2 Peter 2
1 BUT there were false prophets among the people, as there will be false teachers also among you, who wickedly introduce damnable heresies, and deny the sovereign Lord who bought them, bringing on themselves swift destruction.
Pero hubo falsos profetas entre el pueblo, como habrá falsos maestros entre ustedes, que secretamente presentarán enseñanzas erróneas para su destrucción, e incluso negarán al Señor que se entregó a sí mismo por ellos; cuya destrucción vendrá rápidamente, y ellos mismos serán la causa de ello.
2 And many will go out of the way after their fatal errors; by means of whom the way of truth will be injuriously reviled.
Y un gran número irá con ellos en sus malos caminos, y por quienes el camino verdadero tendrá un mal nombre.
3 And with plausible speeches will they avariciously make gain of you whose condemnation from of old lingereth not, and their perdition doth not slumber.
Y en su afán de lucro vendrán a ti con palabras de engaño, como comerciantes que hacen negocios en las almas: cuyo castigo ha estado listo por un largo tiempo y su destrucción los está esperando.
4 For if God spared not the angels when they sinned, but casting them bound in chains of darkness into hell, delivered them to be kept fast until the judgment; (Tartaroō g5020)
Porque si Dios no perdonó a los ángeles que pecaron, sino que los envió al infierno, y los encadenó y dejó en tinieblas para ser guardados para el juicio; (Tartaroō g5020)
5 and spared not the old world, but guarded safely Noah the eighth person, the preacher of righteousness, when he brought a deluge on the world of the ungodly:
Y no tuvo piedad del mundo antiguo, sino que mantuvo a salvo Noé, un predicador de justicia, con otros siete, trayendo el diluvio sobre el mundo de los malhechores;
6 and reducing the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to ashes, condemned them to final destruction, making them an example for all who in future should live ungodly;
Y envió destrucción sobre Sodoma y Gomorra, reduciéndolos a ceniza como un ejemplo para aquellos cuya forma de vida podría ser desagradable para él en el futuro;
7 but righteous Lot, afflicted grievously with the infamously impure conduct of those lawless men, he plucked out:
Y salvo Lot, el hombre justo, que estaba profundamente perturbado por la vida inmunda de los malhechores,
8 for by seeing and hearing, that righteous man whilst sojourning among them, suffered torment day by day in his righteous soul from their lawless doings;
Porque el alma de ese hombre justo que vivía entre ellos se dolía día a día al ver y escuchar sus crímenes.
9 the Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptation, but to reserve the wicked unto the day of judgment to be punished:
El Señor sabe librar de la prueba a los justos en el momento de la prueba, y de mantener a los malvados bajo castigo hasta el día de juicio;
10 especially such as walk after the flesh in the eager pursuit of defilement, and despise government. Daring, self-sufficient, they tremble not at dignities, railing against them.
Pero especialmente a los que persiguen los deseos impuros de la carne y se burlan de la autoridad del Señor, son tercos y atrevidos, sin control, no tienen miedo de insultar a los poderes superiores:
11 Whereas the angels, though so much greater in might and power, bring not a reviling accusation against them before the Lord.
En cambio los ángeles, aunque tienen más fuerza y autoridad, no se atreven a condenar con insultos contra ellos ante el Señor.
12 But these men, as the naturally irrational brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speaking evil of the things of which they are ignorant, will perish by their own corruption;
Pero estos hombres, son como las bestias sin razón, viven solo por instinto y nacen para que los atrapen y los maten. Hablan contra cosas de las que no tienen conocimiento, morirán en su propia perdición.
13 receiving the recompence of iniquity, counting daily luxury their pleasure; spots and blemishes, when they feast together with you; riotously indulging in their own delusions:
Y recibirán la recompensa de su maldad, sufriendo por lo que han hecho sufrir a otros. Se creen felices con los placeres del momento, son una vergüenza y un escándalo cuando comen con ustedes, divirtiéndose con sus placeres engañosos; son como marcas de una enfermedad, como heridas envenenadas entre ustedes, festejando juntos con alegría;
14 having eyes full of adultery, and insatiable of sin; ensnaring souls of no stability; having a heart practised in all the wiles of covetousness; children for a curse:
Teniendo los ojos llenos de adulterio, nunca se cansan del pecado; volviendo las almas débiles fuera del camino verdadero; son hijos de maldiciones, cuyos corazones están acostumbrados a la amarga envidia;
15 who forsaking the strait road are gone out of the way, following the path of Balaam the son of Bosor who loved the wages of iniquity.
Se han desviado del camino verdadero, anduvieron vagando, siguiendo el camino de Balaam, el hijo de Beor, quien se complació en recibir el pago por la maldad;
16 But received a reproof for his peculiar transgression: the dumb ass articulating with a human voice restrained the perverseness of the prophet.
Pero su maldad le fue señalada: un asno, hablando con la voz de un hombre, puso fin a la locura del profeta.
17 These are fountains without water, clouds driven by a hurricane; for whom the blackness of darkness for ever is reserved. (questioned)
Estos maestros son como pozos sin agua, y como nubes llevadas por el viento antes de una tormenta; para quienes la oscuridad eterna es reservada para siempre. (questioned)
18 Uttering pompous discourses of inanity, ensnaring by the lusts of the flesh, by lascivious impurities, those who had truly escaped from such as live in a course of delusion.
Porque con palabras falsas y altisonantes, haciendo uso de la atracción de los deseos impuros de la carne, seducen a aquellos a quienes a duras penas logran escapar de aquellos que están viviendo en error;
19 Preaching liberty to them, while they themselves are the slaves of corruption: for by whatever a man is overcome, by that also he is enslaved.
Diciendo que serán libres, mientras que ellos mismos son los siervos de la destrucción; porque todo hombre es esclavo de aquello que lo ha dominado.
20 For if having escaped from the defilements of the world by the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again enveloped by them and overcome, their last deeds are worse than the first.
Porque si, después de haber sido liberados de las cosas inmundas del mundo por el conocimiento del Señor y Salvador Jesucristo, son nuevamente llevados a la red y vencidos, su última condición es peor que la primera.
21 For it had been better for them never to have been acquainted with the way of righteousness, than, after knowing it, to have turned aside from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
Porque mejor les hubiera sido no haber conocido el camino de la justicia, que volver a partir de la santa ley que les fue dada, después de haber tenido conocimiento de él.
22 But the true proverb is verified in them, The dog hath returned to his own vomit; and the sow which was washed to its wallowing in the mire.
Son un ejemplo de ese verdadero dicho: el perro ha vuelto a su propio vómito, y al cerdo que había sido lavado vuelve a revolcarse en él lodo.
