Galatians 4
1 NOW I affirm, that as long as the heir is an infant, he differeth nothing from a servant, though he be master of all;
௧பின்னும் நான் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால், வாரிசானவன் எல்லாவற்றிற்கும் எஜமானாக இருந்தும், அவன் சிறுபிள்ளையாக இருக்கும் காலம்வரைக்கும், அவனுக்கும் அடிமையானவனுக்கும் வித்தியாசம் இல்லை.
2 but is under tutors and trustees until the time fixed by his father.
௨தகப்பன் குறித்த காலம்வரைக்கும் அவன் காப்பாளருக்கும் வீட்டு விசாரணைக்காரர்களுக்கும் கீழ்ப்பட்டிருக்கிறான்.
3 So we also, when we were infants, were in bondage under the first elementary principles of the world:
௩அப்படியே நாமும் சிறுபிள்ளைகளாக இருந்தகாலத்தில் இந்த உலகத்தின் வழிபாடுகளுக்கு அடிமைப்பட்டவர்களாக இருந்தோம்.
4 but when the fulness of time was come, God sent forth his Son born of a woman, born under the law,
௪நாம் புத்திரசுவிகாரத்தை அடைவதற்காக நியாயப்பிரமாணத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்பட்டவர்களை மீட்டுக்கொள்ளத்தக்கதாக,
5 that he might redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
௫காலம் நிறைவேறினபோது, பெண்ணிடத்தில் பிறந்தவரும் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்திற்குக் கீழானவருமாகிய தம்முடைய குமாரனை தேவன் அனுப்பினார்.
6 But because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father!
௬மேலும் நீங்கள் பிள்ளைகளாக இருக்கிறதினால், அப்பா, பிதாவே! என்று கூப்பிடுவதற்காக தேவன் தமது குமாரனுடைய ஆவியை உங்களுடைய இருதயங்களில் அனுப்பினார்.
7 Therefore thou art no more a slave, but a son, and if a son, an heir also of God through Christ.
௭ஆகவே, இனி நீ அடிமையாக இல்லாமல் அவருடைய பிள்ளையாக இருக்கிறாய்; நீ அவருடைய பிள்ளையென்றால், கிறிஸ்து மூலமாக தேவனுடைய வாரிசாகவும் இருக்கிறாய்.
8 But at that time when ye knew not God, ye served those who by nature are not gods.
௮நீங்கள் தேவனை அறியாமல் இருந்தபோது, சுபாவத்தின்படி தேவர்களாக இல்லாதவர்களுக்கு அடிமைகளாக இருந்தீர்கள்.
9 But now after having known God, or rather being known of God, how turn ye back again to those weak and beggarly elements, to which again a second time ye desire to be in bondage?
௯இப்பொழுதோ நீங்கள் தேவனை அறிந்திருக்க அல்லது தேவனாலே அறியப்பட்டிருக்க, பெலன் இல்லாததும் வெறுமையானதுமான அந்த வழிபாடுகளுக்கு நீங்கள் மீண்டும் திரும்பி, மீண்டும் அவைகளுக்கு அடிமைகளாவதற்கு விரும்புகிறது ஏன்?
10 Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years.
௧0நாட்களையும், மாதங்களையும், காலங்களையும், வருடங்களையும் கடைபிடித்து வருகிறீர்களே.
11 I am afraid for you, lest haply I have bestowed on you labour in vain.
௧௧நான் உங்களுக்காகப் பிரயாசப்பட்டது வீணாகப் போனதோ என்று உங்களைக்குறித்துப் பயந்திருக்கிறேன்.
12 Be as I am, for I also am as ye are, brethren―this is my request to you: ye have not injured me in the least.
௧௨சகோதரர்களே, என்னைப்போல மாறுங்கள் என்று உங்களை வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுகிறேன்; நான் உங்களைப்போலும் ஆனேனே. எனக்கு நீங்கள் அநியாயம் எதுவும் செய்யவில்லை.
13 Ye know that with infirmity of flesh I preached to you the gospel at the first.
௧௩உங்களுக்குத் தெரிந்திருக்கிறபடி, நான் என்னுடைய சரீர பலவீனத்தினிமித்தம் முதலாம்முறை உங்களுக்கு நற்செய்தியைப் பிரசங்கித்தேன்.
14 And my temptation, which was in my flesh, ye despised not, nor rejected with disgust; but as an angel of God ye received me, even as Christ Jesus himself.
௧௪அப்படி இருந்தும், என் சரீரத்தில் இருக்கிற பெலவீனம் உங்களுக்கு சோதனையாக இருந்தாலும் நீங்கள் என்னை வெறுக்காமலும், தள்ளிவிடாமலும், தேவதூதனைப்போலவும், கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவைப்போலவும் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டீர்கள்.
15 What then was your blessedness, for I bear witness to you that, if it were possible, ye would have plucked out your eyes, and given them to me.
௧௫அப்பொழுது நீங்கள் கொண்டிருந்த ஆனந்தபாக்கியம் எங்கே? உங்களுடைய கண்களைப் பிடுங்கி எனக்குக் கொடுக்கமுடியும் என்றால், அதையும் செய்திருப்பீர்கள் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சாட்சியாக இருக்கிறேன்.
16 Am I therefore become your enemy because I tell you the truth?
௧௬நான் உங்களுக்குச் சத்தியத்தைச் சொன்னதினாலே உங்களுக்கு எதிரியாக ஆனேனோ?
