< Hebrews 10 >

1 NOW the law, having a shadow of the good things which were to come, not the very substance of the things, cannot possibly, by the same sacrifices which they offer year by year continually, make those perfect who approach God;
Mmara no yɛ nneɛma pa nsususoɔ a ɛreba, na mmom, ɛnnyɛ nneɛma pa no ankasa. Wɔbɔ afɔdeɛ korɔ no ara afe biara, ɛfiri sɛ saa afɔdeɛ korɔ a wɔbɔ no afeafe rentumi mma nnipa a wɔsom no nnyɛ pɛ da.
2 else they would have discontinued to make the offering, because they who performed the service being once made clean, would have had no more sense of sins on their conscience.
Sɛ nnipa a wɔresom Onyankopɔn no tumi firi wɔn bɔne mu yɛ pɛ a, ɛnneɛ anka wɔrenni bɔne ho fɔ bio, na ne saa enti, afɔrebɔ nyinaa to bɛtwa.
3 But in these sacrifices there is a commemoration of sins every year.
Deɛ saa afɔrebɔ yi yɛ ne sɛ, ɛkae wɔn wɔn bɔne afe biara.
4 For it is impossible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sin.
Anantwie ne mmirekyie mogya rentumi mpepa bɔne.
5 Wherefore, coming into the world, he saith, “Sacrifice and oblation thou hast not chosen, but thou hast exactly fashioned a body for me:
Esiane saa enti, ɛberɛ a Kristo rebɛba ewiase no, ɔka kyerɛɛ Onyankopɔn sɛ: “Wommpɛ afɔrebɔ ne ayɛyɛdeɛ nanso woasiesie ɔhonam ama me.
6 thou hast had no delight in whole burnt-offerings and sacrifices for sin:
Wʼani nnnye ɔhyeɛ ne bɔne afɔdeɛ anaa afɔdeɛ a wɔbɔ de pepa bɔne ho.
7 then I said, Here am I; (in the volume of the book it is written of me) I come to do thy will, O God.”
Afei, mekaa sɛ: ‘Mewɔ ha rebɛyɛ deɛ wopɛ sɛ meyɛ sɛdeɛ wɔatwerɛ afa me ho wɔ Mmara nwoma no mu no.’”
8 Having said before that sacrifice, and oblation, and whole burnt-offerings and sin-offerings thou hast not chosen, nor takest pleasure in, (which are offered according to the law, )
Kane no ɔkaa sɛ, “Wompɛ, na wʼani nso nnnye afɔrebɔ ne ayɛyɛdeɛ a wɔde pepa bɔne ho.” Ɛwom, na Mmara no kyerɛ sɛ wɔnyɛ saa.
9 he then added, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He abolishes the first that he may establish the second.
Na ɔkaa sɛ, “Mewɔ ha rebɛyɛ deɛ wopɛ sɛ meyɛ.” Ɛno enti, Onyankopɔn agu tete afɔrebɔ no nyinaa na ɔde Kristo afɔrebɔ no asi ananmu.
10 By the which will we are sanctified through the oblation of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all.
Esiane sɛ Yesu Kristo yɛɛ sɛdeɛ Onyankopɔn hwehwɛ sɛ ɔnyɛ no enti, ɔnam ne honam a ɔde bɔɔ afɔdeɛ prɛko maa yɛn no so ama yɛn ho ate afiri bɔne ho.
11 And every priest standeth indeed daily performing the divine service, and frequently offering the same sacrifices, which cannot possibly take away sins:
Ɛda biara Yudani ɔsɔfoɔ sɔre yɛ nʼasɔfodwuma na wabɔ afɔdeɛ mpɛn bebree. Nanso, saa afɔdeɛ yi rentumi mpepa bɔne.
12 but this person, having offered one sacrifice for sins, for ever hath seated himself at the right hand of God;
Kristo deɛ, ɔbɔɔ bɔne ho afɔdeɛ. Afɔdeɛ a ɛtena daa nyinaa. Na ɛno akyi, ɔtenaa Onyankopɔn nifa so.
13 henceforth waiting till his enemies be put as a footstool for his feet.
Ɛhɔ na ɔretwɛn seesei kɔsi sɛ Onyankopɔn bɛma nʼatamfoɔ ayɛ ne nan ntiasoɔ.
14 For by one oblation he hath made those perfect for ever who are sanctified.
Ɔnam afɔrebɔ baako so ama nnebɔneyɛfoɔ ho ate daa nyinaa.
15 Now the Holy Ghost also beareth this testimony to us: for after declaring before,
Na Honhom Kronkron no nso di adanseɛ. Deɛ ɛdi ɛkan no, ɔka sɛ,
16 “This is the testament which I will appoint to them after those days, saith the Lord; giving my laws to their hearts, even on their minds will I inscribe them;”
“Yei ne apam a me ne wɔn bɛpam wɔ ɛberɛ a ɛreba no mu. Awurade na ɔseɛ: Mede me mmara bɛhyɛ wɔn akoma mu na matwerɛ agu wɔn adwene mu.”
17 he adds, “and their sins and their iniquities I will in no wise remember any more.”
Na afei waka sɛ, “Merenkae wɔn bɔne ne wɔn amumuyɛ bio.”
18 Now where there is remission of these, no more offering for sin is needed.
Sɛ wɔde yeinom nyinaa kyɛ a, na afɔdeɛ a wɔbɔ de pepa bɔne no ho nhia bio.
19 Having therefore, brethren, entire liberty of entrance into the holies by the blood of Jesus―
Anuanom, ɛsiane Yesu wuo no enti, yɛade yɛn ho koraa sɛ yɛbɛkɔ Kronkronbea hɔ.
