1 I speak the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost,
ⲁ̅ⲐⲘⲎⲒ ⲠⲈϮϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲬⲢⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ ⲚϮϪⲈⲘⲈⲐⲚⲞⲨϪ ⲀⲚ ⲈⲤⲈⲢⲘⲈⲐⲢⲈ ⲈⲢⲞⲒ ⲚⲈⲘⲎⲒ ⲚϪⲈⲦⲀⲤⲨⲚⲎⲆⲈⲤⲒⲤ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲠⲚⲈⲨⲘⲀⲈϤⲞⲨⲀⲂ.
2 that there is great sorrow to me and incessant grief to my heart.
ⲃ̅ϪⲈ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲞⲨⲚⲒϢϮ ⲚⲘⲔⲀϨ ⲚϨⲎⲦ ⲚⲈⲘⲎ ⲒⲚⲈⲘ ⲞⲨϢⲈⲚϨⲎⲦ ⲘⲠⲀϤⲘⲞⲨⲚⲔ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲀϨⲎ Ⲧ.
3 For I would pray, that I myself might be an offering from Christ; in behalf of my brethren, my kindred according to the flesh:
ⲅ̅ⲚⲀⲒⲦⲰⲂϨ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲈⲈⲢⲀⲚⲀⲐⲎⲘⲀ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲀ ⲠⲬⲢⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲚⲀⲤⲚⲎⲞⲨ ⲚⲀⲤⲨⲚⲄⲈⲚⲎⲤ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲤⲀⲢⲜ
4 who are Israelites, of whom is the adoption of sons, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service, and the promises:
ⲇ̅ⲈⲦⲈ ⲚⲒⲤⲢⲀⲎⲖⲒⲦⲎⲤ ⲚⲈⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲐⲰⲞⲨ ⲦⲈ ϮⲘⲈⲦϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲠⲒⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒⲆⲒⲀⲐⲎⲔⲎ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲠⲒⲤⲈⲘⲚⲈ ⲚⲞⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲠⲒϢⲈⲘϢⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒⲰϢ.
5 of whom are the fathers, and of whom is Christ according to the flesh. Who is over all, God blessed forever: amen. (aiōn )
ⲉ̅ⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲚⲞⲨⲞⲨ ⲚⲈⲚⲒⲒⲞϮ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲐⲰⲞⲨ ⲞⲚ ⲀⲠⲬⲢⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ ⲒⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚϦⲎⲦⲞⲨ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲤⲀⲢⲜ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲬⲎ ϨⲒϪⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲦⲤⲘⲀⲢⲰⲞⲨⲦ ϢⲀ ⲈⲚⲈϨ ⲀⲘⲎⲚ. (aiōn )
6 But not as that the word of God has been a failure. For these are not all Israel who are of Israel;
ⲋ̅ⲠⲀⲒⲢⲎϮ ⲆⲈ ⲘⲠⲈ ⲠⲒⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ϨⲈⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲞⲨ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲀⲚ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲤⲖ ⲚⲀⲒ ⲚⲈⲠⲒⲤⲖ.
7 neither are the children all the seed of Abraham; but in Isaac shall thy seed be called;
ⲍ̅ⲞⲨⲆⲈ ϪⲈ ϨⲀⲚϪⲢⲞϪ ⲚⲦⲈⲀⲂⲢⲀⲀⲘ ⲚⲈϨⲀⲚϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲦⲎⲢⲞⲨ ⲚⲈⲀⲖⲖⲀ ϦⲈⲚⲒⲤⲀⲀⲔ ⲈⲨⲈⲐⲀϨⲈⲘ ⲞⲨϪⲢⲞϪ ⲚⲀⲔ.
8 that is the children of the flesh the same are not the children of God; but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.
ⲏ̅ⲈⲦⲈ ⲪⲀⲒ ⲠⲈ ϪⲈ ⲚⲒϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲤⲀⲢⲜ ⲀⲚ ⲚⲀⲒ ⲚⲈⲚⲒϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲚⲒϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲒⲰϢ ⲈⲦⲞⲨⲚⲀⲞⲠⲞⲨ ⲈⲨϪⲢⲞϪ.
9 For this is the word of the promise, About this time I will come, and there shall be a son to Sarah.
ⲑ̅ⲠⲀⲒⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲪⲀ ⲞⲨⲰϢ ⲠⲈ ϪⲈ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲠⲀⲒⲤⲎⲞⲨ ⲪⲀⲒ ⲈⲒⲈⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲢⲈ ⲞⲨϢⲎⲢⲒ ϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲚⲤⲀⲢⲢⲀ.
