1 Timothy 4
1 NOW the Spirit speaketh expresly, that in the latter days some will apostatise from the faith, giving heed to spirits of delusion, and doctrines of devils;
Bet Tas Gars skaidri saka, ka nākamos laikos citi atkāpsies no ticības, klausīdami viltīgus garus un velnu mācības,
2 men who teach lies with hypocrisy; and have their own consciences cauterised;
Kas viltīgi melus runā, kam pašu zināma sirds kā ar dedzekli iezīmēta,
3 prohibiting marriage, and enjoining abstinence from particular meats, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by the faithful, and those who acknowledge the truth.
Kas aizliedz laulībā iedoties, pavēl noturēties no barībām, ko Dievs radījis, lai tie ticīgie un tie kas patiesību atzinuši, tās saņem ar pateicību.
4 For every creature of God is good, and none to be rejected, if used with thanksgiving:
Jo ikkatra Dieva radīta lieta ir laba, un nekas nav atmetams, kas ar pateicību top ņemts;
5 for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
Jo tas top svētīts caur Dieva vārdu un lūgšanu.
6 If thou suggest these truths to the brethren, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and sound doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.
Kad tu šās lietas tiem brāļiem liksi priekšā, tad tu būsi labs Jēzus Kristus kalps, uzaudzināts iekš ticības un labas mācības vārdiem, uz ko tu esi dzinies.
7 But profane and antiquated fables reject, but exercise thyself unto godliness.
Bet tās nesvētās un nelietīgās pasakas atmeti un darbojies pats iekš dievbijāšanas.
8 For bodily exercise is of little advantage, but godliness is profitable for all things, having the promise of the life which now is, and of that which is to come.
Jo tā miesīgā darbošanās maz ko der; bet dievbijāšana der pie visām lietām; un tai ir šās tagadējās un tās nākošās dzīvošanas apsolīšana.
9 This is a faithful saying, and deserving all acceptance.
Tas ir patiesīgs un augsti pieņemams vārds.
10 For therefore do we labour and are exposed to abuse, because we have hoped in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, especially of the faithful.
Jo par to mēs arī strādājam un topam nievāti, ka esam cerējuši uz to dzīvo Dievu, kas ir visu cilvēku, visvairāk ticīgo Pestītājs.
11 Announce and teach these things.
Šās lietas pavēli un māci.
12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be a pattern of the faithful, in discourse; in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
Lai neviens nenicina tavu jaunību, bet topi tiem ticīgiem par priekšzīmi iekš mācības, iekš dzīvošanas, iekš mīlestības, iekš ticības, iekš šķīstības.
13 Till I come, apply to reading, to exhortation, to teaching.
Pastāvi iekš lasīšanas, paskubināšanas, mācīšanas, tiekams es nāku.
14 Neglect not the gift which is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with imposition of the hands of the presbytery.
Kopi to dāvanu, kas ir iekš tevis, kas tev caur praviešu vārdiem ir dota, kad tie vecaji tev rokas uzlika.
15 Let these things be thy care; be wholly devoted to them; that thy progress may be evident to all men.
Par to gādā, pie tā palieci, ka tava pieaugšana top redzama visās lietās.
16 Take heed unto thyself, and to thy doctrine; abide in them: for so doing thou shalt both save thyself, and those who hear thee.
Ņem vērā sevi pašu un to mācību, pastāvi šinīs lietās; jo to darīdams gan sevi pašu izglābsi, gan tos, kas tevi klausa.