17 They affect zeal for you, not honourably; but they wish to exclude us, that you may be zealously attached to them.
௧௭அவர்கள் வைராக்கியத்தோடு உங்களைத் தேடுகிறார்கள்; ஆனாலும் நல்லமனதோடு அப்படிச் செய்யாமல், நீங்கள் என்னைவிட்டுவிட்டு, அவர்களை வைராக்கியத்தோடு பின்பற்றவேண்டும் என்று விரும்புகிறார்கள்.
18 It is good indeed to be zealously affected in a good cause always, and not only when I am present with you.
௧௮நல்லக் காரியத்திற்காக, நான் உங்களோடு இருக்கும்பொழுது மட்டுமில்லை, எப்பொழுதும் வைராக்கியம் கொள்வது நல்லதுதான்.
19 My little children of whom I travail in birth again, until Christ be formed in you,
௧௯என் சிறுப்பிள்ளைகளே, கிறிஸ்து உங்களுக்குள் உருவாகும்வரைக்கும் உங்களுக்காக மீண்டும் கர்ப்பவேதனைப்படுகிறேன்;
20 I wish I could be with you now, and change my address; for I am in doubt about you.
௨0உங்களைக்குறித்து நான் சந்தேகப்படுகிறதினால், நான் இப்பொழுது உங்களிடம் வந்து, வேறுவிதமாகப் பேச விரும்புகிறேன்.
21 Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?
௨௧நியாயப்பிரமாணத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்பட்டிருக்க விரும்புகிற நீங்கள் நியாயப்பிரமாணம் சொல்லுகிறதைக் கேட்கவில்லையா? இதை எனக்குச் சொல்லுங்கள்.
22 For it is written that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondwoman, and the other by a free.
௨௨ஆபிரகாமுக்கு இரண்டு குமாரர்கள் இருந்தார்கள் என்று எழுதியிருக்கிறது; ஒருவன் அடிமையான பெண்ணுக்கும் மற்றொருவன் சுதந்திரமான பெண்ணுக்கும் பிறந்தவன்.
23 Now the son of the bond-maid was born after the flesh, but that by the free woman was by promise.
௨௩அடிமையானவளுக்குப் பிறந்தவன் சரீரத்தின்படி பிறந்தான், சுதந்திரமுள்ளவளுக்குப் பிறந்தவன் வாக்குத்தத்தத்தின்படி பிறந்தான்.
24 Which things are allegorical; for these are the two covenants, the one from mount Sinai, gendering unto bondage, which is represented by Agar.
௨௪இவைகள் ஞான அர்த்தம் உள்ளவைகள்; அந்த இரண்டு பெண்களும் இரண்டு ஏற்பாடுகளாம்; ஒன்று சீனாய்மலையில் உண்டான ஏற்பாடு, அது அடிமைத்தனத்திற்குள்ளாகக் குழந்தைப் பெறுகிறது, அது ஆகார் என்பவள் தானே.
25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and corresponds with Jerusalem that now is, and is in bondage with her children.
௨௫ஆகார் என்பது அரபிதேசத்தில் உள்ள சீனாய்மலை; அந்த ஆகார் இப்பொழுது இருக்கிற எருசலேமுக்கு அடையாளம்; ஏனென்றால், இவள் தன் பிள்ளைகளோடு அடிமைப்பட்டிருக்கிறாளே.
26 But the Jerusalem above is free, which is the mother of us all.
௨௬மேலான எருசலேமோ சுதந்திரம் உள்ளவள், அவளே நம்மெல்லோருக்கும் தாயானவள்.
27 For it is written, “Rejoice, thou barren who bearest not, cry out and shout for joy, thou that travailest not, for more are the children of her that was desolate, than of her which had an husband.”
௨௭அந்தப்படி பிள்ளைபெறாத மலடியே, மகிழ்ந்திரு; கர்ப்பவேதனைப்படாதவளே, மகிழ்ச்சியாக எழும்பி ஆர்ப்பரி; கணவன் உள்ளவளைவிட மலடியான பெண்ணுக்கே அதிக பிள்ளைகள் உண்டு என்று எழுதியிருக்கிறது.
28 So we, brethren, as Isaac, are the children of the promise.
௨௮சகோதரர்களே, நாம் ஈசாக்கைப்போல வாக்குத்தத்தத்தின் பிள்ளைகளாக இருக்கிறோம்.
29 But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so is it now.
௨௯ஆனாலும் சரீரத்தின்படி பிறந்தவன் ஆவியின்படி பிறந்தவனை அப்பொழுது துன்பப்படுத்தினதுபோல, இப்பொழுதும் நடந்துவருகிறது.
30 But what saith the scripture? “Cast out the bond-woman and her son for the son of the bond-maid shall in no wise inherit with the son of the free woman.”
௩0அதைக்குறித்து வேதம் என்ன சொல்லுகிறது: அடிமையானவளின் மகன் சுதந்திரமுள்ளவளுடைய மகனோடு வாரிசாக இருப்பதில்லை; ஆகவே, அடிமையானவளையும், அவளுடைய மகனையும் வெளியே தள்ளு என்று சொல்லுகிறது.
31 So then, brethren, we are not the children of the bondwoman, but of the free.
௩௧இப்படியிருக்க, சகோதரர்களே, நாம் அடிமையானவளுக்குப் பிள்ளைகளாக இல்லாமல், சுதந்திரமுள்ளவளுக்கே பிள்ளைகளாக இருக்கிறோம்.
