Matthew 8
1 And many multitudes followed Him, coming down from the mountain.
Als er aber von dem Berge herabstieg, folgte ihm eine große Volksmenge nach.
2 And behold, a leper, having come, continued to worship Him, saying; Lord, if you may be willing, you are able to cleanse me.
Und siehe, ein Aussätziger kam, fiel vor ihm nieder und sprach: Herr, wenn du willst, kannst du mich reinigen.
3 And Jesus, reaching forth His hand, touched him, saying, I am willing; be thou cleansed. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
Und Jesus streckte die Hand aus, rührte ihn an und sprach: Ich will; sei gereinigt! Und alsbald ward er von seinem Aussatz rein.
4 And Jesus says to him, See that you may tell no one; but go, show thyself to the priest, and offer the gift which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
Und Jesus spricht zu ihm: Siehe zu, daß du es niemand sagest; sondern gehe hin, zeige dich dem Priester und bringe das Opfer, das Mose befohlen hat, ihnen zum Zeugnis!
5 And He having come into Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, entreating Him,
Als er aber nach Kapernaum kam, trat ein Hauptmann zu ihm, bat ihn
6 and saying; Lord, my servant lies in the house paralyzed, terribly tormented.
und sprach: Herr, mein Knecht liegt daheim gelähmt darnieder und ist furchtbar geplagt!
7 And Jesus says to him, Having come I will heal him.
Und Jesus spricht zu ihm: Ich will kommen und ihn heilen.
8 And the centurion responding said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou mayest come in under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant will be healed.
Der Hauptmann antwortete und sprach: Herr, ich bin nicht wert, daß du unter mein Dach kommst, sondern sprich nur ein Wort, so wird mein Knecht gesund werden.
9 For I am also a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this one, Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my servant, Do this, and he does it.
Denn auch ich bin ein Mensch, der unter Vorgesetzten steht, und habe Kriegsknechte unter mir; und sage ich zu diesem: Gehe hin! so geht er; und zu einem andern: Komm her! so kommt er; und zu meinem Knechte: Tue das! so tut er's.
10 And Jesus hearing, was astonished, and said to those following, Truly I say unto you, I did not find so great faith in Israel.
Als Jesus das hörte, verwunderte er sich und sprach zu denen, die ihm nachfolgten: Wahrlich, ich sage euch, bei niemand in Israel habe ich so großen Glauben gefunden!
11 And I say unto you, that many will come from the east and from the west, and sit up with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of the heavens:
Ich sage euch aber: Viele werden kommen von Morgen und Abend und werden mit Abraham, Isaak und Jakob zu Tische sitzen im Himmelreich;
12 but the sons of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: and there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
aber die Kinder des Reiches werden in die äußerste Finsternis hinausgeworfen werden; dort wird Heulen und Zähneknirschen sein.
13 And Jesus said to the centurion, Go; and let it be done unto thee as thou hast believed. And his servant was healed at that hour.
Und Jesus sprach zu dem Hauptmann: Gehe hin, dir geschehe, wie du geglaubt hast! Und sein Knecht ward gesund in derselben Stunde.
14 And Jesus having come into the house of Peter, saw his mother-in-law prostrated and burning with fever.
Und als Jesus in das Haus des Petrus kam, sah er, daß dessen Schwiegermutter darniederlag und das Fieber hatte.
15 And He touched her hand, and the fever left her; and she arose, and began to minister unto them.
Und er berührte ihre Hand, und das Fieber verließ sie, und sie stand auf und diente ihm.
16 And it being evening, they brought to Him many demonized people: and He cast out the demons by His word, and healed all the sick;
Als es aber Abend geworden war, brachten sie viele Besessene zu ihm, und er trieb die Geister aus durchs Wort und heilte alle Kranken;
17 in order that the word spoken by Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, saying, He took our infirmities, and carried our sicknesses.
auf daß erfüllt würde, was durch Jesaja gesagt ist, den Propheten, welcher spricht: «Er hat unsere Gebrechen weggenommen und die Krankheiten getragen.»
