1 NOW concerning the things sacrificed to idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but love edifieth.

Atûn mirimil biekna sâknêk pêkna chungroia nin chong miziek mindonin. “Ei rêngin rietna ei dôn,” an ti angin adik ani. Hannoma, ma anga rietna han chu mi a minpâk ngâia; aniatachu lungkhamna rêkin chu mi asin minding ngâi.

2 But if any man conceit that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know.

Tukhomin idôr tena mini rietna dôn sai angin ân bên chu a riet rang dôr ala riet loi ani.

3 But if any man love God, the same is known of him.

Hannirese tukhomin Pathien lungkhamna a dônin chu ha mi hah Pathien'n a riet ani.

4 Now concerning eating things sacrificed unto idols: we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no other God but one.

Masikin, mirimilngei biekna sâknêk pêka omsai sâk chungroia chu: rammuola mirimilngei murdi hih atataka inzir niloi, rimila inding an ni tie le Pathien inkhat vai aom ti chu ei riet.

5 For though there are gods so called, whether celestial or terrestrial, (as of this sort there are gods many, and lords many; )

Invâna mo, pilchunga mo pathien riming pêl “pathienngei” le “pumapangei” tamtak om khom senla,

6 but to us there is one God, the Father; of whom are all things, and we for him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

eini rangin chu Pathien inkhat vai, Pa, neinuntin Sinpu hah a oma, ama ta rangin ei ringa; male Pumapa khom inkhat vai, Jisua Khrista a oma, Ama sikin neinuntin sin ania, eini khom ama sikin ei ring ani.

7 Howbeit there is not in all men this knowledge; but some having conscientious respect for the idol to this moment, eat the meat as sacrificed to the idol; and their conscience being weak, is defiled.

Aniatachu ma chongtak hih mi murdi'n riet mak ngeia, mi senkhat chu atûnten hin mirimilngei biek ngâiinzong an ni sikin atûnten hin mirimil ta angtaka bên an sâk jêta an sielesarietna hah ânzala, ha sâk sika han a minnim ngei angin an inbe ngâi.

8 But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither if we eat are we the better, or if we eat not are we the worse.

I-ih khomnirse sâk hin Pathien leh ên zomna chu mi min sa pe thei no ni; sâk no khom ila ite dok no ih, sâk khom ila ite man uol no ih.

9 But take heed that this power of yours become not an occasion of stumbling to the weak.

Nikhomrese, nin zalenna sintho han taksônna tienga râtloi ngei hah sietna an chul loina rangin indîn roi.

10 For if any man see thee that hast knowledge, sitting in an idol’s temple, shall not the conscience of him who is weak be emboldened to eat what is sacrificed to idols?

Chongkhatin, nangma “Rietna dôn,” ân tipu han, sielesarietna tienga râtloi mi han mirimil biekna ina na sâk lâitak nang mu senla, a sielesarietna han mirimilngei biekna sâknêk pêka omsai hah a sâk ngam rang nimak mo?

11 And the weak brother will be destroyed by thy knowledge, for whom Christ died.

Masikin ma miriem râtloi, na lâibung Khrista'n a ruthûla a thi pepu hah nangma “Rietna” sikin ânmang rang ani!

12 But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ.

Ma anghan nin Khristien lâibungngei le sarnungei chunga thominchâiin an sielesarietna hah mophoppên Khrista chunga nin thominchâi nîng atih.

13 Wherefore if meat give occasion of offence to my brother, I will in no wise eat meat for ever, that I give no cause of offence to my brother. (aiōn g165)

Masikin sâkin ka lâibungpa mo, ka sarnu mo sietna han amathâkin chu me sâk tet khâi no ning, ka lâibungpa mo, ka sarnu mo sietna a tâk khâi loina rangin. (aiōn g165)
