< 1 Peter 5 >
1 THE presbyters among you I exhort, who am a co-presbyter and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and a partaker of the glory which shall be revealed:
Noolwekyo mbulirira abakadde abali mu mmwe nze mukadde munnammwe, omujulirwa w’okubonaabona kwa Kristo, era agabanira awamu ekitiibwa ekigenda okubikkulirwa.
2 feed the flock of God which is among you, exercising your pastoral office not of necessity, but of choice, not for base gain, but with alacrity of mind;
Mulundenga ekisibo kya Katonda ekiri mu mmwe, mukiriisenga nga mukirabirira n’okwagala so si na kwemulugunya, nga mukolerera amagoba ag’obukuusa wabula olw’okujjumbira Katonda.
3 not as domineering over your allotted congregations, but as being examples of the flock.
Be mukulembera temubakambuwaliranga wabula mubakulemberenga nga mubalaga ekyokulabirako ekirungi.
4 And when the arch Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that will never fade away.
Era Omusumba Omukulu bw’alikomawo, muliweebwa engule ey’ekitiibwa ekitaliggwaawo.
5 In like manner, ye who are younger persons, be in subjection to your elders: but all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed from head to foot with humility: for God sets himself in opposition to the proud, but he giveth grace to the lowly.
Mmwe abavubuka, mugonderenga abakulu. Muweerezeganenga mwekka na mwekka n’obuwombeefu kubanga “Katonda akyawa ab’amalala naye abawombeefu abawa omukisa.”
6 Humble yourselves therefore beneath the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due season:
Noolwekyo mwewombeeke wansi w’omukono gwa Katonda ogw’amaanyi, naye alibagulumiza ng’obudde butuuse.
7 casting all your anxiety upon him; for he careth for you.
Mumutwalirenga byonna bye mweraliikirira kubanga abalumirwa era afaayo ku buli ekibatuukako.
8 Be sober, be vigilant; for your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, prowleth around, seeking whom he may devour:
Mutunulenga, mwekuume omulabe wammwe Setaani, atambulatambula ng’empologoma enjala gy’eruma egenda ng’ewuluguma ng’enoonya gw’eneerya.
9 against whom stand fast, firm in the faith, knowing that the very same sufferings are fully endured by the brotherhood which is in the world.
Mumwaŋŋange ng’abalumbye, nga mwesiga Mukama, era mujjukire nti ebibonoobono ebiri ng’ebyo bituuka ne ku bakkiriza abalala mu nsi yonna.
10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, when ye have suffered a little while, himself perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. (aiōnios )
Bwe mulibonaabonera akaseera, Katonda waffe atukwatirwa ekisa ng’ayita mu Kristo, alibawa ekitiibwa kye ekitaliggwaawo. Alibakomyawo, alibazzaamu amaanyi, alibawanirira era alibanyweza. (aiōnios )
11 To him be glory and might for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
Ekitiibwa n’amaanyi bibeerenga gy’ali emirembe n’emirembe. Amiina. (aiōn )
12 By Silvanus, a faithful brother as I think, I have written to you a few words, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God wherein ye are standing fast.
Ebbaluwa eno nzija kugikwasa Sirwano, gwe mmanyi nga waaluganda mwesigwa ddala, agibaleetere. Nsuubira nga mbazizzaamu amaanyi mu bbaluwa eno, era nga mbalaze engeri Katonda gy’agabamu ekisa kye ekingi. Ebyo bye mbategeezezza bibayambe okunywerera mu kwagala kwe.
13 She who is co-elect at Babylon, saluteth you, and my son Mark.
Balonde bannammwe mu kkanisa y’e Babulooni, babalamusizza. Ne mutabani wange Makko naye abalamusizza.
14 Salute one another with a kiss of love. Peace be with you all that are in Christ Jesus. Amen.
Mulamusagane n’okwagala okw’Ekikristaayo. Emirembe gibeerenga mu mmwe mwenna abali mu Kristo.
