Matthew 23
1 Then Jesus spoke to the multitudes and His disciples,
Այն ատեն Յիսուս խօսեցաւ բազմութեան եւ իր աշակերտներուն՝ ըսելով.
2 saying, The scribes and Pharisees sat upon the seat of Moses;
«Դպիրներն ու Փարիսեցիները բազմած են Մովսէսի աթոռին վրայ:
3 therefore do and keep all things so many as they may speak to you, but do not according to their works; for they say, and do not.
Ուրեմն ինչ որ ըսեն ձեզի՝ որ պահէք, պահեցէ՛ք եւ ըրէ՛ք. բայց մի՛ ընէք անոնց գործերուն պէս, որովհետեւ կ՚ըսեն՝ սակայն չեն ըներ:
4 But they bind heavy burdens, and place them on the shoulders of the people; and they themselves are not willing to touch them with their finger.
Արդարեւ ծանր ու դժուարակիր բեռներ կը կապեն եւ կը դնեն մարդոց ուսերուն վրայ, ու իրենց մատո՛վ իսկ չեն ուզեր շարժել զանոնք:
5 And they do all their works to be seen by the people: for they broaden their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,
Իրենց բոլոր գործերը կ՚ընեն մարդոցմէ տեսնուելու համար. կը լայնցնեն իրենց գրապանակները եւ կ՚երկնցնեն իրենց հանդերձներուն քղանցքները.
6 and they love the first couch at the suppers, and the first seats in the synagogues,
կը սիրեն առաջին բազմոցները՝ ընթրիքներու մէջ, առաջին աթոռները՝ ժողովարաններու մէջ, բարեւները՝ հրապարակներու վրայ,
7 and salutations in the forums, and to be called by the people, ""Doctor.""
ու “ռաբբի՛, ռաբբի՛” կոչուիլ մարդոցմէ:
8 But be ye not called Doctor: for One is your teacher; and you are all brothers.
Բայց դուք մի՛ կոչուիք “ռաբբի”, որովհետեւ մէ՛կ է ձեր Ուսուցիչը՝ Քրիստոս,
9 And call no man father upon the earth: for One is your Heavenly Father.
եւ դուք բոլորդ եղբայր էք: Ու երկրի վրայ ո՛չ մէկը կոչեցէք ձեր “հայրը”, որովհետեւ մէ՛կ է ձեր Հայրը՝ որ երկինքն է:
10 Be not called teachers: because One is your teacher, Christ.
Եւ դուք մի՛ կոչուիք “ուսուցիչ”, որովհետեւ մէ՛կ է ձեր Ուսուցիչը՝ Քրիստոս:
11 And the great of you shall be your deacon.
Ու ձեր մէջէն մեծագոյնը՝ ձեր սպասարկո՛ւն թող ըլլայ:
12 But whosoever shall exalt himself, shall be abased; and whosoever shall humble himself shall be exalted.
Ո՛վ որ բարձրացնէ ինքզինք՝ պիտի խոնարհի, իսկ ո՛վ որ խոնարհեցնէ ինքզինք՝ պիտի բարձրանայ»:
13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because you shut up the kingdom of the heavens against the people: for you do not go in, neither do you permit those coming in to enter.
«Վա՜յ ձեզի, կեղծաւո՛ր դպիրներ եւ Փարիսեցիներ, որ կը գոցէք երկինքի թագաւորութիւնը մարդոց առջեւ. դո՛ւք չէք մտներ, ու մտնողներուն ալ թոյլ չէք տար՝ որ մտնեն:
Վա՜յ ձեզի, կեղծաւո՛ր դպիրներ եւ Փարիսեցիներ, որ կը լափէք այրիներուն տուները, ու իբր պատրուակ՝ աղօթքը կ՚երկարէք. ուստի աւելի՛ խստութեամբ պիտի դատուիք՝՝:
15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because you compass the sea and the dry land to make one proselyte, and when it may be done, you make him twofold more the son of hell than yourselves. (Geenna g1067)
Վա՜յ ձեզի, կեղծաւո՛ր դպիրներ եւ Փարիսեցիներ, որ կը շրջիք ծով ու ցամաք՝ մէկը նորահաւատ ընելու, եւ երբ ըլլայ՝ զայն ձեզմէ երկու անգամ աւելի գեհենի որդի կ՚ընէք: (Geenna g1067)
16 Woe unto you, blind guides, who are saying, Whosoever may swear by the temple it is nothing; but whosoever may swear by the gold of the temple, he is debtor.