20 a way, which he hath consecrated for us, newly opened, and giving life, through the vail, that is, his flesh;
Ɔnam ɔno ara ne honam so abue ɛkwan foforɔ a nkwa wɔ mu ama yɛn.
21 and having a great priest over the house of God,
Yɛwɔ ɔsɔfoɔ kɛseɛ bi a ɔhwɛ Onyankopɔn fie so.
22 let us come to him with a true heart, in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and the body washed with pure water:
Momma yɛmfa akoma pa ne gyidie a emu yɛ den ntwe mmɛn Onyankopɔn. Ɛfiri sɛ wɔde Yesu mmogya ate yɛn atiboa bɔne ho, na wɔde nsuo a ɛyɛ kronn adware yɛn onipadua ho.
23 let us hold fast the profession of hope unwavering, (for he who promises is faithful.)
Momma yɛnnyina gyidie a yɛasɔ mu no mu denden, ɛfiri sɛ, deɛ ɔhyɛɛ yɛn bɔ no yɛ ɔnokwafoɔ.
24 and let us attentively observe one another, to excite an ardour of love and of good works:
Momma yɛn ho yɛn ho asɛm nhia yɛn na yɛnnodɔ yɛn ho yɛn ho na yɛnyɛ papa.
25 not deserting the assembling of ourselves together, as is the custom with some, but exhorting to it; and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Mommma yɛnnnyae yɛn ho yɛn ho nhyiamu da sɛdeɛ afoforɔ bi yɛ no. Mmom, momma yɛnhyɛ yɛn ho yɛn ho nkuran dendeenden, ɛfiri sɛ, mo ara mohunu sɛ ɛrenkyɛre na ɛda no aba.
26 For if we sin wilfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no more sacrifice for sins remaineth;
Sɛ moboapa kɔ so yɛ bɔne a, afɔrebɔ biara nni hɔ a ɛbɛpepa mo bɔne, ɛfiri sɛ, wɔada nokorɛ no adi akyerɛ yɛn.
27 but a certain terrible expectation of judgment, and a burning indignation, ready to devour these enemies.
Deɛ ɛwɔ hɔ ara ma wɔn a wɔtia Onyankopɔn ne atemmuo ne ogya a ɛbɛba abɛhye wɔn.
28 Any man who treated the law of Moses with neglect, was put to death, without mercy, on the deposition of two or three witnesses:
Obiara a ɔbu Mose Mmara no so no, sɛ adansefoɔ baanu anaa baasa adansedie enti, wɔbu atɛn tia no a, wɔbɛkum no a wɔrenhunu no mmɔbɔ.
29 by how much, think ye, shall he be counted worthy of more condign punishment who hath trampled on the Son of God, and regarded the blood of his testament, by which he was sanctified, as an unclean thing, and hath treated the gracious Spirit contumeliously?
Na obi a watiatia Onyankopɔn Ba no so, na ɔmmfa Onyankopɔn mogya apam no a ɛgyee no firii bɔne mu no nyɛ hwee anaa deɛ ɔtiatia Honhom a ɔma adom no anim no, ɛdeɛn na ɛbɛto no? Asotwe a onii no bɛnya no nnyɛ adewa.
30 For we know him who declares, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, saith the Lord.” And again, “The Lord will judge his people.”
Yɛnim sɛ Onyankopɔn kaa sɛ, “Me na aweretɔ wɔ me, na me na metua ka,” na ɔno ara na ɔsane kaa sɛ, “Awurade bɛbu ne nkurɔfoɔ atɛn.”
31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Onyankopɔn a ɔte ase no nsam amanenya yɛ hu.
32 But remember the past days in which, after ye had been illuminated, ye endured a great conflict of sufferings;
Monkae ahohia a mokɔɔ mu ɛberɛ a mohunuu hann no, momiaa mo ani hunuu ɔko bebree mu amaneɛ.
33 partly while publicly exposed to revilings and tribulations, partly as being in communion with those who were treated in this manner.
Ebi ne sɛ, mpɛn bebree wɔyeyɛɛ mo, guu mo anim ase badwam; na ɛtɔ da bi mpo a, na moasiesie mo ho sɛ mobɛka wɔn a wɔrehunu amaneɛ no ho.
34 For ye have been fellow-sufferers with my bonds, and received with joy the plundering of your properties, knowing in yourselves that you have in the heavens a better substance, and permanent.
Mo ne nneduafoɔ daa afiase na wɔfaa mo ahodeɛ nyinaa no mpo, monyaa ho boasetɔ, ɛfiri sɛ, monim sɛ ɛyɛ dɛn ara a mowɔ ade pa bi a ɛbɛtena hɔ daa.
35 Recede not therefore from your boldness of profession, which brings a great recompence of reward.
Mommma mo akoma nntu na moanhwere mo akatua.
36 For ye have need of patience, that after ye have done the will of God, ye may receive the promise.
Ɛsɛ sɛ moto mo bo ase na moatumi ayɛ Onyankopɔn apɛdeɛ ama mo nsa aka deɛ wɔahyɛ mo ho bɔ no.
37 For yet a little, very little while, and he that is coming will come, and will not delay.
Ɛfiri sɛ, Atwerɛsɛm no ka sɛ, “Ɛrenkyɛre koraa na deɛ ɛsɛ sɛ ɔba no aba; ɔrentwentwɛn.
38 “The just man then will live by faith;” and if he draw back, my soul shall have no delight in him.
Na, “Deɛ ɔtene no firi gyidie mu bɛnya nkwa, na sɛ ɔtwe ne ho a, me kra ani rensɔ no.”
39 But we are not of those who turn back unto perdition; but of those who believe to the salvation of the soul.
Yɛnnyɛ nnipa a yɛsane yɛn akyi na yɛyera. Mmom, yɛwɔ gyidie na wɔagye yɛn nkwa.