10 Not only so; but Rebecca also having cohabitation of one, our father Isaac;
ⲓ̅ⲞⲨ ⲘⲞⲚⲞⲚ ⲆⲈ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲦⲔⲈⲈⲢⲈⲂⲈⲔⲔⲀ ⲈⲀⲤϬⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨϢⲀⲒⲢⲒ ⲚⲞⲨⲰⲦ ⲚⲦⲈⲒⲤⲀⲀⲔ ⲠⲈⲚⲒⲰⲦ.
11 for the children not having been born, neither having done anything good or evil, in order that the purpose of God might stand according to election not of works, but of him that calleth,
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲈⲘⲠⲀⲚⲦⲞⲨⲘⲀⲤⲞⲨ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲞⲨⲆⲈ ⲘⲠⲀⲦⲞⲨⲒⲢⲒ ⲚⲞⲨϨⲰⲂ ⲈⲚⲀⲚⲈϤ ⲒⲈ ⲈϤϨⲰⲞⲨ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ϮⲘⲈⲦⲤⲰⲦⲠ ⲈⲦⲀ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲐⲀϢⲤ ⲒⲤϪⲈⲚ ϢⲞⲢⲠ ⲚⲦⲈⲤϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲈⲤⲤⲘⲞⲚⲦ.
12 and it was said to her, The elder shall serve the younger:
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ⲈⲚⲞⲨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚϨⲀⲚϨⲂⲎⲞⲨⲒ ⲀⲚ ⲦⲈ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲈⲦⲐⲰϨⲈⲘ ⲀⲨϪⲞⲤ ⲚⲀⲤ ϪⲈ ⲈⲢⲈ ⲠⲒⲚⲒϢϮ ⲈⲢⲂⲰⲔ ⲘⲠⲒⲔⲞⲨϪⲒ.
13 as has been written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲈⲦⲤϦⲎⲞⲨⲦ ϪⲈ ⲒⲀⲔⲰⲂ ⲘⲈⲚ ⲀⲒⲘⲈⲚⲢⲒⲦϤ ⲎⲤⲀⲨ ⲆⲈ ⲀⲒⲘⲈⲤⲦⲰϤ.
14 Then what shall we say? Is there unrighteousness with God? It could not be so.
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲠⲈⲦⲈⲚⲚⲀϪⲞϤ ⲘⲎ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲞⲨⲘⲈⲦϬ ⲒⲚϪⲞⲚⲤ ϦⲀⲦⲈⲚ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲚⲚⲈⲤϢⲰⲠⲒ.
15 For he says to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I do have mercy, and I will commiserate whom I do commiserate.
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ϤϪⲰ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ⲘⲘⲰⲨⲤⲎⲤ ϪⲈ ϮⲚⲀⲚⲀⲒ ⲘⲪⲎ ⲈϮⲚⲀⲚⲀⲒ ⲚⲀϤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϮⲚⲀϢⲈⲚϨⲎ ⲦϦⲀ ⲪⲎ ⲈϮⲚⲀϢⲈⲚϨⲎⲦ ϦⲀⲢⲞϤ.
16 Then it is not of him that willeth, nor him that runneth, but of God who shows mercy.
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ϨⲀⲢⲀ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲪⲀ ⲠⲈⲐⲞⲨⲰϢ ⲀⲚ ⲠⲈ ⲞⲨⲆⲈ ⲘⲪⲀ ⲠⲈⲦϬⲞϪⲒ ⲀⲚ ⲠⲈ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲪⲀ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲐⲚⲀⲒ ⲠⲈ.
17 For the scripture says to Pharaoh, For this very thing have I raised you up, that I may show forth my power in you, and that my name may be proclaimed in all the earth.
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲤϪⲰ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ⲚϪⲈϮⲄⲢⲀⲪⲎ ⲘⲪⲀⲢⲀⲰ ϪⲈ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲪⲀⲒ ⲀⲒⲦⲞⲨⲚⲞⲤⲔ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲀⲞⲨⲰⲚϨ ⲚⲦⲀϪⲞⲘ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚϦⲢⲎⲒ ⲚϦⲎⲦⲔ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲤⲈⲪⲒⲢⲒ ⲈⲠⲀⲢⲀⲚ ϨⲒϪⲈⲚ ⲠⲔⲀϨⲒ ⲦⲎⲢϤ.