18 And Jesus seeing the multitudes about Him, gave command to go away to the other side.
ALS aber Jesus die Volksmenge um sich sah, befahl er, ans jenseitige Ufer zu fahren.
19 And one scribe having come, said to Him, Teacher, I will follow thee whithersoever thou mayest go.
Und ein Schriftgelehrter trat herzu und sprach zu ihm: Meister, ich will dir nachfolgen, wohin du auch gehst!
20 And Jesus says to him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of heaven nests; but the Son of man has not where He may recline His head.
Und Jesus sprach zu ihm: Die Füchse haben Gruben, und die Vögel des Himmels haben Nester; aber des Menschen Sohn hat nicht, wo er sein Haupt hinlegen kann.
21 And another of His disciples said to Him, Lord, permit me first to go away and bury my father.
Ein anderer Jünger sprach zu ihm: Herr, erlaube mir, zuvor hinzugehen und meinen Vater zu begraben!
22 And Jesus says to him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.
Jesus aber sprach zu ihm: Folge mir nach und laß die Toten ihre Toten begraben!
23 And His disciples followed Him, having come into the ship.
Und er trat in das Schiff, und seine Jünger folgten ihm nach.
24 And behold, there was a great storm on the sea, so that the ship was covered by the waves: and He was asleep.
Und siehe, es erhob sich ein großer Sturm auf dem Meere, so daß das Schiff von den Wellen bedeckt ward; er aber schlief.
25 And the disciples having come, awoke Him, saying, Lord, save us; we are perishing.
Und seine Jünger traten zu ihm, weckten ihn auf und sprachen: Herr, rette uns, wir kommen um!
26 And He says to them, Why are you afraid, O ye of little faith? Then having arisen, He rebuked the wind and the sea; and there was a great calm.
Da sprach er zu ihnen: Was seid ihr so furchtsam, ihr Kleingläubigen? Dann stand er auf und bedrohte die Winde und das Meer; und es ward eine große Stille.
27 And the men were astonished, saying, What sort of a man is this, because winds and the sea obey him?
Die Menschen aber verwunderten sich und sprachen: Wer ist der, daß ihm auch die Winde und das Meer gehorsam sind?
28 Two demoniacs met Him, having come to the other side into the country of the Gadarenes, coming out from the tombs, exceedingly fierce, so that no one was able to pass through that way.
Und als er ans jenseitige Ufer in die Landschaft der Gadarener kam, liefen ihm zwei Besessene entgegen, die kamen aus den Gräbern heraus und waren sehr gefährlich, so daß niemand auf jener Straße wandern konnte.
29 And behold, they cried out, saying, What is there to us and thee, O Son of God? have you come hither to torment us before the time?
Und siehe, sie schrieen und sprachen: Was haben wir mit dir zu schaffen, Jesus, du Sohn Gottes? Bist du hierher gekommen, uns vor der Zeit zu peinigen?
30 And a herd of many swine was feeding a great way from them.
Es war aber fern von ihnen eine große Herde Schweine auf der Weide.
31 And the demons continued to intreat him, saying, If you cast us out, permit us to depart into the herd of swine.
Und die Dämonen baten ihn und sprachen: Wenn du uns austreibst, so sende uns in die Schweineherde!
32 And He said to them, Go. And they having gone out, went away into the herd of swine; and the whole herd rushed down the precipice into the sea, and perished in the waters.
Und er sprach zu ihnen: Fahret hin! Da fuhren sie aus und fuhren in die Schweine. Und siehe, die ganze Herde stürzte sich den Abhang hinunter ins Meer, und sie kamen im Wasser um.
33 And the herders fled, and having gone away into the city, proclaimed all things, and those appertaining to the demonized.
Die Hirten aber flohen, gingen in die Stadt und verkündigten alles, auch was mit den Besessenen vorgegangen war.
34 And behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus; and seeing Him, intreated Him, that He should depart from their coasts.
Und siehe, die ganze Stadt kam heraus, Jesus entgegen; und als sie ihn sahen, baten sie ihn, von ihren Grenzen zu weichen.
