Mark 13
1 And He departing out from the temple, one of His disciples says to Him, Teacher, behold, how great stones and how great buildings!
Yesu alipokuwa akitembea kutoka hekaluni, mmoja wa wanafunzi wake akamwuliza, “Mwalimu, tazama mawe haya yakushangaza na majengo!”
2 And Jesus responding said to him, Do you see these great buildings? stone may not be left upon stone, which may not be thrown down.
Akamwambia, Unaona majengo haya makubwa? Hakuna hata jiwe moja litakalo salia juu ya jingine ambalo halitaangushwa chini”.
3 And He sitting upon the Mount of Olives in front of the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked Him privately,
Naye alipokuwa amekaa juu ya Mlima wa Mizeituni nyuma ya hekalu, Petro, Yakobo, Yohana na Andrea wakamwuliza kwa siri,
4 Tell us, when these things shall be? and what shall be the sign when all these things may be about to have an end?
“Tuambie, mambo haya yatakuwa lini? Ni nini dalili ya mambo haya kutokea?”
5 And Jesus began to say to them, See, lest any one may deceive you.
Yesu alianza kuwaambia, “Kuweni makini kwamba mtu yoyote asiwapotoshe.
6 For many will come in my name, saying, I am He; and will deceive many. I
Wengi watakuja kwa jina langu wakisema, 'Mimi ndiye', na watawapotosha wengi.
7 And when you may hear of wars and rumors of wars, be not disturbed: for it behooves it to be so; but the end is not yet.
Mtakaposikia vita na tetesi za vita, msiogope; mambo haya hayana budi kutokea, lakini mwisho bado.
8 For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earth-quakes in divers places; and there shall be famines.
Taifa litainuka kinyume na taifa jingine, na ufalme kinyume na ufalme. Patakuwa na matetemeko sehemu mbalimbali, na njaa. Huu ni mwanzo wa utungu.
9 These are the beginnings of travails. But you take heed to yourselves: for they will deliver you into councils; and will beat you in the synagogues: and you shall stand before governors and kings on account of me, for a testimony unto them.
Iweni macho. Watawapeleka hadi mabarazani, na mtapingwa katika masinagogi. Mtasimamishwa mbele ya watawala na wafalme kwa ajili yangu, kama ushuhuda kwao.
10 And it behooves the gospel first to be preached to all the nations.
Lakini injili lazima kwanza ihubiriwe kwa mataifa yote.
11 And when they may lead you forth, delivering you up, do not be solicitous what you may speak, nor meditate: but whatsoever may be given to you in that hour, speak this: for you are not those speaking, but the Holy Spirit.
Watakapo wakamata na kuwakabidhi, msiogope kuhusu kile mtakachosema. Ndani ya muda huo, mtapewa nini cha kusema; hamtakuwa ninyi mtakaoongea, bali Roho Mtakatifu.
12 And brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father the child; and the children will rise up against the parents, and put them to death.
Ndugu atamshitaki ndugu kuuawa, baba na mtoto wake. Watoto watasimama kinyume cha baba zao na kuwasababisha kuuawa.
13 And you shall be hated by all on account of my name: but the one persevering to the end, the same shall be saved.
Mtachukiwa na kila mtu kwa sababu ya jina langu. Lakini atakayevumilia mpaka mwisho, mtu huyo ataokoka.
14 And when you may see the abomination of desolation standing where it ought not (let him that readeth know), then let those in Judea fly to the mountains:
Mtakapoona chukizo la uharibifu limesimama pale lisipotakiwa kusimama (asomaye na afahamu), ndipo walioko ndani ya Yuda wakimbilie milimani,
15 and let not the one on the housetop come down, nor enter in, to take anything out of his house:
naye aliyeko juu ya nyumba asishuke chini ya nyumba, au kuchukua chochote kilichoko nje,
16 and let not the one who is in the field turn back to take his garment.
na aliyeko shambani asirudi kuchukua vazi lake.
17 But alas unto those who are in gestation and nursing in those days.
Lakini ole wao wanawake wenye mimba na wanyonyeshao katika siku hizo!
18 But pray that your flight may not be in the winter.
Ombeni kwamba isitokee wakati wa baridi.