18 Then therefore he has mercy on whom he will, and whom he will he hardens.
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ϨⲀⲢⲀ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲠⲈⲦⲈϤⲞⲨⲀϢϤ ϢⲀϤⲚⲀⲒ ⲚⲀϤ ⲪⲎ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲞⲨⲀϢϤ ⲀⲚ ϢⲀϤⲈⲐⲢⲈϤⲈⲚϢⲰⲦ.
19 Then thou wilt say to me, Why does he yet find fault? For who has resisted his will?
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ⲬⲚⲀϪⲞⲤ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲚⲎⲒ ϪⲈ ⲈⲐⲂⲈⲞⲨ ϤϪⲈⲘ ⲀⲢⲒⲔⲒ ⲚⲒⲘ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲈϤϮ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ⲈϨⲢⲈⲚ ⲠⲈϤⲤⲞϬ ⲚⲒ.
20 O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Whether shall the thing formed say to him that formed it. Why did you make me thus?
ⲕ̅ⲘⲈⲚⲞⲨⲚⲄⲈ ⲰⲪⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲚⲐⲞⲔ ⲚⲒⲘ ⲚⲐⲞⲔ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ⲈϨⲢⲈⲚ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲘⲎ ⲈⲢⲈϢ ⲠⲒⲘⲞⲚⲔ ϪⲞⲤ ⲘⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲘⲞⲚⲔϤ ϪⲈ ⲈⲐⲂⲈⲞⲨ ⲀⲔⲐⲀⲘⲒⲞⲒ ⲘⲠⲀⲒⲢⲎϮ.
21 Has not the potter the right of the clay, from the same lump to make one part a vessel unto honor, and another unto dishonor?
ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ϢⲀⲚ ⲘⲘⲞⲚ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲒⲔⲈⲢⲀⲘⲈⲨⲤ ⲘⲠⲈⲢϢⲒϢⲒ ⲘⲠⲈϤⲞⲘⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲀⲒⲞⲨⲰϢⲈⲘ ⲢⲰ ⲈⲐⲀⲘⲒⲞ ⲚⲞⲨⲤⲔⲈⲨⲞⲤ ⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲘⲈⲚ ⲈⲠⲦⲀⲒⲞ ⲔⲈⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲨϢⲰϢ.
22 But if God, wishing to show forth his indignation and make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of indignation having been perfected unto destruction:
ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ⲒⲤϪⲈ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤⲞⲨⲰϢ ⲚϪⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲈϤⲞⲨⲰⲚϨ ⲘⲠⲈϤϪⲰⲚⲦ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀⲘⲞⲚ ⲈⲦⲈϤϪⲞⲘ ⲀϤⲒⲚⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲚⲒϢϮ ⲘⲘⲈⲦⲢⲈϤⲰⲞⲨ ⲚϨⲎⲦ ⲚϨⲀⲚⲤⲔⲈⲨⲞⲤ ⲚⲦⲈⲠϪⲰⲚⲦ ⲈⲨⲤⲈⲂⲦⲰⲦ ⲈⲠⲦⲀⲔⲞ.
23 and in order that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he before prepared unto glory?
ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲞⲨⲰⲚϨ ⲚϮⲘⲈⲦⲢⲀⲘⲀⲞ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲈϤⲰⲞⲨ ⲈϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ϨⲀⲚⲤⲔⲈⲨⲞⲤ ⲚⲚⲀⲒ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲚⲎ ⲚⲈⲈⲦⲀϤⲈⲢϢⲞⲢⲠ ⲚⲤⲈⲂⲦⲰⲦⲞⲨ ⲈⲨⲰⲞⲨ.
24 whom he called, even us, not only of the Jews, but also of the Gentiles:
ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ⲈⲦⲈ ⲀⲚⲞⲚ ⲠⲈ ϦⲀ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲐⲀϨⲘⲞⲨ ⲞⲨ ⲘⲞⲚⲞⲚ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲒⲒⲞⲨⲆⲀⲒ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲒⲔⲈⲈⲐⲚⲞⲤ.
25 as he says in Hosea, I will call them my people, who are not my people; and her beloved, who is not beloved:
ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ⲘⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲞⲚ ⲈⲦⲈϤϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲰⲤⲒⲈ ϪⲈ ϮⲚⲀⲘⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲠⲀⲖⲀⲞⲤ ⲀⲚ ⲠⲈ ϪⲈ ⲠⲀⲖⲀⲞⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲐⲎ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲘⲠⲞⲨⲘⲈⲚⲢⲒⲦⲤ ϪⲈ ⲀⲨⲘⲈⲚⲢⲒⲦⲤ.
