Mark 12
1 AND he began to speak to them in parables. A man planted a vineyard, and set a hedge around it, and digged a wine-press, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went abroad.
Ja hän rupesi heille puhumaan vertauksilla: ihminen istutti viinamäen, ja pani aidan sen ympärille, ja kaivoi kuopan, ja rakensi tornin, ja pani sen vuorolle peltomiehille, ja matkusti muille maille,
2 And in the season he sent a servant to the husbandmen, that he might receive from the husbandmen of the fruit of the vineyard.
Ja lähetti ajallansa palveliansa peltomiesten tykö, ottamaan peltomiehiltä viinamäen hedelmää.
3 But they took him, and beat him, and sent him away empty.
Mutta he ottivat hänen kiinni, hosuivat hänen ja lähettivät hänen pois tyhjänä.
4 And again he sent unto them another servant; and they cut the account short with him, by stoning him, and sent him away shamefully treated.
Ja taas lähetti hän heidän tykönsä toisen palvelian, ja sen he kivittivät ja pään särkivät, ja lähettivät hänen pois pilkattuna.
5 And again he sent another; and him, they slew; and many others, some of whom they beat, and others they killed.
Ja hän lähetti taas toisen; sen he tappoivat: ja monta muuta, muutamat he hosuivat, ja muutamat tappoivat.
6 Now he had yet one son, his beloved, and he sent him unto them last, saying, They will reverence my son.
Niin hänellä oli vielä rakas ainoa poikansa; hän lähetti myös sen viimeiseksi heidän tykönsä, sanoen: he karttavat minun poikaani.
7 But these husbandmen said to each other, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be our own.
Mutta ne peltomiehet sanoiat keskenänsä: tämä on perillinen: tulkaat, tappakaamme häntä, niin perintö jää meille.
8 And they took him, and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard.
Ja he ottivat hänen ja tappoivat, ja heittivät ulos viinamäestä.
9 What then will the lord of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy these husbandmen, and give his vineyard to others.
Mitäs viinamäen Herra on tekevä? Hän tulee ja hukkaa ne peltomiehet, ja antaa viinamäen muille.
10 Have ye never read this scripture? “The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner:
Ettekö te ole lukeneet tätä kirjoitusta: jonka kiven rakentajat hylkäsivät, se on tullut nurkkakiveksi.
11 this was the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes.”
Herralta on tämä tullut, ja on ihmeellinen meidän silmissämme.
12 And they sought to seize him, and were afraid of the people: for they knew that he had spoken this parable against them: and leaving him, they departed.
Ja he etsivät häntä kiinni ottaaksensa, ja pelkäsivät kansaa; sillä he ymmärsivät, että hän heille tämän vertauksen sanonut oli. Ja he jättivät hänen ja menivät pois.
13 And they sent unto him certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, that they might entrap him in discourse.
Ja he lähettivät hänen tykönsä muutamat Pharisealaisista ja Herodilaisista, solmeamaan häntä sanoissa.
14 And they come and say to him, Master, we know that thou art true, and carest not for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to pay tribute to Caesar, or not?
Ja he tulivat ja sanoivat hänelle: Mestari, me tiedämme, ettäs olet totinen ja et tottele ketään; sillä et sinä katso ihmisten muotoa, mutta opetat Jumalan tien totuudessa. Sopiiko keisarille antaa veron, taikka ei? Pitääkö meidän antaman, taikka ei antaman?
15 shall we pay, or shall we not pay it? but he, perceiving their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why tempt ye me? bring me a denarius, that I may see it.
Niin hän tiesi heidän viekkautensa, ja sanoi heille: mitä te kiusaatte minua? Tuokaat minulle raha nähdäkseni.
16 And they brought it. And he said unto them, Whose figure and inscription is this? they say unto him, Caesar’s.
Niin he toivat. Ja hän sanoi heille: kenenkä on tämä kuva ja päällekirjoitus? He sanoivat hänelle: keisarin.
17 And Jesus addressing them, said, Render the things which are Caesar’s, to Caesar; and what belongs to God, to God. And they marvelled at him.
Niin Jesus vastasi ja sanoi heille: antakaat keisarille, kuin keisarin ovat, ja Jumalalle, kuin Jumalan ovat. Ja he ihmettelivät häntä.
18 And the Sadducees come to him, who say that there is no resurrection; and they put a question to him, saying,
Niin hänen tykönsä tulivat Saddukealaiset, jotka sanovat, ettei nousemusta ole, ja kysyivät häneltä sanoen:
19 Master, Moses left it in writing for us, that if a man’s brother die, and leave a wife, and leave no children; that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed for his brother.
Mestari! Moses kirjoitti meille: jos jonkun veli kuolis, ja jättäis vaimon, ja ei lapsia, niin hänen veljensä pitää ottaman hänen vaimonsa ja herättämän veljellensä siemenen.
20 Now there were seven brothers; and the first took a wife, and dying left no issue:
Niin oli seitsemän veljeä. Ja ensimäinen otti vaimon, ja ei jättänyt kuoltuansa siementä.
21 and the second took her, and died, and neither did he leave issue; and the third in like manner.
Ja toinen otti hänen, ja kuoli, ja ei hänkään jättänyt siementä. Niin myös kolmas.
22 And the seven had her, and left no issue. Last of all died also the wife.
Ja hänen ottivat ne seitsemän, ja ei jättäneet siementä. Kaikkein viimein kuoli vaimo.
23 In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife of them shall she be? for the seven had the very same wife.
Sentähden ylösnousemisessa, kuin he nousevat ylös, kenenkä heistä vaimo pitää oleman? Sillä hän oli niille seitsemälle emäntänä.
