Mark 15
1 And immediately early in the morning the high priests having made counsel with the elders and scribes, and all the sanhedrim, having bound Jesus, led Him away, and delivered Him to Pilate.

2 And Pilate asked Him, Art thou the King of the Jews? And responding He says to him, Thou sayest it.

3 And the chief priests were accusing Him of many things.
Ja ylimmäiset papit kantoivat hänen päällensä paljon.
4 And Pilate again asked Him, saying, Do you not answer? behold, how many things they witness against you.
Niin Pilatus kysyi taas häneltä ja sanoi: etkös mitään vastaa? Katso, kuinka paljon he sinua vastaan todistavat.
5 And Jesus responded nothing at all; so that Pilate marveled.
Mutta ei Jesus sitte ensinkään vastannut, niin että Pilatus ihmetteli.
6 But during the feast he was accustomed to release unto them one prisoner, whom they asked,
Mutta juhlana päästi hän heille yhden vangin irralle, kenenkä he anoivat.
7 And there was one called Barabbas, having been bound along with the insurrectionists, who had committed murder during the insurrection.
Niin oli yksi nimeltä Barabbas, joka oli sidottu kapinan nostajitten kanssa, jotka kapinassa murhan tehneet olivat.
8 And the multitude crying out began to ask, as he was always accustomed to do unto them.
Ja kansa huusi ja rupesi häntä rukoilemaan, että hän tekis niinkuin hän aina heille tehnyt oli.
9 And Pilate responded to them, saying, Do you wish that I may release unto you the King of the Jews?
Niin Pilatus vastasi heitä, sanoen: tahdotteko, että minä päästän teille Juudalaisten kuninkaan?
10 For he knew that the chief priests had delivered Him on account of envy.
(Sillä hän tiesi, että ylimmäiset papit olivat hänen kateudesta antaneet ylön.)
11 And the chief priests persuaded the multitude that he should rather release unto them Barabbas.
Mutta ylimmäiset papit yllyttivät kansaa, että hän heille ennen päästäis Barabbaan.
12 And Pilate responding again said to them, Then what do you wish that I shall do unto Him whom you call the King of the Jews.
Niin Pilatus vastasi ja taas sanoi heille: mitä te siis tahdotte, että minun pitää tälle tekemän, jonka te Juudalaisten kuninkaaksi kutsutte?
13 And they again cried out, Crucify Him.
Niin he taas huusivat: ristiinnaulitse häntä.
14 And Pilate said to them, For what evil hath He done? And they cried out uproariously, Crucify Him.
Mutta Pilatus sanoi heille: mitäs hän pahaa on tehnyt? Mutta he huusivat vielä kovemmin: ristiinnaulitse häntä.
15 And Pilate, wishing to do the multitude a favor, released unto them Barabbas. And having scourged Jesus, he delivered Him up that He should be crucified.
Mutta Pilatus tahtoi kansan mielen noutaa ja päästi heille Barabbaan. Ja Jesuksen, kuin hän hänen ruoskinut oli, antoi ylös ristiinnaulittaa.
16 And the soldiers led Him into the court, which is the judgment hall; and call around Him the whole band.
Niin huovit veivät hänen raastupaan ja kutsuivat kokoon kaiken joukon,
17 And they put on Him a purple robe, and having plaited a thorny crown, put it on Him.
Ja puettivat hänen purpuraan ja panivat hänen päähänsä väännetyn orjantappuraisen kruunun,
18 And they began to mock Him, Hail, King of the Jews!
Ja rupesivat häntä tervehtimään: terve Juudalaisten kuningas!
19 And they continued to strike His head with a reed, and spit on Him, and putting down their knees worshiped Him.
Ja he löivät häntä päähän ruovolla ja sylkivät hänen päällensä, panivat polvillensa ja kumartaen rukoilivat häntä.
20 And when they mocked Him, they divested Him of the purple robe, and put on Him His own raiment: and lead Him away in order that they may crucify Him.
Ja kuin he olivat häntä pilkanneet, riisuivat he häneltä purpuran, ja puettivat hänen omiin vaatteisiinsa, ja veivät hänen ulos ristiinnaulittaa.
21 And they compel a certain Simon, a Cyrenean, coming from the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, that he must take His cross.
Ja niin he vaativat yhden, joka ohitse kävi (ja tuli pellolta, Simonin Kyreniläisen, Aleksanderin ja Rufin isän), kantamaan hänen ristiänsä.
22 And they lead Him to Golgotha, a place which is interpreted, The place of a skull.

23 And they gave Him myrrhed wine to drink: and He did not take it.

24 And they crucify Him, and divide His garments, casting the lot upon them, what each one may take.

25 And it was the third hour, and they crucified Him.

26 And the superscription of His accusation was written over Him, THE KING OF THE JEWS.

27 And they crucify two thieves along with Him; the one on His right, and one on His left.

29 And passing by they continued to blaspheme Him, wagging their heads, and saying, Aha, thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days,

30 save thyself, and come down from the cross.

31 Likewise also the chief priests mocking to one another with the scribes, continued to say, He saved others; He is not able to save Himself.
Niin myös ylimmäiset papit pilkkasivat häntä keskenänsä kirjanoppineiden kanssa, sanoen: muita hän autti, ei hän voi itsiänsä auttaa.
32 Let Christ, the King of Israel, now come down from the cross, in order that we may see and believe. And those being crucified along with Him were reproaching Him.
Kristus, Israelin kuningas, astukaan nyt alas rististä, että me näkisimme ja uskoisimme. Ja ne, jotka hänen kanssansa ristiinnaulitut olivat, pilkkasivat häntä.
33 And it being the sixth hour, there was darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.

34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

35 And certain ones of those standing by said, Behold, He is calling Elijah.

36 And one running and filling a sponge with vinegar, and reaching it forth on a reed, gave Him drink, saying, Let Him alone, let us see if Elijah comes to take Him down.
Niin juoksi yksi ja täytti sienen etikalla ja pani sen ruovon ympärille, taritsi hänen juoda, sanoen: pidäs! katsokaamme, tuleeko Elias häntä ottamaan pois.
37 And Jesus, sending forth a loud voice, expired.

38 And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from top even to the bottom.

39 And the centurion standing by in front of Him, seeing that He thus expired, said; Surely this man was the Son of God.

40 And there were women looking on from a distance: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and Joses, and Salome;

41 who when He was in Galilee, were accustomed both to follow Him, and minister unto Him. And many other women who came up to Jerusalem along with Him.

42 And it already being evening, since it was the Preparation, which is the day before the Sabbath,

43 Joseph, who is from Arimathea, an honorable councilor, who also himself was waiting for the kingdom of God; having taken courage came to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus.

44 And Pilate was astonished if He had died already. And having called the centurion, asked him if He was already dead.

45 And having learned from the centurion, he gave the body to Joseph.

46 And having purchased linen, and taking Him down, he wrapped Him in the linen, and placed Him in a sepulcher which had been hewn out of the rock; and he rolled a stone to the door of the sepulcher.
Ja hän osti liinavaatteen, otti hänen alas ja kääri liinavaatteeseen, ja pani hänen hautaan, joka kallioon hakattu oli, ja vieritti kiven haudan ovelle.
47 And Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses were looking where He is placed.