26 and it shall come to pass, in the place in which it was said to them, You are not my people, there they shall be called the sons of the living God:
ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲤⲈϢⲰⲠⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲘⲀ ⲈⲦⲀⲨϪⲞⲤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ϪⲈ ⲚⲐⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲠⲀⲖⲀⲞⲤ ⲀⲚ ⲘⲠⲒⲘⲀ ⲈⲦⲈⲘⲘⲀⲨ ⲈⲨⲈⲘⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲢⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲚⲈⲚϢⲎ ⲢⲒ ⲘⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲦⲞⲚϦ.
27 but Isaiah cries out in behalf of Israel, Though the number of sons of Israel may be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved.
ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ⲎⲤⲀⲎⲀⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲈϤⲰϢ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲠⲒⲤⲖ ϪⲈ ⲈϢⲰⲠ ⲈⲢⲈ ⲦⲎⲠⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲈⲚϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲘⲠⲒⲤⲖ ⲈⲤⲞⲒ ⲘⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲘⲠⲒϢⲰ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲒⲞⲘ ⲠⲤⲰϪⲠ ⲈϤⲈⲚⲞϨⲈⲘ.
28 For perfecting the word and cutting it short, will the Lord do a complete work on the earth:
ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ⲞⲨⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲈϤϪⲰⲔ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈϤϢⲰⲦ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲠϬⲞⲒⲤ ⲚⲀⲀⲒϤ ϨⲒϪⲈⲚ ⲠⲔⲀϨⲒ.
29 and as Isaiah has before spoken; Unless the Lord of Sabaoth left to us a seed, we would have become as Sodom, and would have been made like unto Gomorrah:
ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲞⲚ ⲈⲦⲀϤϪⲞⲤ ⲚϪⲈⲎⲤⲀⲎⲀⲤ ϪⲈ ⲈⲚⲈⲘⲠⲈ ⲠϬⲞⲒⲤ ⲤⲀⲂⲀⲰⲐ ⲤⲰϪⲠ ⲚⲞⲨϪⲢⲞϪ ⲚⲀⲚ ⲚⲀⲚⲚⲀⲈⲢ ⲘⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲚⲤⲞⲆⲞⲘⲀ ⲠⲈ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲀⲚⲚⲀⲒⲚⲒ ⲚⲄⲞⲘⲞⲢⲢⲀ.
30 Then what shall we say? That the Gentiles, not pursuing righteousness, received righteousness, and the righteousness which is from faith:
ⲗ̅ⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲠⲈⲦⲈⲚⲚⲀϪⲞϤ ϪⲈ ⲚⲒⲈⲐⲚⲞⲤ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲘⲠⲞⲨϬⲞϪⲒ ⲚⲤⲀϮⲘⲈⲐⲘⲎⲒ ⲀⲨⲦⲀϨⲈ ϮⲘⲈⲐⲘⲎ ⲒϮⲘⲈⲐⲘⲎⲒ ⲆⲈ ϮⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲪⲚⲀϨϮ.
31 but Israel, following after the law, did not attain unto the law of righteousness.
ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ⲠⲒⲤⲖ ⲆⲈ ⲈϤϬⲞϪⲒ ⲚⲤⲀⲠⲒⲚⲞⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲦⲈϮⲘⲈⲐⲘⲎⲒ ⲘⲠⲈϤⲪⲞϨ ⲈⲠⲒⲚⲞⲘⲞⲤ.
32 Why? Because they sought it not from faith, but as it were from works: they stumbled over the stone of stumbling,
ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ⲈⲐⲂⲈⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲪⲚⲀϨϮ ⲀⲚ ⲠⲈ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ϨⲰⲤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚϨⲀⲚϨⲂⲎⲞⲨⲒ ⲀⲨϬⲒϬⲢⲞⲠ ⲈⲠⲒⲰⲚⲒ ⲚϬⲢⲞⲠ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲈⲦⲤϦⲎⲞⲨⲦ
33 as has been written, Behold, I lay in Zion a stone of stumbling and a rock of offence: and he that believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
ⲗ̅ⲅ̅ϪⲈ ϨⲎⲠⲠⲈ ϮⲚⲀⲬⲰ ϦⲈⲚⲤⲒⲰⲚ ⲚⲞⲨⲰⲚⲒ ⲚϬⲢⲞⲠ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲞⲨⲠⲈⲦⲢⲀ ⲚⲤⲔⲀⲚⲆⲀⲖⲞⲚ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲐⲚⲀϨϮ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ⲚⲚⲈϤϬⲒϢⲒⲠⲒ.
