1 Corinthians 2
1 AND I, when I came to you, brethren, came not with superior excellence of discourse or wisdom, preaching unto you the gospel of God.
Y cuando vine a ustedes, hermanos míos, no he venido con sabias palabras de conocimiento, para anunciarles el testimonio de Dios.
2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ and him crucified.
Porque yo había tomado la decisión de no saber de otra cosa entre ustedes, sino sólo de Jesucristo y a éste crucificado.
3 And in weakness, and in fear, and in much timidity, was I among you.
Y estuve contigo sin fuerzas, con mucho temblor y miedo.
4 And my conversation and my preaching was not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but with demonstration of the Spirit, and of power:
Y en mi predicación no hubo palabras melodiosas de sabiduría, sino con demostración del Espíritu y de poder,
5 that your faith might not stand on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God.
para que su fe no se base en la sabiduría del hombre sino en el poder de Dios.
6 But we speak wisdom among the perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, who are destroying themselves: (aiōn g165)
Pero hablamos sabiduría entre los que han alcanzado madurez en su fe; si usamos palabras de sabiduría, pero no se trata de una sabiduría propia de este mundo, y no de los gobernantes de este mundo, los cuales pronto van a desaparecer. (aiōn g165)
7 but we speak the wisdom of God, which had been hid in mystery, which God predestined before the worlds were, for our glory: (aiōn g165)
Pero hablamos de la sabiduría secreta de Dios, que había guardado antes de que el mundo existiera, para nuestra gloria; (aiōn g165)
8 which none of the rulers of this world have known: for if they had known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. (aiōn g165)
De los cuales ninguno de los príncipes de este mundo tenía conocimiento; porque si lo hubiesen hecho, no habrían puesto al Señor de la gloria en la cruz; (aiōn g165)
9 But, as it is written, “The things which eye hath not seen, and ear hath not heard, and that have not entered into the heart of man, these hath God prepared for those who love him.”
sino como dice en las Sagradas Escrituras, Cosas que el ojo no ha visto, y que no había llegado a los oídos ni al corazón del hombre, cosas que Dios ha preparado para quienes le aman.
10 But to us hath God revealed them by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth out all things, even the depths of God.
Pero Dios nos ha dado la revelación de estas cosas por su Espíritu, porque el Espíritu lo examina todo, aun las cosas más profundas de Dios.
11 For who among men knoweth the things of man, save the spirit of man which is in him? so also the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
Porque ¿quién tiene conocimiento de las cosas del hombre sino el espíritu del hombre que está en él? de la misma manera, nadie tiene conocimiento de las cosas de Dios, sino del Espíritu de Dios.
12 Now we have not received the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is from God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
Pero no tenemos el espíritu del mundo, sino el Espíritu que viene de Dios, para que podamos conocer las cosas que nos son dadas gratuitamente por Dios.
13 Which things also we speak, not in discourses framed by human wisdom, but taught by the Spirit of God; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
Y estas son las cosas que decimos, no en el lenguaje de la sabiduría del hombre, sino en las palabras que nos enseña el Espíritu, juzgando las cosas espirituales a lo espiritual.
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are folly to him: and he cannot know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Porque el hombre natural no puede asimilar las cosas del Espíritu de Dios; porque le parecen insensatas, y no puede entenderlas, porque se han de discernir espiritualmente.
15 But the spiritual man discerneth indeed all things, though himself is discernible by no man.
Pero el que tiene el Espíritu, aunque juzga todas las cosas, no es juzgado de nadie.
16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? who will instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
Porque ¿quién tiene conocimiento de la mente del Señor, para ser su maestro? Pero tenemos la mente de Cristo.
