< 2 Corinthians 8 >
1 NOW we inform you, brethren, of the grace of God which hath been bestowed on the churches of Macedonia;
Anuanom, yɛpɛ sɛ mohunu deɛ Onyankopɔn adom ayɛ wɔ Makedonia asɔre ahodoɔ mu.
2 that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy, and their deep poverty, hath more abounded to the riches of their liberality.
Wɔn ahokyere mu wɔn anigyeɛ boroo so, na wɔn hia mu mpo, woyii ayamyɛ kɛseɛ kyerɛeɛ.
3 For unto their power, I bear them witness, and above their power, they were voluntarily ready to give:
Medi ho adanseɛ sɛ wɔmaa deɛ wɔbɛtumi ma ɛboroo so mpo. Wɔn ara firii wɔn pɛ mu
4 with much entreaty praying us that we would receive the gift, and undertake the communication of the contribution for the saints.
srɛɛ yɛn sɛ yɛmma wɔmfa sika no nkɔma Akristofoɔ a wɔwɔ Yudea no bi.
5 And not merely as we hoped, but gave themselves first to the Lord, and to us according to the will of God.
Wɔyɛ maa ɛboroo so. Deɛ ɛdi ɛkan no, wɔde wɔn ho maa Awurade. Afei, wɔfiri Onyankopɔn pɛ mu de wɔn ho maa yɛn nso.
6 So that we exhorted Titus, that as he had been active before, so also he would perfect in you this grace also.
Enti, yɛka kyerɛɛ Tito a ɔhyɛɛ adwuma yi ase sɛ, ɔntoa so na ɔmmoa mo na moatumi awie saa ɔdɔ adwuma yi.
7 So as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and elocution, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also.
Moyɛ adefoɔ wɔ deɛ mowɔ nyinaa mu: ɔkasa mu ne nimdeɛ mu, mmoa a ɛyɛ mo pɛ sɛ moboa mu, ne ɔdɔ a mode dɔ yɛn mu. Enti, yɛpɛ sɛ mode ahofama som wɔ ɔdɔ mu.
8 I speak not by commandment, but because of the forwardness of others, and to prove the genuineness of your love.
Merenhyehyɛ mmara mma mo. Na mmom, mepɛ sɛ mede mo dɔ a mowɔ no toto afoforɔ deɛ ho hwɛ sɛ mo dɔ no yɛ ɔdɔ pa ara anaa.
9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that for your sake he became poor though he was rich, that ye by his poverty should be made rich.
Monim adom a na yɛn Awurade Yesu Kristo wɔ. Ɔdefoɔ a na ɔyɛ no nyinaa akyi, mo enti, ɔyɛɛ ne ho ohiani sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a ɔnam ne hia no so bɛma mo ayɛ adefoɔ.
10 And in this I give my opinion: for this is expedient for you, who have before begun not only to do, but also to be willing a year ago.
Mʼadwene a mewɔ wɔ asɛm no ho nie: Afe ni, mo na modii ɛkan yɛɛ ayɛ na mofiri mo pɛ mu na momaeɛ.
11 Now then accomplish also the doing it, that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be also to perform out of that which ye have.
Monkɔ so na monwie dwuma no di. Momma mo ho mpere mo sɛ mobɛwie sɛdeɛ mosusuiɛ sɛ mobɛyɛ.
12 For if there is first a ready mind, a man is acceptable according to what he hath, and not according to what he hath not.
Sɛ wo ho pere wo sɛ wobɛma a, Onyankopɔn nam deɛ wowɔ so bɛgye, na ɛnyɛ deɛ wonnie so.
13 For I mean not that there should be ease for others and a burden on you;
Merennye nkurɔfoɔ adesoa mmɛgu mo so na mmom, ɛsiane sɛ mowɔ bebree saa ɛberɛ yi mu no enti, ɛyɛ fɛ sɛ moboa wɔn a wɔnni bi no.
14 but that according to equality, your abundance on the present occasion should afford a supply for their deficiency, that their abundance also may supply your deficiency, that there may be equality.
Na sɛ ɛba sɛ biribi ho hia mo na sɛ wɔwɔ bi a, wɔaboa mo. Yei ma mo nyinaa yɛ pɛ.
15 According as it is written, “He that gathered much had no more than others, and he who gathered little, had no less.”
Sɛdeɛ Atwerɛsɛm no ka sɛ, “Wɔn a wɔnyaa pii no, ebi anka, ɛnna wɔn a wɔnyaa kakra bi no nso, ɛsoo wɔn.”
16 But thanks be to God, who put the same solicitude for you into the heart of Titus.
Yɛda Onyankopɔn ase sɛ wama Tito mo ho anigyeɛ, sɛdeɛ me nso mʼani gye mo ho no bi.
17 For he received in deed the exhortation, but being more diligent, of his own ready mind he went unto you.
Ɛnyɛ sɛ ɔpenee yɛn abisadeɛ so nko, na mmom, ɔno ankasa firii ne pɛ mu pɛɛ sɛ ɔboa enti na ɔsii nʼadwene pi sɛ ɔbɛba mo nkyɛn no.
18 We have sent with him also a brother, whose praise in the gospel is spread through all the churches;
Yɛresoma onua bi a wɔbu no wɔ asɔre ahodoɔ no nyinaa mu wɔ asɛnka no ho no aka ne ho.
19 and not only so, but who was chosen by the churches as my fellow-traveller with this charity, ministered by us to the glory of the same Lord, and to shew your ready mind.
Ɛno akyi, asɔre ahodoɔ no ayi onua yi sɛ ɔne yɛn ntutu akwan wɔ mmerɛ a yɛredi ɔdɔ ho dwuma de ahyɛ Awurade animuonyam yi no, na yɛmfa nkyerɛ nso sɛ yɛpɛ sɛ yɛboa.
20 Avoiding this, that no man should lay any blame to us in this abundance which is administered by us:
Yɛhwɛ yɛn ho so yie sɛ asɛm biara remma kwan a yɛbɛfa so de saa akyɛdeɛ yi adi dwuma no ho.
21 providing what is fair, not only before the Lord, but also before men.
Yɛn botaeɛ ne sɛ, yɛbɛyɛ deɛ ɛyɛ wɔ Awurade ne nnipa anim.
22 And we have sent with him our brother, whom we have often experienced in many things to be a man of diligence, but now much more diligent, through the great confidence which I have in you.
Enti, yɛresoma onipa foforɔ bi aka Tito ne osuani baako no ho. Yɛasɔ no akwan ahodoɔ bebree so ahwɛ na yɛahunu sɛ ɛyɛ ne pɛ sɛ ɔboa. Na seesei ne ho pere no sɛ ɔbɛboa ɛfiri sɛ wanya mo mu ahotosoɔ.
23 If any inquire concerning Titus, he is my companion and fellow-labourer to you; or our brethren be inquired of, they are the messengers of the churches, the glory of Christ.
Tito deɛ, ɔyɛ me ɔboafoɔ a ɔne me yɛ adwuma de boa mo na anuanom a wɔne no rekɔ no deɛ, wɔyɛ asɔre ahodoɔ ananmusifoɔ a wɔhyɛ Kristo animuonyam.
24 Therefore shew unto them, and in the presence of the churches, a proof of your love, and of our just boasting in you.
Momma wɔnhunu ɔdɔ a modɔ wɔn sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a, asafo no nyinaa bɛhunu sɛ hoa a yɛde mo hoahoa yɛn ho no yɛ nokorɛ.