24 And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, from not knowing the scriptures, and the power of God?
Ja Jesus vastaten sanoi heille: ettekö te sentähden eksy, ettette tiedä kirjoituksia, eikä Jumalan voimaa?
25 For when they rise from the dead, they will neither marry, nor be given in marriage; but they are as the angels which are in heaven.
Sillä kuin he kuolleista nousevat ylös, ei he nai eikä huole, mutta ovat niinkuin enkelit, jotka ovat taivaissa.
26 But concerning the dead, that they do rise; have ye not read in the book of Moses, how God spake to him at the bush, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?
Mutta kuolleista, että he nousevat, ettekö te ole lukeneet Moseksen Raamatussa, kuinka Jumala pensaassa hänelle puhui, sanoen: minä olen Abrahamin Jumala, ja Isaakin Jumala, ja Jakobin Jumala?
27 He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living. Ye are therefore vastly erroneous.
Ei Jumala ole kuolleiden, vaan elävien Jumala: te sentähden suuresti eksytte.
28 And one of the scribes coming, and hearing them questioning him, perceiving that he had answered them admirably, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
Ja kuin yksi kirjanoppineista tuli, joka kuuli heidän kamppailevan keskenänsä, ja näki, että hän hyvästi vastasi heitä, kysyi hän häneltä: kuka on kaikkein suurin käsky?
29 Then Jesus replied to him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear O Israel; the Lord thy God is one Lord:
Mutta Jesus vastasi häntä: tämä on kaikkein suurin käsky: kuule, Israel, Herra meidän Jumalamme on yksi Herra.
30 and thou shalt love the Lord thy God, with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength. This is the first commandment.
Ja sinun pitää rakastaman Herraa sinun Jumalaas kaikesta sydämestäs, ja kaikesta sinun sielustas, ja kaikesta sinun mielestäs, ja kaikesta sinun voimastas. Tämä on suurin käsky.
31 And the second, like it, is this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: there is no greater commandment than these.
Ja toinen senkaltainen on tämä: sinun pitää rakastaman sinun lähimmäistäs niinkuin itse sinuas. Ei ole näitä suurempaa käskyä.
32 And the scribe said unto him, Admirably, Master! thou hast spoken the very truth: for there is one God; and there is no other besides him:
Ja kirjanoppinut sanoi hänelle: oikein, Mestari, sinä sanoit totuuden; sillä yksi on Jumala, ja ei ole toista paitsi häntä:
33 and to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength; and to love his neighbour as himself, is better than all burnt offerings, and sacrifices.
Ja rakastaa häntä kaikesta sydämestä, ja kaikesta ymmärryksestä, ja kaikesta sielusta ja kaikesta väestä, ja rakastaa lähimmäistä niinkuin itsiänsä, se on enempi kuin kaikki polttouhrit ja muut uhrit.
34 And Jesus perceiving that he had answered as a man of intelligence, said to him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man thenceforth presumed to question him.
Ja koska Jesus näki, että hän toimellisesti vastasi, sanoi hän hänelle: et sinä ole kaukana Jumalan valtakunnasta. Ja ei tohtinut kenkään sitte häneltä enempää kysyä.
35 And Jesus addressing them said, as he taught in the temple, How say the scribes that the Messiah is the Son of David?
Ja Jesus vastasi ja sanoi, opettain templissä: kuinka sanovat kirjanoppineet, että Kristus on Davidin poika?
36 for David himself saith by the Spirit, The Lord said to my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thy enemies the foot-stool for thy feet.
Sillä David sanoi itse Pyhän Hengen kautta: Herra sanoi minun Herralleni: istu minun oikialle kädelleni siihenasti kuin minä panen sinun vihollises sinun jalkas astinlaudaksi.
37 David himself therefore calleth him Lord; and whence then is he his son? And a vast multitude heard him with delight.
Itse siis David sanoo hänen Herraksi; kuinka hän siis on hänen poikansa? Ja paljo kansaa kuuli häntä mielellänsä.
38 And he spake to them in the course of his teaching, Beware of the scribes, who love to go about in trailing robes, and like salutations in the places of concourse,
Ja hän opetti heitä ja sanoi heille: kavahtakaat kirjanoppineita, jotka mielellänsä pitkissä vaatteissa käyvät, ja antavat itseänsä turulla tervehtiä,
39 and the principal seats in the synagogues, and the first couch at suppers:
Ja rakastavat ylimmäisiä istuimia kokouksissa ja ensimäisiä sijoja ehtoollisissa,
40 who devour widows’ houses, and in pretence make long prayers: such shall receive greater damnation.
Jotka syövät leskein huoneet, ja muodoksi pitävät pitkät rukoukset. Nämät saavat sitä raskaamman kadotuksen.
41 And as Jesus was sitting opposite the treasury, he saw a multitude casting money into the treasury: and many who were rich cast in many pieces.
Ja kuin Jesus istui uhri-arkun kohdalla ja katseli, kuinka kansa pani rahaa uhri-arkkuun, ja monta rikasta pani paljon,
42 And one poor widow coming, cast in two mites, which is a farthing.
Niin tuli köyhä leski, ja pani kaksi ropoa, se on kuusinainen.
43 And having called his disciples, he said unto them, I tell you truly, that this poor widow hath cast in more than all who have cast into the treasury:
Niin hän kutsui opetuslapsensa tykönsä, ja sanoi heille: Totisesti sanon minä teille: tämä köyhä leski pani enemmän uhri-arkkuun kuin kaikki ne, jotka siihen panivat.
44 for all they have cast in of their superfluities; but she from her indigence hath cast in all that she had, even her whole substance.
Sillä he ovat kaikki panneet siitä, mitä heille liiaksi oli; mutta tämä köyhyydestänsä pani kaiken, mitä hänellä oli, kaiken tavaransa.