Վա՜յ ձեզի, կո՛յր առաջնորդներ, որ կ՚ըսէք. “Ո՛վ որ երդում կ՚ընէ տաճարին վրայ՝ բան մը չէ, բայց ո՛վ որ երդում կ՚ընէ տաճարի ոսկիի՛ն վրայ՝ պարտաւոր կ՚ըլլայ”:
17 Ye fools and blind: for which is the greater, the gold, or the temple sanctifying the gold?
Յիմարնե՛ր ու կոյրե՛ր, ո՞րը մեծ է, ոսկի՞ն՝ թէ տաճա՛րը, որ կը սրբացնէ ոսկին:
18 And, Whosoever may swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever may swear by the gift upon it, is debtor.
Նաեւ կ՚ըսէք. “Ո՛վ որ երդում կ՚ընէ զոհասեղանին վրայ՝ բան մը չէ, բայց ո՛վ որ երդում կ՚ընէ զոհասեղանին վրայի ընծայի՛ն վրայ՝ պարտաւոր կ՚ըլլայ”:
19 Ye blind: for which is the greater, the gift, or the altar which sanctifies the gift?
Յիմարնե՛ր ու կոյրեր, ո՞րը մեծ է, ընծա՞ն՝ թէ զոհասեղանը, որ կը սրբացնէ ընծան:
20 Therefore the one swearing by the altar, swears by it, and by all things which are on it.
Ուրեմն, ո՛վ որ երդում կ՚ընէ զոհասեղանին վրայ, երդում կ՚ընէ անոր վրայ ու անոր վրայ եղած բոլոր բաներուն վրայ:
21 And the one swearing by the temple, swears by it, and by Him who inhabited it.
Եւ ո՛վ որ երդում կ՚ընէ տաճարին վրայ, երդում կ՚ընէ անոր վրայ ու անոր մէջ բնակողին վրայ:
22 And the one swearing by heaven, swears by the throne of God, and by Him that sitteth upon it.
Եւ ո՛վ որ երդում կ՚ընէ երկինքի վրայ, երդում կ՚ընէ Աստուծոյ գահին վրայ ու անոր վրայ բազմողին վրայ:
23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because you tithe mint and anise and cummin, and pass by the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: it behooves to do these and not to neglect those.
Վա՜յ ձեզի, կեղծաւո՛ր դպիրներ եւ Փարիսեցիներ, որ կը վճարէք անանուխին, սամիթին ու չամանին տասանորդը, բայց կը թողուք Օրէնքին աւելի ծանր բաները՝ իրաւունքը, կարեկցութիւնն ու հաւատքը. ասո՛նք պէտք է ընէիք, եւ զանոնք չձգէիք:
24 Ye blind guides, who strain out the gnat, and swallow down the camel.
Կո՛յր առաջնորդներ, որ կը քամէք մժղուկը ու կը կլլէք ուղտը:
25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because you purify the exterior of the cup and the plate, and within they are full of extortion and impurity.
Վա՜յ ձեզի, կեղծաւո՛ր դպիրներ եւ Փարիսեցիներ, որ կը մաքրէք գաւաթին ու պնակին դուրսի՛ կողմը, բայց ներսէն լեցուն են յափշտակութեամբ եւ անիրաւութեամբ:
26 Ye blind Pharisee, first purify the inside of the cup, in order that its outside may be clean.
Կո՛յր Փարիսեցի, նախ մաքրէ՛ գաւաթին ու պնակին ներսի՛ կողմը, որպէսզի անոնց դուրսի կողմն ալ մաքուր ըլլայ:
27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because you are like whitened sepulchers, which are beautiful indeed externally, but within they are full of the hones of the dead people, and every impurity.
