< 2 Corinthians 5 >

1 FOR we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle should be taken down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. (aiōnios g166)
Kubanga tumanyi ng’ennyumba yaffe ey’ensiisira ey’oku nsi bw’erisaanyizibwawo, tulina ennyumba okuva eri Katonda, ennyumba etaakolebwa na mikono, ey’olubeerera ey’omu ggulu. (aiōnios g166)
2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our mansion which is from heaven;
Kubanga tusindira mu nnyumba eno, nga twegomba okwambazibwa ennyumba yaffe eriva mu ggulu.
3 that so invested, we may not be found naked.
Kubanga bwe tulyambazibwa, tetulisangibwa nga tuli bwereere.
4 For we which are in this tabernacle, groan, being burdened; wherein we desire not to be unclothed, but clothed upon, that what is mortal may be swallowed up of life.
Kubanga ffe abali mu nsiisira eno tusinda, nga tuzitoowererwa, nga tetwagala kusangibwa nga tetwambadde, wabula nga twambadde, omubiri ogufa gumiribwe obulamu.
5 But he that hath wrought us for this very thing is God, who also hath given us the earnest of the spirit.
Oyo eyatuteekerateekera ekintu ekyo kyennyini ye Katonda oyo eyatuwa amazima g’Omwoyo.
6 Therefore we have always confidence, and know that whilst we are indwelling in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
Noolwekyo tulina obwesige bulijjo nga tumanyi nti bwe tuba mu mubiri guno, tetuba waffe, olwo nga tetuli na Mukama waffe.
7 (for we walk by faith, not by sight.)
Kubanga tutambula lwa kukkiriza so si lw’amaaso gaffe bye galaba.
8 We are confident indeed, and with pleasure expect to go out from the body, and to dwell within with the Lord:
Noolwekyo tuli bagumu era tuli basanyufu, wakiri okuva mu mibiri guno ne tubeera ewaffe mu ggulu ne Mukama waffe.
9 wherefore also our ambition is, that whether dwelling in the body, or out of the body, we may be acceptable to him.
Noolwekyo kyetuva tunoonya oba nga tuli ewaffe oba nga tetuli waffe, tumusanyuse.
10 For we must all appear before the judgment-seat of Christ, that each may receive the things done in the body according to what he hath done, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
Kubanga ffe ffenna kitugwanira okulabika mu maaso g’entebe ya Kristo ey’okusalirako omusango, buli muntu asalirwe olw’ebyo bye yakola ng’akyali mulamu, okusinziira ku ebyo bye yakola oba birungi oba bibi.
11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we have been made manifest to God, and I hope also have been made manifest in your consciences.
Noolwekyo bwe tumanya entiisa ya Katonda, kyetuva tukola obutaweera okuleeta abantu eri Kristo, era kye tuli kimanyiddwa eri Katonda, era nsuubira nga bwe kiri ne mu mitima gyammwe.
12 For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion of glorying on our behalf, that ye may have an answer for those who glory in countenance, and not in heart.
Tetugezaako kuddamu kubeenyumiririzaako, naye tubawa omukisa okwenyumiriza ku lwaffe, musobole okuba n’eky’okuddamu abo ababeewaanirako kyokka nga mu mitima gyabwe si ba mazima.
13 For if we are transported out of ourselves, it is for God; or if we are sober-minded, it is for your sake.
Bwe tuwulikika ng’abagudde eddalu olw’ebyo bye tweyogerako, tukikoze ku bwammwe.
14 For the love of Christ constraineth us, because we judge thus, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
Kubanga okwagala kwa Katonda kutuwaliriza, ng’omu bwe yafiirira bonna, bonna kyebaava bafa.
15 and he died for all, that they who live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him that died for them, and rose again.
Yafiirira abantu bonna; abalamu balemenga okubeera abalamu ku bwabwe bokka, wabula ku bw’oyo eyabafiirira era n’azuukira,
16 Wherefore from the present moment know we no man after the flesh: yea though we have also known Christ after the flesh, yet so henceforth know we him no more.
okuva kaakano, tuleme okumanya omuntu yenna mu mubiri, bwe tuba nga ddala twamanya Kristo mu mubiri. Naye kaakano tetukyamumanyi bwe tutyo.
17 Wherefore if any person be in Christ, he is a new creation: the old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Noolwekyo omuntu yenna bw’abeera mu Kristo, aba kitonde kiggya; eby’edda nga bigenze, laba ng’afuuse muggya.
18 But all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
Ebintu byonna biva eri Katonda eyatukomyawo gy’ali nga tuyita mu Kristo, era ne tuweebwa obuweereza obw’okutabaganya.
19 namely, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing to them their offences: and hath committed to us the word of reconciliation.
Kubanga Katonda yali mu Kristo, ng’atabagana n’abantu, nga tababalira, bibi byabwe, n’atuteresa ffe obubaka obw’okutabaganya.
20 Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God exhorted you by us; we entreat you for Christ’s sake, be ye reconciled to God.
Noolwekyo ku bwa Kristo tuli babaka, era Katonda atuma ffe okwogera nammwe. Kyetuva tubeegayirira, ku bwa Kristo, mutabagane ne Katonda.
21 For he hath made him, who knew no sin, to be a sin offering for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in him.
Kubanga oyo ataamanya kibi, yafuuka ekibi ku lwaffe, tulyoke tufune obutuukirivu obuva eri Katonda mu Yesu.
