< 2 Peter 2 >
1 BUT there were false prophets among the people, as there will be false teachers also among you, who wickedly introduce damnable heresies, and deny the sovereign Lord who bought them, bringing on themselves swift destruction.
Ma na mgbe ochie ahụ kwa, e nwere ọtụtụ ndị amụma ụgha nʼetiti ha, dịka a ga-esi nwee ndị ozizi ụgha nʼetiti unu. Ndị a ga-esite na nzuzo na-ewebata ozizi ọjọọ nke na-eweta ịla nʼiyi, ha ga-agọnarị ọ bụladị onye kachasị ihe niile, bụ Onyenwe, onye gbapụtara ha. Ha na-eweta ịla nʼiyi na mberede, na-atụkwasị onwe ha nʼisi.
2 And many will go out of the way after their fatal errors; by means of whom the way of truth will be injuriously reviled.
3 And with plausible speeches will they avariciously make gain of you whose condemnation from of old lingereth not, and their perdition doth not slumber.
Nʼanya ukwu ha, ndị nkuzi ụgha ndị a ga-eji okwu nrafu rigbuo unu nʼuru. Site na mgbe ochie, onye ga-ekpe ha ikpe dị njikere. Onye ga-ala ha nʼiyi anaghị arahụ ụra.
4 For if God spared not the angels when they sinned, but casting them bound in chains of darkness into hell, delivered them to be kept fast until the judgment; (Tartaroō )
Ọ bụrụ na Chineke ahapụghị ndị mmụọ ozi ahụ mgbe ha mehiere, kama o weere ha kpọchie nʼime ala mmụọ, ebe e kere ha agbụ na-eche ụbọchị ikpe ahụ. (Tartaroō )
5 and spared not the old world, but guarded safely Noah the eighth person, the preacher of righteousness, when he brought a deluge on the world of the ungodly:
Ọ bụrụkwa na o mereghị ndị ụwa nke mbụ ebere mgbe o mere ka uju mmiri bịakwasị ndị bi na ya na-amaghị Chineke, kama ọ zọpụtara naanị Noa bụ onye kwusara ezi omume na mmadụ asaa ndị ọzọ.
6 and reducing the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to ashes, condemned them to final destruction, making them an example for all who in future should live ungodly;
Ọ bụrụ na ọ mara obodo Sọdọm na Gọmọra ikpe site nʼiwere ọkụ rechapụ ha, mee ha ihe ịmaatụ banyere ihe gaje ịbịakwasị ndị na-amaghị Chineke;
7 but righteous Lot, afflicted grievously with the infamously impure conduct of those lawless men, he plucked out:
ọ bụrụkwa na ọ napụtara Lọt bụ onye ezi omume, onye ndụ ọjọọ nke ndị na-emebi iwu wutere
8 for by seeing and hearing, that righteous man whilst sojourning among them, suffered torment day by day in his righteous soul from their lawless doings;
(nʼihi na nwoke ezi omume ahụ nke na-ebi nʼetiti ha ụbọchị niile, ehihie na abalị, bụ onye eji ọrụ mmebi iwu niile ọ na-anụ, na nke o ji anya ya na-ahụ, mekpaa mkpụrụobi ezi omume ya ahụ).
9 the Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptation, but to reserve the wicked unto the day of judgment to be punished:
Ọ bụrụ na ọ dị otu a, Onyenwe anyị maara otu o si anapụta ndị na-asọpụrụ Chineke site nʼọnwụnwa niile gbara ha gburugburu. Ọ makwaara edebe ndị ajọ omume nʼahụhụ, tutu ruo ụbọchị ikpe ahụ.
10 especially such as walk after the flesh in the eager pursuit of defilement, and despise government. Daring, self-sufficient, they tremble not at dignities, railing against them.
Nke a bụ eziokwu banyere ndị ahụ na-agbaso ọchịchọ emerụrụ emerụ nke anụ ahụ mmehie ha, na-eledakwa ike ọchịchị anya.