Վա՜յ ձեզի, կեղծաւո՛ր դպիրներ եւ Փարիսեցիներ, որ կը նմանիք ծեփուած գերեզմաններու, որոնք արդարեւ դուրսէն գեղեցիկ կ՚երեւնան, բայց ներսէն լեցուն են մեռելներու ոսկորներով ու ամէն տեսակ անմաքրութեամբ:
28 So you also appear unto the people indeed righteous, but within you are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
Նոյնպէս դուք դուրսէն արդար կ՚երեւնաք մարդոց, իսկ ներսէն լի էք կեղծաւորութեամբ եւ անօրէնութեամբ»:
29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because you build the tombs of the prophets, and ornament the sepulchers of the righteous,
«Վա՜յ ձեզի, կեղծաւո՛ր դպիրներ ու Փարիսեցիներ, որ կը կառուցանէք մարգարէներուն տապանները եւ կը զարդարէք արդարներուն գերեզմանները,
30 and you say, If we were in the days of our fathers we would not have been their fellow-partakers in the blood of the prophets.
ու կ՚ըսէք. “Եթէ մեր հայրերուն օրերը ըլլայինք, անոնց հետ կամակից չէինք ըլլար մարգարէներուն արիւնին թափուելուն”:
31 So you witness to yourselves, that you are the sons of those who murdered the prophets.
Հետեւաբար դո՛ւք կը վկայէք ձեր մասին, թէ որդիներն էք անո՛նց՝ որ կը սպաննէին մարգարէները:
32 And you fill up the measure of your fathers.
Ուստի դո՛ւք ալ ձեր հայրերուն չափը լեցուցէք:
Օձե՛ր, իժերո՛ւ ծնունդներ, ի՞նչպէս պիտի խուսափիք գեհենի դատապարտութենէն: (Geenna g1067)
34 Therefore I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: you will kill and crucify some of them; and will scourge some of them in your synagogues, and will persecute them from city to city;
Ուստի ահա՛ ես կը ղրկեմ ձեզի մարգարէներ եւ իմաստուններ ու դպիրներ: Անոնցմէ ոմանք պիտի սպաննէք եւ խաչէք, ոմանք ալ պիտի խարազանէք ձեր ժողովարաններուն մէջ ու հալածէք քաղաքէ քաղաք:
35 in order that all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel, unto the blood of Zachariah the son of the blessed, whom they slew between the temple and the altar, may come upon you.
Որպէսզի ձեր վրայ գայ երկրի վրայ թափուած ամբողջ արդար արիւնը, արդար Աբէլի արիւնէն մինչեւ Բարաքիայի որդիին՝ Զաքարիայի արիւնը, որ սպաննեցիք տաճարին եւ զոհասեղանին միջեւ:
36 Truly I say unto you, all these things shall come upon this generation.
Ճշմա՛րտապէս կը յայտարարեմ ձեզի. “Այս բոլոր բաները պիտի գան այս սերունդին վրայ”»:
37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them that have been sent unto thee! how frequently did I wish to gather together thy children, in the manner in which a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but ye were not willing!
«Ո՛վ Երուսաղէ՜մ, Երուսաղէ՜մ, որ կը սպաննէիր մարգարէները ու կը քարկոծէիր քեզի ղրկուածները. քանի՜ անգամ ուզեցի հաւաքել զաւակներդ, ինչպէս հաւը թեւերուն տակ կը հաւաքէ իր ձագերը, բայց դուք չուզեցիք:
38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.
Ահա՛ ձեր տունը ամայի պիտի մնայ ձեզի:
39 For I say unto you, that ye can see me no more until you can say; Blessed is He that cometh in the name of the Lord.
Արդարեւ կ՚ըսեմ ձեզի թէ ա՛լ ասկէ ետք պիտի չտեսնէք զիս՝ մինչեւ որ ըսէք. “Օրհնեա՜լ է ա՛ն՝ որ կու գայ Տէրոջ անունով”»:
