Mark 8
1 In those days, the multitude being large, and having nothing which they may eat, Jesus calling His disciples, says to them,
その頃また大なる群衆にて食ふべき物なかりしかば、イエス弟子たちを召して言ひ給ふ、
2 I sympathize with the multitude because three days already abide unto me, and they have nothing which they may eat.
『われ此の群衆を憫む、既に三日われと偕にをりて、食ふべき物なし。
3 If I shall send them away to their homes fasting, they will faint on the road; indeed some of them have come from afar.
飢ゑしままにて其の家に歸らしめば、途にて疲れ果てん。其の中には遠くより來れる者あり』
4 And His disciples responded, Whence shall any one be able to feed these with bread in the desert?
弟子たち答へて言ふ『この寂しき地にては、何處よりパンを得て、この人々を飽かしむべき』
5 And He asked them, How much bread have you? And they said, Seven loaves.
イエス問ひ給ふ『パン幾つあるか』答へて『七つ』といふ。
6 He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground; and taking the seven loaves, giving thanks, He broke, and gave them to His disciples, that they may dispense them; and they presented them to the multitude.
イエス群衆に命じて地に坐せしめ、七つのパンを取り、謝して之を裂き、弟子たちに與へて群衆の前におかしむ。弟子たち乃ちその前におく。
7 And they had a few fishes: and blessing them, He delivered them.
また小き魚すこしばかりあり、祝して、之をもその前におけと言ひ給ふ。
8 And they ate, and were filled: and they took up the residue of the fragments, seven baskets.
人々 食ひて飽き、裂きたる餘を拾ひしに、七つの籃に滿ちたり。
9 And those eating were about four thousand. And He sent them away.
その人おほよそ四千 人なりき。イエス彼らを歸し、
10 And immediately having gone into the ship with His disciples, He came to the parts of Dalmanutha.
直ちに弟子たちと共に舟に乘りて、ダルマヌタの地方に往き給へり。
11 And the Pharisees came out, and began to question Him, seeking from Him a sign from heaven. tempting Him.
パリサイ人いで來りて、イエスと論じはじめ、之を試みて天よりの徴をもとむ。
12 And groaning in spirit, He says, What sign does this generation seek after? truly I say unto you, No sign shall be given unto this generation.
イエス心に深く歎じて言ひ給ふ『なにゆゑ今の代は徴を求むるか、まことに汝らに告ぐ、徴は今の代に斷えて與へられじ』
13 And having left them, coming in again He departed to the other side.
かくて彼らを離れ、また舟に乘りて彼方に往き給ふ。
14 And they forgot to take bread; and had but one loaf with them in the ship.
弟子たちパンを携ふることを忘れ、舟には唯一つの他パンなかりき。
15 And He commanded them, saying, See, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod.
イエス彼らを戒めて言ひたまふ『愼みて、パリサイ人のパンだねと、ヘロデのパンだねとに心せよ』
16 And they were reasoning to one another, saying, It is because we have not bread.
弟子たち互に、これはパン無き故ならんと語り合ふ。
17 And Jesus knowing says to them, Why do you reason because you have not bread? do you not yet know, nor understand? have you your heart still hardened?
イエス知りて言ひたまふ『何ぞパン無き故ならんと語り合ふか、未だ知らぬか、悟らぬか、汝らの心なほ鈍きか。
18 Having eyes, do you not see? having ears, do you not hear? and do you not remember?
目ありて見ぬか、耳ありて聽かぬか。又なんぢら思ひ出でぬか、
19 When I broke the five loaves to the five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments did you take up? They say to Him, Twelve.
五つのパンを裂きて、五 千 人に與へし時、その餘を幾筐ひろひしか』弟子たち言ふ『十二』
20 And when the seven loaves to the four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments did you take up? And they said, Seven.
『七つのパンを裂きて四千 人に與へし時、その餘を幾籃ひろひしか』弟子たち言ふ『七つ』
21 And He said to them, Do you not yet understand?
イエス言ひたまふ『未だ悟らぬか』
22 And they come into Bethsaida: and they bring Him a blind man, and they intreat Him that He may touch him.
彼ら遂にベツサイダに到る。人々、盲人をイエスに連れ來りて、觸り給はんことを願ふ。
23 And taking the blind man by the hand, He led him out of the village; and spitting in his eyes, putting His hands on him, He asked him, if he sees anything.
イエス盲人の手をとりて、村の外に連れ往き、その目に唾し、御手をあてて『なにか見ゆるか』と問ひ給へば、
24 And looking up he said, I see the men walking about like trees.
見 上げて言ふ『人を見る、それは樹の如き物の歩くが見ゆ』
25 Then again He put His hands on his eyes, and he looked up; and was restored, and saw all things distinctly.
また御手をその目にあて給へば、視凝めたるに、癒えて凡てのもの明かに見えたり。
26 And He sent him to his own house, saying, Go not into the village.
かくて『村にも入るな』と言ひて、その家に歸し給へり。
27 And Jesus and His disciples went away into the villages of Caesarea Philippi; and on the way He asked His disciples, saying to them, Whom do the people say that I am?
イエス其の弟子たちとピリポ・カイザリヤの村々に出でゆき、途にて弟子たちに問ひて言ひたまふ『人々は我を誰と言ふか』
28 And they answered Him saying, John the Baptist: and others, Elijah; and others, One of the prophets.
答へて言ふ『バプテスマのヨハネ、或 人はエリヤ、或 人は預言者の一人』
29 And He asked them, Whom do you say that I am? And Peter responding says to Him, Thou art the Christ.
また問ひ給ふ『なんぢらは我を誰と言ふか』ペテロ答へて言ふ『なんぢはキリストなり』
30 And He charged them that they should speak to no one concerning Him.
イエス己がことを誰にも告ぐなと、彼らを戒め給ふ。
31 And He began to teach them, that it behooves the Son of man to suffer many things, and to be rejected by the elders, and the chief priests and the scribes, and to be killed, and after three days to rise.
かくて人の子の必ず多くの苦難をうけ、長老・祭司長・學者らに棄てられ、かつ殺され、三日の後に甦へるべき事を教へはじめ、
32 And He was boldly speaking the word. And Peter taking Him to him began to rebuke Him.
此の事をあらはに語り給ふ。ここにペテロ、イエスを傍にひきて戒め出でたれば、
33 And He turning and seeing His disciples rebuked Peter, and says, Get behind me, adversary: because thou art not thinking the things of God, but those of men.
イエス振反りて弟子たちを見、ペテロを戒めて言ひ給ふ『サタンよ、わが後に退け、汝は神のことを思はず、反つて人のことを思ふ』
34 And calling the multitude to Him with His disciples, He said to them, Whosoever wishes to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
かくて群衆を弟子たちと共に呼び寄せて言ひたまふ『人もし我に從ひ來らんと思はば、己をすて、己が十字架を負ひて我に從へ。
35 For whosoever may wish to save his soul shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his soul for my sake and that of the gospel shall save it.
己が生命を救はんと思ふ者は、これを失ひ、我が爲また福音の爲に己が生命をうしなふ者は、之を救はん。
36 For what shall it profit a man to gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
人、全世界を贏くとも、己が生命を損せば、何の益あらん、
37 For what would a man give in exchange for his soul?
人その生命の代に何を與へんや。
38 For whosoever may be ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and wicked generation, the Son of man shall also be ashamed of him, when He may come in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.
不義なる罪 深き今の代にて、我または我が言を恥づる者をば、人の子もまた、父の榮光をもて、聖なる御使たちと共に來らん時に恥づべし』
