< John 10 >

1 “Most assuredly, I tell you, whoever doesn’t enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs in some other way, is a thief and a robber.
Panyuma pakendi Yesu walambeti, “Ndamwambilinga cakubinga, muntu labulunga kwingilila pacishinga cambelele nikabwalala kayi nikapondo.
2 The one who enters by the gate is the sheep’s shepherd.
Nsombi muntu lengililinga pacishinga endiye mwembeshi wa mbelele.
3 The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep hear his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.
Mulonda ukute kumucalwila. Mbelele shikute kunyumfwa maswi akendi, kayi ukute kushikuwa maina mbelele shakendi, nekushipulisha.
4 When he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, because they know his voice.
Ashipulisha ukute kushitangunina, nashoyo shikute kumukonkela, pakwinga shikute kwinshiba maswi akendi.
5 There is no way that they will follow a stranger, but will run away from the stranger, because they don’t know the voice of strangers.”
Mwensu nkashela kumukonkela sobwe, pakwinga nkashainshi maswi a mwensu. Neco shikute kumufwamba.”
6 Jesus used this illustration, but the Pharisees didn’t understand what He was telling them.
Yesu walabambila mukoshano uyu, nsombi nabo baliyakunyumfwishisha ncalikubambila.
7 Then Jesus told them again, “Most assuredly, I tell you, I am the sheep’s door.
Ecebo cakendi kayi Yesu ncalabambilileti, “Ndamwambilinga cakubinga, ame njame cishinga cambelele.
8 All who ever came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep didn’t listen to them.
Bonse balesa kantanjisa nibakabwalala kayi nibakapondo, neco mbelele shiliya kubanyumfwila.
9 I am the door. Anyone who enters by me will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.
Njame cishinga, bonse balengilinga kupitila mulinjame nibakapuluke. Kupitila mulinjame nibakengilenga ne kupula nekucana cakulya.
10 The thief comes only to steal, and kill, and destroy. I came that they might have life, and that they might have it in all its fullness.
Nsombi nendi kabwalala ukute kwishila kwiba, kushina ne kononga. Nomba ame nkandipo ico, ndalesa kupa bantu buyumi, kayi bwakwaninina.”
11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.
Ame njame mwembeshi waina. Mwembeshi waina ukute kutaya buyumi bwakendi pacebo cambelele shakendi.
12 The hired hand, who isn’t the shepherd and doesn’t own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and runs away. So, the wolf snatches them and scatters them.
Nomba mwembeshi wakwingisha ncito yakwembela mbelele nte mwembeshi waina pakwinga nte mwine neco abona kaumpe ukute kushishiya nekufwamba, nomba nako kaumpe kakute kwikatapo nashimbi kayi shilashala shikute kupalangana.
13 The hired hand is concerned about the wages, and not the sheep, so the hired hand runs away.
Usa shikulembwa incito ukute kufwamba, pakwinga ntemwinesho, neco nkakute kusukama.
14 I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me,
Ame njame mwembeshi waina. Mbelele shakame ndishinshi, kayi nashoyo shinjishi.
15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father. I lay down my life for the sheep.
mbuli bata ncobanjishi, nenjame ndibenshi, ndalibambila kutaya buyumi bwakame pacebo cambelele shakame.
16 I have other sheep that don’t belong to this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So, there will be one flock, with one shepherd.
Kayi nkute nashimbi mbelele shabula kuba shamucata ici. Nashoyo nishikanyumfwe maswi akame, ninkashilete pamo, nishikabe mulitanga limo kayi ne mwembeshi umo.
17 For this reason the Father sincerely loves me, because I lay down my life, so that I may take it up again.
“Bata bansuni, pakwinga ndalibambila kuyaba buyumi bwakame kwambeti nkabe nabo kayi.
18 No one takes it away from me, but I lay it down of my own free will. I have the authority to lay it down, and I have the authority to take it up again. I received this commandment from my Father.”
Kuliya muntu wela kundamuna buyumi bwakame, ndabuyabanga mukuyanda kwakame. Nkute ngofu shakutaya buyumi bwakame, kayi ne ngofu shakubumanta. uwu emulawo ngobalampa Bata.”
19 The Jews were divided again, because of these words.
Bantu balatatika kupansana pacebo ca maswi awa.
20 Many of them were saying, “He has a demon and is insane. Why do you listen to Him?”
Bangi pakati pabo balikwambeti, “Ukute mushimu waipa, kayi wakonya. Nicani mulamunyumfwilinga?”
21 Others were saying, “These aren’t the sayings of a demon-possessed person. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?”
Nomba bambi balikwambeti, “Maswi awa ntewo amuntu wekatwa ne mushimu waipa. Sena mushimu waipa ngaumubonesha washipilwa kwambeti abone?”