11 Whereas the angels, though so much greater in might and power, bring not a reviling accusation against them before the Lord.
12 But these men, as the naturally irrational brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speaking evil of the things of which they are ignorant, will perish by their own corruption;
13 receiving the recompence of iniquity, counting daily luxury their pleasure; spots and blemishes, when they feast together with you; riotously indulging in their own delusions:
A ga-eji ntaramahụhụ kwụghachi ha ụgwọ ihe ọjọọ ha mere. Ihe na-atọ ha ụtọ bụ ịkpọ oriri na ọṅụṅụ nʼetiti ehihie. Ha bụ ihe ihere, bụrụkwa ndị na-ewetara unu ntụpọ ma ọ bụrụ na ha na-eso unu na-erikọta oriri.
14 having eyes full of adultery, and insatiable of sin; ensnaring souls of no stability; having a heart practised in all the wiles of covetousness; children for a curse:
Anya ha jupụtara nʼagụụ ịkwa iko, mmehie adịghị ejukwa ha afọ. Ha na-arafu ndị okwukwe ha na-esighị ike. Ha bụkwa ndị a maara aha ha nʼihi oke ọchịchọ. Nʼezie ha bụ ụmụ a bụrụ ọnụ.
15 who forsaking the strait road are gone out of the way, following the path of Balaam the son of Bosor who loved the wages of iniquity.
Ha esitela nʼezi ụzọ ahụ jehie, soro omume Belam nwa Beoa, onye hụrụ ụgwọ ọrụ nke ajọ omume nʼanya.
16 But received a reproof for his peculiar transgression: the dumb ass articulating with a human voice restrained the perverseness of the prophet.
Ma a baara ya mba maka ajọ omume ya, mgbe e mere ka ịnyịnya ibu ya jiri olu mmadụ gwa ya okwu; gbochie ọrụ onyeisi na-adịghị mma nke onye amụma ahụ chọrọ ịrụ.
17 These are fountains without water, clouds driven by a hurricane; for whom the blackness of darkness for ever is reserved. ()
Ndị a dịkwa ka iyi tara ata nke mmiri ọbụla na-adịghị nʼime ya. Ha dịkwa ka igwe ojii nke oke ifufe na-efesasị, nke na-adịghị ezo mmiri ọbụla. Ndị a kwadobere ebe kachasị ịgba ọchịchịrị.
18 Uttering pompous discourses of inanity, ensnaring by the lusts of the flesh, by lascivious impurities, those who had truly escaped from such as live in a course of delusion.
Ha na-eji okwu efu na-enweghị isi, na agụụ ihe ọjọọ nke na-agụ anụ ahụ ha, na-arafu ndị sitere nʼetiti ndị na-ebi ndụ ọjọọ na-ekewapụ onwe ha.
19 Preaching liberty to them, while they themselves are the slaves of corruption: for by whatever a man is overcome, by that also he is enslaved.
20 For if having escaped from the defilements of the world by the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again enveloped by them and overcome, their last deeds are worse than the first.
Mgbe ha sitere nʼihe niile emerụrụ emerụ nke ụwa gbapụ, site na mmazu nke Onyenwe anyị, na Onye nzọpụta anyị Jisọs Kraịst, bụrụ ndị atụhịrị na mmehie ọzọ, bụrụkwa ndị e meriri, ha ga-abụ ndị ọnọdụ ha ga-ajọ njọ karịa ka ọ dị na mbụ.
21 For it had been better for them never to have been acquainted with the way of righteousness, than, after knowing it, to have turned aside from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
22 But the true proverb is verified in them, The dog hath returned to his own vomit; and the sow which was washed to its wallowing in the mire.
Ilu ndị a bụ eziokwu banyere ha sị, “Nkịta laghachiri ọzọ nʼihe ọ gbọrọ,” ya na, “Nne ezi a sachara ahụ laghachiri ọzọ ịtụrụ onwe ya nʼapịtị.”
