1 Timothy 4
1 NOW the Spirit speaketh expresly, that in the latter days some will apostatise from the faith, giving heed to spirits of delusion, and doctrines of devils;
௧ஆனாலும், ஆவியானவர் வெளிப்படையாக சொல்லுகிறபடி, கடைசிகாலத்தில் மனச்சாட்சியில் சூடுண்ட பொய்யருடைய மாயத்தினாலே சிலர் ஏமாற்றுகிற ஆவிகளுக்கும், பிசாசுகளின் உபதேசங்களுக்கும் கீழ்ப்படிந்து, விசுவாசத்தைவிட்டு விலகிப்போவார்கள்.
2 men who teach lies with hypocrisy; and have their own consciences cauterised;
௨திருமணம் செய்யக்கூடாது என்றும்,
3 prohibiting marriage, and enjoining abstinence from particular meats, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by the faithful, and those who acknowledge the truth.
௩விசுவாசிகளும், சத்தியத்தை அறிந்தவர்களும் நன்றி செலுத்தி அனுபவிக்கும்படி தேவன் படைத்த உணவுகளைச் சாப்பிடக்கூடாது என்றும் அந்தப் பொய்யர்கள் கட்டளையிடுவார்கள்.
4 For every creature of God is good, and none to be rejected, if used with thanksgiving:
௪தேவன் படைத்தவைகள் அனைத்தும் நல்லதாக இருக்கிறது; நன்றியோடு ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்படுமானால் ஒன்றும் தள்ளப்படவேண்டியது இல்லை.
5 for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
௫அது தேவவசனத்தினாலும் ஜெபத்தினாலும் பரிசுத்தமாக்கப்படும்.
6 If thou suggest these truths to the brethren, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and sound doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.
௬இவைகளை நீ சகோதரர்களுக்குப் போதித்துவந்தால், விசுவாசத்திற்குரிய வார்த்தைகளிலும் நீ அநுசரித்த நல்லபோதகத்திலும் தேறினவனாகி, இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவிற்கு நல்ல ஊழியக்காரனாக இருப்பாய்.
7 But profane and antiquated fables reject, but exercise thyself unto godliness.
௭சீர்கேடும், கிழவிகள் பேச்சுமாக இருக்கிற கட்டுக்கதைகளுக்கு விலகி, தேவபக்திக்கானவைகளை முயற்சிபண்ணு.
8 For bodily exercise is of little advantage, but godliness is profitable for all things, having the promise of the life which now is, and of that which is to come.
௮சரீரமுயற்சி கொஞ்சம் பிரயோஜனமுள்ளது; ஆனால், தேவபக்தியானது இந்த ஜீவனுக்கும் இதற்குப்பின்பு வரும் ஜீவனுக்கும் உள்ள வாக்குத்தத்தமுள்ளதாகையால் எல்லாவற்றிலும் பிரயோஜனமுள்ளது.
9 This is a faithful saying, and deserving all acceptance.
௯இந்த வார்த்தை உண்மையும் எல்லா அங்கீகரிப்புக்கும் தகுதி உள்ளதாக இருக்கிறது.
10 For therefore do we labour and are exposed to abuse, because we have hoped in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, especially of the faithful.
௧0இதற்காகவே பிரயாசப்படுகிறோம், நிந்தையும் அடைகிறோம்; ஏனென்றால், எல்லா மனிதர்களுக்கும், விசேஷமாக விசுவாசிகளுக்கும் இரட்சகராகிய ஜீவனுள்ள தேவன்மேல் நம்பிக்கை வைத்திருக்கிறோம்.
11 Announce and teach these things.
௧௧இவைகளை நீ கட்டளையிட்டுப் போதித்துக்கொண்டிரு.
12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be a pattern of the faithful, in discourse; in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
௧௨உன் இளமையைக்குறித்து ஒருவனும் உன்னை அசட்டைபண்ணாதபடி, நீ உன் வார்த்தையிலும், நடக்கையிலும், அன்பிலும், ஆவியிலும், விசுவாசத்திலும், கற்பிலும், விசுவாசிகளுக்கு முன்மாதிரியாக இரு.
13 Till I come, apply to reading, to exhortation, to teaching.
௧௩நான் வரும்வரைக்கும் வாசிக்கிறதிலும் புத்திசொல்லுகிறதிலும் உபதேசிக்கிறதிலும் ஜாக்கிரதையாக இரு.
14 Neglect not the gift which is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with imposition of the hands of the presbytery.
௧௪சபை மூப்பர்களாகிய சங்கத்தினர்கள் உன்மேல் கரங்களை வைத்தபோது தீர்க்கதரிசனத்தினால் உனக்கு அளிக்கப்பட்ட வரத்தைக்குறித்து அசதியாக இருக்கவேண்டாம்.
15 Let these things be thy care; be wholly devoted to them; that thy progress may be evident to all men.
௧௫உன்னுடைய வளர்ச்சி எல்லோருக்கும் தெரியும்படி இவைகளையே நீ சிந்தித்து, இவைகளில் நிலைத்திரு.
16 Take heed unto thyself, and to thy doctrine; abide in them: for so doing thou shalt both save thyself, and those who hear thee.
௧௬உன்னைக்குறித்தும், உன் உபதேசத்தைக்குறித்தும் எச்சரிக்கையாக இரு, இவைகளில் நிலைகொண்டிரு, நீ இப்படிச் செய்தால், உன்னையும், உன் உபதேசத்தைக் கேட்பவர்களையும் இரட்சித்துக்கொள்ளுவாய்.