22 At that time the Feast of Dedication took place in Jerusalem. It was winter,
Lino calikuba cindi camupewo pakusekekelela kupwa kwa kwibaka Ng'anda ya Lesa ku Yelusalemu.
23 and Jesus was walking in the temple, in Solomon’s porch.
Lino Yesu walinkenda mumukushi wa Nga'nda ya Lesa, walikukwiweti mukushi waSolomoni.
24 Then the Jews gathered around Him, and asked Him, “How long will You keep us in suspense? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly.”
Lino bamakulene baYuda balamubunganina nekumwipusheti, “Nomba nukatuyubwilile lilyoni nanjobe Mupulushi Walaiwa? Twambile.”
25 Jesus answered, “I told you, but you don’t believe. The works that I do in my Father’s name testify about me,
Yesu walambeti, “Ndalamwambila kendi, nsombi nkamulashomonga. Mulimo ngonkute kwinsa mulina lya Bata, eukute kunjishila bukamboni.
26 but you don’t believe, because you aren’t of my sheep.
Nomba amwe nkamulashomonga, pakwinga nkamulipo mulikoto lyambelele shakame.
27 My sheep listen to my voice. I know them, and they follow me.
Mbelele shakame shikute kunyumfwa maswi akame. Ame ndishinshi, kayi shikute kunkonkela.
28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one is able to snatch them out of my hand. (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
Nkute kushipa buyumi butapu, kayi nteshi shikataike. Paliya muntu wela kundamuna. (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of my Father’s hand.
Bata balampa mbelele isho banene kupita bonse, neco paliya muntu wela kubalamuna mumakasa abo.
30 I and my Father are one.”
Ame neBata tobamo muntu umowa.”
31 Therefore the Jews took up stones again to stone Him.
Lino bamakulene baBayuda balabwesa mabwe kwambeti bamupwaye.
32 Jesus answered, “I showed you many good works from the Father. For which of them are you stoning me?”
Yesu walabambileti, “Ndamuboneshe mulimo waina walafumina kuli Bata. Nomba nipa ncito shipeyo nshomulayandanga kumpwaila mabwe?”
33 The Jews answered Him, “We aren’t stoning you for a good work, but for blasphemy, because You, being a man, claim to be God.”
Bamakulene ba Baciyuda balamukumbuleti, “Nkatulayandanga kukupwaya mabwe pacebo ca mulimo waina sobwe, nsombi pacebo cakwambeti ulanyanshanga Lesa. Obe omuntu, ulalyelanikinga neLesa.”
34 Jesus answered, “Isn’t it written in your Law, ‘I said, “You are gods”’?
Yesu walabakumbuleti, “Sena mu Milawo yenu nkamwalembweti, ‘Ame ndambeti mobalesa?
35 If he, who God’s word came to, called them gods, (and the Scripture can’t be broken),
Tucinsheti Mabala a Lesa nkela kupwaiwa. Kayi nakubinga, naLesa walikubakuwa, balapewa maswi wakendi eti balesa.”
36 do you say of Him who the Father set apart and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am God’s Son’?
“Ngamwabaconi uyo Lesa ngwalaswepesha nekumutuma pacishi capanshi, amwe mulamwambilingeti lanyanshanga Lesa, sena nipacebo cakwambeti njame Mwana wa Lesa?
37 If I don’t do my Father’s works, then don’t believe me.
Nomba na nkandenshinga mulimo ngobalampa Bata, kamutanshoma.
38 But if I do them, even if you don’t believe me, believe the works, so that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I am in the Father.”
Nsombi na emulimo ngondenshinga, kamushomani mulimo nambi nkamulanshomonga kwambeti mukonshe kwinshiba nekunyumfwishisha kwambeti ame nkute kwikala muli Bata, nabo Bata bakute kwikala muli njame.”
39 Therefore they were trying again to seize Him, and He escaped from their grasp.
Popelapo bantu basa balayanda kayi kumwikata, nsombi neye walapushumuka.
40 Jesus went away again across the Jordan to the place where John was first baptizing, and He was staying there.
Yesu walabwelela kayi kutala kwa mulonga wa Yolodani uko Yohane nkwalikubatishila bantu pakuyamba, lino walekala kopeloko.
41 Many came to Him and were saying, “John performed no miraculous sign, but everything that John said about this man was true.”
Bantu bangi balesa kulyendiye, nkabambeti, “Yohane liya kwinsapo byeshikukankamanisha sobwe, nsombi byonse mbyalikwamba pamuntu uyu byalikuba byakubinga.”
42 Many believed in Jesus there.
Kopeloko bantu bangi balashoma Yesu.
