol de la ei.
53 And they led Jesus unto the high-priest; and with him were assembled all the chief priests, and the elders, and the scribes.
Și l-au dus pe Isus la marele preot; și cu el s-au adunat toți preoții de seamă și bătrânii și scribii.
54 And Peter followed him at a distance, until he came into the palace of the high-priest: and was seated with the servants, and warming himself at the fire.
Și Petru l-a urmat de departe, până în curtea palatului marelui preot; și ședea cu servitorii și se încălzea la foc.
55 Then the chief priests, and the whole sanhedrim, sought for witness against Jesus, that they might put him to death; yet found none.
Și preoții de seamă și tot consiliul căutau mărturie împotriva lui Isus ca să îl ucidă; și nu au găsit pe nimeni.
56 For many bore false witness against him, and their attestations did not correspond.
Fiindcă mulți aduceau mărturie falsă împotriva lui, dar mărturiile lor nu se potriveau împreună.
57 And certain persons rising up, bore false witness against him, saying,
Și unii s-au sculat și au adus mărturie falsă împotriva lui, spunând:
58 We have heard him affirm, I will destroy this temple made with hands, and after three days I will build another not made with hands.
Noi l-am auzit, spunând: Eu voi distruge acest templu făcut de mâini și în trei zile voi construi altul făcut fără mâini.
59 But even then their testimony was not correspondent.
Dar nici așa mărturiile lor nu se potriveau.
60 So the high-priest rising up in the midst interrogated Jesus, Answerest thou nothing? What is it that these witness against thee?
Și marele preot s-a sculat în picioare în mijloc și l-a întrebat pe Isus, spunând: Nu răspunzi nimic? Ce mărturie aduc aceștia împotriva ta?
61 But he kept silence, and made them not a word of reply. Again the high-priest questioned him, and said to him, Art thou the Messiah, the Son of the blessed?
Dar el tăcea și nu răspundea nimic. Din nou, marele preot l-a întrebat și i-a spus: Ești tu Cristosul, Fiul Celui Binecuvântat?
62 Then said Jesus, I am. And ye shall see the Son of man sitting at the right hand of power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.
Și Isus a spus: Eu sunt. Și veți vedea pe Fiul omului șezând la dreapta puterii și venind pe norii cerului.
63 Then the high-priest rent his clothes, and said, What farther need have we of witnesses?
Atunci marele preot și-a sfâșiat hainele și a zis: Ce nevoie mai avem de alți martori?
64 Ye have heard his blasphemy. What think ye? And they all adjudged him to be deserving of death.
Ați auzit blasfemia; ce gândiți voi? Și toți l-au condamnat ca fiind vinovat de moarte.
65 And some began to spit upon him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say to him, Prophesy: and the servants slapped him on the face with their hands.
Și unii au început să îl scuipe și să îi acopere fața și să îl bată cu pumnii și să îi spună: Profețește; și servitorii îl loveau cu palmele mâinilor lor.
66 And as Peter was in the hall, at the lower end, there came to him one of the high-priest’s maid-servants:
Și pe când Petru era jos în curtea palatului, a venit una dintre servitoarele marelui preot;
67 and seeing Peter warming himself, stedfastly looking at him, she said, Thou also wast with Jesus of Nazareth.
Și când l-a văzut pe Petru încălzindu-se, l-a privit și a spus: Și tu ai fost cu Isus din Nazaret.
68 Then he denied it, saying, I do not so much as know him, nor understand what thou art saying. And he went out into the vestibule; and the cock crew.
Dar el a negat, spunând: Nu știu, nici nu înțeleg ce spui tu. Și a ieșit afară în portic; și cocoșul a cântat.
69 And a maid-servant observing him again; began to say to those who stood by, This man is one of them.
Și din nou, o servitoare l-a văzut și a început să le spună celor ce stăteau în picioare acolo: Acesta este unul dintre ei.
70 Then he denied it again. And after a little while, they who stood by said to Peter, Of a certainty thou art one of them; for thou art a Galilean, and thy speech is correspondent.
Dar el a negat din nou. Și la puțin timp după aceea, cei ce stăteau acolo în picioare i-au spus din nou lui Petru: Într-adevăr, ești unul dintre ei; fiindcă ești galileean și vorbirea ta este la fel.
71 Then began he to make the most dreadful imprecations, and to swear, I know not the man of whom ye speak.
Dar a început să blesteme și să jure: Nu îl cunosc pe acest om despre care vorbiți.
72 And the second time the cock crew. And Peter remembered the word which Jesus spake unto him, That before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And casting his mantle over his face, he wept.
Și cocoșul a cântat a doua oară. Și Petru și-a amintit cuvântul care i l-a zis Isus: Înainte de a cânta cocoșul de două ori, mă vei nega de trei ori. Și gândindu-se la aceasta, a plâns.
