James 2
1 MY brethren, hold not the faith of our glorious Lord Jesus shewing a respect for persons.
১হে মম ভ্ৰাতৰঃ, যূযম্ অস্মাকং তেজস্ৱিনঃ প্ৰভো ৰ্যীশুখ্ৰীষ্টস্য ধৰ্ম্মং মুখাপেক্ষযা ন ধাৰযত|
2 For if there come into your congregation a man with a gold ring, and in splendid apparel, and there come in also a poor man in a sordid garb;
২যতো যুষ্মাকং সভাযাং স্ৱৰ্ণাঙ্গুৰীযকযুক্তে ভ্ৰাজিষ্ণুপৰিচ্ছদে পুৰুষে প্ৰৱিষ্টে মলিনৱস্ত্ৰে কস্মিংশ্চিদ্ দৰিদ্ৰেঽপি প্ৰৱিষ্টে
3 and ye fix your eyes upon him who bears the splendid robe, and say to him, Sit thou here in an honourable place; and ye say to the poor man, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool:
৩যূযং যদি তং ভ্ৰাজিষ্ণুপৰিচ্ছদৱসানং জনং নিৰীক্ষ্য ৱদেত ভৱান্ অত্ৰোত্তমস্থান উপৱিশৎৱিতি কিঞ্চ তং দৰিদ্ৰং যদি ৱদেত ৎৱম্ অমুস্মিন্ স্থানে তিষ্ঠ যদ্ৱাত্ৰ মম পাদপীঠ উপৱিশেতি,
4 are you not thus partial among yourselves, and form your decision from bad reasonings?
৪তৰ্হি মনঃসু ৱিশেষ্য যূযং কিং কুতৰ্কৈঃ কুৱিচাৰকা ন ভৱথ?
5 Hear me, my beloved brethren. Hath not God elected the poor of this world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which God hath promised to those who love him;
৫হে মম প্ৰিযভ্ৰাতৰঃ, শৃণুত, সংসাৰে যে দৰিদ্ৰাস্তান্ ঈশ্ৱৰো ৱিশ্ৱাসেন ধনিনঃ স্ৱপ্ৰেমকাৰিভ্যশ্চ প্ৰতিশ্ৰুতস্য ৰাজ্যস্যাধিকাৰিণঃ কৰ্ত্তুং কিং ন ৱৰীতৱান্? কিন্তু দৰিদ্ৰো যুষ্মাভিৰৱজ্ঞাযতে|
6 but ye have put contempt on the poor man? Do not the rich men tyrannize over you? and they drag you to the tribunals.
৬ধনৱন্ত এৱ কিং যুষ্মান্ নোপদ্ৰৱন্তি বলাচ্চ ৱিচাৰাসনানাং সমীপং ন নযন্তি?
7 Do they not blaspheme that honourable name by which ye are called?
৭যুষ্মদুপৰি পৰিকীৰ্ত্তিতং পৰমং নাম কিং তৈৰেৱ ন নিন্দ্যতে?
8 If indeed ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
৮কিঞ্চ ৎৱং স্ৱসমীপৱাসিনি স্ৱাত্মৱৎ প্ৰীযস্ৱ, এতচ্ছাস্ত্ৰীযৱচনানুসাৰতো যদি যূযং ৰাজকীযৱ্যৱস্থাং পালযথ তৰ্হি ভদ্ৰং কুৰুথ|
9 but if ye have respect of persons, ye commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors.
৯যদি চ মুখাপেক্ষাং কুৰুথ তৰ্হি পাপম্ আচৰথ ৱ্যৱস্থযা চাজ্ঞালঙ্ঘিন ইৱ দূষ্যধ্ৱে|
10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, but offendeth in a single particular, he is chargeable with the breach of all.
১০যতো যঃ কশ্চিৎ কৃৎস্নাং ৱ্যৱস্থাং পালযতি স যদ্যেকস্মিন্ ৱিধৌ স্খলতি তৰ্হি সৰ্ৱ্ৱেষাম্ অপৰাধী ভৱতি|
11 For he that said, Thou shalt not commit adultery, said also, Thou shalt not commit murder. Now if thou dost not commit adultery, yet dost commit murder, thou art a transgressor of the law.
১১যতো হেতোস্ত্ৱং পৰদাৰান্ মা গচ্ছেতি যঃ কথিতৱান্ স এৱ নৰহত্যাং মা কুৰ্য্যা ইত্যপি কথিতৱান্ তস্মাৎ ৎৱং পৰদাৰান্ ন গৎৱা যদি নৰহত্যাং কৰোষি তৰ্হি ৱ্যৱস্থালঙ্ঘী ভৱসি|
12 So speak, and so act, as those who shall be judged by the law of liberty.
১২মুক্তে ৰ্ৱ্যৱস্থাতো যেষাং ৱিচাৰেণ ভৱিতৱ্যং তাদৃশা লোকা ইৱ যূযং কথাং কথযত কৰ্ম্ম কুৰুত চ|
13 For judgment without mercy shall be on him who shewed no mercy, and mercy glorieth against judgment.
১৩যো দযাং নাচৰতি তস্য ৱিচাৰো নিৰ্দ্দযেন কাৰিষ্যতে, কিন্তু দযা ৱিচাৰম্ অভিভৱিষ্যতি|
14 What is the advantage, my brethren, if a man profess to have faith, but hath not works; can faith save him?
১৪হে মম ভ্ৰাতৰঃ, মম প্ৰত্যযোঽস্তীতি যঃ কথযতি তস্য কৰ্ম্মাণি যদি ন ৱিদ্যন্ত তৰ্হি তেন কিং ফলং? তেন প্ৰত্যযেন কিং তস্য পৰিত্ৰাণং ভৱিতুং শক্নোতি?