19 For these days will be tribulation, such as has never been from the beginning of creation which God created, until now, and never may be.
Kwani patakuwa na mateso makubwa, ambayo hayajawahi kutokea, tangu Mungu alipoumba ulimwengu, mpaka sasa, hapana, wala haitatokea tena.
20 And unless the Lord shortened those days, no flesh would be saved: but for the sake of the elect, whom He chose, He shortened the days.
Mpaka Bwana atakapopunguza siku, hakuna mwili utakaookoka, lakini kwa ajili ya wateule, atakaowachagua, atapunguza namba za siku.
21 And if then one may say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, Lo, there; believe not.
Wakati huo kama mtu yeyote atawaambia, Tazama, Kristo yuko hapa!' au 'Tazama, yuko pale!' msiamini.
22 For false Christs and false prophets will arise, and give signs and wonders, to deceive even the elect, if possible.
Kwani Wakristo wa uongo na manabii wa uongo watatokea na watatoa ishara na maajabu, ili kwamba, wawadanganye, yamkini hata wateule.
23 But you see: behold, I have foretold you all things.
Iweni macho! Nimekwisha wambia haya yote kabla ya wakati.
24 And in those days, after that desolation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give her light,
Lakini baada ya mateso ya siku hizo, jua litatiwa giza, mwezi hautatoa mwanga wake,
25 and the stars of heaven will be falling, and the powers which are in the heavens shall be shaken.
nyota zitaanguka kutoka angani, na nguvu zilizoko mbinguni zitatikisika.
26 And then they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
Ndipo watakapomwona Mwana wa Adamu akija mawinguni kwa nguvu kubwa na utukufu.
27 And then He will send forth His angels, and will gather His elect from the four winds, from the extremity of the earth unto the extremity of heaven.
Ndipo atatuma malaika zake na atawakusanya pamoja wateule wake kutoka pande kuu nne za dunia, kutoka mwisho wa dunia mpaka mwisho wa mbingu.
28 But learn the parable from the fig-tree: when her branches may be now tender, and she may grow out leaves, know that the summer is nigh.
Kwa mtini jifunzeni. Kama tawi liwezavyo kutoa na kuweka haraka majani yake, ndipo mtajua kwamba kiangazi kiko karibu.
29 So you also, when you may see these things take place, know that it is already at the doors.
Ndivyo ilivyo, mtakapoona mambo haya yakitokea, jueni kwamba yuko karibu, na malango.
30 Truly I say unto you, this race may not pass away, until all these things may be fulfilled.
Kweli, nawambieni, hiki kizazi hakitapita mbali kabla mambo haya hayajatokea.
31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
Mbingu na nchi zitapita, lakini maneno yangu hayatapita kamwe.
32 But concerning that day or hour no one knows, neither the angels who are in heaven, or the Son, but the Father.
Lakini kuhusu siku hiyo au saa, hakuna ajuaye, hata malaika wa mbinguni, wala Mwana, ila Baba.
33 Beware, watch; for you know not when the time is.
Iweni macho, Tazama, kwa sababu hamjui ni muda gani yatatokea. (Zingatia: Mstari huu, “Muwe waangalifu, Tazameni na ombeni kwa sababu...” haumo kwenye nakala za kale).
34 As a man, going away, leaving his own house, and giving authority to his servants, and to each one his work, and commanded the porter that he should watch.
Ni kama mtu anayeenda safarini: akaacha nyumba yake, na kumweka mtumwa wake kuwa mtawala wa nyumba, kila mmoja na kazi yake. Na kumwamuru mlinzi kukaa macho.
35 Watch therefore: for you know not when the Lord of the house cometh, late, or at midnight, or at the crowing of the cock, or in the morning;
Kwa hiyo iweni macho! Kwani hamjui ni lini bwana wa nyumba atakaporudi nyumbani, yawezekana ni jioni, usiku wa manane, wakati jogoo atakapowika, au asubuhi.
36 lest having come suddenly he may find you sleeping.
Kama akija ghafla, asikukute umelala.
37 And the things I say to you, I say to all, Watch.
Kile nikisemacho kwako nakisema kwa kila mtu: Kesheni”!