15 Now if a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
১৫কেষুচিদ্ ভ্ৰাতৃষু ভগিনীষু ৱা ৱসনহীনেষু প্ৰাত্যহিকাহাৰহীনেষু চ সৎসু যুষ্মাকং কোঽপি তেভ্যঃ শৰীৰাৰ্থং প্ৰযোজনীযানি দ্ৰৱ্যাণি ন দৎৱা যদি তান্ ৱদেৎ,
16 and should one of you say to them, Go in peace, be warm, be replenished with food: yet if ye give them not the necessaries for their body; what doth it avail?
১৬যূযং সকুশলং গৎৱোষ্ণগাত্ৰা ভৱত তৃপ্যত চেতি তৰ্হ্যেতেন কিং ফলং?
17 So also faith, if it hath not works, is dead itself.
১৭তদ্ৱৎ প্ৰত্যযো যদি কৰ্ম্মভি ৰ্যুক্তো ন ভৱেৎ তৰ্হ্যেকাকিৎৱাৎ মৃত এৱাস্তে|
18 Perhaps a man will say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith by thy works, and I will shew thee by my works my faith.
১৮কিঞ্চ কশ্চিদ্ ইদং ৱদিষ্যতি তৱ প্ৰত্যযো ৱিদ্যতে মম চ কৰ্ম্মাণি ৱিদ্যন্তে, ৎৱং কৰ্ম্মহীনং স্ৱপ্ৰত্যযং মাং দৰ্শয তৰ্হ্যহমপি মৎকৰ্ম্মভ্যঃ স্ৱপ্ৰত্যযং ৎৱাং দৰ্শযিষ্যামি|
19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe and tremble.
১৯এক ঈশ্ৱৰো ঽস্তীতি ৎৱং প্ৰত্যেষি| ভদ্ৰং কৰোষি| ভূতা অপি তৎ প্ৰতিযন্তি কম্পন্তে চ|
20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
২০কিন্তু হে নিৰ্ব্বোধমানৱ, কৰ্ম্মহীনঃ প্ৰত্যযো মৃত এৱাস্ত্যেতদ্ অৱগন্তুং কিম্ ইচ্ছসি?
21 Was not our father Abraham justified by works, when he offered up Isaac his son upon the altar?
২১অস্মাকং পূৰ্ৱ্ৱপুৰুষো য ইব্ৰাহীম্ স্ৱপুত্ৰম্ ইস্হাকং যজ্ঞৱেদ্যাম্ উৎসৃষ্টৱান্ স কিং কৰ্ম্মভ্যো ন সপুণ্যীকৃতঃ?
22 Thou seest that faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith consummated.
২২প্ৰত্যযে তস্য কৰ্ম্মণাং সহকাৰিণি জাতে কৰ্ম্মভিঃ প্ৰত্যযঃ সিদ্ধো ঽভৱৎ তৎ কিং পশ্যসি?
23 And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith, “Abraham believed God, and it was imputed to him for righteousness;” and he was called “the friend of God.”
২৩ইত্থঞ্চেদং শাস্ত্ৰীযৱচনং সফলম্ অভৱৎ, ইব্ৰাহীম্ পৰমেশ্ৱৰে ৱিশ্ৱসিতৱান্ তচ্চ তস্য পুণ্যাযাগণ্যত স চেশ্ৱৰস্য মিত্ৰ ইতি নাম লব্ধৱান্|
24 Observe therefore that by works a man is justified, and not by faith merely.
২৪পশ্যত মানৱঃ কৰ্ম্মভ্যঃ সপুণ্যীক্ৰিযতে ন চৈকাকিনা প্ৰত্যযেন|
25 But was not Rahab the harlot in like manner justified by works, when she entertained the messengers, and sent them away by a different road?
২৫তদ্ৱদ্ যা ৰাহব্নামিকা ৱাৰাঙ্গনা চাৰান্ অনুগৃহ্যাপৰেণ মাৰ্গেণ ৱিসসৰ্জ সাপি কিং কৰ্ম্মভ্যো ন সপুণ্যীকৃতা?
26 For as the body without breath is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
২৬অতএৱাত্মহীনো দেহো যথা মৃতোঽস্তি তথৈৱ কৰ্ম্মহীনঃ প্ৰত্যযোঽপি মৃতোঽস্তি|
